Minutes after the top of the are right now. Bill Martinez here along with at RS Ben Raja Durai, who's joining us. He is the ATR Senior Director of External Affairs. Ben. Welcome, Michelle, good to have you with us. Thanks for having me. Well, Ben, help me understand here. It's interesting, you know, with the economy being what it is, we're now officially over thirty nine trillion dollars in debt. We've got red states so to speak, that have gotten the message and said, look it, we've got to do better by the taxpayer.

0:46 We've got to be more efficient. We've got to do something about all this fraud and waste and about you know, making our governments operate more efficiently. Meanwhile, you got blue states that seem to be just totally fixated on this, you know, on taking care of illegal immigrants and becoming sanctuary cities and state designees. Budgets are out of control. People are leaving their cities in mass In fact, you got to be careful if you're at the exit doors, you're liable to get run over by a U haul truck, right, indeed, so what's the disconnect here? Look, I think it's just two fundamental, fundamentally different ways of looking at the taxpayer. Right, every red state looks at basically looks to see how quickly they get the money, that is taxpayers back into their pockets. It's twelve states to cut the income tax last year, you have four or five this year. They were talking about completely eliminating it.

1:44 And then you have your blue states you have and your blue cities. You have your Mom Donnies alleged moderate Abbiil Spamberger, the Washington State Democratic Party who've decided that they know. What best to do with your money. And so instead of you know, cutting tax is reducing their spending, they're bloating their governments. They're putting new taxes in place, and voters are voting with their feet. You look at how many people are leaving states like California and Washington to Tennessee, Florida and Texas. It's staggering for those states. What's coming. Well, I got to tell you, I'm a bottom line kind of guy. I've been in business most of my life Okay, so I always look at the bottom line, all right, So for all the investment of the Blue states, are they better? Are they providing better services or less services?

2:30 Less services? It's staggering. If you look at Florida and New York, Florida and New York. Florida's got I think three or four million people more. They have half the size of the budget of New York. And there's not a person here that would tell me that a public school in Orlando is worse than the public school in New York City. Where does that money go. That money goes to indoctrination of these students, It goes to a bloading bureaucracy, It goes to paying for Democrat machine operatives to have state jobs and state pensions. There is a way to do this without uh reducing services, without uh, you know, still providing a good quality of life for the tax payer, while solimiting spending, being restrained in the growth of government and cutting taxes.

3:11 Yeah. The other thing that's important to consider here is a good portion that money also goes to Democratic election campaigns. Yep, right, So that's you're It's interesting because we've gone full circle because that was the big argument with unions, Right, why am I paying my dues that's going to support a political party that I don't care about, That it's not really serving my interest. And so that's been a debate over the decades. So now in the greater span of things, Democrats have found a way to take that model and force it upon their general constituency constituency in these blue states.

3:52 Am I am I seeing this right? No? I think that's spot on. I think that's absolutely spot on. Uh And and this this is the way to break the back to the machine is to cut those taxes and take that money out of state offers. So how do they do that? So you look at a state. There's a really good model. North Carolina came up with about a dozen years ago that is now kind of the preferred model in all these states. And basically what you do is you set your budget and then you set a trigger. So in North Carolina the trigger is population growth plus inflation. So every year your budget's going to grow because there's more people inflation in the bidinary, that inflation number went up a little higher. But basically you take that number and any surplus that comes in, that money goes to buy down the income tax rate. So you look at a state like North Carolina, they've got their rate down to under four over over ten years because they just took the money that came in over population growth, in inflation and just cut rates. You look at states like Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kentucky, West Virginia, they all have similar models. Just take that money and don't don't even like tempt a legislator to spend it.

4:59 You just immediately take to an income tax cut. Well yeah, and I think that's a great model because the challenge is, you know, politicians cannot stand to see a surplus in the bank. Yep. They've got to spend it no matter what. And that's how we got to you know, part and parcel, how we got to thirty nine trillion dollars. It's in their DNA, you know, to spend that money, not think about buying it down. It's like, okay, well we'll take care of it when we really have a real crisis. I mean America. The fact of the matter is we're a crisis in waiting, are we not. Yep? Yeah. And I think it's important to see too, Like if you look at some of these states that are doing these income tax cuts, there's quality of services gone up.

5:43 Look at a state like Mississippi that has aggressively cut their income tax back from the days of Speaker Gun and now and Governor Reeves. There's an entirely new thing going on there too, where the quality of education's gone up, the quality of life has gone up. All a cutting spending, all well, cutting taxes. And that is the model that every state should be looking at to see that this is the thing that can work. Well. It forces fiscal discipline, doesn't it. It does, I mean, and it keeps you from doing goofy things like, you know, doing things like sanctuary city expenses where you're you know, paying more for illegal immigrants than you are TSA members. Yep, spot on.

6:23 Is that crazy? It's insane. Yeah, I mean, it just does not make sense. But it's like, and the deal is, it's all counterintuitive. It's like the same way, you know, Grover and I've talked about this before, is that when you lower taxes, when you lower the rate on taxes, you actually get more tax money. And this is empirical, This isn't theoretical. Time and time again, this has been the case. You know, you charge the citizens less for taxes and the government has more money to spend. But they just cannot they're so fixated, their paradigm is so locked into their minds that they just cannot even understand the empirical evidence.

7:05 Yeah, it's it's the politics of envy, right. If the Democrats have not found a billionaire that they can't hate, right, and it's they've decided to divide us between the haves and the have nots, or whatever paradigm they want to use. They try to divide us, and then they try to mug us one at a time with tax hikes. So they'll they'll start. You look at a state like Washington right now, they're going to start and say, oh, it's just for the millionaires. But when they had a chance to put a. Vote the Washington the Washington State Republicans forced to vote for an amendment that said that they will never change that threshold from a million let me tell you what the Democrats said. They voted it down. Of course we know what's coming, right, And so it's the politics of nvie. They try to get They try to get the ones. They try to get you to forget that it's coming for you next and that's a really scary, kind of messed up way to go about things.

