Well, i'll tell you here it is with all that we're dealing with the run and we really need your perspective because there's lots of narrative out there from people that shouldn't even be talking, including elected officials, because it's clear they really don't know what they're talking about. And I don't mean to set it up in such a way. It's just that you know Eric, you know everything, You know me, and you know the show. It's about the truth. We're going to pursue the truth no matter where it leaves, the whole truth and nothing but And this is why I appreciate you giving us the time to come on and help our audience understand. You know what is going on in Iran. Well, I think you nail that right. It's disheartening and it's sad that we have politicians that should be back in the US, especially going after our man who has threatened us and threatened the world basically for almost five decades, and for them to stand up and not not help and you know, continue to try to derail what the Trump administration is doing. It's terrible when they forget that it's American men and women out there in the front lines.

1:46 They didn't have a problem with Obama, Obama, Libya and you know when I mean even Biden did some things right, but they didn't care. And I think just despite for Trump makes it to where they'll do and he could discover cancer, the cure for cancer, and left will will say it's something legal or bad. So yeah, it's a terrible thing that those some of these politicians are doing. Well. It's unfortunate because at a time when we should be united that's right. We are in the United States right right now, a little bit of the Ununited States, because yeah, there's a little bit of the sentiment, this anti Trump stuff. You know, they say TDS Trump arrangement syndrome, but it's deeper than that. Eric, I feel it's really anti American. And that's what I've been telling people on the show. It's not about being a Democrat or Republican. It's either your pro American or you're anti American. And when you look at the fruit of these people's decisions, you know, the things they talk about, you can tell right away if they are, you know, for America. I mean even like simple things like the Olympics, for example, who are they cheering for? Right, And it's just like, give give me a break here, please.

2:49 Yeah again, you know, and it's again it's I have no other words but said, but how sad and disgusting actually, because you know, some of these people on the left are claiming Trump's a dictator and king. But then we've taken out Maduro who was a dictator and a terrible ad pusser, a drug trafficker, and they wanted him release. And now we've taken out the Atola and Iran who was a terrible impressor, and I mean did some atrocious things to all humans, right, And it's like the US is the bad guy here. And then you talk about the Olympics. I mean, the men won that amazing game. I mean I was cheering. My dog was barking that I fell right. I mean, it just you should have brought the country together. But what does the left do.

3:31 It's just they pick at anything and they try to make it in such a bad way of celebrating America, which they live in America. If they don't like it here, they should they should leave, right. Go find another place. Yeah, go be like Rosie o'donald, take you and your your squirrel and go to Ireland or whatever it gets you excited. Yeah. And the other the other thing here is that you know, they talk about Trump being a dictator, and you mentioned these dictators and these theocrats and stuff like that, and what did they do with their opposition They locked them up or they killed them. I don't see anybody, you know, I don't see Nancy Pelosi being put in front of a firing squad. Well in bringing that up, I mean, look what they did to Trump in four years and during his whole presidency. I mean, they drummed up charges. I mean he was convicted thirty four, you know, the drums up thirty four felonies. Right, he beat that, and they were still coming at him.

4:16 And they'll just never be happy. They hate that man so much today sacrifice the rest of US American men and women for the sake of their triumph of defeating Donald Trump. Well, you know, you've been in combat. You know what's going on in terms of you know, adversity. You know there's something deep rooted here. You know that's in their very spirit and their soul. Yes, it's manifest by this Trump arrangement syndrome, but it's deeper than that, you know. And that's the thing that I believe that America needs to be discerning about because once they understand okay, I get it, I mean I got to get outside of the emotion and this and to see that they're at the end of the day, they're not interested in the same thing I'm interested in ultimately, and.

