Good to have you here. As always, you made it safe off the hill. Absolutely good to be with you. Bill. Hey, So give us an update. What did you discover yesterday as they held you captive. Well, the Democrats have plans at the state level and at the national level. They want to raise three trillion dollars.

0:49 They say it's for social security. But when Clinton was in, there was money, he didn't put any of it into social security. When Obama was in, when Biden's en, they never took any government resources and put them into social curity. They in fact created new entitlements with that they also didn't pay for. So the constant pushing of more government programs beyond the taxes, and both taxes and spending need to go down. So they're going to continue to ask. They're going to say to people, oh this is for soci security. By the way, there's no lock box. The money that they raise saying it's for social security does not have to go to soci security. There is no place to put the money for sociecurity. There's no lock box, there's no there's no cabinet. It's just into the general revenue, and they pretend where it goes. So be careful when politicians lie to you and say we're going to raise money and do this with it. There is no legal, constitutional, and in their view, moral obligation to do what they say more money. They take us an opportunity to spend more.

1:57 That's remember that's what happened. When Reagan got tricked into three dollars of spending reduction. He was promised for only one dollar of tax increase, a three to one ratio. The tax increases were real, they didn't help the economy. All of the spending cuts not only didn't happen, but spending went up more rapidly after the deal than before then. They went to George Herbert walker Bush, who for eight years had lunch every week with Reagan and learned evidently nothing. So I feel a little less bad about my ability to transfer some information to my children. Happened had eight years directly, but he was offered two dollars of imaginary spending cuts for every dollar of tax increase. Now, I would have thought if you're lying to somebody to make them feel good, you'd have say, since you're playing with Confederate currency, right, we'll give you ten dollars, right imaginary exactly, a guy feel good for a week or two two dollars.

3:00 Not only did the spending not get cut, it went up more rapidly, and it was so bad that the tax increases that it did slow the economy down, very very unhelpful. The Democrats are going to try and play this game one hundred times. They want to keep coming back saying we need to hire taxes. The answer is, the cost of government is total spending, whether you borrow it or take it in taxes, it's gone. Raising taxes to reduce the deficit doesn't free up any money for anything. It just moves it from your savings to the government's savings. Except they spent yeah, right. Yeah, the government savings. That's almost the knoximoron.

3:43 It is. They just spend and spend. And now there's this new trick international taxes. There's a French guy, of course he's French, who said, you know that idea in California having a tax on billionaires, which could be millionaires in a couple of weeks, but the first time they do it will just be the millionaires millionaires, they promise, sort of and so, and that'd be five percent of everything that they'd saved in their life. There's their business, their land, the gold, and their teeth, it's whatever, farm h and they're gonna take five percent of it. So many people and so much money left California that if that measure actually passes in November, we'll be on the ballot.

4:28 The governor of that of that state, Newsom, would like to run for president, so he doesn't want to see California collapse in front of the whole country while he's running for president. So he said, don't pass this bill, please, please don't. And the even more crazy people than Newsom said, now, we're going to do it anyway. So it's going on the ballot. It may get defeated because there will be some opposition and people will make the case as to why it's devastating, but just by talking about it enough people with enough money have left and their income taxes will no longer be paid in California, that that tax increase on billionaires will now lose money for California, and they'll have to raise taxes on every citizen because they're fewer high income people exactly looking around.

5:17 Well, this is the same scenario that New York is faced with, is it not. Yes, it's just. Like it's just so obvious. It's just incredible that you know how silly it is. But you see them heading for a cement. Well, but like you said, they're bound to determined, they don't want to, you know, hear the warnings. Well, the New York tax on people who own property, who own who rent something or own something in the city, but they live somewhere else. They come to the city to do some work. Perhaps they said, oh, we're going to tax you heavily if on property that you own, even though you don't live in New York. George the Third, the King who wanted to tax Americans without giving them representation.

6:06 We got mad and they had to leave, and our battle cry was no taxation without representation. And people in New York, people who visit New York will now be taxed a specific penalty tax on people who can't vote against Madami because they don't live in the city, but they have some property there, so they get taxed, not just like everybody else on normal property taxes, which are not normal in New York. They're pretty high additional tax because you can't vote against me, smack you in the face, steal your money. And what that means is people will stop. They may not all leave, but the big change that takes place is people will stop saying I'll keep an office there, I'll keep a Piana Terra place to stay there.

