He explains that the Left’s suppression of free speech reached its nadir during the Biden administration. We continue to learn of its Orwellian initiatives to censor, deplatform, demonetize and otherwise suppress views with which it disagreed. Globally, we are seeing unprecedented repression of conservative voices by democratically elected governments, including (most notably) England, France and Brazil – though the European Union isn’t much better. And, closer to home, universities, once a bastion of free speech have lost their way. In the most recent FIRE survey of nearly 70,000 students at hundreds of colleges, the best a campus could do was a grade of B- – and that was only because FIRE rounded up, or its highest grade would have been a C+.
