But before we do, Jonathan, if it's okay, some bittersweet news coming out of Israel, and that is the Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the recovery and identification of the remains of Master Sergeant Ran Gavilli. I hope I'm saying that correctly. He's the final Israeli hostages hostage that was held in Gaza, right.

0:55 Yes, it's a moment of closure to some extent after more than two years this October seventh, twenty twenty three, which was the worst mass sloader since the Holocaust and over. You know, it was an orgy of mass murder, rape, torture, kidnapping, and the fate of originally more than two hundred hostages that were taken by Hamas and the Palestinian terrorists. You know, they've all now been accounted for. The bodies as well as the living hostages have been returned home. So that is a moment. This is a moment when you know, sort of to remember, you know, sadly, the fate of more than twelve hundred, you know, people were killed on that awful day, this terrible act of terrorism aimed, which was really you know, a trailer for what Hamas and the Palestinians want to do to the rest of Israel.

1:56 That they were the rest of Israel, and it might say the world indeed exactly their enemy is the West. Israel's their first target, but they're after the rest. Of us as well. And it's a reminder not only that, you know, the war isn't caught, but you know that as much as this chapter of this war against terrorism against Islamist terror is concluded, but the war isn't over. The Hamas terrorists are still in control of forty seven percent of Gaza. President Trump has promised that they will be disarmed, as they promised to do in the ceasefire deal that was concluded last October, and it's now up to the West, to the President to keep his word, to make sure that these awful murderers are not allowed to rebuild as they've been doing since since October, and to resume their war against Israel in the West. And we hope that now that this last hostage, these last remains have been returned, so that his family can give him a proper burial, that the job will be finished.

3:13 United States and Israel have a joint obligation to ensure that these fiends aren't allowed to win this war, aren't allowed to get away with it. And you can only hope that that in the coming months we'll see that happen. Well, I think at least I would think that the last hostage coming home really reduces the leverage that Hamas has had on Israel and the United States in terms of you know, they reluctantly were giving up the host because they know that that was their protection. And now with the last hostage coming home and you're saying forty six percent, I've heard numbers as high as seventy percent in terms of AMAS still controlling whatever it is.

It, right, exactly but regardless, it's it's still a heavy load that still needs to be addressed here, whether you know it's the IDF for you know, in combination with the United States, because you've already got Jared Kushner and others already starting to lay out a plan for Gaza, which Donald Trump had had cast several months ago. Right. Yeah, let's let's be very clear. I think initially, and I was I thought this as well, that the hostages were amasa's sole leverage in this struggle. I don't think that's really true. I think their leverage right now is war weariness inside Israel. I mean two years of war were you know, hundreds of thousands. It's a small country, you know, less than ten million people. You had hundreds of thousands of men called up to serve that. That's a that's a huge chunk of the econ to me, so many people whose lives were disrupted. I can tell you from being there several times. These are people. This is like the generation of World War two in the United States. They know they were ready to go back because they were fighting for their homes and their families.

5:16 They knew what it was about. There was really no doubt but his israelis a weary of the war. And President Trump, you know, he likes the idea and he deserves the title of peacemaker. He's made great deals, but I don't think he really you know, he's reluctant to start the war again because that will undermine, you know, his hopes of you know, being the peacemaker. And you know Jared Kushner's talk about rebuilding Gaza. Let me tell you, I mean, that's very well intentioned, and it sounds great and if it came true, it would be marvelous. But until Hamas is disarmed and thrown out of power, it's all a fantasy. Yeah, And that's good because you know that you've been there, and you know, and then you've got optives on the ground there as well. And that's my question. Was the sentiment there amongst the Palestinians. How ideologically fixed do they remain after all this that has taken place? Or is it as you say that they are so committed to defending what they believe is their homeland.

6:18 Well, listen, and the Israeli people are not going to give up, you know, doesn't matter how many people around the world engage in anti Semitism and delegitimizing Israel. The Israelis aren't giving up the Palestinians. Sadly, they have been sustained in their fantasies of destroying Israel by comments from around the world and all the demonstrations and the people chanting on college campuses here in the United States. They need to be disabused of this fantasy, and unfortunately they're still holding on to it. I'm sure many Palestinians, if you gave them the option, they'd love to get out of Gaza. They love to be free of the rule of Hamas. But quite frankly, what Hamas is popular among Palestinians, and until they are completely defeated, quite frankly, the way the Nazis were completely defeated at the end of World War Two, we're not going to get the sea change in Palestinian political culture that will enable there to be peace and to have development and all the good things that Jared Kushner wants to do in finance. Until that happens, it's not going to happen right now.

