Of course, I wish things were a little bit different, but I'm very hopeful.

0:41 You know, the way things are, the way the war is being conducted, maybe once and for all. What do you think, Well, I think that what's happening is the is the right thing. It's what needs to be done, and we're doing it. So, you know, Israel and Erica working together and we're doing what needs to be done. It's methodical. I've never seen anything so methodical and so coordinated between two countries. And yeah, I think it's remarkable. It's remarkable, and there could be no more just war than what is happening now. I mean, they waited forty years to really do this, and they've been just the regime in Iran, the Ayatolas, they've just been building up their weaponry and building up their nuclear and building up their proxies around the world, killing hundreds, hundreds, and maybe even thousands of Americans and certainly israelis. So yeah, I think it's great. I think it has to be done well.

1:57 As you say, the Secretary of War said, precision thought, precision planning, and precision results. And the partnership with Israel, I mean, the one two punch of the military partnership. You can't help but be in awe. And the thing is is that our adversaries are all taking notice, David. You notice that it's like, I mean, the firepower that's on display here, it's quite remarkable. And the thing is, it's not firepower just for firepowers sake. It's all for the aim of liberty and peace. Right of course, it's you know, to take a slogan from President former President Reagan, a blessed memory, it's it's peace through strength.

Unfortunately, Bill, I think we've spoken about this previously one of our earlier interviews Judeo Christian civilization otherwise known as Western civilization, which really has its roots in the Bible, and and it's it's modern actualization in the United States. The West has forgotten that there is something called good and evil, or at least parts of Western society. And you know, we teach our children and grandchildren, we teach them that that there is something called good and evil.

3:36 You know. There there we read fairy tales. What are fairy tale is all about good and evil? Right, and and we we trust in our ability to stand up for the good. But by standing it's not enough to just stand up for the good, but you have to fight them, defeat the evil exactly. Well, that's what the world understood. Let me say this, that's what the world understood in World War Two when Winston Churchill, one of the greatest world leaders of all time, understood that evil needed to be defeated and he got everyone on board. And President Trump has provided that leadership along with Prime Minister Netanyahoo. They've been working closely together despite the reflexed opposition of many people who are against war at old costs, especially if it's the United States or Israel fighting that war.

4:48 But they're doing the right thing. Yeah, well, David, you bring up a great point here in terms of evil. Never did God say that evil would be done away with. You know, we know that evil will be when we get to the point when Jesus is on the throne and he's reigning. But till then evil will be in our midst and that's why we have to be ever vigilant. It's also why in the Old Testament God told Israel that these things that he has taught them and shared with them need to be talked about when they're awake, as they go to bed at night, when they're walking around. Right, that you've got to constantly be vigilant and make sure the next generation that that baton that passes on to the next generation, that they understand that the war against good and evil will continue.

5:38 Right, that's right, that's right then. And look, I'm thankful that there are those who do understand it. Israel certainly certainly understands it. I mean, you're reminded on a daily basis with all the missiles coming into Israel, Are you kidding me? Right? Yes? Also reminded in our prayers, yes, uh, that that we say every day in which we we read the words that that you just cited. Uh, you know the biblical passages saying that you should speak of it when you when you walk on your way, and when you lie down, when you rise up, when you're going to sleep, when you're speak to speak these words to your children. And we're supposed to be leading a model life.

6:31 Yes, m hmm. A part of leading a model life is defeating evil because we have an imperfect world. Unfortunately and or fortunately it's it's our challenge, you know where we're here. You know, God brings us into this world with challenges, and you know people sometimes look and they say, you know, well, why is why is God doing this to me? All these difficult things? You know when when when we run to the bomb shelters seven times a day, you know, it's very easy to look up at the sky as you're running to the bomb shelter and see the bombs bursting in air and and being concerned about that and say, well, why is God doing this to us? Well, we're in this world with challenges and we have to meet those challenges.

