Well, good morning America. Glad you could join us. Bill Martinez here with Mike O one on, the assistant General counsel at Landmark Legal. Hey, Michael, good morning to you. Good morning Bill. Good to be with you. Well, always good to catch up. And of course we're still chasing down the say back don yeah. Right now currently debating being under debate and consideration in the United States Senate. So they're they're taking it on now. A couple interesting things. It's not it's kind of this middling ground, right it wasn't. It hasn't been pulled for a cloture vote, so that means it's still open for debating consideration. But it doesn't look like there's a full talking filibuster, if you will. Right now, it looks like it's just the sole focus of the Senate. It's on their agenda. They're debating it. You're seeing senators standing in the well of the Senate end it and attacking it.

1:02 That's good. But again, I here's a butt. There's still the possibility or the probability that at some point the leader Thune is going to call for a cloture vote, which of course there's not, which would require sixty votes to end the debate and then move to a majority vote for it for the bill. Obviously, I don't think right now there's sixty votes for this. So if that happens, that would again take the debate and consideration off the floor of the Senate. Wouldn't absolutely kill the bill, but it would move it off and the Senate would move on to other things. And so that would certainly be demoralizing. But as of right now, they're debating it and considering it and talking about it. Let's see what happens. Why are the Democrats fighting over this as if it's life and death.

1:44 Michael, Well, honestly, I think it is life and death for them in a lot of ways. I think when I mean, you have to say, when you see states that have removed any reasonable protections on their voter role, for their voting system, those become inevitably become these one party states California, Oregon. Look at these states that have no no citizenship verification, no effort to ensure that their voter roles are clean, no identification, no communication between state agencies that a state agency like a state DMV that might have information about the citizenship status of individuals and state election officials who have lists of voters, no cross referencing, there, no communications, and I believe they become one party dominant Democrat states. So I got to think that the Democrats are wedded. Then They've been wedded to this for years now, to not having any reasonable protections on their on the on the voting systems. They just think that obligating somebody to show voter identification is akin to Jim Crow two point zero. And you know, let let that stand on its own for the reasonableness of that argument, which of course is completely ridiculous. But they are wedded to not having any protections on the voting systems and having really chaos, and I think they thrive in that chaos.

2:57 Frankly, well, it would seem that the America people are kind of getting it when you know, you're seeing pulling seventy eighty percent, you know, approve of voter ID And so are there any other elements within this, say AAC because the President has added to kind of addendums, you know, one is a boys playing in girl sports. And also the trans issue tying it to it is that is that getting in the way. I don't think it's necessarily getting in the way. I think I think the issue, it seems, again, if you want to embrace the lunacy of the Democrats arguments on this, the one that they always are harping on is the citizenship verification when you register to vote. Now, they seem to think that they're scaring people with the statement that you know, you can't you need a passport to establish your citizenship, or you need a birth certificate, and that's untenable or unreasonable burden on some people. If you're older, getting a birth certificate might be difficult for you, et cetera, et cetera. I mean that could be refuted, and that's actually being refuted right now in the fact that the bill gives authority to states to allow other methodologies or other methods for proving your citizenship. It also allows people to complete an affidavit attesting to your citizenship when you register to vote, and then having the state verify that you're a citizen based on that affidavit. So there is there is there, There actually is, and there is a way to address that that one argument that the Democrats seem so focused on. That being said, I think the debate right now gives gives a window for some horse trading.

4:29 Now I don't really see anybody talking about this, but as I understand the way the process of the Senate's going on is there's be there could be some negotiations that are going on behind the scenes. So John Fetterman, for example, had said earlier, now he voted against he's he's against a lot of the provisions of it, but he isn't in favor of the UH identification provision. So possible, and again this is me just hypothesizing on this. If some sort of bill can come out of the Senate where we have several of those elements, you know, maybe a citizen voter ID, which again we know that nine five percent of Americans augree with across the democratic spectrum, Democrats, Republicans, black, white, Hispanics all believe that you should show identification. If that can come out of the Senate. If a burden, if placing an affirmative obligation on state election officials to verify citizenship.

5:15 In other words, just again, if you're if you're in charge of determining whether somebody is dead or moved off the moved out of your state. Also put in another requirement whether they're a citizen of the United State of the United States. If that some sort of provision can come out, I think that would be a good thing. So at this point, obviously I want to see the Save Act as it's presented in TOTO coming out. But if we can get certain provisions through the Senate that we can get maybe fifty five or sixty people can come through on I'm for that as well. But who's accountable? You just touched on something that's critical, Okay, so you passed the law and then you get these different you know, Secretary of States that have their own opinion not to mention some local judges, right, So it would accountable.

5:57 I think if you could have and I think this is in the I think this is a process right now. There is a private cause of action that groups like for example, Landmark Legal Foundation could actually sue a state of say we wanted to sue Virginia or Pennsylvania and say that Pennsylvania isn't taking the necessary steps to remove dead people and people who've moved out of their the state, they're not doing it, they're not doing enough of a job to this, and you can reach an agreement you have a private cause of action. If you had a private cause of action that would allow private citizens to sue their state, that would really increase accountability. So if I wanted to sue, for example, California and saying California isn't taking the necessary steps to remove non citizens from their voter rules, that would increase the accountability there and the pressure on those states to actually do something. Again, the best you can do is have some sort of federal obligation there which would allow which would again allow an avenue for some sort of accountability. Now, again, nothing's going to be perfect, and we always know that certain election officials in a lot of these states are always going to drag their feet. But if you put a little more pressure on them from a federal obligation standpoint, I think you're going to have some more accountability in the process.