7:51 Yeah, all you got to do is go back in history. That's the way the income tax program began, right, Yep. They were going after that top one percent. We're gonna go after those dirty, rotten people that have worked so hard created jobs for you. They got all this money and everything, and we're going to go after them. And the ninety nine said, yeah, go go, go have fun. Everything else. That lasted about a year because the government went there and they realized that these people with money got some powerful attorneys, and they were coming out of the ring pretty pretty bloodied and broken up. They said, hey, we're fighting the wrong bat. Let's go after the ninety nine. Yeah, and do you look at a state like Washington again, right, the newest test case and all this. You're a billionaire in that state, you can go two hours east, go to Idaho, where they're actively cutting income tax. It's going to be half to half the rate that Washington's got, and it doesn't really cost you anything. It's going to cost the state millions of dollars of revenue, but it's not going to cost the billionai or anything.

8:44 It's easy for them to do that. They can move to Texas with no income tax, they can move to Florida with no income tax, and that BLUs. I gotta tell you. Go to Idaho. They got the best baked potatoes. I am not kidding you. I mean that's that's the benefit the baked potatoes. The first time I visited, and I oh, I could not believe. Men, rise you to ride, and you know we're talking talking your money, ladies and gentlemen. You know, some of these states in our country, particularly red states, I mean, I hate to put it in those terms, but you know, you got to know where it is. And you know there is a clear divide between red and blue states and a philosophy and their mindset and how to manage government and bureaucracy. And it's it seems that the permanent condition for Blue states man is they just want to continue to grow government. Government is not big enough for them. Yep. I think that's spot on. Yet you look at the New York's and the Massachusetts state, they have not found a tax hike that they couldn't fall in love with.

14:30 And with every tax hike, that's a tax that's a realization for the taxpayer to make less money, right, it's right out of their pocket. Yep. Every tax like's a pay decrease. Every tax cut is a pay hike. It's that simple. Yeah. So, and this is what more and more people across the country are realizing, like you say, you know, if you're in the West and whether it's you know, California or Washington like you said, or you make a move and you know, there's there's gold in other hills that are more beneficial, and you know, and it's amazing to me because California has been on this trajectory for a long time. I was born and raised in California, been and I remember when I remember what maybe about thirty thirty five years ago, very arrogantly the politicians there in the state would say, well, people don't care about how much they get tax because you know, the weather here and everything that California has to offer, you know, they'll just suck it up and they're going to pay for it, right. And the fact of the matter is is the taxpayers there in California have been paying excessive tax whether it comes to you know, dealing with fuel, you know, their special you know, designer fuel out you know, designer fuel that they produce. It has people paying anywhere from you know, a buck fifty to two bucks more than everybody else across the country.

15:45 Yeah, and I think it's starting to look like the rich and that those were successful in California have had enough. The number of people that have left that state in the last three or four years and just moves next door to Arizona or Nevada or Utah, you know, or decided to ship their entire business to a state that actually wants them there, whether that's Texas or Tennessee. Uh, it's it's it's really jarring. And yeah, hopefully Californians kind of wake up to this and we get a chance to do something about it. Well, what California is some of these other blue states, what they've done traditionally is they've carved out exceptions for some of these big companies. They realize, Hey, we need the we need the funds, and you know, we can't afford to lose it, so they're going to carve out some sort of exemption. And but I think that right now, based on what you're saying and what we're seeing with U haul, you know, truck rentols and all that one way out of California, they've had it. You know, they just going look at I don't want to keep going through this dance all the time, yep. And yeah, I may have an exception as far as the company, but my employees are getting beat.

16:47 Up right yep, yep. And at the end of the day, it's just a sword hanging over your head, right, Like what happens if they don't give you my carve out next year because the budget got a little too tight. There's much better to be in a state where you can you can look forward for ten years, know that a state's moving in the right direction down that your environment, your business environment's only going. To get better. That will never happen in California. That will never happen in New York. As a currentlier constitute. You know, it makes me wonder, man, I got to tell you, is that why there isn't more of a mass migration out of these blue states unless you're just so ideologically fixed yourself and you believe in the cause, so you figure, Okay, I'm just gonna I'm gonna do it. But what's going to happen is that when you have so much money at the top leaving, that's going to come down and fall on you. Yep, right, yep.

17:35 From just purely from a government funding perspective, right, it is much easier and more stable for a government to have a broad rate that is low, that is paid by a lot of people, because it doesn't put influence, It doesn't put the balance of the government on like ten people. Right. So if you look at California, top one percent I think is paying like thirty or forty percent of the state budget at least at least, and all it takes is a few of those people who leave to put that state in a budget crunch and a crisis. And they're already in a budget already the way, they're probably a bankrupt they just didn't get the memo yet. Yeah, exactly, And It's really easy to see that happen. You look there. You can look at Massachusetts, right. So New Hampshire recently became one of the new zero income tax states. They finally phased out their tax on capital gains, and at the same time, Massachusetts passed a millionaire's tax.