7:26 We have to overcome those challenges. That's what life is all about. And so we try to do good and we try to decrease the evil in whatever way that we can. And sometimes, unfortunately, war is necessary. It's not pleasant. We ISRAELI is no more than anybody that war is not pleasant, but it's sometimes necessary to defeat those who who want to kill you. And the the I had told of Iran, the original I had told when he into office in seventy nine, by taking I believe it was fifty four Americans hostage, and he said that the purpose of his Islamic revolution is to export it, to export the Islamic Revolution around the world. Exporting it around the world doesn't mean to Israel. Yeah, it means around the world to other continents and to the United States.

8:33 So those Americans who don't understand that, who don't know their history, well I suggest they learn the history of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and understand. On what it is based. Exactly what it's based on is evil. Well, And as you say, I mean, the Bible's clear, there's a time for war and time for peace. I mean, President Trump had signaled that the US Israeli war with Iran maybe nearing its end. But meanwhile, David, as you know, Israel is living under the shadow of Iranian missiles that you're confronting, and that and that confrontation may give you a little different reality. So I'm I'm curious and interested in your your idea of how it it measures up with what Donald Trump said in terms of this war coming to an end.

14:21 Well, I usually take President Trump's public statements tongue in cheek. He's talking about war and peace for the for them, not because I don't respect him or the way he's handled things, just the opposite, uh they. I was talking before about the West and how the West fights wars or doesn't fight wars. I believe that the West has been scarred by by from Vietnam and Afghanistan and and therefore doesn't want to go into war. So one thing that has been lost in the whole idea of military confrontation is the element of surprise. And President Trump hasn't lost that element of surprise. He may if he says we're going to be wrapping things up soon, it's very possible that we're going to see be two bombers flying very soon as well, before anything is wrapped up. I think we need to understand that President Trump understands the art of surprise, as does Prime Minister in Yahoo, and as I said, they're very coordinated in this, and I believe they're determined to see this thing through until that

15:53 regime falls in Iran and until the people of Iran are able to rise up against it. Right well, Donald Trump always speaks of having the cards, and Donald Trump, I believe is very confident about the cards that are in his hand right now. And the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, has in the last two days made it clear that military force was going to be intensifying. So we see that based on the missile activity, the lack of missiles, the lack of drone activity coming out of Iran, I mean down eighty five ninety percent. I mean, that's a huge indicator right there. And also that America and Israel are commanding the skies of over Iran, so that allows a deeper penetration. And you know, and like you say, B two bombers, other weaponry that could come in that could be otherwise vulnerable if if Iran had you know, ground to surface you know, missiles that they could launch, right.

16:57 That's correct, but I have to tell you that it's definitely not finished. They still have that ballistic missile ability and they just don't have as many as they had before. But looked like last night they were firing cluster bombs at Israel and and you know, we heard the sirens about four times in the middle of the night and and had to run out to bomb shelters. So uh, you know, it's we're talking about millions of Israelis who are running to bomb shelters and have been since this war started.

17:39 David, what's the difference with the cluster bombs when you know from you know, from an Israeli perspective, running to the shelter. What's what's the difference. Danger with the cluster bomb is is is that it it fragments and and it's and it can go in all different directions. So what is it ten times more powerful roughly or something or what. I'm not sure exactly, but but it's much more dangerous. Yes, okay, a regular bomb that is going to one specific target mm hmm. But thank god we're able to pick up. We have a very good missile defense, uh, and we're we're able to pick off most of the attacks on Israel.

18:26 But there has been some damage. And of course much of the damage is psychological, uh, especially with children, the PTSD and the trama is just through the roof. So you you mentioned before about the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund work Silo Israel Children's. Yeah, you taught me you said Shiloh and then you just said Shiloh. Well, I know, I know how. This is an inside joke between David and I because because I asked him, I said, am I saying that right? And you kind of laugh You go, well, not exactly, but you know for the Westerners, you say, okay, Shiloh and then but you know, you're pretty much job. There was Shilloh, okay, all right.

