Oh you can say that again, doctor Fox. Good to have you with us. How are you, sir, Good to be with you. I'm doing great boy. Speaking of sociology, what a study here. I mean, I had a nun that would always tell us that stupidity meant when you know better and you still choose to do something, And that stayed with me for the longest time.

Yeah, well, that's what I've been seeing happening over the country for the past ten years. It's not that people are unintelligent or without experience and knowledge, but they abdicate on their god given moral individual process of thinking. They abdicate on that just to go along with the ideology. And of course Dietrich Bonifert was speaking about the Third Reich, you know, of you German people, this is not right. You're just going along with the ideology. Now, I'm not saying the United States is anything like that, but the principle of it is, why are smart people, college professors, clergy there are so many that are qualified in what they do speaking like buffoons, you know, that's the only way to put it.

1:50 Doctor. I think it's laziness. It's just outright laziness. I mean, I don't want to do my own homework. I'm just going to listen to talking heads because on this show, you know, I've asked people several times who told you? Who told you something so idiotic? And then it was bad enough that was idiotic to begin with, but then you picked it up like as if it was fact and there's no true substance behind it. I mean, take Sophie Cunningham, for instance, who, over the past few days has a beautiful athletic lady, a highly accomplished high achiever. She very casually and calmly said that she defends women's sports and trans gender should not be in women's sports. And the opposition she's got it's as though she touched, you know, the face of God and that was wrong. You know, it's atrocious to even have an opinion, which, of course you know more than I do, is our first amendment right, and to articulate that, either in writing words or something else. So, yeah, it's time to nail our colors to the mast and as they say, and state what we believe. And that's how my life has formed, and that's the direction it's taking.

3:05 Well, you know, you mentioned the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler. I remind our audience that was only about ten percent of Germans that became Nazis, that engaged themselves in group thinks, siloed themselves into stupidity, rendered themselves near useless to the majority of the remaining ninety percent of Germans. And you know, followed a tyrannical leader that murdered people and the horror of his legacy is unbelievable, but it should be a reminder that it could happen to any of us. Well, look at the Democratic Party right now. It's divided right down the middle between traditional Democrats and socialist Democrats.

3:51 And what they're doing is they're fighting for what I believe to be a generation gen Z that are politically not at home. They're unhoused, they're homeless politically, and so you've got smart people gen Z who have all kinds of entrepreneurial ways of communicating and making money, very different than the millennials, and the socialist Democrats are playing into that. And the surprise again is smart gen Z people that are politically homeless are buying into something like just wait, I think, what are you being told? Free homes, free utilities, free baby care, babysitting. It's in New York, it's in Seattle.

4:37 You're seeing these socialists pop up everywhere. But they're playing towards people that have abdicated on their moral and individual thought against the same principle at play. Yes, exactly, And I would say you give them a lot more credit by saying it's split down the middle. I don't think it's split down the middle at all. I think, again, using what happened in Germany, it's just a very loud, small and seemingly powerful group of people in this particular case that's supported by the mainstream media that's giving them credibility. And you can shout somebody down. You know. You mentioned the WNBA player in Cunningham. You can shout her down, and you know, but I love her stance. And this is the thing, and you write about it in your book, is when your feet are solid on the truth. You know, Okay, fine, you can lie say whatever you want to say about me, but the truth isn't going to change is and I'm not going to abdicate my position on the truth.

5:38 I'm glad you think like that. So glad you think like that, and I'm not surprised that you do. But you've got so many that don't. You've got two sides to this. You've got these minority socialist loud voices, and you correct, they are a minority, but they're loud and heavily funded. That's one thing to address. But then you've got the people that are responding positively to them. It's like going to the zoo and watching the zookeeper come out with a bucket of fresh fish and throwing it to the sea lions, and the sea lions will clap their hands, They'll do all kinds of tricks just to get some fish. That's the age old trick of socialism, which you know is communism as well, or at leads to communism. So my concern is not the to be honest, the lunatic voices of socialism in this country, like the governor of New York saying she wants to change the word mother to gestating parent. I mean, how insulting to you know, to a woman who's got the god given right to bring life into the world that me and you don't as men. It's just insulting. But lunacy, that's one thing. But you look at the crowds that are clapping like sea liings for fish. How then do we combat this? How do we help said people to think it through? I only think time is going to hell where people feel the pinch that the dictatorship that they follow in socialism enriches itself while those who follow it

7:09 become impoverished and become all the same. And that ruins the very values of gen Z, which is authenticity and vigitalism, And so we all become the same. We're all it's George orwell, it's it's policing our speech, our language, and you know, changing words so quickly. So the two sides of it are the lunacy that's speaking it, but the mass crowds that are actually following this. I think there's a frustration there in that in that generation. You know it I know from my own work, is unaffordable housing for people getting out of college, college prices just skyrocketing.