18:23 And guess what happened. Everyone just went north. It's that simple, right, So now Massachusetts, a year after passing this millionaire's tax, has a budget brunch already. It happens that quick. Well, as long as Massachusetts doesn't go too far north into Canada and hopes that they would become the fifty first state. You know, yeah, yeah, but that's a whole other conversation, and I digress anyway, politics aside for you just a moment. Let's talk about the social and cultural differences between high tax states like California, Oregon. We kind of touched on it compared with the no tax states like Florida and Texas. Yep, I think it at the end of the day, it's the culture among the legislators, right if the if you ask the Iverage Florida Republican legislator, they look at that that money that comes in every year and they figure out how to get rid of it back to the taxpay as quickly as possible. Right, you look at a state like Florida that's phased out every tax possible, and they're still looking for new taxes to cut.

19:17 That's the cultural difference. I think. It's a fundamental difference between both parties. Democrats will take and take and take because they have so many mouths to feed, so many machines to fund, and. So many promises to keep keep. YEP, and Republicans look at it as we just want to be left alone. How can we get government out of as many things as possible? And the less the smaller your government easier is to cut that tax. And the thing that's amazing is when you look at how efficient and inefficient you know, these two concepts are. It's like, why would you support and waste money on a government on a state that is so irresponsible, because again, you know, I would really like to have a breakdown ben of this money. In fact, I asked Grover this, you know, probably a month and a half ago, because we were talking about the budget. It was then, you know what thirty eight trillion dollars that we were in debt with right, I said, I'd be curious to find out of that thirty eight trillion, how much of that went to buy votes.

20:19 Yeah, it's a good question, he said. He said the majority. He said, I don't have that number. He goes, that's a good question, and I said, I'm looking. I'm looking for a good answer because the people need to understand, because just like you said, you know, one side is about, hey, let's get the money back to the people, because you keep that money flowing, and the wheels on the bus are going around and around, and guess what, you know, kids are getting educated. You know, we're not getting brown outs. You know, we've got plenty of electricity, you know, cheap gas, all this good stuff moving in a positive direction. Services are there. And meanwhile on the other side, man, you got you got you know, brownouts you know being projected, and uh price of gasoline because of all these things. And then and then you see all these illegal immigrants coming to town and and you see that they're you know, putting them up in five star hotels and yeah, you know, giving them you know, five grand a month and walk around money. It's like, what, give me a break.

21:18 It's crazy, it's crazy. But but you know, it's just like, look at you know, America has to wake up because this great, you know, American experiment that you know that one of our founding fathers had said quite clearly when asked what kind of uh, Benjamin Franklin was asked, Okay, what kind of government do you have? He said, a democratic republic if you can keep it, yep. So the onus is is where it's always been, and it's it's clearly spelled out in our constitution. We the people, The onus is on us. We get the government we deserve, We get the government we vote for. And that's a whole other conversation too, in terms of the voting process, because we want to make sure that you know, the foundational principles of this democratic republic is that you have the consent of the government, right, yep.

22:12 Absolutely, And yeah, look at state like West Virginia to just this week they did two things at the same time they secured their elections. They put a concerential amendment on the ballot to do to only allow citizens to vote to clarify that in state law, and they cut their in context by five percent. These things all go hand in hand and it's it's just a movement that's going to continue across across red states. Well, you know, the thing is the red states are a clear contrast to the Blue states and what they're doing in terms of governance and efficiency and being fair minded towards you know, their constituents. And you know, I think as this moves on and there's more success being reported from red states, it's going to be an uphill battle for these blue state politicians. Don't you think to let that unless they're they're feeding the people this delual kool aid, you know, and they've got it in the in the water system in such a way that they just are so deluded that they can't see it.

23:08 Yeah, and here's the here's the thing. The competition is only going to heat up among red states too. This this has moved so fast over the last couple of years, and you're looking at even more progress this year. You can look at states like Missouri, you can look at states like Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, where either the governor or lieutenant governor, the heads of the legislature of all said we're going to do this process. We're going to face our income tax all the way out. And what's that going to do to all of the neighboring states, Right, what's going to happen in Kansas with the Democrat governor like Janna Kelly who veto's tax cuts. What happens in Colorado where Jared Polis has just has figured out how to mess up that budget? Right, that they're they're going to be forced to either compete or die, and that at some point that is the choice of the voters in those states.

You know he's got control of all these things, honey, I mean with him every day, every minute it's an emergency, he's yeah, he has a question figure to did yet? Thank God someone's on it is all we can say. Uh, Well, yeah, exactly. Well, you know, I keep thinking how much longer can he possibly last before there's some sort of recall. I mean already some have said he lied to us.

28:13 What do you mean you? I mean, like what nobody told you that he was going to do this? I mean, what are you thinking? You know, I think you're actually right about that. I did a piece last week where I quoted that, and he saw the interview that Cavin Newsom did with a guy named Adam Friedland, and Freedland said, you know, what is your objective? What do you want to do? And he said, well, it's all about the spirit of the sixties, and it's about the Mendela thing, and and it's it's it's the Gandhi and that's me, that's my mom, that's my dad, that's my But I mean, this guy babbled like you cannot believe. It was breathtaking. And I said, look, Newsom has no idea why he's running for president, clearly, And I said, it made me envy, or not envy. It made me miss the days of Mandamie's fall campaign, where I didn't like his ideas. But it's very clear he said, I want free busses. Free and fest buses.

29:01 We want to freeze the rent, we want free child care, we want a city runment, government run grocery stores. And we're gonna pay for this all with by taxing rich. It was very open and I didn't like it. But every day he kept got up and tell us exactly what's going to do. It was very clear. Uh, you know, he talked to crowds, the crowds that chant out, you know, call and responses to what his program was. So there was no mystery versus Gavin Newsom was running and Gavin Newsom's it's a mystery to us. And the mystery gabn Newsom why he is running for president? So I give him. He went to the Kamala Harris School of Political Persuasion. Oh yeah, well, I mean what this interview, it's it's online. It's amazing political salad. Bar I mean, it was just breathtaking and just pure total babbling. And this guy said in the middle, he said, all right, that's interesting, but let's try again. Let's say I'm a regular voter, regular guy, and I'm asking you're telling me, all right, if you vote for me, you get X.