5:02 That is that you know, for most of us. You know, if America is great, everybody's great, the world is great. I mean, look, what's just happened in what a little over a year since Trump got re elected. You know, the borders closed, the nations around the world are acting differently. You know, they're more united, NATO is stronger. You know. Yeah, there's some things still to clean up. It's not a perfect world yet, but compared to what it was over a year ago under Biden, Lord have mercy. Oh absolutely, I mean yeah, it's uh And it's hard for me to understand how they don't see that right, How they just can't say, hey, you know what, one, ks are going to be better. Gas prices are better, food is dropping, We're safer, we don't have a bunch of people just from rushing the border. Crime is down, and you know example the attack on ICE officers, right, and they kept time, we're going after criminals, illegal aliens who are criminals. And then you have these weak minded individuals that unfortunately listen to some of these auticians and so called leaders telling them to rise up against ICE, right, and it's destroying their own community. So again to that to their you know, they're they're rant about, oh, we should protect America and dictators and you're protecting criminals. So are you saying that you rather protect the criminal than a US citizen.

6:19 It just doesn't well, they said, as much as the State of the Union went, Trump asked him, right, Yeah, they called the question on him and they wouldn't stand up. And it was I watched that city and it's infuriating, even if they didn't like anything about his policies. When he was talking about that poor little girl, about that lady's daughter was stabbed on that subway train, about the two medal of honors, I mean they just sat there and instead that one lady I forgot she's from the one from Minnesota was next to her, but she was chanting KKK, which. Omar. Yeah. The other one the woman's classes.

I mean, yeah, what a classless embarrassment to her office to Congress, Like you're not at a local, I don't know, high school protest, right, you are being watched by the world. And if they don't think the world is watching these State of the Union addresses, they're out of their mind. Ye. And yeah, hopefully that they can sanction her and remove her from office. Well, like you're saying, see what this does is that this raises a sentiment, and it endangers the constituency because look what happened. You had a woman get so repped up in Minnesota that she thought somehow was okay to use her vehicle to.

Yeah, she gets shot, and the guy's trying to defend himself because oh, yeah, that's right, six months earlier, he got ran over, and you know, and he's almost back to duty here and now here at deja vu one more time. And this sad response was the mayor, who she doesn't know anything about law enforcement. I was, I was a you know, security forces, so I have some law enforcement training, and yeah, I mean that you got to defend yourself. You got a person with a two thousand pound weapon coming at you, You should drive your pistol and defend yourself. And that woman, being a weak minded individual that probably heard the rhetoric from that mayor or for whoever that said, oh, these ice agents are just grabbing people and throwing them, you know, reporting them. So I mean, what what a loss, what a pity? What a loss of life?

8:29 Right exactly? And then for the guy, she shows up with a you know, with a semi automatic weapon, fifty rounds of AMMO and uh, you know, bullets therein his gun? What do you think was going to happen? But you see the rais. But my point is is that you know they want to blame it on Trump. I blame it on them. I blame it on local law enforcement. Because local law as you know, with your training even and local law enforcement knows the people. They can stop, you know, and nip this thing in the butt pretty quick, and effective law enforcement group can do that easily, a lot easier than somebody from out of town who's been maligned and been led to believe like they're a bunch of Nazis.

9:12 Right, Yeah, And then the sad part is it's some of those long local law enforcement their hands are tied because their DA and their mayor is basically saying, you help out the federal government. And two people have died. But yet you know, it's like they've gotten away with this because you know, the order of the day is you know, you can blame Trump for everything. Right absolutely, And I think some of these politicians is so called leadership. Like in the State of the Union, Trump said, your number one parties to protect your citizens American citizens. Yes, when they go on TV and you know, the announce ice agents and the federal government and they're calling them Nazis, I don't think they truly understand what the word Nazi means and the tremendous destruction that that group of people brought to the world. And when you alsome on that, I mean, it's it should be the most heinous insult out there, but they toss it around just you know, they get they throughout the word Nazi and racism all the time comes from the left, and that's kind of their trump card, right If they don't agree with something, you're you're a racist or you're a Nazi, and they get away with that. And I think a lot of these politicians should be fined and should be removed exactly.