7:25 You're exactly right. Let's talk about the the element of Iran, what's happening there and how is Hamas being funded with you know, the pressure that's on Iran and the lack of funds. I mean, they're having a hard time paying for the the IRGC right now. Yeah, Listen, the more pressure we can put on Iran, the harder it is for its terrorist auxiliaries and allies, whether it's Hesbal and Lebanon or Hamas and Gaza. That is a key pressure point. Hamas, you know, they launched that war, but they were you know, funded, They were fomented by Iran, which created this multi front war against Israel.

8:10 It wound up blowing up in their faces. They are the big losers from the post October seventh war. Hamas is weaker than it ever was. Hezbola is a shadow of itself. It's still there in Lebanon. It can still cause trouble. But they were defeated decisively by the Israelis, and as a result of that, Iran lost its ally in Syria, the brutal Assad regime, which has been replaced by you know, this jihadist you know, Jolani regime. We don't know where they're going to go. I know, the Trump administration has high hopes that they're going to join the West and all that. I think that's that's a little bit, that's more like wishful bid you know, that more wishing upon a star than than hard headed politics.

8:55 But you know, the regime in Iran is under pressure. You know, so many people have taken to the streets there to protest. Thousands of tens of thousands have been murdered. You know, the campuses that supposedly care about human rights, nobody cares about that. So we're going to see whether the United States can play a role in overturning that regime. I know there are people with an administration who want to make a deal which kind of sounds like Obama foreign policy, you know, recycled. I hope that. I hope that side doesn't prevail. But as long as the Iranian regime is in place, you know there's going They're going to be fermenting terrorism. They are the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world. There, they have so much American blood on their hands. America, you know, we certainly don't want to get involved in a war, you know, a land war in Iran. I don't think President Trump is any intention of doing anything like that. But we can use our air power just as Israel use its air power to knock out their air defenses and with American help destroy their largely destroy their nuclear program. I think there's a role to be played for the United States and helping the Iranian people overturn that government. We're going to see how that plays out, and it's you know, that's another decision that President Trump will have to make exactly.

And you watch these people on the stream, like you said, thousands upon thousands more than the media is captured. I mean I think the highest number they got to three thousand. But when I talk to people they're on the ground, they're saying the same thing you are. It's innumerable thousands of people that have been have been murdered there. But this is their back is up against the wall. They want liberty, and they see themselves as becoming a democratic republic, non nuclear, and to be a peaceful, a peaceful element there in the Middle East. I mean, if they are to go that way, I have to believe it's going to have incredible peaceful ramifications for the Middle East and these other Arab nations. What do you think or is that too optimistic?

When this regime falls, and if it is replaced by a decent regime and not some military dictator or not some other version of islamis lunatics, that's a game changer for the home in the least and for American security around the world. I mean, it's you know, they're a major prop of the Chinese and Russian you know, alliance against the United States, never mind Israel. So that would be a great thing. Now, how that's going to happen, you know that, that's a different question. The Iranian people have to maintain the pressure on the regime. They can't let up. Unfortunately, that's costing thousands and thousands of lives. The United States has to join that. United States can't give a lifeline to the regime, as Obama did.

People are seeing and hearing this on this day of commemoration. Talk about that, Jonathan. I think the most important thing that we can understand about Holocaust Remembrance Day is that there is you know, Americans probably know more about the Holocaust than they did in the past because there's been a lot of Holocaust education, but yet most of what it seems, you know, that many Americans have learned, isn't you know that not only do they not really understand the history or the context, it's become kind of a metaphor for anything bad. Just this past weekend, we heard Governor Tim Walson Minnesota compare illegal immigrants, including criminals hiding from you know, law enforcement enforcing America's immigration laws, not Nazis. To Anne frank you know, the Holocaust virus a child. I mean, it just it's a you know, those kinds of inappropriate analogies. You know, there's so many of them, it's hard to even single out one. I mean, he's not the first to do.

20:56 That doesn't make it any you know, it's still wrong. You know, it's sort of we treat the Holocaust as just a metaphor for anything bad. You know, it's anybody I don't like is Hitler routine, you know. Rule of American politics. And we have Holocaust deniers on the right who are frankly promoted by people who ought to know better, major figures, And on the left we have people who claim to be educated, claim to care about you know, the history and the Holocaust. Who float the who misappropriate not only you know, the memory of the Holocaust, who falsely, you know, try to use the word genocide, which was coined to describe what happened in the Holocaust, to libel Israel. You know, the Jewish people have not recovered demographically from the Holocaust.

