04 Thank you. Are you ready? Yeah. Okay, let's do it. Bill Martinez Live, a program about current events, our culture, our values, our politics, and our future. And now, Bill Martinez. Hey, good morning. Welcome. Six minutes at the top of the hour right now. I'm Bill Martinez, and he is Alex Newman, of course, the award-winning international journalist, educator, author, and speaker. Alex, good morning. Good to have you with us, sir. Great to be here. Thanks for having me. Hey, lots to catch up on. Of course, overseas, we see what's happening there. France is burning.

46 I mean, it's like Les Mis all over again here, huh? Yeah, it's no surprise. I actually predicted that we would see exactly this in a 2016 cover story for the New American magazine. It was very easy to see that the globalist elites and the communists who had imported all these jihadists were planning to use them for sinister purposes. And of course, here we are now. They are working to undermine Christendom. They're working to undermine freedom. And this was easy to foresee if you only just looked at the writings and the documents that they were putting out. Well, and of course, and you've seen for what the last decade, at least the European Union and the globalists, this is where they've been heading all along. So no surprise here.

27 No, that's right. And if you look at people like the U.N. migration czar, Peter Sutherland, who was a former VP at Goldman Sachs, he told us over a decade ago that one of the reasons they wanted this mass movement of people was to undermine national homogeneity, to undermine the idea of nations. He said we have to get rid of historic memories of our own countries and recognize we can't hide behind borders anymore. And he specifically said we have to overcome shibboleths, like the idea of national sovereignty. So it was very clear that this was going to be the plan. What we're watching right now is the deliberate destruction of what's left of Christendom. And I keep warning Americans because I think that's only happening in France. If we're not careful, we're going to be next.

11 Well, you got France, you got Britain, you got Belgium, all this. I mean, what's happening in Europe right now, it is one humongous, you know, I guess you could say collapse. I mean, it's not full blown, but it's pretty close. I mean, with all the damage that's being done there. And I love. I love how the narrative is being controlled here, Alex. Again, we're hearing, well, these are mostly peaceful riots, right? Yeah. And of course, that's what they would say. But this is a well-known revolutionary tactic that we're watching here. And I think they are now at the point where they think they can get away with this and it's irreversible. I just saw yesterday that Khan is about to become the most popular last name in the UK, overtaking Smith.

53 A couple of years ago, Mohammed became the most popular name for baby boy's. And if you look at the big cities of Western Europe, the natives are already in the minority. I mean, Brits are a minority in London. They have a Muslim mayor. That's true across many major British cities. You look at Malmo in Sweden. Swedes are a minority. You look at Frankfurt in Germany. Germans are in the minority. You look at Brussels. Belgians are a very small minority in their capital now. Something like less than one in four people there are actually from Belgium. You look at Amsterdam. The Dutch are in the minority now. So this is a tidal wave that's going to swamp all of Western Europe. And I think we're only in the beginning phases of it. I think the chaos is an important part of this. But what we see in the response will be just as significant.

37 How can we stop it from coming here to America as if it's not already here? I mean, we see I mean, the timing of the DSA right now and all this is happening in Europe. I don't think that this is by accident. No, this is absolutely deliberate. There's a reason why Barack Obama and Joe Biden and so many others have deliberately opened up the borders of the United States and the whole Western world. We're literally funding the UN agencies that are behind this mass migration. regimes, if you will, including Barack Obama, deliberately destroyed a bunch of countries across North Africa and the Middle East and then said, hey, why don't you all come to America? We get free food and free health care and free education for your children. Who wouldn't want to come?

19 You bombed Libya to smithereens. You backed al-Qaeda in Syria. They're running around beheading people. Who wouldn't want to leave? So this is absolutely deliberate. This was engineered this way. And, of course, I'm not the first one to notice that. People in prominent positions have talked about this. The recently departed Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, talked about this. I was invited to his office back in 2018. I sat down with the Secretary of State there and we did a 30-minute interview. where he said there's a pre-planned operation. They're doing this on purpose, and the goal is to subvert the nation state and what's left of the Christian culture of Europe. So it's absolutely coming to the United States. It's here already. It's not too late for the United States.

00 We're not in as bad a position as, say, France or Germany or Sweden or some of these other countries. The UK. But if we are serious about preventing that here, It's going to require not just the border security that Trump has brought in, but also mass deportations. We've got tens of millions of illegals running around the country. We've got millions of people who committed immigration fraud to get here. We've got millions of people who came over and promised they weren't going to collect welfare, collecting welfare. Glad to see the administration moving in the direction of doing something about this, but this is going to be a Herculean task. We also need some obvious reforms to our immigration laws. I've had several Republican members of Congress on my program to talk about this, including Congressman Andy Ogles. He's got actually a wonderful bill that would undo the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act that opened up the borders of the United States to basically the whole world. That was Ted Kennedy's doing. And, of course, he promised us that it wouldn't change America at all. We know now that was a lie. You know, we've got pagan idols popping up all over Texas. We've got mosques taking over churches, literally, right, taking down the crosses and putting in prayer rooms to Allah.