7:56 There's an unfairness in that. I'm not saying gen Z or a lazy people. I'm saying it's stacked against them. But what they're going for is certainly not the answer. Yeah, I think it's that proposition of a good observation wrong conclusion, because I think the bottom line of this, doctor Fox, at least what I've observed is after everything is all said and done, people don't want to be duped. You know, the Germans didn't want to be duped when they realized they were duped because of their silence and non participation and you know, going along to get along kind of deal. They were upset with themselves, but they were upset with you know, the party apparatcheck. And I think this is what the Democratic Party is setting itself up to because they're offering something they really can't provide.

8:43 And what we're seeing is the tip of the iceberg. We're not looking underneath. We need to pull back, you know, the tide and that which is covering you know, the apparatchick that's driving this. You talked about outside money and outside influence, but also there's a bigger agenda that's underneath all this, just like there was with Nazison any other form of communism. But critical thinking and persuasion and rhetoric are no longer offered at most universities, especially critical thinking and civil dialogue, the ability to discourse and not destroy your fellow human being.

15:29 I think Ronald Reagan was terrific at that, and he used a great deal of humor. He wouldn't destroy his opponent and at the end of it they would shake hands. Unlike what we saw in the World Cup final with Spain and Argentina. You'd have thought two great teams, Spain one, they would have shaken hands, good sportsmanship. But no, there was altercations and so on many platforms, political, in the marketplace, in sports, and even in religion. You're seeing altercations that teach this young, good generation. This is the new civil dialogue, this is the new critical thinking. It is simply to react. You've got to think beyond tomorrow morning's breakfast. You've got to think to next year, the next five years, the next ten years. You watch the city of New York.

16:16 Over the next five years, it will not be the same place that it is today. So then how do we teach how do we show an example to this next generation. That's what the book addresses. And I think part of it, though, is that New York is showing as an example to the next generation. What's going on here. Yes, it all sounds good. You know, you've got these government run stores, and it's like, wait a minute, it's not like nobody else has tried it out. In Kansas, they tried it, it failed miserably I mean, we're just saying here in the United States. Of course, internationally it's failed time and time again. You know, free buses. Oh yeah, we're gonna have free buses. Well, you know that's not happening, and you know it's not even and we're not even getting to that point. You know that Margaret Thatcher talked about about running out of They're already out of other people. They were out of other people's money to begin with.

17:10 Oh man, I would love if I had the powers to to resurrect Margaret Thatcher and bring it back to Great Britain, where I come from. But what's happening in Great Britain. I think we will see here in the United States. I think the Democrats Socialists will form their own party. I do think there will be a third party. And you know, and I know there is plenty of money out there to fund such things that will simply want America to burn, which is George Soros is one of them. That's what That's what I'm saying, doctor Fox, what's underneath? You know, we're not seeing what's down beneath the glacier. We're just seeing the tip of the iceberg. We're not seeing down below and what you mentioned, he's just one of many that are there funding this, you know, the demise of this great American experiment.

17:56 Yeah, you can't see that. Mon Damie in New York has actually won that election to be mayor on his own merit, along with his pinky gold rings and all kinds of things that he's into. The man's never had a real job, he's never had a supervisor, a boss, he's never gone into the workplace. So characters like that are the most malleable and pliable people that will sell their soul just to get in front of the camera and be elected. But as you say, it's what's behind them. It's like poets say, it's the song beneath the words, what is actually happening. And for me, as an immigrant that came into this country on a visa, got a permanent residence, and then I became a citizen of the United States, I'm a proud naturalized citizen. I want to show my ID when I go to vote because it cost me. I went through the process and proud to be here. And all these policies that are coming out are going to separate the Democrats into a two tier party or a completely different party. The socialist agenda affects policies, it affects identity, and it will definitely separate in my view, and I could be wrong from the traditional Democrats, and if it does, I think it'll come out. And if you pardon the expression, you know, your skirty is lifted and you can see what's happened.