29:54 What is that? And again he launches in this babbling thing about uh, selling wine with screwtops, selling wine retail and restaurants and so forth. And this is my why. I mean, it was amazing that this guy couldn't say, you vote for me, and we'll do this for education, We'll do this on taxes, we do this stream the environment. I mean, he could not name one single solitary concrete promise. It was abstely spectacular. And this guy's written a book, he's obviously interested in running for president, and he's not sat down long enough to come up with you know, here the three or the two, or here's the one thing you'll get if you vote for me. I mean, it really amazing. I'm on Damie again. I didn't vote for the guy. I'm not a supporter. But he was very clear and he laid out what he wanted to do. Yes, none of the stuff should be a surprise to anybody. He was very very clear as to what his intentions were, and you know what the program was he'd implement, and he's going about it now and it's not turning out well.

He got just under fifty one percent of the fifty point eight percent. So four million people voted for that. Uh, well of the people who showed up, I mean obviously a lot of people didn't show up. That the turnout was not huge, but it wasn't microscopic either. Believe when Bill build A Blaso got in, the turnout was I don't know, something like maybe twenty percent of. That And that's why I say twenty twenty five percent something like that. Yeah, I think I believe the turnout this time was somewhere in the forties if I remember, forty to fifty if I remember correctly. So we've got a decent turnout and we want a majority. I mean, no doubt he won that race. Part of it was that the Republicans, so many Republicans would not rally around Curtis Sliwa, who is the GOP's nominee, who won the GP nomination of Fair and Square, and you know all these people saying, oh, well, we don't like Mandami, so you know, quote unquote Curtis Sliwa can't win. Even though they never spent two minutes trying to figure out how maybe they could help him win.

31:47 They just said, Okay, let's vote for Andrew Cuoma, who's like a quarter of inch quarter of an inch to the right of Mandami. I mean, Andrew Comb was a far left Democrat. He would not have been very much better than Mandami. We're doing almost as so part of that, the opposition of Mandammy got split between Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sieu. I think if you run against Curtis SLEEUW and the gped rally around him, and we've gotten guys that Bill Ackman to put up some serious money behind him, you know, he might have won or at least limit the mandate for Mandammie significantly. But that didn't happen, unfortunately, and we had end up having the non Mundahmi boat gets split two ways, and he ran, you know, between the two, and now he's the City Hall for the rest of you know, for the three and a half years.

People are leaving the city and in both parts of the book end there from east and west, you know, they're all you know, exiting. You know, be careful, don't stand at the exit. I mean, his line in the sand is, hey, don't even send me anymore bill to sign, because I'm not signing them until this Save Act is h's my desk, right. Yeah, that's what he said. Whether they have to do is standing for speaking, talking filibuster or you know, talk talk talk for two months, whatever it takes. I mean, the Civil Rights Act of sixty four was philibuster for the better part of two months until the Republicans were able to break the filibuster by the racist Southern Democrats. The Democrats are the ones who tried to block that, and Everett Dirkson and the Republicans were able to join the Northern Democrats and get that passed and put onto Lynn and Johnson's desk. But that took about two months. If it takes, you need the Senates to spend two months in this. They need to do it because we have had some of the dirtiest, officious, nastiest elections in the world for years now. We need to get to we end this and this whole business of you know, the voter roles will have people who are foreign citizens, dead people on the roles, people who moved away, and they're gonna have mass mail ballots into

34:00 everyone on the voter roles, including people who are no longer living, people moved up to other states. You know, I go vote here in New York if I so much is pull out my driver's license. No, no, put that away. We don't want to see it. I mean, not only do they not ask for it, they actively asked me not to show it. It's unrealingable. Oh they freak out. They look like I'm pulling out a rattlesnake out of my pocket. Oh, and they jump out of their chairs. Oh, put that away. We don't want to see it. And this is horrible, and particularly now that Joe Biden Kamala Harris let something like eight to ten million legal aliens into this country. We don't want any of them voting. And we've had elections that come down to ties. We've elections for people have gotten in with you know, one or two and three votes. You know people that left fle like say, oh there's no widespread front.

You can have a little bit of fraud with you know, three or five or ten people voting we shouldn't and you end up in instances like we saw in Virginia back about twenty fifteen sixteen thereabouts. One race came down to a tie, literal tie, and the decision was, Okay, here's a fishbowl with two plastic East eggs, and inside of each East dragg was a playing card, and the Republican reached in and grabbed one egg, the Democrat grabbed another. They opened him and the Republican had the high card, so he won the tied election. Because he won the tied election, the Republicans were able to take over one of the two houses in Virginia, and Democrat Governor Terry mccaulliffe then had to deal with a Democrat I think state Senate and a Republican state House member correctly, and the Republicans, by one vote, were able to slow down his program. Had the Democrat won, Terry mcauoff would have had total control of Virginia and they would have gone way, way, way, way left. So the point is even you know, with one fraudulent vote, if if one, one or two people fraudulently had voted for the Democrat, he would have won outright and the Democrats would have had full control of Virginia. Fortunately it came to a tie that didn't happen. So we have elections that they're huge, things are decided by one vote, two votes, by ties, and so we can't have the tolerance for vote fraud has to be zero. Oh it's not just oh five or ten, fifteen exactly, that's no.