6:53 They'll now go out. I'm not going to set my foot there. I'll call it in mostly headquarters. Please move from New York to Dallas or to Miami so I can visit you there. I want to live in Wyoming, one of these business guys, right, but I'm not going to go to New York and get taxed like that. Yeah yeah, Why go to New York when you know the crime rate is what it is? I mean, there's so many negatives about New York anymore, and then you bring in a socialist mayor that is uh, it's just amazing. I mean, even Kathy Hulkel things that she's you know, backed off on too Grover. I mean, you know the hard left has a hold of this Democratic Party, does it not.

7:40 They do that back to when those the fights in Nicaragua and El Salvador and the American advice t Eel Salvador is to basically become socialist, And they said, tell you what on Land? So you why don't get break up land and give it to different people that didn't know it? And they said, tell you what, why don't you try that on a small state like Vermont? And when it works, they then come tell us an El Salvador that this might be a good idea And the answer is because they knew it wouldn't work. But what we're doing is now New York is a rather large rat to be doing scientific experiments on. You think you might try Vermont, not New York City, but in front of you, because Vermont could fall apart and no one would notice it, because it's been falling apart for thirty years and nobody's noticed. But New York. The bad stuff there that democratic socialism pushes big status and big government, tax and spend whatever they want to call it. They keep changing the names, because as soon as people figure out what the name is, they don't like it, so they move it to a different name, and liberal, progressive, social democrat move it around. So, oh, that was the other guys mean, I got a new name for my big government programs. As the people are going to watch this failure in New York and New York's used to be very rich leader of the country, people are leaving.

I wanted to revisit the social security issue. Is there something where there is such a revolt where the people say, look at We're not going to look at any more taxes until you do something about the fraud and corruption. I mean, Elon Musk came to town and said, hey, there's at least a trillion dollars here he got up to about two hundred billion, and they all but tarred and feathered him out of town. Trump and his doge like chapter or Phase two, is discovering more and more fraud. Can't the people just say look at enough of this? I mean, in every household in America, if we're spending too much money, we're looking where can we cut back? Where are we you know, subscribing to things that we're not using. You know, all these normal, common sensical kind of things you do in order to manage your budget. But it seems that the government is not and we the people are not holding them accountable to that.

15:01 Yes, there are two kinds of fraud. One is where somebody sends in a bill for something they just didn't do. And I was talking to some of the people that are chasing this down, some congressman centers, and they point out that they find clusters of if you look at who are sending the checks to, and they cluster in one zip code more than anywhere else. How come there are more people who take care of the elderly and get stipends from the government from right here, many many more than anywhere else in the country. Maybe because they're not real and they're sending in bills for stuff that didn't happen, and just by beginning to look at that, you know something's wrong. That's not necessarily what's wrong, but you know something's wrong. And I hope they speed up the process because in the next two years, before the next presidential election, we really need people to see the level and the amount of actual state feeling fraud. But then there's another kind of fraud, which is we give you disability payments because you're disabled because a doctor said you were, and then we find you're out jogging. That's technically you played by the rules, meaning you've got the doctor to lie for you. But it is fraud. And people who choose not to work and get welfare instead, it's very difficult once you do that for a couple of years to ever get back into the job. And so the welfare state has damaged a lot of young men.

16:34 There's the reason why young men don't work as much as they used to. And it's not that they're more damaged than other people. They fall down the stairs more often and break their legs. It's because the government makes it easy for them to go on different kinds of welfare disability, whether or not disabled. And once even if you get I was talking to some of the people who run welfare in the various states. They say, even when you find it job for one of those people that pays much more than welfare, the welfare thing fifteen hundred dollars a month, that's for sure. The job that was, you know, five thousand dollars a month, I don't know that could go away. And they hug the lower pay and sit on the couch. And it's not fair of the government to do this to people. They are destroying people's lives there.