19:21 Of course, right, exactly, No, it's a civil war based on identity. You're exactly right. And the Democratic Socialists have just hijacked that party. And it's amazing to me how the moderates have kind of just I think they're just in shock. They just can't believe that it happened. They felt like they, oh, there's no way this could happen. That we have enough strength, and yeah, AOC will give her her due. We'll let her, you know, get in front of a camera and you know, let her exercise her charm, you know, like a snake, you know, dancing to the music of the flute. That's okay, But they didn't realize how dangerous she would be along with Bernie Sanders and the rest of him and mom Donnie with all his charm. I mean, look at look what Bill Clinton did to America with his I mean very charming man, Barack Obama. He won on charm. What was the substance?

20:12 Again, it points to the audience, and again the book titled Truth in the Age of Applause. Applause does not make something true. You know, I used to have a full head of hair, and I don't any longer. In my mid thirties, I started to thin out, and so by the time I hate forty, I started to shave my head. This is a real time example. I took my daughter to get her hair done and as a pre thing before she got married, and I went to go pay for a hair that was all styled in everything, and the individual that I was talking to wasn't looking up, and they said to me, did you enjoy your experience today? I said, well, yes, are you pleased with the way your hair looks? And I look like this? And I said, well, I'm very pleased. And it went on and on for about thirty seconds. She never looked up. People around got the giggles. That is a comedy of the reality that we face today. Don't change women's names from mother to ges stating parent. Don't mess with the language like that.

21:14 See you even see this on the Supreme Court in the month of June where a vote was taken about transgender in sports, and rightly so, I believe they put that back to the States, but they said this is we vote against trans in sports. The New States decide in their twenty nine states that say no trans in sports. But three dissenting justices, all female, voted for trans being in female sports. Now, if it was men, maybe you could understand, because they're men and they have no idea what it is to be a woman. But for three women, and one of them in her hearing, she was asked if she could justice Brown Jackson Brown if you find a woman, and she said, I'm not a biologist. All she needed to say was, don't be stupid. You're looking at one and you're listening to one, because I am one.

22:10 And she would have got the world's attention for reality and common sense and so on every platform that you see, there is this undercurrent that leaves you thinking, what's fueling this lunacy that I cast stupidity right exactly. And you have the normalization of socialism and everything that goes with the package, which is scary and still I believe a majority of people are just going along to get along here because and I think this is kind of the disease of America in a general sense. De Tokeville referred to it as that, Hey, Americans are just good people. Yes, and I think we're good people. We want to think well of others, plain ice and that, but we need to understand that there needs to be boundaries.

In the World Cup where forty eight nations came to play soccer in the United States and in Mexico, you had people that were not funded paid for unsolicited comments posting all over social media saying America is great, but people are hospitable. I love my uber driver, taxi driver, I love my waitress. Now that warmed my heart because they were not being paid to do that. No one was asked, There was no agenda underneath, like we're talking about. We both have been traveling wonderers, Me and Hawaii and you in you know, South Africa. How much fun was that? It was? I was a group of friends were doing a safari at various wild game parts in South Africa and Zimbabwe and Botswana, and one of them couldn't but the last minute couldn't go, so they had a free ticket for me. So because the right exactly, so. You didn't and you didn't have to become a socialist to take advantage of it. So that's even better.

29:25 Right, But I got I learned some lessons about the kind of socialism we're facing right now. Remember the Zori Mumdani, the Islamist socialist who's mayor of New York, pointed to what the transition in South Africa as the model for what he wants to do with New York City, which on the face of it ought to be kind of alarming. It suggests that New York City under Rudolph Giuliani and Republicans was the equivalent of apartheid South Africa. That that's how evil people, the Democratic Socialists, that's how evil they think America is. They think America is as tainted by racism and inequality and fundamentally authoritarian, not a real democracy as South Africa was. Hold on, Bill, would you could you pause for a second. My dog is doing something.

30:18 I have to stop. I have to open the door of the dog or he's just gonna keep scratching at it. Okay, no ores, no worries, We got okay, all right, Yeah, go ahead and pick it up. All right from there go. So, Mom, Donnie and his allies regard America as basically an apartheid dictatorship. Think about that. Well, I had that in mind when I visited South Africa. We we flew into Johannesburg, which is kind of a big slum, and people, what Natas told us, don't don't even bother to tour, just go straight to Cape Town. We went to Cape Town, which is where most of the whites current who remain in South Africa live. In nineteen eighty six, when I graduated college, when the old regime was in power, twenty percent of South Africans were white. It's now down to seven percent. Wow, seven percent, So two thirds of them apparently fled. And our guide, who was a white of African descent, you know, she gave the standard line, which there's a lot of truth to that. The old regime was incredibly repressive. It restricted people's personal liberties, It segregated them by race, by tribe, by ethnic group. It tried to manage diversity, and it tried to do it heavy hand of the state, and ultimately, because of international pressure