21:47 That's an important fact. They're only in nineteen thirty nine there were eighteen million Jews in the world. Today there are maybe fifteen million Jews. And this, this is what you know, this is eighty five years later, eighty six, eighty seven years later, we still haven't recovered. Half of those Jews live in Israel. So if you are falsely accusing Israel of genocide when it is nothing in case, and quite frankly, if what Israel has done in Gossage is a genocide, then what the Allies did to Germany and Japan was genocide, then no war. Then every war that's ever been fought has been a genocide. If you're doing that, you're basically ticking picking up and you're you're giving Hitler a posthumous victory because you're helping. You know, we don't need people who mourn dead Jews you know, famous Dara Horn, and the author wrote a great book about you know, people love dead Jews, they just don't seem to like live ones. And honestly, I'm sick and tired of hearing and you know, seeing people on the left, the Zorn Mamdani's and others who cry crocodile tears about the Holocaust but yet aid and about the war to create a new genocide against the Jews today. We don't want any of that. Keep you know, if that's what you're going to say, then shut up. We don't need your We don't need your commemorations. We don't need your honoring the memory of the six million. You're dishonoring the memory of the six million when you use inappropriate analogies and when you make blood libels against Jews living today using the language of the Holocaust.

January the twenty seventh, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz Berkanal by Soviet troops in nineteen forty five. The day was designated in two thousand and five. In fact, it's kind of surprising to think back, Jonathan that it took up to two thousand and five for the United Nations General Assembly to make this resolution, but it is here, and I like you, you know, we constantly need to be reminded, because even the Bible tells us three over three hundred and sixty five times, interestingly, you know, for each day of the year to remember and not forget. And I think this is one of those observations that we should remember. In fact, I would love to see something on national television that wrote just cycles. I mean, we hear at Christmas time we always see a day in a life in some of these Christmas movies. How about if we just had a day where we just cycled just the footage alone of when the troops went into these camps. And Eisenhower said, I want this documented, and he documented it with footage. Even the Germans told the German people, you need to go and see what happened in our country. And you see them walking in Jonathan, I see this so remarkably in my mind to this day, where these people were going in like a Sunday walk in the park, and when they came out, they were all slouched over. They were obviously depressed and affected by what they saw inside those concentration camps.

24:50 Yes, well, the evidence of what happened is clear. I mean, it couldn't be more document than Nazis themselves. I mean the Germans were great, you know, they were great bureaucrats, all accounted for, and yet today people deny it. And why do they deny it Because they're engaged in the same sort of big lies that the Nazis were engaged. And it's about demonization of the Jews, you know, anti Semitism, which you know too, millennia of anti semitism caused the Holocaust. It wasn't just one you know, it didn't just happen, you know, out of without context. It's not garden variety hate. It is something that is used as a tactic for political power, whether it's used by people on the right or the left. And we're seeing how the left in this country tries to use that and weaponizes it. I mean, it's legitimized anti Semitism and granted a permission slip because of their woke ideas for their hatred for Israel. We have to remember that, you know, this is the same pattern.

25:51 This is what we're doing here, and you know, don't universalize it, don't take it out of context. Understand what's going on when we remember, you know, the six million, and remember this awful crime. If you do that, you understand that the real legacy, you know, we honor the Holocaust by making sure that what the survivors created, largely in the state of Israel, stands, and that Hitler isn't granted any more posthumous victories. You know, Jonathan, you talk about the hatred of Israel, and it reminds me of the prophet when the children of Israel were crying out for a king, they wanted a human king, and Samuel took it personal, says, you know, while they're against me, he says, no, they're not against you, they're against me. This anti Semitism isn't about the hate of Israel. It's the hate of God. They hate God.

26:48 That's the bottom line here. It's a hate of justice. It's you know, it's Jews are escapegoats people. You know, throughout history people have hated Jews because they thought they were rich and because they thought they were poor, because they did assimilate, because they did assimilate. It's never about what the Jews do. You know, It's not just as it's not about what Israel does and doesn't do. Antisemitism is about the anti Semites and their their their psychosis, which as you rightly say, is linked to their revolt against you know what, you know what Judaism brought into the world, which was ethical monotheism, and we have to we have to stand firm against it. And we can't allow this virus. And it really is a virus because it attaches itself to every ideology, and scholar Ruth Weiss famously said it was the most successful ideology of the twentieth century because it attached itself to every other ideology, whether it was fascism, Nazism, communism, Islamism, and today in the twenty first century to wokeism, right, it attaches it to all of them. We have to stand firm against it.