7:03 Don't you think that this, you know, this say Act undermines a structure that the Democrats have worked on for decades. Yeah, right, yeah, of course absolutely, And I think that that's that's been one of their long term plans. If you look at the process that plays out throughout the country, and I always call them the laboratory states. Right in California, for example, is when you systemically remove any protections on the election system. And what does that mean, Well, that means instituting widespread mail voting, right because you know, if you have why if you mail every a ballot to every name, to the name of every person on the voter roll, that means you're going to have ballots flooding through the state, right exactly, no no effort to verify whether they're dead, they moved out of the state, whether they're still their good address, any of that. You're going to have ballots floating around. That means, you know, if you have the foot soldiers and the wherewithal, you could orchestrate all kinds of all kinds.

7:55 Of issues as yeah, exactly, yeah, because the deal is is that you don't you lose uh, as you would say in the legal term, Michael, you know, control of the product, right, and then there's a better word, what do you call it? A chain of custody. Chain of custody, that's what you're talking about, right, Yeah. And just as as as to extrapolate on that point I was just making is it's not just instituting male balloting. It's also you know, having agencies don't talk to each other. It's also removing identification for for when you vote, you and you don't even have to show who you are. It's it's removing signature verification on mail ballots. In other words, not having anybody check the signature that your signature as you sign your ABS and your mail ballot envelope, whether that signature matches the signature that the Registrar of Voters has on file for There's all kinds of ways that you can you can game the system to increase the likelihood that, you know, bad actions occur, and it's just it's a systemic method to do this. And I I've always held that one of the endgame here is removing the citizenship requirement. Right, Democrats want open voting up to anybody who happens to be present in the United States, no citizenship requirement. They don't talk about that one because right now.

What the Democrats have done over the decades. This is not has been in the last couple of years. This has been going on and on for a long time, and they have resisted anything that would comport or bring any credence whatsoever to a legitimate process. They wanted to be fluid so that they can even in spite of Jimmy Carter himself, may he rest in peace, who did a study on mail in balloting and what would happen, how that would exacerbate voting fraud and ballot stuffing? You know, so it was pretty conclusive. I mean it wasn't you know some well maybe ten percent of a I mean, this, this was clear. This is gonna be a huge problem, right.

14:38 Right, Carter Baker Commission, Yeah, exactly. A few research foundations did this decades ago that found that, of course the mail ballot male voting system is open to all kinds of malfeasons. And again just week, it's been hours talking about the problems with mal balloting. Unfortunately, you know, the Democrats recognized the opportunity that COVID presented and didn't let an emergency go to didn't go to waste, and we're able to scare people into thinking that mail balloting should be the rule rather than the exception. Obviously, I'm a proponent of in person voting and also paper balloting too. This electronic I'm mult school. I want one day everybody takes a day off, one day voting.

15:19 Or a holiday. As I said before, I'm all for it. Make it a national holiday for it, and then make it a national holiday. Allow a lot of people the freedom to come in and vote in person. I would even. Again, being gracious in this, I'm even for allowing early voting. If you want to show up in person to vote at your Registrar of voters, you know, then then possibly that. But again I would like to see one day mail ballots, paper ballots, in person voting with identification. That's the way to ensure that it's secure. And also, let me raise one important point here is why it's important to enact the Save Act and get provisions of the Save Act through Congress and on the President's desk. Is it would you restore faith in the integrity of the system. How many of your visitors have lost faith that their vote matters, that their vote counts.

16:03 Look at the number of people that are voting not voting, Michael, Yeah. And it's incredibly frustrating. I said this over and over again. Really, the top three issues why Republicans are in power right now is economy, immigration, and election integrity. Those were the top Those are the top three issues why Republicans control the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the presidency. Quite frankly, and so to not see what to not see the Senate, particularly on an issue that's incredibly popular and important, take a necessary action to restore integrity in the electoral system is incredibly demoralizing to our folks, and I think obviously would have reverberations into November. Well, I would add a fourth leg to that, and that is that the people said, Okay, I'll trust you, I'm going to come out and vote. We had record numbers of people voting in twenty twenty four because they said, all right, not that we think it's all cleaned up, but if we're going to get it cleaned up, it's going to be Donald Trump. It's going to be the Republicans because they seem to want to be earnest about it.

17:04 But what's being played out here right now in front of everybody's eyes, is for them to realize how tough of a battle this is. You know, they think, hey, this is a no brainer, no problem. Hey, like you and I said, you know, if I was setting up a system, I'd say one day, and I'd have it one day. Regardless, I wouldn't do early voting because what happens with early voting is people aren't necessarily set up for it as they are when it's one day. When it's one day, everybody is focused on, hey, let's get the ballots through, Let's get them counted up. You know, all hands on deck to deal with this one issue. If I'm doing it a couple of days early, it is going, well, who's handling that desk? Well, Mary Jane, Well, Mary Jane's out for coffee. Well we got people here to vote. Who's going to handle this? You know, it gets a little scurely there. So that's why I'm saying.