15:23 Well, it's a it's an attack on law and order, that fundamental, that fundamental block to society and civility. You have a breakdown in law and order, like what we've seen across the Gunder. We saw it certainly in the Summer of Love after the George Floyd rives billions of dollars in damage. How many people got injured and died as a result of. All that, And for what purpose? You know, I mean, and for you know, to me, I still maintain there's a big lie there. But you know, people don't want to deal with it because they got the scapegoat and he's in jail, he's been shanked several times, and I mean it's I mean, you talk about something that's on I mean, I feel for this man. But anyway, I.

16:03 Do want to get back to talk about Iran and the strategic moves and how the Department of War, the fact that they even changed from the Department of Events, Department of War. This really set the war footing and the ethos of America's military going forward, hasn't it? Absolutely? It gives it just gives us that pride and that power, and that it gives you that I don't know, it just amps you up, right. I mean when I joined the military, if we were to call it the Department of War, I mean, that's what people forget. When you join the US military, your number one priority is to defend the country, which means going to war. Yes, you have all kinds of different jobs, but that is your main purpose. And now when we are in war, I mean, yes, we're going to lose men and women to it, and it's the unfortunate part of that job, that profession. But for the most part, every single person that joins the military can't wait to go do that.

16:58 I mean, you train in train and train, and when you finally get a chance to unleash your skills on the enemy, I mean, it's it's like no other feelings. It's plain that calling. Right, You're doing what you were called. To do exactly exactly, and that's it. You're You're fulfilling your destiny. I think you know, I often when I talk to to groups of men particularly, I say, one of the biggest frustrations that men have is when they're not exercising the gifts and talents that God's given them. That's right, that's right, and there's only a chosen few that can go, right. I mean, there's a lot more that would like to go. But there. You know, the military has that great advantage that it can discriminate who they let in because you need to be fit, you need to be a certain heights. You can have asthma, you can have flat fee. I mean, there's a very rigid line for you to join. And on the past administration, they were destroying that and morale was in the gutter.

Right. Yeah, you look at recruitment levels. You know, again, so much of the changes that have happened in America is because. Of one man. It was because of one election. A new president made all the difference for the border. For the military, recruitment is up. You know, you look at what's going on in Iran and what they're able to do with the firepower. Eric, I got to imagine that our enemies that President g even putin, even though he's kind of putting his nose in with I run. We're being told that he's been giving intelligence to Iran. But he better walk softly here because Trump's gonna you know, Trump's noting this.

18:41 Yeah, I think it's it's a good uh warning to the rest of the world. Right, we're flexing our muscle finally and seeing what we're capable of. Right Venezuela. You know, Maduro was talking all that trash and we took him out within a couple hours. And then you know, Iran has been cleaning chatting death to America and we just I think it was there were the seventh largest military in the world and they've been reduced to rubbles. So and then you talked about Russia. They're so preoccupied with Ukraine, who they thought they were going to go in and beat and take over. And it's what on the fourth year or something. Like that, fifth almost I think fifth the fifth year, I think. So, I mean the only one in China, and China's China's smart they're not gonna want to tassle with us right now.

19:26 Well, China's you know, been building a lot of you know, been building up their navy, but their boats compared to our boats. I mean you're talking of v W versus A Ferrari. Yeah, I mean, you know, and they know that, so they can't even you know, they they don't want to go head to head with uh with the fleet of our US navy and uh, like you said, look what they've done. They've decimated Iran's navy. I mean it's I think I think their entire navy is underwater right now. Yeah, I believe, Yeah, yeah, I mean they I mean the American military. I mean they haven't even showcased all their weapons, right, I mean, it's just been surgical and they have just destroyed them. I mean they that military, the Iranian military exists no longer.