It's great to talk to you. Thanks for having me on. But I'll tell you the craziness in Minnesota continues. You know, John I flashed back in oh seven. I don't know if you saw this video or not, but Chris Rock did a common sense video that was to help young blacks on how they deal with the cops. Just you know, common sense. The title of it. I'm not going to give you the exact title because our audience could be a little sensitive because the language is Chris Rock, how not to get your I'm gonna say, butt kicked by the police. Did you ever see that video? I think I have. Yeah. I mean it's the same advice that I'd given my kids. You know, you go and you don't interfere with them, and if they give you an order, you follow the order. If you think the order is wrong, then you go to court and you know, you explain your side at the court. But look, I think things like the shooting that occurred on Saturday, it's the responsibility of local law enforcement and local politicians.

32:52 I mean the fact that you know, Texas is picking up something like ten times more criminal illegal aliens than Minnesota is, and you know, you're not seeing any of these problems. Obviously, you have very democratic areas like Austin and other places in Texas. But you know, the differences is that they know if they interfere with the law enforcement there, they're going to get picked up, and that the regular local police are going to stop them. Instead, you have situations like a hotel where Ice officials are staying in Minneapolis, which is being completely trashed exactly demonstrators and the police are nowhere to be found. They're told not to interfere with the stuff that's there.

33:43 So what is it with these people? John? They just like to burn things and destroy property. I mean, we went through this last time, and I'm fed up with it. I mean, frankly, I mean what four billion dollars worth of damage that they ignited over the George Floyd riot. You talk about a narrative and all that they pay the family twenty seven million dollars, they do a trial on the officer, which I was upset, you know with Sean Hannity. Yes, he's holding the guy down who resisted arrest and you know, caused all kinds of problems, and he helped create a scene that could have been quite volatile and dangerous. And sadly, George Floyd dies and the city goes a muck and it's spread through you know, throughout the upper part of our country, and you know, from Seattle all the way I think to Baltimore, and

And you get a guy, I mean, we don't know the whole story about this shooting on Saturday, but you get a guy who is a nurse at the VA. But again, I think it's a large responsibility of local law enforcement there, whether it be the police or whether it be the National Guard, to maintain order. But you know, the other bizarre thing here is that all the Democrats, from congress members to attorney generals in different states, to national policy Titians are all singing, Democrats are all singing from the same playbook where they're talking about ice, you know, creating more violence, making places less safe. Does that may look at what's happening to crime nationally. Nationally, it looks like this last year we had the biggest percentage drop in murder rates ever recorded.

My guess is when the numbers come out in September, we're going to see that violent crime across the board fell You know, just look at the contrast that happened with the Biden administration. You know, we never had such a large percentage increase over any four year period of time. We have this massive inflow of illegals that were occurring at that time, and now we have this huge drop that's occurring. And I don't think it's an accident.

You keep your head down and you don't commit as many crimes as you normally would. You don't practically commit violent crimes. See, I think in some sense, John, these knuckleheads that have said, oh, we're going to be a sanctuary state or a sanctuary city. Okay, well, thank you very much. Now we know where all the criminals are at all right, So all we have to do is really deal with this, this whole situation. Any predicate that talks about a sanctuary city or legalizes the harboring of criminals, I don't see how this is constitutional, declaring yourself a sanctuary city to harbor criminals, do you no?

And Texas they've apparently detained more than ten times as many illegal aliens as they have in Minnesota, but you don't see the conflicts there, you don't see the riots. Why Well, it's because I mean again, it's not like you don't have liberal areas like Austin or other places that are.

That should have been providing some information to her about the intent that ICE had, and then the father wanted to retain custody of the child, and so they took the child in with the father. So, you know, it's just crazy, and you know, it's not unlike some other situations. There's been several children who have been deported who were born in the United States, but it's not that ICE went out of its way to detain those individuals. What happened was I went to the parents who had criminal records and they said, we're going to deport you. Now, if you have a relative or somebody else in the United States who can take the child, fine, but it's your choice whether you want to have the child stay in the United States or return with you to your home country.

49:09 And they chose to have the child return with them to their home country. That's their choice, exactly. John. The thing is is that you had seventy seven million Americans voters vote that and they asked Trump clean this up, clean this illegal immigration up. And he is doing what the mandate had indicated. And I would say to those voters, you need to speak up, you need to rally around Donald Trump and those of us that voted with you and understand that if we're going to get America back on track, we have got to follow law in order. This is the problem we're seeing in Minneapolis and in these other cities Seattle, Portland and that sort of thing is law and disorder. They have no I don't know, I don't wan say comprehension.