17:48 You know, for me, it's about you know, increasing the numbers of people, giving them the confidence. As you said, and there was some studies done for other countries who when they tightened up things. Michael, maybe you were the one that told me this that there was a big difference, a big change, a sea change, when they brought integrity to voting. You know, it brought more people to the polls, more people voted when they had confidence to your exact point with the system, right. Right, Yeah, I mean I think that's that's important. Understanding belief that your vote counts is imperative to ensuring are the preservation of our representative democracy, right, And the necessity to understand that you can effectuate change via the ballot box is the hallmark of our country. And if you lose faith in that, and I wish I could get through to some of the Republicans in the Senate. They're talking about, oh, preserving the filibusteria, blah blah blah, all this stuff, and it's saying, look, you are you're undermining one of the foundational aspects of our democracy, of our republic, and that is faith in the electoral system. If you have large swaths of our populace that doesn't have faith in the electoral system, that's a really really that's a foundational problem. So we again as it sounds. Right now, the Republicans in the Senate are debating this. This is up for debate and consideration. Where it goes, we really don't know right now. I would like to see this process play out as long as possible. Make the Democrats, make the opponents of this express how they oppose voter

19:20 identification to vote, make them dig themselves, in other words, rhetorical holes as much as they want, but ultimately try to ensure that this process is elongated to the process where we can say this is a talking filibus here and we don't have to have this cloture zombie philibuster invocation. I don't know if that's going to happen, Possibly could happen. I want to see some version of some sort of election integrity get through the Senate. We need to see this happen, obviously in the way it's presented right now, would be ideal, If not ideal, at least some of these provisions go through the Senate in a vote and get to get to the President's desk. Do you think John Thune has the intentional fortitude of champion this.

20:01 I don't know. I think it's a good question. I think he's I think he's hearing things. I mean, I think he's listening to people, which is a good thing because I think if you'd asked me days ago that he was going to go right to put this on the floor, give it a few hours, and then go for a culture vote motion, and he's not doing that right now. Right now, as we say, it's open ended, the debate's happening, So he's certainly moved off of this. And I think weeks ago, you know, you saw Mitch McConnell actually voted in favor of putting this on the floor. He voted YA to open debate consideration. So you've been you're seeing some movement on these senators. And I think that that's important to understand is that we can we still have influence, the people have influence on this, that these senators you've. Got to keep calling. You got to call your senators right exactly what we've been saying.

20:45 I think right now, it's an unknown. I mean, it's an it's a it's a known unknown. If as Donald Rumsteld would say that that this is happening right now in real time, what's welcoming is the fact that this isn't some bill that they know is going to fail or not fail. They're putting it out there for debate, and I think some experts on the Senate procedures who have better knowledge of the history of it and are more akin to this than I am, have said this is the first time in years that actually some piece of legislation has gotten to the floor of the Senate that they don't know what's going to happen. Right, that's not a foregone conclusion. Whether we have sixty votes or short of it, we don't really know where we're going with this, which is great, Right, This is what we want to see. We want to see people fighting for this. We want to see a debate happening. We want to see the political process play out in real time as it was envisioned by our framers. By the way, this is what we want to see. We want to see actual debate in the House, in the Senate, in Congress fighting for this issue that's incredibly popular for the United States.

21:37 Let the Democrats have their political you know, have their political accountability opposing something that ninety percent of Americans agree on. Yeah, but that ninety percent, And even get on the phone, Michael, you know that, Yeah, And I think they are. I agree, I certainly agree with you that I think people are hearing this. You know, remember remember days ago Thune had had said that throwaway line, something to the effect that this was an issue for you know, influenced peddlers or on x Well. I think he's changed his tune on that, on that statement. So this is again, as I say, this is something that is incredibly important to the individuals, to the voters who put Republicans into power. This is again top three issue. Make no mistake, folks, folks that are that voted Republican are in favor of this.

22:19 This is passionate, this is motivating them. Keep going on it. Let's see this through. Because the American people are fair minded, Michael. They want a level playing field. And it's like I was talking with Jenny Beth Martin yesterday with a Tea Party Patriots Action. She said, look it, you know, if we lose, the chips fall where they fall. As long as it's free and fair, Hey, it is that That's just the way it is. But we just want a free and fair election so that we can have confidence in the people that are going to represent us that they're doing so based on our vote and not based on some rigged system that they've manufactured for themselves. Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about before with faith and she she in voiced voice, I said, perfectly, you need to have faith in the integrity of the electoral system. Once that, we're all conservatives believe in the system. Right, If the system's fair, and we believe it's fair, and we had our shot and we lost, well accept the loss.

23:14 You take the l. The refs called balls and strike, the umps called balls and strikes. Okay, we'll take the l. We went out there, we fought the good fight, fair, you know. So be it. But if the system again is rigged and you have no chance at the outset, or if you win by fifteen hundred votes, you know, at the close of the election day and somehow sixteen hundred votes in favor of your opponent magically appear four or five days later, Right, where does that leave us? Right? If you believe that you can't effectuate change via the ballot box, that is foundational and existentially critical for our country, bad things happen. I mean, the joke in Chicago is that Saint Patrick stays the day. Everyone verage. So you see you Chinese guys in Chinatown with the green hat on the big shamrock on their heads and so on. So hopefully, hopefully everyone has fun. I mean we both talked about it's, you know, a businessman over like thirty. You got a lot of stuff to do, but you can hear him outside. Like I'm a little bit of smaller city, but I'm close to the downtown.