36:03 The Democrats like, oh, it's not widespread. I don't like widespread fraud. I don't like neurow fraud. I don't limit a fraud. I want zero, absolutely no vote from this country. And that ought to be the objective. The Democrats are like, oh, it's okay as long as it's a little bit. No, it's like saying a little bit of cancer, Oh, just right, four or five, ten cancer cells, that's cool. No, because it grows becomes a big problem. So no, we want zero cancer cells. We want zero vote fraud. This country. Well, the American people have had it, you know, with vote fraud. Look what happened with twenty twenty. And you know, you still got sixty three, sixty six percent of the country saying that voter fraud happened in mass no doubt about it. And for the twenty twenty election, of course you got the media and everybody else going, oh, you can't believe that, you know, it didn't happen. But yet, you know, we pull back the curtain and we keep finding, you know, remnants and bodies and parts and pieces of voter fraud that is undeniable. But look at you know, it's like the you know what they say in all the prisons is the cons never give up the con.

Remind us of what we talked about in terms of, you know, the kind of voter fraud that that you've been able to expose, But yet the mainstream media goes, there's no voter fraud here. Correct. Yeah. I had a piece in the Daily Signal about three four weeks ago and looked at Fulton County, Georgia basically and a state centator there, took a look. You visited a number of sites. A home with nineteen quote unquote voters there. This was an abandoned house, overrun with ivy and weeds. I went on zillow and was able to find pictures of the inside. The toilet's broken, the plasters coming off the walls, the ceilings caving in. I mean, clearly nobody lives there, and yet nineteen people are registered vote there. You've got another place in downtown I think it's on Peachtree Street. I believe seventy five people are registered vote there. That was a homeless shelter which was closed down i'd believe in twenty seventeen, nine years ago.

42:49 So you've got people, multiple people registed these places that were just not. Habitable. I did another piece I think last year, we took a look at places in Nevada where people register to vote. They include an abandoned yoga studio, a strip club, a casino, the Harry Reid International Airport, and a vacant lot which is nothing but gravel, I mean literal vacant lot with a fence around it, nothing but gravel and dirt, and people are registered to vote there. I mean, this is insanity, and so we need to go through the voter rolls. And if people are voting legitimate and they've got pulses and blood pressure, great, keep voting. If it's an open lot with nothing but dirt and gravel as I saw, and I've got photos in these pieces in Las Vegas and in Reno, abandoned homes in Virginia, no, rather Georgia.

43:37 People register to vote in an auto parts company in Wisconsin. I mean, this goes on and on and on, and this is not funny, it's not cute. It's deadly serious. And the Save America Act would require states to go through their voter rolls, clean them up, and also, among other things, make sure they're no foreign citizens. Register to vote, you show your photo ID, just like you do at the airport, at the bank, to check in o hotel, to buy alcohol. You got to prove your citizen, which means either you have a passport or you get your birth certificate. You can get your persertificates online through an efficult vital check, among others. Forty five states can do that. There are five states that don't participate, but you can go on their own individual state websites and order your persertificate online. It will be delivered your home by mail or by UPS or FedEx if you wish, and you can use that. If you're a new voter you want to register. If you're already registered, vote, then just keep voting.

The Same America Act is vital, and if we don't get our elections under control, we're going to continue to have people the Democrats, steal elections and have all kinds of crazy far left cultural Marxist elected into offices all across the country, including I'm afraid of the White House, and well, things will get very very ugly for our country. Indeed, Yeah, what's worse is you nullify the consent to the govern and we the people no longer have a voice. Our vote has been quiet, and this is again it begs the question. You know, people ask me and go bill. Why why are the Democrats so far, you know, so against this when their own constituents, you know, I mean, they're like sixty five seventy percent saying, yeah, we want voter ID. Why is it that the elected Democrats are kicking at the godes on this? And I said, well, why do you think?

Recent service showed eighty three percent of Americans want Voter I D, including seventy one percent of Democrats and ninety five percent of Republicans. I think the number four Independence is somewhere around eighty five eighty eight percent. I mean, enormous numbers. I can't think of an issue that has more bipartisan support. I mean, this country's sort of split down the middle on one issue after another, fifty to fifty four, forty nine percent against whatever it is. This is when we're overwhelmingly the Democrats are saying we want Voter I D when it comes to citizenship. Very high numbers also, you know, sixty eight seventy percent of Democrats, ninety three to ninety four percent of Republicans mid eighties for the independent. So the country's screaming for this. And my two mysteries. One is the Democrats keep fighting it. They keep fighting because they know this WI make it harder for them to steal elections. The bigger mystery is why we have four or five Republicans in the Senate saying, yeah, well, our base wants it overwhelmingly, the independents want and even if Democrats want it, but I don't know, we don't really feel like debating. Oh, you know, we want to fight this.

46:26 I have several Senators, including Tom Tillis of North Carolina. Well, we want to keep the mass mainland ballots. I mean, it's insane. I don't know what the why Republicans have any desire to do anything other than vote this thing on to President Trump's desk and get it signed. I mean, it'll make it easier for them to keep their win their seats, easier to keep the majority, easier for Republicans remain Senate chairman rather ranking members get yelled at by Democrats. You think the Republicans will be nanimous, but they're just the House Republicans push it all through unanimously. The Senate Democrats, most of the most Senate Republicans, most of them want it, but they're you know, five or six Rhina are sitting there, you know, fighting and dragging their feet and yawning and oh, I don't know. I don't push this thing. I mean, the Republican centator's got to do their jobs, do what they were elected to do, and get this thing passed and put on President Trump's desk asap. No excuses, no, no mucking around, no, no you sleeping in on their desks, and need to get on the setate floor and fight, fight, fight to get this thing passed and sign in the law.