17:26 And it's not fair for the taxpayer either because and I think I may have shared the story with you a gentleman that I knew his mother was a on welfare of five kids, single mom, but she her side hustle was teaching piano to kids in the neighborhood. Okay, she didn't report that to the government, but she's got that money going in. Well, a social worker comes in, goes, my goodness, you're so talented. We're going to get you a full ride scholarship to USC in California. They gave her a full ride scholarship. He goes to college, gets her degree, she works for a couple of years and goes, huh, I ain't doing this. She's back on welfare.

18:10 Well, there's a certain amount of security there, but it's not real and it's not fair to steal money from her neighbors too. But going back to what you were saying earlier, though, and this is really important here because especially for these young kids, Grover, because they're being conditioned to think that somehow this is acceptable. But you're destroying your life. You psychologically, you have mediocratized yourself. You are less than and like you say, the danger of getting out of the job market for a year or two years, you're behind your peers. How do you go in and you think, okay, well I'm worth one hundred thousand dollars a year, but your peers are doing one hundred thousand dollars a year worth of work, and you've missed out two years of honing your skills and rising to that level. And you're going to feel defeated, are you not?

19:01 The most important skill in most jobs is showing up. Yes, that the hump people can't get over is showing up. They'd bring them in and they'd show up for work once or twice and then not have any sense at all. They were that you had to do this every day. That is not as easy as you'd think, evidently, And once you're out of the habit, you know, Okay, I went to work. I did that, you know, every day. So the key skill every day to work. Take it seriously, and then the world opens up to you because there are always different jobs inside any company. Uh, you don't. You could start doing one thing and end up doing something else completely. You can decide what other skills to pick up. But the first one is showing up every day.

20:06 Yeah, it is amazing. This is a US labor study that I went. I studied it quite closely, and this was several decades ago. Back then, Grover said, if you showed up every day for work on time, you were in the top ten percent of the US labor force. I mean, you're going to out hustle nine out of ten of your peers just by showing up for work every day on time to your point. Yeah, there used to be a slogan that the guys who studied welfare says, you know, graduate high school, get a job and a job, and get married before you have kids. You do those three things and you will never be poor. You will never be poor. That gets you past poverty because you just you've protected yourself against some of the things that can go wrong. And the high school stuff is negotiable. But get a job, any job, get married, stay married. Those are the key things. And it's not helpful that the government spending on welfare and so on. It is as if it was designed to cripple people, so they would have to be on welfare and they would have to look to the politicians to give the money, not to themselves. And that is a group that can be told how to vote and when to vote and who to vote for because we're the party nobody else will give you money for not doing anything right exactly, letter vote for us. And that is a large part of the modern Democratic Party's base. People

21:38 go to work. The Democratic Party is finished. Yeah, well, and this is the thing, like you say, Grover, is that why twenties twenty six is so important these midterms and twenty twenty eight, because this progressive movement continues on the trajectory that it is God forbid they take over this country and they start to exercise, as you say, sweeping tax increases that are going to reach far beyond because this we we we've seen this nightmare before historically. So this isn't new. This is what the Democrats do. It's in their DNA, and they will reach far beyond billionaires in large corporations. Right. Oh yeah, well it already has. We're all paying taxes. It may be hidden taxes. You may think that that your insurance company is paying taxes. Good, well, who do you think that does to your insurance rates? The only people who pay taxes are people. Okay, companies don't you know, Farms don't people do? And particularly consumers and workers.

22:36 Well, you got to you got to hand it to them, because they come up with all kinds of different ways to tax you. You know, it's a federal wealth tax here, we got new energy carbon taxes. We're gonna have AI taxes. I mean, it's it's never ending, is it. Yeah, And they've got an electronic transfer tax if you move if a bank moves money from one bank to another and they send it, send it electronically. They a very small tax on every transaction. But since they're billions every day, and somebody sitting at home paying their bills and using Venmo and so on wouldn't understand that they were paying this tax. So it's a hidden taxes. Are friends of Democrats love taxes on other people which often aren't other people. It's just they thought, oh, it's not you, it's these other guys. It's right.