Uh, you know, we've got to talk about what's going on with Iran and the terror attacks. I mean, since since Iran, we've had four obvious terror attacks that the media doesn't know how to handle. They don't know how to present it. But we said, I think you and I even talked about it that you know, immediately people needed to keep their heads on a swibble just to you know, be aware of what's going on because we don't know, you know, how many ices inspired individuals are here in our country, the open border, all the other stuff. And you know, the radical Muslims have made it clear that they want to get rid of America and Americans in Israel all in one fell swoop. That would make their day.

30:01 Yeah, I mean, it's tough to know what exactly is going on. Obviously, there's a correlation between our war with an Islamic country and increase surges of terrorism, and anyone who denies that as an idiot. I mean, if I were a Muslim general, I would have sleeper cells ready in these western countries, especially western countries that have allowed in high levels of Muslim imigration. And I mean, I frankly think that's what we've seen. I mean, in New York, you saw the two guys who literally showed up with the bomb from Looney Tunes. I mean, they had the bomb with the wick on it, smoldering, and they'd apparently made a fairly sophisticated package with nails at ball bearings. And I mean, I'm not going to explain how to do it, but anyone who's got military background knows how simple it is to make an explosive. I mean, you put a core of whatever in there and then you surround it, then you throw it. Fortunately, these guys weren't exactly engineers, although one is an engineering student, I think.

I mean, I actually I don't know him, but I'm familiar from Twitter with the guy who was kind of jumped over, and you saw him this astonishing picture where you have one guy who's, in my opinion, an idiot, but who's a nice guy, well spoken, upper middle class, and he's there at his blazer and he's got his megaphone and he's saying like, we welcome everyone in America. And then another guy uses him as a footrest to throw a bomb, so you see him over his back baseball pitching this thing. Unfortunately, it's a windy day, so the device goes out as it's in the air. But I mean you're going to see some of that when we fight the larger Islamic States.

31:42 The bigger worry actually is that these aren't members of sleeper cells. They don't have a father who is in the IRGC or something. These are just people who ally with the enemy, and that that's going to become more common as we have more people here from kind of great rival states China, Iran and so on, and a lot of those people those two groups last sentence, but are very successful in America. So it's it's very easy on the right to be like, well, get them all out. The better question is how do you can you vet in immigration so that you get the people that are actually Chinese Christians or whatever that are fleeing that environment, and you don't get people that are going to be very easy to radicalize here because I don't think a lot of those people are part of formal networks. I think there are people that are just very inclined to dislike the USA. And today you can get Al Jazeera on your computer, so if you hear all this content we are the Great Satan, you might decide, well, I'm gonna go down into the Dad's lab and I'm gonna put this thing together and I'm gonna get on the train to Penn Station. That's going to take an hour.

32:48 So you're going to see those attacks. I mean, just law enforcement's gonna have to be vigilant. And one thing you find is that they don't kill a lot of people. That sucks, they have to think of it that way, but it's it's not going to stop a victorious war against Persia that four or five people are injured in these kinds of attacks. But it's definitely when you're in a high tense situation where they're international tensions and the response has been at this level of domestic tension. Yeah, you do walk around a little more carefully than you otherwise would. Well, you know, it's interesting how America has reacted, you know, in World War Two, after the bombing of Pro Harbor, you know, our government said, hey, all Japanese, we're going to set you aside and you know, put you in camps and you know, to protect our national security. And so we've gone from that to where God only knows where we are right now. I mean, we've got sanctuary cities, we have policies law enforcement or no law enforcement that seems to promote more danger than security.

33:51 Will Yeah, I mean, I think the standard view in political science is that incarcerating the Japanese was an over reaction, obviously, but I mean it's also like when that's presented as canonical evil, that's not correct. The reality with World War Two and with the Cold War was that there was a great deal of opposition to the USA internally. I mean, in one of my books, Lies, my liberal teacher told me. I'm not I'm not going to do a full plug here, but I actually talk do a full plug. Go ahead. It's a great available at Amazon. But now a Lies, my liberal teacher told me, is my most recent book. And I provide a short, but I think fairly comprehensive list of these were some of the Russian agents in the country. Algrass, all these people were completely guilty. It was the same thing with the Japanese and German communities during World War Two, and we didn't incarcerate the Germans who were I don't know a better way to say, as normal looking white guys. Like you couldn't round people up and ask them if they were German. I mean your last name is Beetlebacher, is it and put these cuffs on. But I mean we shut down the German language dailies. I mean we took pretty harsh action Italy. I mean this goes back to Saco and Vanzetti. There was extreme discrimination against Italians. Part of the reason for that was that there was anarchist and pro home country sentiment in those communities. There was a split between the Essay and Nisse and the Japanese community in terms of whether they were more pro America or more pro Japan.