08 So this was all very deliberate. It can be stopped in the United States, but it's going to require serious action. I think the American people are willing and able. The question is whether Congress will go along. Because right now, you know, Trump's in office for another, what, two and a half years. And so far, all of this has happened just through executive action. We know that if the Democrats retake power, their goal is to do mass amnesty for everybody here. Once they get their amnesty, they can bring their cousins and their brothers and their sisters and their grandmas, and pretty soon the whole village will be here, and we will look a lot like France looks right now. Well, look at what happened in Minneapolis. And I keep reminding people, Alex, I mean, you're talking 82,000 people not only control Minneapolis, but they control Minnesota.

53 Yeah. They got a Muslim attorney general, Keith Ellison, who's a Marxist and a jihadist. Same thing with New York, right? New York City literally has an Islamo-Marxist for a mayor. And that's just a sneak preview of what's to come if we don't get serious about this. It's been the same process in Europe. They start with the big cities, but they will move outward from there. And before you know it, they'll have control of the state governments. They'll have people operating in Congress. I mean, they already do. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, you know, all these open jihadists. operating within our Congress to undermine the United States, to overthrow our constitutional system of government, and to make America look more like Somalia or Pakistan. And frankly, why don't you just go back to Somalia if you want it to look more like Somalia?

35 Well, but they can't move millions of dollars through the airport out of the United States like they do here. Thank you very much. I say millions. It's actually billions. And look at how. Many, to your point, how many candidates are up for office. I think the last count I saw was over 300. candidates of this ilk. I mean, you've got the call to prayer in Times Square in New York. In Dallas, Texas, for crying out loud, this battle is happening in the heart of one of the biggest red states out there. Should be a very serious warning to the American people that, you know, we're in the final stages here. And the Trump administration is known about this. If you go back to the first administration, the first year, his National Security Council, under the leadership of Rich Higgins, director of policy and planning, outlined all of this in a memo for the president. He said there's an alliance of jihadists, Islamists, communists, socialists, globalists. And they're working to, he said, destroy the United States of America, not just as a nation, but even as an ideal. And I really don't think you can understand what's happening without understanding that this is part of a bigger plan. Of course, the Islamists did not invite themselves into our country. We need to keep reminding ourselves of that. They didn't cross the border with an army, right? They were invited in here by globalists and communists, and we need to keep saying that because the jihadists are being used. They're being manipulated.

58 They think they're using the globalists and the communists. The globalists and the communists think they're using them. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who's using who. They all have a common enemy, and that is us, and we need to start taking this seriously. Got to go to a quick break. We've got more from Alex after this. This report is sponsored by IBM. As AI becomes more common in the workplace, HR leaders and employees have different views on the skills needed most. A new global study from the IBM Institute for Business Value finds that 71% of CHROs identify the ability to supervise, validate and override AI outputs as the workforce's most essential skill. but less than one-third of employees prioritize judgment. At the same time, 60% of employees worry AI is eroding their skills, with critical thinking cited most often as declining. Aparna Nair, Chief Talent, Leadership and Culture Officer, IBM.

48 AI is reshaping the way work gets done, but uniquely human capabilities remain essential. As routine tasks become increasingly automated, CHROs play a critical role in creating an environment where people can focus on more strategic work and apply their judgment, creativity, and expertise in ways to drive meaningful impact. 12:59 800-796-3954. 800-796-3954. That's 800-796-3954. Hey, welcome back. I'm Bill Martinez. He's Alex Newman, the CEO. Of Liberty Sentinel Media. He's also the senior editor for the New American Magazine and award-winning international journalist, educator and author. You know, I guess to put a bow around this, I mean, the danger is no longer existential. It's amongst us. We've been seeing this happen in the last couple of decades, more progressively in the last 10 years here in America.

41 And as you said, you know, I think we can be grateful without a doubt that we have a president like Donald Trump that loves America and is doing everything he can without the help of the courts, without the help of Congress for that matter. Yeah, I mean, Trump has really done some important work on the immigration front, and he deserves to be commended for that. I love what he did with the refugee program. I've been trying to raise awareness about the horrors taking place in South Africa since I did a cover story in 2012 in the New American Magazine. If anybody deserves asylum and refugee status in the United States, it is the Afrikaner people who've been relentlessly persecuted by communists and terrorists now for decades. They're being massacred.