I can't even imagine that, David, a bomb the size of a school bus coming in and you know, blowing up buildings and community. I mean, those things are just increasingly powerful. Well, you and I have been speaking about this for years. Yeah, and you know I remember in one of our earlier interviews, maybe ten fifteen years ago, I was telling you that that there are massing enormous amounts of missiles and even fisbela in Lebanon, the fisbela terrorist organization which is a proxy of Iran, they had almost two hundred thousand missiles in the Israel right kind of just kick the can down the road for many, many years, as did the United States. And and you know, the Europeans are still kicking cans down the road just because they're scared, and you know, they're they're just frightened in Europe because of the rising radical Muslim population there exactly. But but where we're not afraid, and thank god, we're doing what has.

21:29 To be done. And I'm also very thankful that we have such good cooperation with the with the United States. And you know, even if. You know a good portion of the American population doesn't understand that when when the radical Muslims scream out death to Israel and death to America, and they say, first we're going to get the little Satan and then the big Satan. H big Satan means America. And right, you know, you have to you have to just wake up and understand what's going on. And fortunately this administration in Washington does get it, does understand. And unfortunately there are some people who consider themselves allies of the Trump administration or the Republican Party that and they nonetheless they become isolationists and there and they don't think that the United States should be involved in any conflicts in the in defeating evil around the world. Well, I also don't think the United States should be involved in every conflict. But but there are certain times when when a leader needs to lead, and President Trump is doing that well.

22:54 And and I know it's hard for some people here in America because they misunderstand how Israel and the United States has joined at the hip. And there's been proven there's proven evidence that you know which the Bible says those who bless Israel will be blessed those who curse, who curse America has blessed Israel. Israel has blessed us. God has blessed us. Uh. There is a divine connection there that cannot be denied, and that's fine if people want to deny it. But as Joshua said, as for me and my house, I'm going to do what God says. Okay, So we're gonna leave it there. That's right.

We continue to pray, you know, as the President said and even our Secretary of War, it is hell and it does come with casualties, and you know, things happen. This is why we don't like war. But it's also why when you go to war, you've got to conduct war. And regardless of all these third party intrusions and other people who are not even in the military opining on this stuff. It drives me nuts, John, I'm so frustrated. Well, you know, people, people have a right to compluct to ask about policy.

28:05 I mean, remember the Iraq War. You know, we should have asked a lot tougher questions before we got into the Iraq War. I think Trump is conducting this war differently because he saw the fraud that was the Iraq War. We were lied into it, and then we came. We put boots on the ground to let and we're supposed to be welcomed as liberators and we're going to create a Western style, tolerant, pro israel democracy. We might as well said have said, we're going to turn Iraq into a ski resort, and we're gonna bring lots of artificial snow and it's gonna be great. We're gonna turn it into Switzerland. They'll have fon du, they'll have village style democracy, everybody will be Protestant. It was every bit as realistic as that.

Why bring one such person into America, But we have brought millions, And exactly this is really what was so catastrophic about the Republican establishment, the old Republican Party of George Bush and John Cornyn and Karl Rove. On the one hand, they want virtually open borders. So any company that wants to bring in h one b people to bring down American wages, or wants cheap agricultural labor, anybody who wants to come to America will give lots of refuge will take lots of so called refugees unlimited numbers, just to show how tolerant and generous and Christian we are. We're

So you bring them over here, and then you go meddling in their home countries, creating lots of grievances, taking a lot of them off, giving lots of them reasons to maybe commit terrorist attacks in America. George Bush's response to nine to eleven was to say Islam is a religion of peace and to increase the number of Muslims. I'm I'm so glad you're bringing this up, because when this was happening, John, I couldn't believe it. I said, You've got to be kidding me. I go, this is going to be a sea change. And look exactly, this is what opened the door to the you know, the invasion of Islam into the United States and in other countries.

Know, because instead of we worked so hard to prevent a backlash that we did a front lash, we actually we oh, thank you for bombing the World Trade Center. We're now going to praise your religion, and we're going to bring in hundreds of thousands, millions of you every year and let you colonize entire cities like Dearborn, Michigan, entire states like Minnesota. We're going to mess around in your countries and tick you off and create problems, and then we're going to bring you into the country where you can bomb our synagogues, bomb our churches, and put we eat Sharia courts in American cities.