35:45 In both cases there was a slant toward the USA, but the attitudes diverged radically. So we've kind of gone from one extreme, which is like we're gonna shut down your newspaper, we're gonna take your ethnic group, and you're gonna be living in this city for the duration of this over to the other extreme, which is, you know, after nine to eleven, George Bush's second speech after the famous they were going to hear from all of us was focused on is Lamophobia. Yes, so there's now this idea of the most important thing in these tent situations is preventing people from feeling any sense of discrimination. You know, I think if you're a poor white guy, you're a black guy or whatever, your Hispanic businessman, you're somebody's gonna deal with prejudice in your life. I don't think that that is the most important element of fighting terroristm There obviously are reasons that if you're a young, working, middle class Muslim male, you're gonna be searched on an airplane before an older lady in an air mas hat. I mean, so it's just we seem to have moved very far away from that. We should probably slant a little back, cowarded, but that doesn't seem to be the move. I mean, even Trump's officials aren't really proposing that they're sparring with the sanctuary city people. But we're still hearing of the norm MacDonald. Wouldn't it be a pity if a Muslim country launched a successful strike against the USA, because then you'd see so much prejudice against peaceful Muslims you know, it's that's another thing that makes the crime fighting picture more complicated.

37:13 I would say, well, and especially you know with the you know, the growth of you know, Muslim communities within the United States, the number of moss in the last five years, they've become so prolific. Will you know, are these warning signs and in light of what's happening Iran and still you know, the jihadist call to get rid of America. I mean I think so to some extent. Now, again, there are two things here that make this kind of complicated. It's like when female vice squad detectives say, not all men, right, right, you know, the the ninety five percent majority of guys or protectors and servers, like almost all their colleagues as a cop are going to be guys. Same time, you know, you're the people that are patronizing prostitutes are almost all outs.

He keeps seeing these married men at brothels, right, So, I mean it's a joke in that component of the force. And of course this book that we mentioned earlier lies my liberal teachers taught me, which is still very robust, and you need to get your hands on it if you haven't, and you might be quite I guess maybe quite relieved to realize that, Hey, guess what, your liberal teachers taught you the same stuff, and maybe you can and get some clearer thinking and understanding of what's going on. Well, will, as we were saying, you know, there are dangers abounding, and it's amazing to me, where we are post nine to eleven, As you said, I mean, only took nineteen guys to create all kinds of havoc. And you know, and here we got I don't know how many you could say, one, hundreds of thousands maybe of people that do not want you know, they don't want America to do well. And you've got this antithical, philosophical, you know, mindset that continues to grow even within our country, which is very anti American. And you know you and I've talked about this before. Is that to me, the divide isn't about the Republican or Democrats.

43:45 The divide is more are you pro American or you're anti American? Yeah, I mean, so there's a lot going on there. First of all, in terms of nine to eleven. Yeah, it's the advantage of asymmetric warfare is that it doesn't take a lot of people to do a lot of harm. So when it comes to symmetric warfare, you know, our tanks against their tanks. The USA is military is the best in the world. I mean, the Russians or the Chinese could may be challenged, but they would lose the war. The Europeans, they might be as good pound for pound, but they don't have a lot of pounds. They don't spend a lot of on defense. They're behind our defense umbrella. Yes so Israel, but I mean anyway, like so that's a reality. We could easily win the first part of a war with Persia. We can break their army back into the Zagros Mountains and so on. The question is how do you deal with these asymmetric threats. So on nine to eleven, I mean, people from Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia who'd done some pretty high level training with al Qaeda just got on a plane, took the plane and flew it into a building. I think if you tried that with Americans or even Europeans, now the passengers might overpower you. But in the one and three chance they didn't, I mean, yeah, that's that's a consistent risk, like a building could still be taken down. Something like that can happen.

44:57 The weirder thing of nine to eleven, because we all know about asymmetrics, is what you just said, which is that after nine to eleven, we decided to increase the pace of Muslim immigration. And I think that's something that nobody predicted, even Bush when he warned against open prejudice, didn't really predict that happening. So of the US Muslim population, which is four or five million people, I believe almost all entered post nine to eleven. I think we had three hundred and ten thousand religiously practicing Muslims at the time of nine to eleven. So yeah, obviously there are going to be risks that come along with that, Like there's radicalization in every community. So Chinese people are more likely to be Chinese spies. The image of a spy in the media is always some dorky white guy in MIT with a flash drive full of hacker information and like the nineteen nineties computer guy outfit black hoody. But that's not reality. I mean, the reality is that a spy is very likely to be an attractive, personable guy from that country who's recruited by the intelligence service of that countries, Like it Israeli spi. It is gonna be a upper middlelass Jewish dude. Yeah, Chinese, Chinese.

46:06 Yeah, the Chinese spy didn't send an ugly woman to go and you know have fun with swallwell, did they? Yeah? The fang fang thing. Yeah, No, the Chinese are known for honey potting. I mean, people are not unattracted to good looking Asian women, So I mean I would assume there's a lot of honey potting going on in the San Francisco where you see these these tech guys with Yeah, I don't mean to be crowded with nine out of ten wives and cocktail dresses. I mean, some of that's probably true love, some of it's probably pursuit of money. Some of it's probably pursuit of the national interests of the People's Republic or the Republic of Vietnam or whatever. But in the Muslim community, though, it's it's a little less funny. I mean, the radicalization that you see there tends to be religiously inspired terrorism, So definitely, I mean, I think we do need One thing the FBI should do, if they're not already doing it, is keep an eye on mosques and see what's being said during the daily sermon. I mean there's probably an element of teacher gramma to suck eggs to that. I'm sure old federal agents tell that. But I watched some of these sermons online, and I'm a political science professor. I speak some Spanish, I speak a little bit of Arabic, and people are openly saying things. One that was released recently defended sexual abuse in war. Like the idea is you can take people as old school battle captives like knights of every race used to in thirteen hundred and sexually abuse them. And it's it's such a weird medieval thing to hear someone say, you know, it kind of goes along with armor and a horse, but that's still that's been a belief in much of the world. Women are secondary citizens. You can abuse them in battle because