31:48 a boycott's the regime was forced to give way to Nelson Mandela, and everybody holds him up as this wonderful model of democratic transition. Now, he had been a long time terrorists. He had committed terrorist acts, ordered terrorist acts, murders, assassinations, mob violence. He had allied with the South African Communist Party. His wife, Winnie Mandela, would regularly have black South Africans burned alive with a tire around their neck. And Mendela when he came to power, he admirably did not set up a Cuban style dictatorship the way Rhodesia had. Rhodesia had been a minority white government. It didn't have apartheid, and it restricted voting based on property, so there were plenty of blacks who could vote that had to have a certain amount of money. This was to avoid socialism, avoid the masses of poor African people who hadn't yet been educated voting to take all the property, all the farms, all the things that the white settlers had built. Zimbabwe felt and turned into a Cuban, a Cuban style dictatorship with violent seizure of land. The whites driven out. Most of them are gone now. The country went into mass inflation.

33:10 You can buy a two hundred billion dollar Zimbabwean note. That notes of two hundred billion dollars. Oh wow, that you couldn't buy bread with UH. The food production plummeted. It went from being a food exporter to to UH having famines. Well, South Africa didn't go that bad, Okay, It did not lapse into a Cuban style dictatorship. Instead, it became a kleptocracy where the African National Congress basically still runs the country. Kind of the way the mafia used to runs some American cities, all the all the jobs, all the government money gets looted by relatives of public officials.

33:53 There's an elaborate racial system where every business that has government contracts has to be major already black owned, and the white businessmen hire blacky black people to be on their boards so that they can be minority majority minority minority black. The country's economy has just tapered into decline. H A lot of the far a lot of the big farmers have gone out of business. The townships, which used to be segregated where black people were forced to live, used to have schools and electricity and running water. Now all of that's gone because people steal the copper from the pipes, the copper from the wires. Now the townships don't actually have a police force. One one tour guy was telling me they rely on mob justice, where if someone commits a crime, the mobs will find him and they will and they will kill him or they will drive him out because there's there's no formal policing. So what I took away from this is but the old governments in Rhodesia and South Africa we were doomed, okay, because they were minorities trying to sort of impose modern life on relatively backward people of an alien civilization to their own. Okay, those regimes weren't were far from perfect,

35:24 and they, especially the South African regime, did did some bad, really bad things. If SpaceX were a country, it would be the world's number one space bearing nation, far ahead of China. Ziegelman rights again the contrast here between capitalism and socialism. Socialism would never even get to the platform of a space project, would they.

They spent three hundred billion in today's statuts with four hundred thousand people working there in twenty thousand compers, you can make something possible sometimes. But after this success of the Apollo program, there were decades of haya with a space Huttel and I explained in my book why. But the next thing is I look in the future, and I want to talk also about this because this is very important. Why is that that today there were no people on Mars. Why is that that there are is no asteroid mining today? Why is that that it is fifty five years ago that people were last time on the Moon? And I think because there's not the incentive.

And I have an idea in my book. Because it costs a lot of money, of course, and you can't pay it all with taxpayers money. This is not possible. Maybe to bring a few astronauts to the mass, yes, but not the plans from ill Mask, like settling one million people there or building a city on the Moon. It's not possible with taxpayers money. It has to be fine as private and I have an idea private property should be allowed in space because today we have a big problem. Most people don't know. There's this Outer Space Treaty from nineteen sixty seven, and according to Article two of this Outer Space Treaty, it's prohibited for countries to claim ownership over celestial bodies or land un celestial bodies.

1:13:23 So first I have no problem when it's prohibited for countries. Maybe even I like it, but hous it with private people, houses, the private companies. I think it should be allowed. To give you an example for example. Well because of it, if it's allowed, it grows. Yes, exactly, And it was imagined in the history of America. It wouldn't be allowed to be owner of land. Who would go to America? No one nor This was the reason, the motive and this were the settlers, and in this quarters they took ownership of land. Later it was legalized by the homestead And I think it will happen in the same way in space because if there is no economic motive and no economic incentive, it costs a lot of money and you have to get it back. And my idea is, for example, if SpaceX would be able to go to Mars as an example, and they start to develop something there, they should claim ownership, not of the whole planet, but a manageable area, maybe the size of Singapore, because the mass surface is two hundred thousand times larger than Singapore, so it's enough place for others.