Well, Deroy, I got to tell you my gut says that these Republicans have been bought, you know, to to defy common sense at this level. Uh. That's the only thing that explains it. There's got to be some ties there, uh, you know, monetary ties that have them voting this way. There's they only do that which advantages them. That's the elected class. And uh and that's what they do time and time again. I was just reading this AP report, you know, based on what you were saying earlier. This lends some added rereading us to it. It says voting by people who are not US citizens already is illegal in federal elections. This is what the left says and the mainstream media ap in this case. And he says, there's no indication it's happening anywhere in significant numbers.

Republican lawmakers at the federal and state levels are throwing their energy behind the issue, introducing legislation and fall ballot measures. The activity ensures the issue will remain at the forefront of voters' minds in the months ahead. And you know, Democrats are kicking against this deroy because they've built this infrastructure over the last couple of decades and they don't want you coming in and tearing down their sand castle, do they. No, they don't. And you know here's a significant number. One. Okay, if you vote Republican and somebody who is an illegal alien, or somebody who is a fell In, or somebody who is registering another state votes Democrat, or you're a Democrat and somebody happens about Republican who shouldn't, your ballot is canceled out by want to vote Okay. In this country, I always hear the slogan one man one vote. You'll count every vote. Every vote counts. Well, you know what, if you are a legit voter and one only one fraudulent ballot goes opposite the way you vote, guess what.

49:20 Your vote has been canceled. You might as well have stayed home and watch game shows rather than show up the polls on election day. Okay, so the significant number is one. If there's one fragict ballot there whatever that However, that fraudilet ballot votes the person voted opposite as one person's had that vote canceled. So I want to see you again, not oh, ten votes. Fraudulent votes are okay, or fifty it will be fine. No, the number is zero. We want zero fraudulent votes them zero. The number here is zero tolerance, not tolerance of fifteen or tolerance of twenty or tolerance of three. We want zero fraudulent votes. So this significant number stuff is garbage. You know, people, everybody across across the country should say, we want every ballot in there east to be a legitimate ballot cast by a citizen who was properly registered to vote in that particular precinct, and as a sentient, you know, living, breathing, human being in US exactly, vote Democrat, vote Republican, voting in kind of votever you want, but you've got to be a legitimate voter. And any other ballot which is not legitimate, cast by someone who's not a US citizen or under eighteen or live someplace else is illegitimate. And the tolerance for those ballots to be absolutely zero.

50:30 Yeah, and here you have these illegal immigrants that influence the structure of Congress. Deroy absolutely, I mean, this is less people forget. I mean, they're kind of This is why Gavin Newsom has been refuting. I mean, he had what they determined at one point that there were three million names on the voter rolls there in California that need to be taken off, and they stubbornly agreed to take off you know, half, you know, one point five. But yet there was no confirmation, you know, trust would verify, right, there was no verification that in fact, they did remove that one and a half million that they agreed to take off.

51:12 Well, that's that's a huge number. And you know, you're pointing in two things. One is, you know, you have election, You've got three million phony, blowny votes, and let's say, cut it down to one point five million. You have a lot of people who I know, when they were counting ballots all the way, you know, all the way Thanksgiving of twenty twenty four, trying to figure out exectly how many seats did the GOP win. There were a couple of races that came down to I don't know, one hundred votes, one hundred, twenty five hundred and fifty votes. Up here in New York State, a Klaudia Tenny won her race. They counted all the way to like December. She ended up winning by I think it was seventy five votes something like this. People have won won seats with two votes, three votes, five votes. I mentioned earlier somebody won a tie by picking up the high card out of a plastic easter egg. So yeah, these things get to huge. Things get decided, and you know, if you win a majority fraudulently, you know you can decide, Okay, we're going to redo the district lines. And so for ten years you have a complete redistrict done by people who shouldn't do it because somebody fraudulently got in there and gave exactly the Democrats or could be the Republicans, matter of majority, We're going to raise taxes, We're going to vote to go to war. I mean, huge decisions get made by lawmakers, and we want them to be there legitimately, so that yeah, we voted to raise taxes, we voted do this, vote to the other. But at least the people who decide who made these decisions did so because they were put there legitimately, not put their fraudulety.

52:37 And we can like or dislike those laws, but least got respect them because they were passed by people who deserve to be They're not people who were who were put in there through you know, illegal means. And so this is deadly serious stuff. And apportionment. You're saying three million votes were voters were registered. I mean if those people count as citizens, that would be the equivalent of I think approximately four or five US House seats. And so if California has four or five extra House seats which probably vote Democrat, it makes it that much easier for the Democrats to do what they want. And also that means four or five electoral votes, which make it that much easier for the Democrats to get back in. You know, if the road to two seventy involves I think, rather than fifty two seats in California, actually involves forty seven or forty eight. You got to go find those four or five seats elsewhere. If you can count us, what you're not going to get in the White House.

53:27 So we also know this is separate from the Save Act. We need to make sure that when we do reapportionment, we're only counting citizens. We're not counting illegal aliens or even legal people are here Legitimately, we need to count US citizens as the people who are in this country for purposes of reapportionment and the census and that kind of thing. And and the Curds have pulled out of Syria. We know their knee deep in Iraq. Now, a lot of Curds are there in uh in western Iraq. The Curds are a lot like Israel. They've been surrounded. They hate them and attack them from every direction. They've created this incredibly thriving semi autonomous region in northern Iraq and their knee deep in Iran right now. The one imperative I think you're gonna see is the Curds are going to be on board in that portion. But there's other things that could happen.