I mean, I'm talking about the incompetence, the cowardice, the intellectual laziness of the Republican leadership of the Rhinos. They want to seem generous, they want to seem magnanimous. They don't want their wives to get dirty looks at the country club. I really think that right there, if you support Donald Trump, your wife's gonna get dirty looks at the country club. She's gonna yammer in your ear and make your life a hell. So you have to be a Rhino. You have to be never Trump, so that your wife shuts up for a while. Exactly. When I say that was part of their plan, I'm talking about the Muslim plan or the Muslim plan. Yeah, that was their plan, not the Rhinos.

I mean, look at look at just since Iran, and this was you know, oh oh, when you you talk about ticking people off and you know, shaking up the hornet's nest, you had to know when we started going after Iran that we had all these sleeper cells. FBI, everybody already reported we had sleeper cells here in this country. Thank you very much, Joe Biden, that we can thank him and Kamala Harris, the so called borders zar Arena did absolutely nothing but hold the door open for them and give them some leftover Obama phones. I guess you know what a mess this has become. And so now here we are and look, you've got anti Semitism already was on the increase over the last ten years almost nine hundred percent, John Wow.

34:55 And then now with the recent situation with Iran, you've got what for five episodes of anti Semitic attacks, and the way the news media is reporting on it's like, oh, well, a couple of teenagers out on a Sunday walk, and oh before that, they were, you know, selling shoes and doing all this other stuff. And then they had this unfortunate day, the unfortunate day where they brought some IEDs and tried to kill a lot of people. Oh yeah, in New York. This guy John Strand, he's a bit of a firebrand, bit of a nut, but he did what it was his right as an American. He protested against Islam outside the Mayor's Gracie mansion. He was an immigrant, throws terrorist weapons, throws IEDs at him, trying to murder him in a bunch of other Americans, and the media made it sound like it was an attack on the mayor mom Donnie by anti Muslim radicals, when in fact it was a Muslim immigrant attacking an American exercising his First Amendment rights.

Yeah yeah, acting like a filter to keep the facts of what's happening away from the public, to continually manipulate us the way they did during the COVID Penny Well. And the thing is is that it adds to the vulnerability John, because America thinks, oh, it's not that bad. It's bad, yeah, you know. And if you think not that, I mean, when you're hearing the call to prayer in Times Square, give me a break, okay, And look what's happening in Texas. How many? How many mosques they're building? What they're building? A new mosque almost every three or four days, they tell me. Yeah, yeah.

36:34 And Islamic centers and and and a lot of them are directly linked to terrorist organizations. And should we be concerned, John, should we be concerned with? Should be deeply concerned. If they can take Texas, they can take anywhere. New York City is not even a scalp for them. They want Dallas and Austin and San Antonio. What makes it the definitive biography of the first American folk? Well, so when I completed this, which went a in basically last September, and then we went through the editing and so forth. So I wrote it. I wrote it in the first several months of his papacy, and at that point there was only really one other biography that was out there, by Matthew Bunsen at EWTN. It was very short, very brief, and really only covered the guy's life up to the papacy a few other things.

Yeah, well, actually in terms of like his politics is the right word, but where he's coming from, I guess maybe even ideologically he's a Republican Bill Yeah, I mean he's he voted repeatedly in the Republican primaries in Illinois. We know that, we've we've we've seen the data on that never voted the Democratic primary. So yeah, we we assume that he's a registered Republican. And you know, a pope, especially a pope who's you know, a conventional pope, is more likely going to be identified as an let me put us, like a traditionalist right rather than like a liberal progressive. I mean, you know, the pope and this pope too, and even Francis as complicated as Francis was.

57:59 You know, they believe of a marriage between one man and one woman. They believe there's two genders. In fact, Pope France has even thundered a few times. Right, you know, gender ideology is demonic, right, you know, they're both you know, they're completely against abortion. Francis repeatedly would compare having an abortion to hiring a hit man. So in all the kind of like social moral issues, they're most certainly more aligned with kind of like American conservatism than American liberalism. I know some people will say, well, on immigration, for example, you know, maybe they're a mora aligned with the Democrats. I don't know that that's true. I mean, if you look very closely, and this poope's much more I think thoughtful and measured in his statements.