47:37 they're not fighters themselves. So if someone's saying that at the local mosque, I mean you need to shut down the mosque. Probably are we keeping a practical eye on this kind of radicalization in the Islamic community, You know, I don't think we are. Like if you go down to Texas to do some business, there's a one hundred foot tall statue of the monkey god Hanaman from I believe the Hindu pantheon by the highway. So if we're if we can't figure out some kind of technical way to keep that off public property. I don't really think we have every religious service in the country under effective scrutiny, and so that's a risk. All, like you said, all it takes is two guys with bombs, and you have the Boston Marathon bombing. You have one hundred people in the hospital with frattnel through their shoulders, one eye gone, so on. So I don't want to panic people. Let's something to keep an eye on.

48:25 Well, you know, I was talking with another guy here recently and he you know, and he opened my eyes to you know, here we are so focused about Iran not going nuclear, having a nuclear bomb, But yet look what's happening with this migration of Muslims in the area. I mean, the United Kingdom for example, back in twenty ten had just under three million Muslims. It's projected by twenty thirty their growth will be ninety four percent to five and a half million. And we already see what's happening policy wise in the United Kingdom. And I hadn't thought about this, he asked me, He says, Bill, He says, what country do you think if the Muslims took over that they would have access to a nuclear bomb? Which country do you think in the next five years is more vulnerable than all other countries? And I had thought.

49:20 My first reaction was, you know, maybe China, maybe even here in America. But and he goes, no, England, and I go, whoa, you know, you're probably right. So here we are. We're worried and focused about what's happening in Iran, and we should, there's no question. But you've got all these these aren't even sleeper cells. You just got cells going out throughout the entire globe that if they took over a country that has a nuclear bomb, they don't need to build one. Yeah, I mean, and again there's it's weird because it's sort of the not all mend thing. I mean, like, so Britain has this well known hip hop co clture.

50:00 Probably ninety percent of British Muslims are urban guys who do things like run kebab shops. They're well known for having like red headed white girlfriends and being part of like the rap scene. But the ten percent a lot of people. If you have six million people, especially if you adjust for the fact that someone who wants to be a foreign agent is more likely to pursue certain careers. Who are you going to see going into academia sensitive areas of the military, Stone it's probably not the kebab shop owner dating Jenny down the block. So yeah, somebody to keep an eye on. There are a couple of I mean the basic point there. There's a book called something like Biowarfare, and I actually don't like the title because I think it'd be very easy to weaponize into just open racism, like what are the Appalachians doing? What are the Blacks doing? But like, the basic idea is that one way to wage warfare and get control over national population centers is just to have your people move there in large numbers. So like, settler colonialism is a term that sometimes used. I don't like this one either.

51:03 I have a bunch of professional critiques in this language. This is one from the left. But settler colonialism would be when mostly western white countries invade Third world states takeover. You're in charge now. There's also obviously a pattern of reverse revenge migration, like countries like India have said this, where you send lots of young fighting men into what you consider vulnerable countries and all of a sudden, you're twenty five percent of the population. You're still getting money sent back home from that country, and you're now influencing the population of that country. And if that relationship is like American snowbirds and Canada Mexican workers in the USA, like, okay, that's a brother relationship. Like you still have to send people home every so often, get the buses out, but there's not really any idea of war will come for that.

51:47 But what if the country doing that is Persian. What if the country doing that is I mean, and they're friends sort of but Indian. When you suddenly see like, I'll hit you with one back. Since you gave that crazy set about Muslims in Britain, which is true, by the way, it's absolutely accurate. There are more Muslims in Britain now than there are Irish people, like speakers of the actual Gaelic language, or five point seven million Muslims or something four million Gales like Celtic Britains. But in Canada, they've allowed so much migration from powerful countries like India, China and Taiwan that I think thirty three percent of the population right now is foreign born, and that's had an enormous impact. So, I mean, it's awkward to talk in racial terms, but Canada used to be almost one hundred percent white, but the natives spot well enough, but there aren't many of them up there. Now it's seventy sixty.

52:36 I mean, I'd have to look at the numbers. You know, it used to be virtually one hundred percent Christian. Now it would be maybe eighty. A lot of Chinese are But you've had this enormous impact in a very short period of time, and the question is what do you do. The two real options to me would be one rebigration, like a government says at some point, look, we're give everybody five thousand bucks, which you got to go back home. But if once you get the second third generation, once you get people to serve in the Canadian army, that's not possible. So the second thing you'd have to do would be actual brutal assimilation, which we don't like anymore, but you got to do it and combine that with shutting these borders for a while. Because you understand that the leaders of large developing countries Nigeria is another country, or this has been openly discussed, and lectures that I've listened to are saying, well, why don't we send our young warriors to these rival countries to learn and then either activate them or bring them back. But again, Nigeria is not an enemy. But it's not not our job to provide military education for the Nigeria. The leadership like this has to either be discussed honestly or people have to get on the plane and get out of the country.