1:14:36 They should claim ownership and then bring it to the stock market. This is my idea as a really state investment trust so that everyone can be a shareholder, you, me and everyone. And this is a realistic idea how to finance it. I think it's a great idea. What now, what do you think about the interference of China, because you know, just as you mentioned, we had a space race with Russia in the sixties and seventies and now here we are with this now happening, and what Elon Musk has been able to do, and China is licking their chops and they want to plan a flag and claim territorial ownership. Absolutely, this is my warning. Don't underestimate China. They have programs to go there next to the Moon. They want to go there before twenty thirty, but then they want to go to Mars. And they are smart, even in spite of the fact that it's more or less government led in their economy. They have a lot of private companies today and especially in space. Ten years ago, Chichiping, they saw the success of SpaceX and the companies in the United States, and then they allowed to found private companies in China. Today we have four hundred and fifty private space companies in China. But I think if they would be the first on planets, it would have exactly what you predicted. They would claim ownership of the whole planet.

1:16:06 Maybe as for People's Republic of China, of course it's not allowed according to the Outer Space Treaty, but you can cancel it. With one here, notice, maybe they will cancel it. And so it's very important to be the first there, and also to make clear that the company who's first there that they claim can claim ownership. The same with asteroids. Why is there no asteroid mining today in spite of the tact that there are so many resources, platinum especially, it's only a single asteroid has Sometimes the platinum is more valuable than the whole cross product of the whole world. Of course only in theory, because if you bring it to the Earth, the prices would plump.

1:16:53 But why is no one there? Because would you invest there and take the risk if in the end it's not clear or it's not allowed that you claim ownership of the asteroid. So my ideas bring this asteroid to the stock market as a real state investment trust and in this moment that a space race would start between companies who's first to take this valuable asteroid? And I want to start a discussion, and I'm very happy that new Linkridge wrote the preface and even the best space the best expert for space economy. Because Elon Musk is an entrepreneur, he understands He's a big picture kind of guy. You're a big picture kind of guy, and it would be a lot of fun to see the possibilities. I mean, even talking about you know, asteroids. I mean, you're the first person that I'm aware of, at least on this show that's talked about the gold that is in them there hills asteroids. Right, Yes, there's a lot of platinum, so much platinum.

It's not there are a lot of challenges to go there, a lot of problems to go through mass, to go through the asteroids, but there are more, not technical, but economic. I learned it when I had a conversation with Harry Jones from Naser Aims Center. I admire him. He is four years old and he works since sixty years for Naser, so he has all this knowledge. I had a conversation with him about politics. He things much different than I do. But he has much more knowledge, of course about all the space things. And he sent me a paper and he said, there are no showstoppers on our way to Mars.

1:20:37 There are seven challenges, but we can solve them all today. We can solve them. And so what I say, the problem? Why are we not there? It's not technical, it's economic because you need an incentive. Who does everything without an incentive, who invests millions and millions or even billions without getting and you return, No one would do it only as nhappy. This is too expensive to do it as unhappy, so there should be a business model. And this was what you know. Vanna von Brown, who came from Germany, was the mastermind behind the Apollo program. After the moon landing, they asked him what will be the next and he said something very interesting. He said, now we should find a way to make it profitable. But this is this is what he said. But it didn't happen. And this is a problem. It didn't happen all the Space Shuttle program.

1:21:34 I have it all in my book. This was a total failure. And of course there are also private companies that fail, most of them. It's always a business. This is the tracing with capitalism that that private companies can fail, then they can get get bankrupt, but some of them will survive. It's the survivor of the fittest. But with the government, if you have only one laser and if they make a bad job, so there no alternative. But if you have a few hundreds of private companies, some will succeed, only a few and the other one they failed. And this is the great and so I repeat it. If you are not interested, people who listen to us, buy this book for your children, because they will be fascinated by space as I was when I was young, and then when they were fascinated by space, they I hope they will be also fascinated by capitalists. And we need more young people who are fascinated by capitalism and not by socialism. And this is the great problem today in my country, in Germany, also in your country, that there are too many young people who believe in socialism.

I'm back in the East coast, you know, from the Hawaii vacation and all a great time with the daughter unit and the grand kids, you know, so they're growing so fast, as you know, these little munchkins. But it was good fun and it's good to be back home. I'm getting on the other side of all the jet lag and my body adjusting to the time zone difference, you know, six hour time difference. We'll wear on you a little bit. But anyway, I want to talk to you about, you know, communicating. You know, some nice people say, is there a communication problem? And sometimes I wonder is it more of a listening problem than a communication problem?