John in some cases, I mean, they've turned these cities into blights, They've lost jobs, they've lost revenue for the state and the cities to operate on because of their own ideology, and they cannot seem to get it. And I'll tell you, I think the federal government has to quit being a codependent with this kind of idiocy and say, you know, like Trump is doing, Hey, if you're not going to play by the rules, then we're not going to send you federal funds. Right right. Well, you know the thing is you have to ask why do they want to keep violent criminals in their communities. New York State last year during the Trump administration, had released seven thousand, almost seven thousand people who had were serving time in jails and prisons in New York State who have been convicted of crimes to over two hundred of them had been convicted of murder, many hundreds that had been convicted of rape. ICE wanted those individuals turned over to ICE when they were released from jails and prisons, but New York State refused to go and notify them when they were releasing those individuals, released them in such a way that they couldn't be picked up by ICE. Why do you want to release violent criminals New York State had convicted beyond a reasonable

And the only thing I can think of is basically one, the federal government gives out money based on the number of people that are living there in money that you're talking about, and you know, whether they're US citizens or not, the census counts them the same. And also you have congressional districts. I just saw an estimate recently that at least six of the congressional seats in California they have there because of the illegal aliens counting the same as US citizens. Absolutely that up across all these states, from Minnesota and Illinois and New York and Maryland and Massachusetts and California. You know, God only knows how many. You know, you probably have well over you know, twenty or more.

52:29 Now, that's what they're saying, roughly about twenty seats that would be negated or would be become conservative because of this. Yeah, there's no question that there's political influence. I mean, they're getting their big out of this. John, this is why this continues and is protected. I think part of these people are revved up emotionally. It's a trumped arrangement syndrome. I don't think that they exercise any kind of logic or decorum and even considering what ramification this has on education for their children or anything else, it's just a flat out emotional issue. The other issue, as far as the political element, it's about power and control. As Lindsey Graham said many many years ago, that's what drives them, not serving the greater good of the American people. Sadly, Yeah, no, I agree.

What's making the cities more violent is the local democrats there, whether it's the state or local government, which are not allowing criminals to be picked up, which are encouraging this type of violence, which are telling the police to stand down and not do the job that the police are supposed to do. All those things that is what is making the area violent, not anything that ICE is doing. The officer. The common sense thing, like you say, John, is that you release them to ICE. You don't put them out in the general population because now the onus, because you've already handcuffed local police. That's clearly what's happening in Minnesota.

But he's got a job, and he's being told by the mayor, by the governor, by the attorney general. Hey, buddy, you know you're on your own. You do if you don't follow us, and you better tell everybody to stand down and let this be a federal issue and you cannot cooperate. And even though, like you say, you laid out the empirical evidence without getting in super detail. But I think in the summary of those cities and states that have cooperated with ICE, you don't have this kind of chaos. And guess what they're able to clean things up? What in a matter of a month or two, right? If not less?

I think Trump has shown over and over again, whether it's Washington, d C. You know, it's not rocket science. If you want to reduce crime, you have to make it riskier for criminals to go and commit crime. But look, before the terms this year, I wish it was sooner, but before the midterms, when the final data comes out for twenty twenty five, people are going to see that the country is much much safer, you know, and there are many things that are causing this is just not rounding up the criminal illegal aliens and putting the other criminal illegal aliens on notice that they'll be deported if they get picked up by the police.

Why how how do I have all the time to be out there in the streets. It's you know, it's and and they convince themselves the thing, they convinced them themselves that they're doing something noble, that they'll take time off whatever their responsibilities are, because what they're doing is more noble.

And you know, it's it's really it's each time that there's something like this happens, like what's happening in Minnesota, it does encourage to the other states. You know, contagion isn't just in the immediate proximity. It also spreads to other states with people who you know, say well, I'm angry too, and it must be the fault. I mean, you know, ice agents. This was what this was one of the platforms that Trump ran on to get rid of the illegal immigrants, right, and so you know, and he got the majority, a huge majority of vote.

And you know, do you remember, I'm sure you do remember when right before the election when there was this uh it was it was actually somebody, well it was it was being talked about amongst Democrats that there if Trump won, that there was going to be a kind of insurrection, kind of that there would be a civil war, right, and this is now the civil war. They didn't do it right when he won, you know, right after or after he was inaugurated, but it's here now.