58:42 Let's stay with the Curds for just a minute for people to understand what makes the Curds so effective as a fighting force, Colonel, because you know, yeah, go ahead. Yeah, just about any time Islam becomes dominant, bad things happen. Turkey really thrived for a long long time. The Turkey was was was secular. They was mandated in there in their uh uh, in their constitution that Turkey would be secular. And they've recently stopped that. Islam became a sentiant and great harm was done in so many ways wherever we look at that. But the Kurds are strongly secular. They have female fighters. They're they're not you know, it's it's not about Allah's will listen, you keep hearing that, it's all as well, whatever happens. They just they don't care a lot. Yeah, right and uh. And so the Kurds are very secular. They have the female fighters there they uh Saladin was a Curd and uh and they have this great history of uh surrounded by people on every side attacking them. They've now got a semi autonomous region and and they're fighting to defend the Kurdish people everywhere.

Like I said, they're beloved by our forces, have been there in Iraq and uh and they're part of the equation, you know, one of the models that will be in the mind of our warfighters. How do you win a fight without American troops on the ground. Well, the exactly, that's my question. The model in their mind is the fall of the former Soviet Union. But also look at the fall of the former Yugoslavia. You know, we recently visited. My wife and I about a decade or so ago visited. We were in Serbia, We're in Croatia. Uh and former so said, look at how the former Yugoslavia just kind of collapsed internally and the very stable. Now we've we'ven have any problem since then. You know, we've got Croatia, we got Montenegro, we got Albania, We've got Serbia, and and what was uh so, the possibilities there in our warfighters mind. And and this this idea of of of the this uh this this it's breaking out into their semi autonomous regions. We saw the fall of the former Soviet Union, and I think this is going to be dominant on warfighter's mind. The idea of the lures Luristan the Lukastan as Zerostan Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan can double their size and their population simply by absorbing the Azerbaijani part

But regardless that that force, I've been saying for a while here that the people there in Iran are having their Patrick Henry moment, Jimmy liberty or give me death right, colonel.

He wrote his doctorate on a subject that nobody believed in and it was a total waste. And they've now chosen him because the Earth is being destroyed by some strange mechanism that's the sun. Excuse me, not the Earth. The Sun is being destroyed by a strange mechanism that's eating the Sun.

You make it sound inviting because I'm not necessarily one for science fiction, but this sounds interesting.

Yes, usually around two hundred million, that's the average Hollywood and then about sixty to one hundred million in marketing. And then as the days go on, my friend of mine did Doune three, so that's coming out as the same time, the same day as Avengers, so you know, get ready cannibalizing each other.

But what struck me at the er is a place where you mostly look at your watch and you're aware of children screaming, and you just want to get out of there. Right. Nobody wants to be in the er. But I had a moment of clarity. I think that I've spent plenty of time in the er with myself and my kids, and my siblings and my parents and everybody else. I thought, you know what, in some ways, the emergency room is the most honest place on earth. Everybody is desperate, Everybody is hurting.

But they're only there because they have a problem that they cannot solve and they need somebody else's help for right, And I thought, we spend most of our lives pretending we are competent. We're not pretending, I mean living as if we are competent. We're in control we're the masters of our own destiny. We've got it together. We're not hurting, we don't have tragedies or difficulties to deal with. We have social media filters to make us look better. We put our Hawaii vacations on Facebook, you know. But you go to the er and the facade is completely stripped away, and I'm like, this is the place that is the truth about humanity. Right. So anyway, I don't know if it was worth the cope and what I had to pay to get in and out, but but it was an interesting perspective.

1:40:42 I love that observation because you're exactly right, I mean, because there's there's no holds barre. I mean, you're there to find out what the problem is. Yeah, and you know, and look at it from a spiritual context, like you were saying earlier and suggesting is that you know, we're kind of going through life, you know, going through the motion thinking, Hey, you know, if I'm not in the er, I'm okay. I'm okay right right, and I have it under control myself, right right exactly. Well, and that's the big lie. That's a big lie, exactly. You know that you got it all under control until you, you find yourself in the er or whatever condition that may come up, and say, hey, look at uh you know, can we talk?

1:41:25 Yeah, exactly, And then all of a sudden you can have your entire life reframed. And and maybe it's in a good way. Maybe it's like, oh, yeah, you probably didn't need to come in for this, You're fine, and you you breathe a sigh of relief and you go home, or or maybe you find out, oh, you know what, this thing's okay, but we found this other problem that you need to be aware of, and all of a sudden, your whole perspective gets changed, right, and and you have to sort of grapple with with mortality, right, and just the reality that I'm not in control and I am desperately in need of not only physical help, but of a savior, right of salvation. So anyway, that's my reflection on the suffering of life this week, Bill.

Lend, is that is that reset with God and why we why we sacrifice, why we abstain, you know, why we we have consideration for the poor, which is high on God's listo by the way, exactly. I mean, he loves the poor, wants to make sure. The widows, the orphans, the vulnerable, exactly. And so here we are, and and we have this opportunity to pause, slow down in a moment and really consider these spiritual issues. Like you say, you know, in some cases people will have to deal with that question of mortality. Yeah, And and they're going, wait a minute, I wasn't ready for this. Well, I guess la, mortality is ready for you.

Yeah, But until you have that moment where you come face to face with it, it's an abstraction, right, It's just well, yeah, of course I'm going to die someday. And then you have a moment where you're like, well it might be sooner than you thought. And then you have to grapple with Okay, how am I living my life? What am I living for? What do I value? What am I investing in all of the big existential questions. And when we have a relationship with Jesus, we have a foundation to live purposefully out of that right and to live a life that's sacrificial, to live a life that's focused on others, that's focused on something bigger than just you know, the American dream. As good as it is, sometimes it gets a little self focused, right, I want the best stuff for me as opposed to what does God have for me? Right in terms of pouring my life out for the sake of other people.