1:27:51 What do you say, Oh, if you go back to the Bible, it says that we should be quick to listen and slow to speak, And a lot of that really is indicative of the fact that most of us get lost in ourselves on our own thoughts, and then we crowd out the space for other people to communicate fully. That's one of my challenges. My brain's moving real fast, and it's like a popcorn machine of ideas, and I jump in and interrupt too soon, or I don't even wait for full pause. I'm saying to Stacy the other day, I need to let people wait for at least a second before I jump in and talk. And she said, Jeff, you don't even wait at all. As soon as you get an idea, you start talking. And I'm getting better at that because I've been thinking and learning about the best way to be safe in a relationship is to listen and not jump quickly in with your idea, your analysis, your suggestion, or your criticism or correct which we do as parents way too often, but also in marriage because we take each other for granted and we think I can get away with anything, and she needs to hear this from me because I'm the only one anyway. So I think listening is the starting point, because if you don't listen well and they don't feel like you're trustworthy and say, they won't unpack the real story, and then you won't know exactly where to touch their heart.

Well, maybe sometimes what happens, Jeff, is that they've unpacked the story, but your brain was occupied with the response, so it cut off the channel to where you could hear what the totality of the issue was, and you grabbed onto a little bit of a morsel. I say you, I've done this. I'm guilty of doing the same thing and analyzing this and of course doing what I do in doing interviews. It behooves me to listen to the whole story, you know, to really hone in on what it is the guest is communicating, right.

1:29:56 Yeah, especially if it's something pretty emotional, like a child of yours is processing something sad at school they didn't get picked for a team, or they fell and hurt their knee. As parents, sometimes we just quickly jump into it'll be okay, you know, you'll get over this, you'll make the team next year, and we get into our mentor encouragement mode before even meeting them in their emotion, which is what they first of all need to kind of help validate their feelings, let them know that they're understood, let them process it. Then whether it's today, later on or tomorrow or the next day, you can get into some mentoring and coaching and encouragement. And I think that's indicative of being very securely attached to someone when when you give them validation of the list of what they said and what they felt before you jump into coaching, advice, mentor sharing, encouragement, even critique or correction. There's one of the things I talk about and friendship, but it really makes sense in marriage. Make sure that this relationship is a no fix it zone. In other words, it's not a judgment zone or I'm going to fix it zone.

1:31:11 So you want them to feel like you're not going to judge them. They can get it out and you're not going to quickly jump to fixing it with your advice. To fix it is. Their you know, responsibility, And if they ask for your advice and you want to say, can I give you my thoughts and they give you permission, then great. But many times we jump into fix it mode and that doesn't make us as safe and easy to communicate with and have as good a friendship or marriage as we'd like to have. Yeah, well, and guys were wired to fix it and that's part of the challenge and it's a bit counterintuitive, and so it's wisdom that you're sharing with us today, Jeff, is that we need to evaluate that because what happens is when we interfere, we're frustrating. I know I did this with my youngest son, and this has been a process because I wondered, I said, God, why did you why did you torment me with with this son of mine, he's the youngest. And what it is is that he wants to be able to share the issue with me.

1:32:15 He doesn't want me to fix it. He wants to be the one to fix it. He he you know, he wants the responsibility. But here I'm dad and I'm trying to protect him and I'm interfering with his maturity and it frustrates him and I But it's taken me a while to see this, Jeff, that I was interfering in so and it's hard sometimes, if not all the time, to listen to him because he'll he'll go and he's processing this and you know, and I just want to grab and you know, and fix it for him, or you know, start talking about solutions. He's not ready for solutions. He's still venting.

1:32:56 Yeah, I have my youngest son. I asked him the question, and he's a grown man now maybe thirty three or so years old, and I said, hey, uh, Kegan, how can I love you better as a dad? And he said, well, you have finally started learning this because I've told it to you before. But you're doing it Dad. You're listening more than talking. And I used to talk to mom because you wouldn't listen as much. You'd start giving me advice. But now you're listening more, and so I'm talking to you more. And that's exactly what you're saying. And different people want to talk and they process slowly. We got to be patient with them, right, So gosh, I think be quick to listen and patient to listen and slower to speak. Enter someone's emotional situation and validate their experience before we jump into here's what happened with me. Here's my idea. Have you ever thought about this? Can I suggest this? This is so important in parenting, in marriage right where you take too many liberties and you tell each other your opinion of each other to fix things.