20:13 So well Trump Trump has been near begging the IRGC and the local law enforcement to put down their guns to save their lives. But as you know, with death cults, you know it's the last man standing. They're not going to there. Chances are they're not going to do that. So what does that do is that you know, and of course the media cracks me up, you know, like they know something about the military and engaging war and that sort of thing. You know, when is there is there going to be boots on the ground. You know, and and you know, hex Seth and even Trump said, hey, this is about winning the war. This isn't about you know, just a campaign. This is to go to win and you have to do what it takes to win. If it's boots on the ground, I get it. Nobody wants boots on the ground.

20:57 Certainly. The last thing we want is something like Afghanistan years of great right, or even Vietnam. All over again, you know, during my absolutely yeah. So so I think we've learned from all that. And don't I think that if Donald Trump has to make the decision to put boots on the ground, I think that he's right now. He's he's excited about the kurd saying hey send us in. You know, well, there's I think I ran. I mean, they did a completely at a total reckless move and firing their missiles to neighboring countries, especially in the Mid East, because now Saudi Arabia wants to get in there, kuwait Ui. They all want a piece of that now because they were attacked, So I think if they were just kept it, maybe they wouldn't have so much so much animosity, I guess for lack of a better word, against them, But I mean, they're finished, and as far as boots on the ground, I think President Trump saw what happened in Afghanistan and hopefully we're just going to go in there, shut them down and get out right. And I'm sure we'll have some type of uh advisement or some type of party.

22:03 You're you're gonna have to do something like they did in Afghanistan. Leave a couple thousand, you know, soldiers there, you know, to be around to keep an eye on things. Uh. I think that that's that's probably you know, you know, you've been there. So because you've got you've got to maintain control until you allow the government to define itself because it's still in the process of figuring out who is going to lead Iran. Now that the Ayatola and his minions are out. Yeah, the power vacuum and now people are going to be positioning to take over that country. So yeah, absolutely we're gonna you know, it would be great is to have a base because Unfortunately the Biden administration, we had Bogroom, which was an amazing strategic base for US, and we gave that up, which is run by the Taliban now, so we have Iran and we can have a base like Bogram. It would give to the United States such a great advantage on that side of the world.

22:55 Yeah, without a doubt, you bring back the nightmare of Afghanistan. How much we left eighty billion dollars worth of military armament and. That how ludicrous. I mean, you didn't even think about destroying it before you left. Any other you know, you was a combat controller, that would have been. One of the things is that you have to preserve the intelligence. Right absolutely, and it can be backward engineering. And I mean what's sad is that if we do go back to that place, hopefully never, but if we do, our you know or younger generations, sins and daughters are going to be fighting with against our own equipment because we left it there. And yeah, that was that was a travesty and Biden should still I mean, that guy's got away with so much stuff and even the generals million that guy was, Yeah, I got was terrible.

Yeah, you know, I think we should come together right where Americans we should get those little differences, and that's how the media divides us, right, They divide us on race and your abortion view, and you know it's like, Okay, I get it, but we're Americans. We should all come together. We have men and women fighting in the foreign land. We should support those guys. And then at the end of the day, it's like, come together, right, this is a great country. This is the greatest country in the world.

So these are all solid, self to flense rationales, beyond the fact that it would be nice to topple an evil theocratic government that oppresses women, oppresses Christians, and commits itself to genocidal destruction of the state of Israel. Well, and look what they've done to their own people. I mean, I'm hearing reports John anywhere from forty to sixty thousand people. In the last couple of months. Wow, they have been annihilated. I mean, it's just a huge I mean, I know that when Trump said, hey, look at that's a red line, they were talking about nine hundred people that were going to the gallows. And you know, I don't know if the whatever happened, you know, finally with them, but proposedly the eyetola had put a hold on it. But you know, God only knows if they're part of that body count.

Both Republicans and Democrats can say, Okay, this is the hill we're going to conquer. We're going to conquer that hill. The debate was the process. How how are we going to do that?

