A recent article published in the Washington Stand on February 20, 2024, focuses on the increased violence and vandalism targeted toward religious institutions, especially the church. The article using the Family Research Council Report highlighted an 800% increase in "church attacks" over the last six years. This report is stunning for two reasons: 1. It is not reported in the mainstream media, and 2. It belies the history of our nation's Judeo-Christian heritage. How did we get to this ugly reality in a country that is reported to be founded on a religious-based heritage of liberty under the law? Pastor Stephen Broden founded the Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in 1987 and serves as its Senior Pastor. He is the author of "Pawns of Change: The Exploitation of Black Americans by Progressive Liberals," and a former Republican political candidate from the state of Texas in the 30th congressional district for the United States House of Representatives.