Of course he is. He is supporting literally paying the people to be there, and a lot. Of well you got you got sorrows, and you got the CCP as well. But uh, you know, but that and that is what is going to be happening to America if America doesn't, you know, wake up and and get rid of these people. You know, realize that the that it's how imminent. You know, it's surprising that we haven't had. Well, we have had, but they're not called terror attacks, like the three men who were killed in Florida, claiming that that's a terror attack, but it was. He is a terrorist.

Our crime rate went down dramatically, and America's went up. I mean, can people not connect the dots here?

He's constantly thinking, Okay, what kind of advantages and things that can we do and leverage the assets of America for the good of all concern and good of Americans? Right? And what are we doing? Oh, we're scrolling on our you know, our telephones or whatever, you know. Yeah, exactly I.

And so it was kind of right after Iran threatened him, you know, like we were talking about at the beginning, threatened him with an assassination, then we just had the plane electrical small electrical disturbance or whatever they called it on the plane. You know, it gives you pause. Yes, well, I'll tell you what's your prescription, Carol. You know, for we the people, I mean at large, what is the single most significant step that the governing body of our country, we the people, should take.

It's in shambles because the psychiatrists are not doing therapy anymore. They have there become pill pushers, and you know, somebody comes in to see them and they ask for their symptoms, and they give them a pill and you know, after like half an hour, and they don't give you know, prescribe. They don't do therapy with them to get to the root of the problem. They just need a prescription. And then the person comes back in a month or two months when they give them appointments way down the line.

1:23:57 So the person comes back, Hey, doc, I still have a problem, and that problem gives them another prescription. So people are walking around on three and four and five prescriptions, you know, just like Nick Reiner. Yes, that is the the problem with him. He went to eighteen rehabs and they didn't look at the underlying problem. They just you know, well how many well he did see psychiatrists who gave him prescriptions. Who's on multiple prescriptions? And these rehabs just address the the addiction, which never works. You can't just you know, I mean, AA is fine, but it's not the total answer. You have to go to therapy to get at the root of why you're doing.

1:24:41 This exactly to escape from well you know, you say, you say that people you know, with the pills, the cost of pills now going down. Uh, that raises a flag for me and say is that going to promote more uh you know, more pill uh prescriptions? Sure, I mean, you know, it just makes you have a choice, so simpic now, right or something else. I mean, it's it's kind of you have to address the underlying problems, and part one of the underlying problems is fear. I mean, you know, on one level, Americans aren't aware enough about terrorists to do something about it, like to elect people like Trump and other people in their local area who care about terrorism.

1:25:29 Right. But they so they don't have that on one level. But in another level, they see these things going on in the world and they are fearful, so they don't necessarily connect the two. You know, that goes into their unconscious. So they walk around with anxiety. And what's the cure for anxiety? You know, it's therapy, But if you go to a psychiatrist, they'll tell you it's it's a pill, take a point. And that's another thing that people get addicted to. You know, it's not just it's not just coke or things are legal drugs. It's also these anti anxiety medications that are addicting. Oh, absolutely, I mean the bottom line, whatever we make has to taste good. It has to There's no.

Zach is a focused staff writer and a communications laison, so he's here to layis on our communications. I love that. Hey, Zach, how you doing. Hey Bill, happy to be here. Thanks for having me on. Hey, we got some good stuff to talk about. I always love you know, sometimes before going forward, it's always good to look back, you know, and reval and evaluate and reevaluate. And we had some great successes for conservatives in twenty twenty five in the midst of all the wackiness going on. Right, Yeah, no, that's exactly right. And it's it's a good news story because sometimes when you're when you're in this business, we're constantly filled with bad news, right headlines, you know, with what negative gets clicks. And so I wanted to take a look at a twenty twenty five and say, hey, we actually made a lot of progress in a lot of really important areas in twenty twenty five.

1:45:52 And so that's what I did with my article at the The Daily Citizen dot org. And I'll just highlight highlight the first several of those. The first is at the Supreme Court up held state laws protecting kids from trans interventions, and that was in USB. Scurmeti in June upheld Tennessee's law protecting kids from transgender medical interventions. So that was huge. And there's twenty six states now that have laws on the books protecting kids from these kinds of procedures. So that was the first one. I highlighted the second one also with THEE Well hang. On, hang on a second. Let me add just a quick comment. Okay, so we're halfway there, twenty six states. I mean, you think it was a no brainer that everybody it should be one hundred percent. But we made progress. At least we're twenty six versus five or ten, you know, right, So I think that's that's positive because the other states are going to see, by example, what benefit is being drawn from this experience, because that's part of being in a democratic republic because in a sense, we have fifty fifty laboratories out there that are experimenting with cultural ideas, and so now here we got to twenty six. That to me made a common sense decision. So all right, thank you, got it.