23:28 Well, in a sense, it seems like as you explained this, it helped me. If I'm misperceiving this, it's almost like you're getting double text because you get taxed by the government, then you know you're going to pay for it with higher rates, so forget about affordability. So that, in a sense, is the effect of the first tax. So it's almost like a double taxation, is it not? Am I understanding that? Right? It builds up on top of itself. Any product, you've got so many taxes, the corporate income tax on the business that made the win, that went into the thing you're buying, and all of the things that go in they're all taxed at various levels, and then the final product and the final company that does something is taxed as well, and that the person who sells it to you has to be taxed, is tax and has to pay his or her salary as a salesman, as somebody who works at the store. Every level gets taxed and they hope you don't notice.

24:25 Well, you know, you think about it because here's your cell phone. As you say, oh, you got all these components to make up the cell phone. Each of those individual components is an opportunity to tax, right. Yes, And the good news is that people are largely catching this and Americans for tax from the group that I run, we're working in the fifty states and all the red states to phase income taxes down and then to go to zero. And what we're seeing is people move to the states with zero income tax. They move to the states that have flat income taxes. Difficult to raise a single rate taxes. You have to look at everybody in the eye and say I'm raising everyone's taxes, and that's tough to do. So single rate tax phase down to zero. Right now, there are eight states with no income tax. They're twelve that are on the road to no income tax and some others that will join that as well. And as the states succeed, the red states succeed and the blue states fail, it'll be a real education. People are starting to see it now. You all every year announces you know which states people leave the high tax states, you know states they go to the low tax states people can fit. They don't say it that way. They just give you the name of the states, but you can figure it out. And so they see that, they hear it. They know their friends are moving. Parents want to move to be where their kids because their kids are moving where the jobs are, and those are the red states exactly.

Well, wait a minute, you can't. You can't make an opening statement and then claim the fifth. Right, Oh, it was great. He wouldn't answer what color his tie was? It? Just yeah, yeah, he just I guess somehow that's induidable. And you know, even the I guess the auto pen you know, covered that as well. I mean, well, you know, and I'll take going into this, I knew that this was going to end up being a bit of a circus.

30:30 But I thought that as this thing was progressing, I thought, you know, what they had to do is ask a question. And even though he takes the fifth and we're going to say, all right, well let's read, let's read from your diary. So they didn't. They didn't do that they should have done. No, no, I would have thought they. I mean, they did a little bit of it, but I got they could have done a whole routine just on Okay, he's not going to answer it, but let's see the diary. Well his diary says this, you know, so at least people would get an answer. But I thought, even regardless, as you know, John, just asking the questions sometimes can be quite revealing. Well, what we need to focus on is the meat of the revelations from those diaries. Anthony Fauci was engaged in a criminal conspiracy to suppress the truth about COVID's origins, to suppress safe effective treatments like hydroxychloricuin and ibmectin, and in order to create the legal structure for the mRNA vaccines, which were untested emergen they had an emergency authorization, which was only possible because they banned the other medications that did work. Tens of thousands of people have died from that vaccine. Thousands of people died because they were put on ventilators, which they shouldn't have been put on. They should have been put on hydroxychloricuin and ibermectin and xythromycin.

Americans, freedom stripped away by this unelected tyrant who managed to capture our elites, and not just in America, all around the world exactly, kids missing their graduations, kids missing a year's school, people locked in their homes. This was the This was a test run for global totalitarianism, and it's and it went off almost without a hitch. It was just a few courageous people like Peter McCullough and Robert Malone and a few of the churches that stood up and said no.

32:42 Well, and Governor de santiss Yeah, I mean, Ron de Santis is the only person, including Trump, who the only political leader who comes out of this smelling like a rose. And it's a real shame that DeSantis is not the front runner for the Republican nomination instead of jd Vance, who was a one term, two year senator with nebulous views that are hard to pin down, whose pals with Tucker Carlson and a bunch of other really dodgy characters who have some dark prejudices about Jews and about the American founding being being the American was founded poorly. Our democracy is inherently weak. I mean, there are some weird ideas floating around on the right, and a lot of a lot of the people now who are condemning Fauci were in fact in favor of the lockdowns at the time.

33:38 People people like Jack Bizovic and Mike Tchernovich. They act now like they were warriors against the COVID fascism, but in fact they were complicit in it. What needs to happen is a state like Florida, and the Attorney generaler Florida has already said his interests looking into this. A state needs to indict Fauci for state crimes and then he needs to end up in a state prison. I know that the Senate might hold him in contempt of Congress, but the problem is that's going to go to a DC jury. The same DC jury is that convicted Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro on trumped up charges. So the DC jury is not going to convict Anthony Fauci of anything.