1:34:05 And I emphasize this in friendship. A man is only going to have one or two really really close friends. But if you're not a safe friend and he thinks you're always trying to fix him or jump in with advice too quickly. He's not going to open up and tell you about a real. Challenge, right exactly. But and I like what you did there, Jeff, is you ask permission before you give your advice before you enter in, you know, because that's what keeps a safe space, right, And that's what you're talking about, is that you want to protect that space in such a way to where somebody feels comfortable that you know, you can share. You know, like the Bible says that, you know, we should confess our sins one to another. But in confessing it just means let's talk real reality. You know, let's get real man, fact right. And if I can get real with you, then you know, what do we do?

1:34:58 You know, we pray for one in other that we would be healed, that that burden would be lifted off of us. And it's it's God's work that does it. And we're co laboring with God to that end. We're not otherwise we're going to be like Job's buddies, right, who came and had all the answers for him, and then what happened at the end, God said, you know, no way to stop your approach, right, Yeah, so. Well it really it really makes sense to be that safe listening friend. That's our goal. Well, Jeff, you know this is all part of the I might say, the curriculum of what you've been doing in your ministry, and maybe we got about a minute and a half left, maybe expand on that and encourage people to get involved. Yeah.

How you doing, Emily, Good to see you, Good to be back, Thanks for having me, well, good to have you here. And talk about gender affirming care. Now, how should Christians respond here? Will we shouldn't affirm That's the first thing. And the second thing is that gender anything that sex affirming care? That we should be affirming sex. So to affirm sex. You affirm male or female the way that God created you. Right, Well, the challenge is is are we holding to a biblical worldview or not? And for some reason, people of faith and Christians have gotten a little loose on this in thinking, you know, I'm going to you know, get along, to go along here, And what they do in the process is they have abandoned their foundational faith issues.

Yeah, I think it's difficult for Christians because we've been told that affirming is the way to be nice, and is the way to be kind, and is also the way to affirm form relationships with people right that are struggling with sexual identity confusion. And what I really want to emphasize is that someone that is transgender identified is really in distress, and so to affirm that is only going to further put them in distress. Right, they are in They're under attack from.

And what I've reported on and what the Daily Citizen is reporting on, is that the medical interventions that they're doing are irreversible and tragic, and they don't have often the knowledge to consent to them. So there's no reason that Christians should be affirming them. Well, when you consider other countries, for example, I mean the world itself. I mean, we always to often talk about America being this grand laboratory of fifty states, but you know, there's been a lot of global influence. Let's take a look at what's happening around the world with other countries that have ventured into this arena. I'm not hearing a lot of positive I mean, in fact, I'm not hearing any positive empirical data that would come in and say, well, maybe we just need to study this further.

1:44:20 I think we've studied it enough to the damage of people that are not going to be able to recapture life and have any kind of normalcy. There are going to be attached to chemicals and prescriptions for the rest of their lives because of you know what has happened here, this experimentation on people's humanity. Yeah. So the reason that the Health and Human Services in America actually last year did this four hundred page report on how damaging these sex rejecting procedures can be is because in Europe they did the cast report, which was in Britain, which was looking at the UK's sort of all of their national health service and all of the interventions they'd done. They were way ahead of us on this issue. And that report was that the evidence base was so weak for this issue, and we had done we had given puberty blockers, sex rejecting surgeries and wrong sex hormones to children with no evidence. And so HHS wanted to expand on those findings and see.

1:45:42 If we could confirm them, and we did so. Actually Europe more than just the cast report, right, so in Denmark and Finland and Sweden, all of those places are rejecting now what they started. They're saying they're. Actually backing away and saying we didn't have the evidence to do this. And here you think in America that we would put our kids in danger. I mean, this is this is incredible Emily to me when you think about how our children have been under attack, whether it's education, whether it's healthcare, whether you know this specific issue. But then you know Christians, people who are standing in the gap and shouting from the rooftops you are heading for a cement wall. I mean, to me, that's the true expression of our faith and the love for our fellow men, as opposed to allowing them to continue to do this. Kind of irreparable damage to their own humanity, certainly, and I.

1:46:43 Think that there's a balance there for sure. We never want to forget that experiencing confusion about your sexual identity is deeply debilitating in something. That we never want to forget is. Is really horrifying, and it's something that Satan wants, right like that male and female is something fundamental in God's design and there's a reason that Satan is attacking it. So we want to have compassion for people that are experiencing it and for people that have been taken in by the fad. But we also certainly do not want to say follow that right, No, that's the attack. We want to say, No, you are made perfectly and wonderfully.