1:44:10 Well, you know, here, as you mentioned the American dream, we're so blessed. I mean, we could have been born anywhere. We're born exactly, And what do we have to worry about compared to these other people almost in the country, is anything? You know? I mean for us, I mean we get a hangnail and we're in the fetal position. You know, come on, stop, let's get real here. But the deal is is when you get to that point where some people have gotten to that point to realize that it's not about me. It's as Jesus said, it's about serving. And when you serve, all those things that you were struggling to get suddenly either they don't matter as much at it at all, or maybe they come to you in such a way, but your ability to utilize those gifts and benefits are a whole lot different because of your heart of service.

1:45:02 Does that make sense, No totally. And you know, I think it's Paul who said I'm not going to remember the scripture reference. You know, He is comforted us so that we can be a comfort to others who are suffering. And I think when we have our perspective correct, God never wastes suffering and he enables us to endure things. I think, at least in part so that we have compassion for others and empathy, because frankly, if I never struggle or suffer, I don't ever have much compassion for anybody. I'm just focused on myself. Right, But when I go through something hard and I encounter somebody else going through something similar, it's like, oh, yeah, I remember that was hard.

1:45:48 I'm so sorry that you're going through that. Right. But the paradox is we find meaning in it, you know. Yeah, so well again we're reminded. You know, God is good. Yeah, you know, Jesus said He's the only one that's good. You know, in our hyperbolic language that is so elastic, and we keep making up words and extending meaning. Supposedly, it really comes down to the simplicity of God is good. Yes, yeah, that's exactly right, And he loves you speaking of which I wanted to kind of transition a little bit. Yeah, we talk about God and we're talking about this, and of course, you know, people are still kind of murmuring.

1:46:32 I guess a little bit about the oscars. Yeah, you know, I just keep wondering, I go, you know, so what so what? Right? You know? I think I told you about the music industry, and here I was in LA and around the entertainment industry. I knew all these people's names. I mean, I you know, the music everything else. You know, fast forward, you know, about twenty years from when I left Los Angeles, and it's like I don't recognize these people. I don't recognize the music, even the movies and that kind of deal. They try to tell me this is the best movie ever. I go, I didn't hear about it where vibe? You know? You know? Right, Well, we had Oscar viewership down nine percent from last year lois since twenty twenty two, and I guess seventeen point nine million people tuned in, which in a country of three hundred and thirty million people is not very many. And I think it's because Oscar continues to grow and Hollywood, I think continues to grow more and more culturally irrelevant, you know. And I think there are multiple reasons for that. I think we have fewer and fewer sort of big tent blockbuster movies that we all have a shared experience. And I think that unfortunately Hollywood's predilection for progressive preaching, it just turns people off. And the Best Picture winner this year one battle after another about a guy who was kind of a terrorist and now is trying to raise his daughter. It actually has some sweet moments in it, but it absolutely rakes, you know,

1:48:07 conservatives in the right wing over the coals. And I think if you are in that place politically, you're going to watch a little bit of this and just say, yeah, no, I don't peace out, peace out exactly. And and I think Hollywood is they don't learn very quickly that all this politics stuff. I don't care what you think about it. I don't go to a movie to have, you know, a sermon delivered. I just want to be entertained. Right exactly. I mean for the amount of money that we're paying. Well, you negotiate a movie and popcorn and you got kids with you and everything else, and you're thinking, wow, you know, yeah, I want I want to get entertained. And then let me let me clarify that I don't want to just be entertained. I don't. I actually appreciate movies that ask questions and make me think deeply. And I think that Ralph Winter, who is a producer, he did one of the Star Trek movie, Viasy, did some of the X Men movies. He's a Christian. He once said in an interview with Christianity Today, like thirty years ago, he said, movies are better at asking questions than answering them.

1:49:09 And so when we have a movie that tries to ram a message down our throats, if you happen to agree with that message, you might enjoy it, but if you're not on board with it, it's not a pleasant experience. And I think that that thing that he observed, that that movies are better at asking questions than answering them, I think that's right. And so that's why we respond that way to those kinds of movies. Well, you're exactly right, because it polarizes people otherwise, and and and of all people, I mean you think that they know better. I mean, look at their their you know their track record on political views. I mean it's like, oh man, you guys are in the minority time and again and you're just trying to force this down our throats. Sorry, we'll pass, and no apology. After you get the you know, the truth out and find out that you know COVID was a lie and all the promotion, you know, oh, you've got to get masked and you've got to get vaccinated and everything else. You know, I don't hear anything from all.

1:50:09 You know, some of that I think is cured. Take a road trip, like when was the last time you actually drove across the country and you just stop to sort of notice what you see on the way. Who are the people you see at gas stations, who are the people you meet at the hotels? What do you notice driving through New Mexico? Well, I noticed there are a lot of people living in you know, in trailers, right, I see the poverty. I don't mean to pick on New Mexico, and I mean just if you open your eyes, you realize there's an entire world out there that your position of privilege and enclave and being in your mansion in Beverly Hills with a wall around you while pretending like none of these political issues are. I don't know, it's just you know what I'm saying.

So again, I'm not trying to cast dispersion on people and trailers, but I think when I drive across the country, I get a little tiny glimpse of America and it's really healthy, right. Well, especially at the ground floor level, like you're suggesting, no doubt about it, and you know it makes you to me, it makes me love this country all the more. Yes, you know, the tapestry of culture, the mixed culture, everything that the United States under our constitution and this great American idea and a blessing from God himself.

And it's not about me. It's about the entire story for all of these people. And that's humbling to me. Bill.