34:21 So the DC jury also John that just slapped the hand on the one attorney. But remember Biden's Biden's attorney. They caught him red handed and they just slapped his hand and. Uh on the risk. Yeah, right, that's it. You know, we we have to find a way around federal federal charges being resolved in Washington, d C. Because the jury pool is perpetually tainted. Half the people who live there on welfare and the other half are government employees whose money depends on the Democrats. So d c should never be the site of an important trial. They're just going to be OJ jury's. Everyone is going to be an OJ jury completely by from the beginning. If you remember how DC Juri's helped judges throw the book at January sixth defendants nonviolent crimes of protesting a stolen election.

We're in this quagmar war with Iran, which it seems is going to accomplish nothing except to hand Congress over to the Democrats, and then Trump's last two years will be an impeachment circus. So I think it's essential we get out of the Iran war on whatever terms we can get, pretend it's a victory, deal with it again after the midterms. And you know what a man for the people. In my humble opinion, well, he certainly was a senator that was known worldwide. I mean, he was a senator that had an impact not just here in this country, but really throughout the world. And you know, very few senators I think had those kinds of relationships with foreign leaders.

They would go to try to hotspots to you know, push American influence, project our strength and try to bring about peace and support people that were being attacked. So it was quite a career. I mean, he had an incredibly influential tenure senator, that's for sure. And when you think about his background, you know where he came from, you know, to rise to this level. And also again I appreciate the idea that he didn't ingratiate himself with the people's treasury like other you know, elected politicians have done with insider trading. In that I mean, I think that his net worth, as he you know, recently was reported that was it was reasonable. It was less than two million dollars, nothing like Nancy Pelosi or some of these others that have taken full advantage of insider trading. So to me that that adds some some credibility to the man.

And you know, there's so many of these members of Congress that come in poor, middle class and they leave a multimillionaire. How does that happen, Bill exactly. And speaking of disturbance on the Hill, is one Anthony Fauci who is going before a Senate hearing with a pardon pen document from Joe Biden. It was kind of a preemptive one. I mean, it wasn't even indicted, there was no due process underway, but Joe Biden felt that it was essential for Tony Fauci to have a pardon before it all came down. So you know, it's not like he's going to come in and fast up even though we have his diary. And and I still want to know how, you know, how Rand Paul was able to come up with his diary.

I think it was helpful to have you know, the Trump administration there digging through multiple you know, sources to get to get it put together. And yeah, Rand Paul made it very easy to access. I mean, Rand Paul deserves the credit for exposing this guy as a liar, in my opinion, as a criminal. I believe he should have been charged. I don't believe that the pardon is even worth anything because it was done by an autopen right, the president of the United States.

And you know, he's all excited because he's having a conversation with Barbara Streisen and talking about Alexa and you know, playing her music for I mean, it's and meanwhile, people are dying because of his lack of accountability and how he was hiding things. I mean, he was clearly involved with gain of function up to his ear lobes, which is nothing more than and you know, something that had been outlawed, which is chemical warfare and biological warfare that he was involved in.

And he was involved in this research that should have never been allowed and it was I think illegal, And of course they came up with this preposterous, you know, wet market theory of where the COVID originated from which I think all of us viewed as being ridiculous. There's a bioweapons lab right there, and wuhan, obviously that's a connection.

But yet he tries to claim some sort of plausible deniability, right.

And then what happened, you know, the media, fauci everybody pigpiled on these people, saying well, how dare you say that hydroxychloroquin worked for you and it saved your life? Well, excuse me, it did right right.

It was something that I don't know if the medical industry has recovered from. I don't. I don't. I don't think it has. Jeff, Look, we got a couple of minutes left, and I did want to talk to you about the WNBA. What a hot mess this has become. I mean, your headline state said, well they hate America. I mean, here it is, we're celebrating our two hundred and fiftieth year and the WNBA, boy, there's not a calling or you know, a movement. They won't put a stamp, you know, on their jersey for or anything else but America's birthday. They will not acknowledge. Are you kidding me.