1:46:57 That's perfect, And there's now seventy nine percent. This is according to the New York Times, of all places, seventy nine percent of Americans think that kids should not be allowed to access puberty blocking drugs and opposite sex hormones. And that includes sixty seven percent of Democrat voters, so in the twenty four states or so that haven't yet enacted those laws. You know, when it's such a such a you know, eighty twenty eighty five, fifteen issue, you know, I certainly hope that at some point the common sense will prevail there. But the second again, you see, that's the thing is so important here, And I'm glad you brought this up. Okay, the voters has spoken. It's just like seventy seven million voters voted for Trump and the agenda, okay, and so much of his agenda's eighty twenty and you know, the silent majority is staying silent. And I'm saying, look at this is the government of for by, we the people.

1:47:42 You've got to step up. You've got to let your opinion be noticed. Because what happens is that we were discussing last week with another one of our guests, and he brilliantly commented that, you know, it's kind of like when you know they give you a chance at every marriage ceremony. You know, if anybody here as an objection to speak now or forever, hold your peace right. So, in essence, if you don't say anything, you are giving your tacit agreement to that marriage. You may know something that nobody else knows that would be a problem for that marriage, but you go along because you don't want to upset a wedding or doing all this kind of stuff. And that's just one minor example, and we do that so often in life where we see these things that are eighty twenty common sensical and you know, parents subject, they go to a PTA meeting, they get arrested, and all this other stuff. And so what it does is it backs people off and say, well, maybe you know, I don't want to get arrested. I don't want to cause problems. You don't want to neighbor be upset with me, you know kind of the other their key of my car, And so they wilt and they give by not participating their agreement to these eighty twenty issues. So I'm putting it out there in a sense and I'm glad you brought this up only from a standpoint that I want to encourage our listeners. Look at if we're going to get this country back on track and we're going to live biblical principles, then you have to live it out in its totality. You can just say okay, I'm all right in my prayer closet and not do anything outside of your prayer closet, right, Yeah.

1:49:10 No. And as Christians, we're called to be salt and light, and part of that is exercising our duty and our responsibility as citizens to help help guide this nation forward in a good direction. And I think the first three words of the preamble to the Constitution, right, we the people. We are accountable for this government that we have, and so it's up to us to participate, to vote, to make our voices heard, to get involved, to run for office ourselves potentially if that's something that God is calling us to do. So that's a great point. The second and third one that I that I highlighted in my article are both related to planned parenthood. So the first one, the Supreme Court allowed states to defund planned parenthood. That was also in June, and Medina v. Planned Parenthood upheld South Carolina's plan to prohibit Planned parenthood from receiving Medicaid reimbursements, So that was a great victory and allows other states to do that. And the third one I highlighted is that Congress for the first time history defunded Plan Parenthood of roughly eight hundred and fifty million taxpayer dollars for the first time in history. So that was a great victory for the preborn. And I think it was over fifty planned parenthoods last year closed largely as a result of that. So that was a great thing. And I think and I hope that the Congress will again later this year and another reconciliation bill defund Planned parenthood for at least one more year. I think would be a great step forward.

1:50:23 After that, Well, didn't they agree to fund it here? Recently? They I think they they agreed to fund it and return some of that money. That was all part of the big beautiful bill, and I thought there was a. There's been quite a bit court court rulings back and forth, and Planned parent has been trying to restore that funding. But thankfully, all the lawsuits that I've tracked so far it's upheld the provision of the one big beautiful bill making sure that Planned parenthood can't receive that can't receive that money. So that's a that's a great thing. Yeah. Well, again, the people's voices must be heard, and you'd be surprised. Again, we tell everybody all the time, whether it's an email or a phone call, it doesn't take a whole lot of people because Congress, the congressmen and women and senators, when they get when their switchboard is deluged, they you know, they take those numbers and they they run them out. You know, they may get, say twenty five calls that could have the force of a you know, five hundred constituents or more. And that's the way they see it. So conversely, if they don't hear anything, then they think, hey, everything's hunky dory, and they can go ahead and fund you know, planned parenthood, even though time and again most voters on a federal issue have voted against it. We've said from day one, we don't want our text dollars go into planned parenthood. But these guys keep doing it. And the reason they keep doing it, Zach, is because they're getting part of the big I keep telling everybody. You got understand you have follow the money