53:44 I think that would be my opinion. Yeah, And unfortunately what happens is that when something like that goes on, follow the money, watch how the money supports, you know, that kind of change in demography, and you get people that are happy to grift on it. And unfortunately too many are involved in our government. Yeah, we have got to be mindful of all areas and influences that are dictating these cultural changes here in America and other countries. You know. Again, you know, like you and I growing up watching the spaghetti Westerns. You know, it's like you could tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. You know, are you friend or foe?

54:25 You know? And we're not asking that question anymore. Yep, if I can, okay, because I wondered if we had some time left, if I'd say one thing there, I mean, yeah, absolutely, this is funded and I mean this for me goes back to one of the sales jobs I had in college was working as a canvas manager for an activist group that leaned left. Now the activist group itself was just totally hired gun. It was young, high school and college age, mostly athletes, mostly men. You go on the street twenty bucks an hour plus counting your commission, but hey, you got a minute for whatever. People try to fight you any whatever. But like, I realized how organized this stuff is, like groups including a gay rights group, an environmental protection group, even someone the Red Duck Sun Limited at one point, as I recalled, would pay these sort of hired guns that had these two hundred young men on deck to go to different cities raise money and political campaigns. At one point started contacting the office and asking can we rent out some guys?

55:20 Can you send us one hundred during the final weeks of this campaign, And they came to us with the offerings. I know it's twenty two bucks an hour, it's not going to be pleasant, but we can put you on economy class out to Denver, and you know this can happen. And I started realizing, obviously not comparing this to Soros or something, but all of this is incredibly well organized, Like In my opinion, I'm conspiratorial on this. When you see a twelve foot palette of bricks laid out a foot away from a riot, somebody brought me there, Like you have an all rides in one of the unions. They brought a truck up. There's no mystery about what happened. And at a deeper level, this goes on. I mentioned George Soros. George Soros and his son are real people. Doesn't mean like a shadowy network of individuals of the Hebrew faith. It means the Soros Foundation, which is something you can check out, you can investigate. I've done stories about them for Spiked UK. So who is pushing all this immigration? Large groups with names like even the Cato Institute over on the right has done this recently where they ran this study saying that immigrants were more of a net positive for the country than citizens. I looked at the study. I'm not going to insult the individual authors, but like immigrants includes Elon Musk, like they combined legal and illegal immigrants. They did all this stuff, and there is a massive amount of money that flows to you if you are going to make these points. Because the issue the last let's sence to me. I guess they're issues even deeper than immigration that underlie this that no one wants to talk about. One of them is declining fertility,

56:51 like following the refusal of men to fight and the acceptance by women of feminism, You've seen the fertility rate in the West drop to like one point two in a lot of countries like Spain. So we can complain about Nigerian's or certainly friendly populations like Canada, Mexico. So, but there's a deeper question, what do you what else do you do if people aren't gonna have kids? Like are you gonna tell young business women to stay home? Like I might if I'm willing to duck a few times? But it's these are core issues Bill, Like one, we don't meet all these people, even from the friendly countries coming in. But if we're gonna get rid of them, we have to be able to talk about who's going to maintain our infrastructure? Are people going to do basic jobs like cowboying, road building? One okay? And two? How are we going to keep having people to maintain our welfare net? So those are and do we need a welfare net? That's another question that's the third question I would ask first, Actually, we can work out all this feminism stuff later, like we just remove welfare for young men, immigrants and huge groups and that would solve the problem.

Yeah, I know I'm in Florida too, but I have a test list, so I haven't even really noticed the prices. But I know it's it's tough for you out there. Well. I'm not the best economic prognosticator, but I follow a guy named Martin Armstrong who is the master of cycles of forecasting. I've actually written two books with him, and he forecasted this back in November. He had does this World Economic Conference, and he said that there would be a panic cycle, that what he calls a panic cycle year, which means unexpected events, black swans occur, and you know, it disrupts the financial landscape. And he even said that it was going to be mid March, and basically, here we are. It's going to last probably.

1:01:40 Through to June. It might be May, might end. It's going to be longer than everybody thinks it's going to be, because look, everything takes longer than you think. So it's going to mess things up, but it's actually a net positive for the US dollar, a net positive or for the stock market. The stock market will be volatile, but the stock market's heading up. This is a guy, Martin Armstrong. When I first interviewed him in twenty eleven, he said the market was heading to thirty two thousand, and I think it was about eleven or twelve at the time.

If you're a huge hedge fund in Europe or Asia and you've got to park five billion dollars overnight, are you going to park it in a European bank or a Chinese bank, or are you going to park it at Chase Manhattan?

And it's not that big a place for Nandina, but they're charging for permits and they outsourced the whole thing. You have these bounty hunter mercenaries out there writing tickets, collecting them, even ammunicating them, and it's just gone beyond the pale. So the book, I was basically in a place called rivi Er Beach, Palm Beach County, and I've been parking in the same place for ten years. And I come back and there's a ticket on my car, and I said, how the heck did this happen? They don't charge for parking, and I looked.

1:14:49 I didn't even notice any signs, and so I challenged the ticket. I said, you know, I've been parking here ten years. I didn't even see any signs. And then I looked closer, I had these signs. They had like pastel colors, the beach balls and beach umbrellas and a wave. I think the wave was a tsunami of parking. Tickets, parking grit be unleashed. The parking grift. I call it the parking industrial complex. And basically what I started investigating and I discovered this thing. I don't recommend it for serious readers out there. It's called the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Traffic control device, traffic light, stop sign, a parking sign. It controls traffic.