So I think Christians really need to understand how fundamental biological sex is to God's design. And I think once you understand that and you have your theology correct on that, it becomes very difficult to affirm anything that's going on in this issue. Well, I think the challenge we have in today's culture is that you know, people want to look at it through a lens of you know, it's kind of gray. Well, it's not so black and white. No, God is very specific.

Here his crown and glory for a moment, and you look at it. And what did God say after the final day of creation? Right, But yet, as you said, we can call it what it is, the devil, evil spiritual forces that are against God, that are telling young people and telling parents that it's not good. And so it goes back to what last time you and I talked about this. You know, one of the things that keeps coming over and over in my conversation is who told you that?

And so if you pause for a moment and ask that question, you know, who told me that, then maybe you can begin to decipher, you know, the voices that you're listening to and what kind of trajectory they're putting you on. I think there's some ideological capture at the highest level in the education system and in the medical system. So most recently I reported on the Federal Trade Commission who is suing the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, which is an advocacy association for all of the people that make money from sex rejecting procedures, but it masquerades as a medical association like the American Heart Association.

1:50:07 So the allegation is that it. Basically misled parents into believing that their kids would commit suicide if they didn't get sex rejecting procedures, and it did that to make money. So it and not just parents, right, it did this to kids. And it also it made misleading statements about the amount of evidence behind the sex rejecting procedures so that insurance companies would pay for them because that's how they make their money. Right. Yeah, it's all about greed, there's no doubt about it.

1:50:49 And the thing is is that I keep asking the question, how many children have committed suicide prior to you know, just as a result of sex confusion versus children who were you know, went through these incredible processes, horrific medical procedures and everything. And we're hearing more of them committing suicide than children you know, prior to because here they are, their brains are impacted by all this drugs, all the drugs and chemicals and everything that's involved, and they're hoping upon hope that you know, they've revd themselves into this, you know, this confused state, that they become desperate. Well, if they become desperate and then there's no solution, what is the solution then.

The US contract law says that kids under eighteen cannot sign contracts, So we shouldn't even be allowing children anywhere near You cannot allow a chriald to sign a contract to amputate healthy body parts. Right, that shouldn't have even been part of the conversation. I don't know how. It still baffles. It's baffling to me. Well, it's just again what we started out with. It just demonstrate how pervasive evil has come into our culture now, how it is today.

Are pushing this on their kids, and that is a whole new sort of form of evil. But there are also parents who we are worried for their kids, who go to the doctor looking for direction and the doctor says, the only way to save your kids, would you rather have a dead son or a living daughter? And they take that advice at face value because it's a doctor, and. Now a lot of them. You know that FTC had a whole month long comment period where parents like that could tell them their experience, and they got testimony after testimony of parents saying that's what I was told at the doctor's office, and I didn't feel like I had a choice.

1:53:16 So what is the action for Christians to stand in the gap against this evil? First and foremost, get your theology right on male and female right. And that doesn't just mean knowing Genesis. It means understanding that God's creation is founded on male and female. So male and female together is the image of God. When male was alone, it wasn't perfect. It was male and female together. And then together we have the creative capacity to create more people, which is something that no other.

1:54:02 You know, that's we're invited. Into God's creative capacity, right, so, and that's how we fulfill his first commandment. So there's something very special about male and female. So the fact that Satan is attacking male and female, what is male, what is female is very important and we need to understand why that attack is significant. The second thing you need to do is that as soon as your child can comprehend words, tell them that you are female, you are male, and that is good. Emphasize to them that is a good thing. And tell them too, it doesn't matter if they like pink, it doesn't matter. If they like blue, it doesn't matter.

It is how God created them and no one can change that doesn't matter what anyone tells them. And it's important that you tell them that before they go to school, especially if they go to public school. And you have to maintain some vigilance and understand what's happening because as we're seeing again, our government is exposing the kind of indoctrination and propaganda and the lives, flat out lives that are happening in our educational system. We send our kids off thinking, hey, we're they're gonna learn reading, writing, arithmetic, and all of a sudden, you know, we realize all this other scepterrifuge and the empowerment of the state over the empowerment of parents is taking place. So, you know, in terms of the consent of the government, it really bodes us. It's a warning for us to get involved and understand what's happening. And I think that's one of the things the great takeaways of COVID, right because we found out when education was exposed what was going on.