But I think they're going to end up, uh you know, just stretching the nerves of their followers, and they're gonna they're gonna end up losing in the long run.

Bill Martinez here, and we've got you know in general he's actually retired US Air Force Major General Bob larbrit are going to be here joining us in just a few moments to talk about the National The New Nation Military Monument that's opening on the National Mall All is part of the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary as we honor more than forty one million Americans who have served in the US Armed Forces. The interactive experience allows families across the country to search for loved ones who served and submit missing service records for future recognition. General, welcome the show. Well, as America commemorates it's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, remarkable new tribute is honoring the millions of men and women who serve as helped shape the nation. And thank you for coming on to tell us all about it. I'm excited to represent the thirty eight thousand of us of USAA. It's wonderful to be here. Well, the retired US Air Force Major General Bob Lebruda with YOUSAA, as he just mentioned, has helped bring the special tribute to life at the Lincoln Memorial. So tell us what is this National Military Monument? Well, the National Military Monument is our opportunity in USAA to contribute to America two fifty. We wanted to do something big and bold and came up with this digital United States American flag that you see behind me, and it is just absolutely wonderful right at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. So we couldn't have a better venue for us to actually honor the forty one thousand of US that have actually served our nation in uniform.

1:47:30 Well, this is really heart rendering. I mean, it can't help but capture the hearts of patriots across this country. And we've seen the display of patriotism and we're reminded of our patriotism by the Europeans that were just visiting during the World Cup, right General. Yeah, absolutely, that was phenomenal to see their reaction to this great country because at the same reaction I have every single day, Bill. Well, yeah, exactly, because there's just something that you know, cannot overwhelm the truth and the genuineness of this great American idea whose history is rich and just incredible. And of course, you know, but for all those that have served in the military, as you mentioned in all the branches of the service, over a million, who have paid the ultimate sacrifices, and the families that are associated with that sacrifice, we continue to honor them on a daily basis.

1:48:29 Yeah, absolutely, Bill, And I'm glad you brought up the families because you know, the only way that we can serve in the United States Military is to have a family right there by our side who is sacrificing daily so that we can do what we need to do when the nation calls. Well, I remember when I was in boot camp at MCRD in San Diego General. There was nothing like getting a letter from home, you know, from mom and dad and exchanging letters. I mean, just even a quick snapshot of that memory was so special. Yeah, the same for me when I went through basic military training, you know, just having the opportunity to receive that letter, to have it read after a very long and hard day, there was nothing better than that.

1:49:16 Well, General, how does the National Military Monument work? Well? How it works? Is that what you ask? Bill? I'm sorry, yes, how does that work? That's the question. Well, it's actually it's both interactive and it's also personal. And what I mean by that, if you have a cell phone, then what you do is you can put in the QR code that we've got. It'll bring up a page. In the page you put the military member's name in that'll come up with a code. And then if you're here in Washington, d C. At the monument, you come to the Kiosk and one of the ambassadors will bring it up, and right here on this incredible monument, that name of that military member will be right there before you, honoring him or her. Tell you when I did that with my dad coming up. This is where it's personal. My eyes just I tell you what, I had tears in my eyes. My heart was overfilled with great pride and I'm so honored that we can do something like this for our military members and their families.

I mean, don't you love the technology that allows us to do that, otherwise you would be spending an endless amount of time searching the wall looking for a name. Right, Yeah, that's exactly right. And you know, if you're a computer, if you're not used to computers like me, you know, I have to clump through it a little bit. But I tell you, it's very easy, very interactive, and it's a nice way for you to be able to take a look at the person that you're trying to find and bring it up and know, by the way, we don't you know, forty one million of us are in that archive, but we haven't got it right yet. If you see that somebody is missing, it's your opportunity to let us know about that, and then what we will do is we'll update the database so that they'll show up the next time exactly.

1:51:00 And that's the other thing too that I was glad to see is that you're welcoming information from the families that are able to come in and update this information, so it's dynamic even as it stands. Right, Yeah, absolutely, And in USAA, we've been around for one hundred and four years, putting the military member of the family at the center of all we do. And so this is our way to pay tribute to not only the fourteen point three million members, but also the forty one million of US across the nation that have served well.