1:15:40 And guess what, there's a federal standard and you can't just do anything you want like I could do. If we didn't have the UTCD, people in Seattle one day would wake up and say that red on those stop signs is ugly. We're going to paint them green and. Instead of going on instead of stopping on red, we're gonna go on red and we're gonna stop on green. And you know the chaos you. Would have, Yeah, of course, So. That's why we have the m UTCD. That's the bible. Every state, as a condition of receiving federal highway funds, must adopt. The MUTCD into their laws. And in Florida.

1:16:22 What it says is if you don't have a valid traffic control device sign parking sign, you can't enforce it, meaning you can't write tickets. And you know these parking signs, you've been seeing them your whole light red red letters on a white background with a red border around it. No parking anytime, no part. With the diagonal line through. That's a valid one two. And then you have the parking signs. They're white with a green border and they say two hour parking, pay at the meter, you know, every day seven am to seven pm. Those are traffic control devices.

1:17:08 They're mandatory under the MUTCD that they be denoting your zone. They should be laid out in the zone. They have to be situated seven feet above the ground. It's very specific so that if there's an suv it doesn't block the sign seven feet above the ground. And they have to be minimum twelve by eighteen inches so they can be seen. And they have to be perpendicular or at least visible for oncoming traffic that might be parking there. Instead, we've got app signs, we've got advertising the MUTCD specific no logos, no advertising, no messages to dilute the message of the sign. These are called enforcement or regulatory signs except in the book, and yet Florida just thinks we don't need them anymore. So, in addition to my lawsuit that I started in the US District Court in Palm Beach West pom Beach, I've also sent complaints to f DOT Florida Department of Transportation saying if you're removing pride art from intersections, which I understand the legal argument, then you should be cracking.

1:18:28 Down on these signs. And I sent it to the Secretary of f DOT, Purdue, the General Council, the. Lead engineers, and crickets. Nobody's answered. So if they don't answer me shortly, I'm going to start a man damis action against them in Tallahassee to force them to tell these parking systems take you know, take these signs down, put compliance signs up. And in addition, it's under the Florida Code it's illegal for a company to manufacture and sell or distribute non compliant traffic control devices, and it's illegal for the city or town to buy them.

1:19:16 And yet that hasn't stopped anybody. Carrie, what kind of third party involvement are they having. I know, in California, in Huntington Beach, for example, it was like you didn't deal with the local police, you had to deal with some third party that basically bought the franchise. Yeah, So to speak of this parking grift that's going on, it's just bizarre. I mean, here we are. I mean, parking has gotten way out of hand. I mean, don't even talk to me about going to a ballgame anymore. You know, just what forget about buying a ticket for your kids to take them to a ballgame. Now you've got to go out and get a loan just to cover the parking expenses. It's a big grift. And the fact is in Florida, and this hasn't been tested lately, but when under Florida law, and in many states this is the case. When you actually when the government provides a service to the public, they are only allowed to charge a fee to compensate them for the cost of the service, and when it becomes more than that, then it is considered a tax. Now, the cities like place like Miami's probably pulling in upwards of one hundred million a year. Orlando pulls in tens of million. It's huge.

1:20:37 New York City is the Kuwait of parking tickets. Eleven million a year bill, eleven million tickets a year, billion in revenue, plus towing, plus booting, and you know, it's the parking industrial complex. So yeah, what you're saying is they contract out. There was just a contract given it where I got my ticket in Riviera Beach and uh. I've examined that and it appears that the contract was awarded improperly to the company. So I've made a complaint to the Florida CFO and the Florida Attorney General to investigate that. And you know, the grift's got to come to an end.

1:21:21 So the point is if they charge more than it costs too to basically provide the service, which what does it cost to give you a parking space on the street. It costs like the paint for the uh, for the curb and the uh. We're already paying for that already, car Yeah, oh yeah, exactly, we paid for We paid for We paid for that with our taxes. Now all of a sudden they find another way to taxes right on top. Of ye oh, yeah, it's a first, we pay for the curb, we paid for the curb to be built, and now they're monetizing the curb and renting it out to you, you know, hourly, so. You're paying for it. And it gets even worse because now they can pay by app, and they've gotten rid of the signs a place like Palm Beach, which is in my lawsuit. They're the lead defendant, the home of our nation's president. Well, they've gone all app, no paystations. You can't pay cash.

1:22:19 You must download an app that's called compulsory contracting coerced contracting, and that is definitely not legal. And then you got this situation in Florida. And I want to make it emphatically clear, this is a national problem. This is not just Florida. It's just where I'd uncovered it. And it's so rich, it's such a rich target environment. So we have miners driving on our nation's highways, sixteen seventeen year olds, even fifteen in some states, and they're downloading the apps and they're paying for parking. But guess up, if a kid goes to the bank and he's sixteen and says I want a credit card, they say no, you're a minor, you can avoid that contract. We're not loaning you any money unless your parents guarantee well with the apps. Guess what they're data sharing When you download an app, you don't even know it because nobody looks at this stuff. You agree to the terms of service, that's a contract. In those terms of service, you agree to their privacy policy that says they can share your data with anybody they think they need to. But data that they share is very sensitive.