We're going to talk about depression. You know, it affects over twenty one million adults in the United States, Yet many adults with major depression disorder what they call MDD, still struggle with symptoms even with treatment. For mental health advocate Kelly Yochima. She knows this experience for firsthand. She has openly shared her own journey with depression and the daily realities of managing mental health. Her lived experience reflects what many adults with MDD face. Persists in symptoms, emotional setbacks, and difficulty maintaining daily routines even while in treatment. Clinicians like doctor Sandra Jan, licensed to psychotherapists with more than thirty years of clinical experience, see these same challenges in practice and recognize an ongoing need for integrated, accessible approaches to care, including a newer approach what they're calling prescription digital therapeutics or pdts, designed to complement traditional treatment methods. MDD is a clinical form of depression that does not look like a single bad day.

1:40:46 It can show up as weeks of exhaustion, loss of interest, and difficulty keeping up at work, at home, or in relationships with us. Right now, is Kelly and doctor Jan to tell us more about it? Jam? The first question is for you, what is major depressive disorder and how does it differ from everyday stress or sadness? Such a great question. Major depressive disorder, what we commonly refer to as major depression, is a chronic and persistent condition that can persist for weeks. Symptoms showing up like. Loss of interest in regular activities, a loss of motivation, drive cognitive difficulties. And what's important to realize about this condition is that it impacts a person really globally, their entire ecosystem, relationships at work, home, and school, and how it is different from what we would call daily stress.

1:41:48 I'm going to turn to Kelly and invite you, as a person with lived experience, you're the expert, tell us about that. Fortunately, and unfortunately, when I was nineteen, I got diegnosed with depression, and that was the first time in my life where I actually felt very affirmed that there wasn't something very very uniquely wrong with me. And a lot of us who have depression truly feel like we are so different from others, and our possibilities and our abilities are so small, and there is a dark cloud over ahead, and that truly does feel like a reality. But that is a big symptom of depression.

1:42:29 And I have learned throughout my journey that there are so many tools I can tap on, like therapy, taking an antidepressant, and other tools at my disposal that have helped me live a better quality of life, which I'm really grateful for. Well doctor, As you know, many adults continue to experience depression symptoms even while intriguement. From your perspectives, what contributes to this and what gives you optimism about where care is headed? Yes, well, standard of care is really what Kelly just described. Standard of care in the world of major depression is typically an antidepressant and or psychotherapy or a combination of the two.

1:43:11 And in my clinical practice, and what we know is. That some patients do respond to the traditional treatment tools that are available. However, there are others where it is a partial response to treatment, and so something that is emerging in our world of treatment options, specifically for major depression is a new emerging tool that is called a prescription digital therapeutic. Well doctor, can you explain a little bit more how technology supported tools fit into the depression treatment landscape and how might they change the experience of day to day care.

1:43:53 Great question, So let me speak to you about one specifically. We'll start with Prescription digital therapeutics are FDA authorized apps, but they are different than wellness apps in this way, they are based in evidence, they are studied within randomized controlled trials. I'm Asian American, and even though my parents were born and raised here, there was not a lot of space for emotions, hard conversations, and no such word as depression would ever hit that house. And I'm sure so many of us have felt that there are big generational differences, cultural differences, and knowing that there are tools and opportunities and conversations for us to vent and get advice and hear from other people's journeys, I have found it to be so inspiring to continue to seek treatments and a better quality of life for myself. I don't know if I didn't have other people to talk to that I'd be as encouraged to.

Doctor Jen, From a clinical perspective, what excites you most about the growing understanding of mental health and the emergence of new technology supported options for patients. It's exactly what you said. These emerging new digital technologies are quite exciting. You know, in this space we're talking about neuroplasticity, which really is simply put, the brain's ability to change and that offers patients a sense of hope. So the two parts of the brain that in this space, the thinking part of the brain and the feeling part of the brain, so the prefrontal cortex and the ambigdala. It's believed that there is a problem with communication and that emotions feel overwhelming two people, particularly in the space of major depression.