58:44 You know, he has said things about immigration, even about how nations have borders, right, he gets it coming from America. But also you got to understand that that the pope is the leader of a universal church. Catholic means universal as a church without borders, right, So he represents a constituency of people, humanity, right, Christians generally, So he's not thinking in terms of borders like a president is, who's pledged to protect the borders of the United States under the Constitution. But at the same time, Leo, coming from America, will will realize that. And and by the way, you know he came over to his parents were immigrants, right exactly, but his parents came over legally, And so I think he understands that everybody wants to be quote unquote welcoming to the migrant. Yes, we all know that. You and I know that our ancestors came over here. But you know, but the question is whether or not, you know how many illegal people that a country can take in and assimilate.

59:49 And of course if you're coming in illegally, you're breaking the law. So that's an all together, that's an altogether different animal. Yeah, I think that sometimes what happens, Paul is they grab an eight second sound by and they try to force fit it into their own perceived understanding of immigration. But it's not necessarily because when I read that, whether it's Pope Francis or even this Pope, Pope Leo, I go, there's more to the answer here, because even though they try to forcefit it and try to think, oh, well, scripturally, this is what scripture says. Well, wait a minute, you know, don't don't short hand the word of God in order to you know, comply and fit into your agenda and your worldview, because God would not welcome you into an environment where you could not be protected, you could not be provided for, you could not be free.

It's just an altogether different thing. I mean, it's just it's applying or the golden rule right treat others. Okay, well, yeah, well I treat migrants that way. In fact, in fact, I treat illegal immigrants that way too. But that's aside from the issue of whether or not a country and a president has rules passed by Congress and has to uphold certain laws about the number of people that can come into the country legally and illegally. So I think I think Francis, who by the way, had never been to America in his entire lifetime until he came here as pope, you really didn't understand these things at all. I think Leo, being an American, has a better understanding of it.

And this is how America has demonstrated Christian principles, good, bad, ugly, you know, something to be proud of, something to not be so proud of. I mean, the whole Enchilada and here it is. I mean, we are a work in process and a demonstration of Biblical principles in so many ways that I think that for somebody to ignore or not you know, observe what's happening here in America, is.

That's what I want you to do, right, But in a way that became inadvertently or not, like a metaphor for his papacy because after twelve years, I mean, look, no one got what they wanted. I mean, the liberals were thinking, oh, we're going to get gay marriage, We're going to get female deacons exactly, female priests we're gonna get and instead after twelve years and other do they get none of this.

Right, So that's really not a controversial statement at all. Right, But of course the liberal looks down.

Right, And it seems that you know, Pope Francis wanted to dis anchor you know, his philosophy and his his reign, you know, from the solid Rock and the solid Rock principles. Well, and also, I mean, not only is God the God of order and stability, but so is the papacy, right, I mean this is this is maybe the oldest institution on the planet. I remember major Evangelical I won't say his name, but a few years ago who said to me, Yeah, if we ever lose you Catholics on like the life issue and the family issue, we're toast, right. I mean, we really need you guys to remain a rock on the on this issue. So, you know, people count on the papacy for that kind of stability. I mean, people don't want the Pope making statements where it sounds like he's maybe questioning whether hell even exists.

I went back and I looked at Francis's statement, He didn't use peace even one time in his statement. So I think that contrast alone says a lot and says a lot about Frankly his plan. And I do think it's going to be like a premeditated plan to try to heal the church.

The third possibility is, of course, that she was kidnapped for the perverse purposes of somebody like Richard Allen Davis, who kidnapped, murdered, and assaulted polyclass And all of these things are quite one of the problems with a lot of true crime podcasts, Bill is that they touch on what is the most obvious. Yes, it's scary, Yes these are ugly people. Yes they're bad men, and they beat on that over and over again, but they don't tell you what made them into bad men and what motivates them and that kind of thing, and some of it is just entirely too ugly for a civilian audience.