1:51:53 and you realize some of that money that goes to planned parenthood, it goes into the back pocket of politicians. That's why they continue to do this. Yeah, no, that's exactly right. Yeah, one percent. And then the back to my article, the fourth and fifth ones that I that I highlighted are both related to illegal immigration. So that was something that we saw huge progress being made. Thankfully, last year, we actually reversed illegal immigration. So there were two point five million illegal immigrants who were removed from the US last year. Since since January, there were six hundred and five thousand that were deported and then another one point nine million that actually left voluntarily. So we had a net reverse migration last year with people who were not in the country legally actually leaving a lot of them you know, criminals and whatnot. And so we saw that and then also illegal border crossings. Border crossings along the southern border reached record lows. There's always a chart that I put in my article that shows that, you know, there was one hundred hundred and fifty thousand illegal immigrants being encountered along the Southern border per month under the Biden administration, and then as soon as President Trump takes office that falls to oh almost zero, it's like seven thousand, and it stays that way for the entire year. And so it was truly a remarkable progress being made that last year, and there was no new laws that were enacted. It was just the will to enforce what laws were already on the books, and so that was a great thing that honestly, it helps protect women and children, especially because so many of them are trafficked and sexually abused on the journey north. So that was a victory not just for American sovereignty, but also

1:53:25 for upholding the rights and protection of women and children as well. Well. Exactly the other thing to understand, remember it's Project who tracks all this stuff, and they've been doing this for years. It states that there has been at least one murder at the hands of an illegal immigrant in our country. And of course we know about the human trafficking that's taken place that they're associated with, you know, the drug you know, the drug infiltration that they're involved with. You know, we've had just spent in all alone anywhere from eighty to one hundred thousand a year diet and we're talking one hundred thousand a year of our prime citizens. These are young people, and so many of them have died thinking mistakingly that they were all getting a title and all.

1:54:15 A well meaning friend said, hey, look at you can take this for pain. And you know, I mean, you hear these stories time and again and it just breaks your heart as you see these parents sharing their grief and reporting the damage of what this has done. So all this has had an impact on our culture. And there's so many other elements. So this is why illegal immigration and what the Trump administration has done, and that seventy seven million people said hey, we got to do something about this. So I say, hey, you're right, and an agreement in voting accordingly, but now you've got to reinforce that vote by letting your representatives know, hey, they need to keep their eye on the ball here. Right.

And an open border is not compassionate for for our country, and it's certainly not compassionate for those who are coming here, who are trafficked and abused by the cartels on the journey north. So that's a huge victory for everyone, and it's why having laws like that that secure southern border makes sense and why it's so important to make sure that those are enforced. And I'll just tick off the last few of my victories of twenty twenty five here. Sixth, is it biological sanity was restored to the federal government. That's something that we saw. This transgender ideology had been infiltrated with the Biden administration, and the President Trump came in and quickly protected girls' sports. He said that it's the official policy of the federal government that there are only males and females. And we saw that just work its way down the federal government in terms of passports identifying people based on their biological sex, and HHS going after hospitals now that are providing these procedures to kids. And so that's just a massive, massive victory. Seventh, again, was President Trump protecting women's sports. That was in February.

1:55:56 Eighth is it? Twenty Three pro life protesters were pardoned on the March for Life last year. These were peaceful pro life protesters who had been prosecuted and many of them jailed under the administration, even though they had let many of other many other violent pro abortion protesters that had firebomb pregnancy resource centers go free. These were thankfully pardoned under President Trump, and so I was very grateful and encouraged to see that very quickly in his administration. Ninth is the Vice president vance addressed for the March for Life and his very first public appearance since since being sworn in his vice president. And we saw that again last week when he addressed the March for Life for the second time. So I think that's a great thing, making sure that this pro life issue, which is so important, is being kept a top of mind for our politicians as they consider policies and their own campaigns and whatnot. And then tenth, it's kind of mixed with sadness a little bit. And that's the God I believe used Charlie Kirk's assassination for good.

1:56:51 It was something that we all saw. Many of us saw the video of him being assassinated, just absolutely evil, horrible. But then we also saw his memorial service, just to cut weeks later, the Gospel being proclaimed, and I think it was one hundred million people or so saw that memorial service, and so I think it was the widest gospel proclamation that occurred in history. That would not have occurred with Charlie not being assassinated, so obviously absolutely an evil thing, but God can use anything for good and I think he did that with that as well well.