22 Exactly. And so, you know, I'm grateful for that. But we need to remember these have not these changes have not been enshrined into federal law. Once the Democrats reclaim power, if they do, and of course they're counting on it, they absolutely intend to get back to exactly what Joe Biden was doing, exactly what Kamala Harris was plotting. It will include mass amnesty. It will include opening the borders again. And, you know, they're playing for all the marbles. You know, we. Republicans keep thinking they're like, oh, we'll just share power back and forth. No, no. If they get power again, they will absolutely use it to fundamentally transform America, as Barack Obama said, with the hope of doing to the United States what they did to California, one party rule forever, keeping Republicans permanent in the minority and basically doing what they will with our country.

09 Well, they'll do the same thing they did in California. I mean, California has been the poster child of all this, right? Absolutely. California is Unfortunately, the template that they're following, and you see the blueprint. They invited millions of illegals into California. They gave them all mass amnesty, and it went from being a solid Republican conservative state to being a Democrat one-party state with no chance of Republicans regaining control at the state level. That's what they're planning for the United States of America. They've done the same thing to Sweden. Sweden is kind of like a little test market where they try out these crazy policies. And if you want to know what America looks like in the future, if we don't stop these totalitarians, you can look at Sweden, you can look at California, and ultimately you can look at communist China.

55 Yeah, without a doubt. Alex, I did want to address something that you just wrote about here, and that is the first teacher-free AI school opens of all places in Chicago, huh? Yeah, and we've been warning that this was coming for years, right? They understand that human teachers have limits to how much they will tolerate. Yeah, a lot of them were willing to teach the kids that they might have been born in the wrong body and that they should be castrated. But as the absurdity of all of this gets more and more obvious and more and more clear— even these teachers, even these progressive liberal teachers, are going to start wondering if this is really appropriate. And plus, the teachers are not very good at harvesting all the data and inputting it into the system. So the totalitarians, Bill Gates, the United Nations, they have been advocating for this for years.

46 Don't believe me? 2019, the UN convened a big conference in Beijing, China, of all places, and they passed the Beijing Consensus on Artificial Intelligence in Education. Go read it. It's all about indoctrinating children. changing their attitudes, their values, their beliefs, and molding them in line with what the United Nations calls for in what they call their 2030 agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals, the Master Plan for Humanity. And right in the text, your children are going to be so brainwashed, educated, that they won't just submit to this ideology from hell, the sustainable development, global citizenship, gender nonsense. they will actively promote it. So they're not hiding what they're doing. And, you know, this school in Chicago, ostensibly a private school backed by a billionaire software developer, but ultimately there is a global agenda here and it's going to be spreading like a cancer if parents aren't careful.

38 So do they get brown shirts on their first day of school? Right. That'd be highly appropriate. But no, it really is a dangerous move. And I think Parents ought to be looking at this and seriously considering their options for exiting. My wife and I, we homeschool our six. We use a marvelous program called Classical Conversations. I'm on the board of an online K-12 Christian school called the Freedom Project Academy. There's a lot of options out there for parents who want to do something different. The government schools are atrocious. The AI schools are not going to be much better. In fact, they may just be more effective at the indoctrination. They openly brag, you know, all the stuff that Bill Gates is doing. They partnered with Claude and Anthropic to create a new tool for teachers to design their lesson plans with AI. They say it's all lined up with the Common Core. Well, if you want your children to be morons... Go ahead and submit them to that because we know Common Core is a dumpster fire. In fact, the only subject matter experts they put on the Common Core Validation Committee admitted it was a dumpster fire. They refused to sign off on it. So, you know, this is a crisis. And I think this crisis is as profound as the crisis of mass migration. If they capture the hearts and minds of the next generation, it's not going to matter. If we get good immigration laws passed, it's not going to matter if Republicans win the next three elections, because over the long term, they've got the children and they understand that the children are the future.

59 Well, exactly. And then here you are. You have dumbed them down, as you said. And welcome to the world of mediocrity, Alex. 100 percent. And it's even worse than mediocrity. You know, out of the eight books that I've written, three of them deal with education. And one of the things that we have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt using primary source documents is that the dumbing down was deliberate. The indoctrination was deliberate. The sexualization was never about safe sex. It was always about destroying the family and the moral framework. And so we have a crisis on our hands, unlike I think anything that humanity has ever seen. Hitler understood, Stalin understood, Mao understood, Castro understood, Pol Pot understood that the way to destroy the old society and retain total power was to capture the young people. That's exactly what they're doing. And if you listen to them, they will tell you that that's what they're doing.

50 Doing. Well, we're back to the age old battle that goes back to the garden, the battle of good and evil. I mean, it's binary. I mean, it's clear. And, you know, you and I can see this clearly. Our audience can see this clearly more and more. And I'm encouraged to a degree, but it's just like you have got to really warrior up and defend your family and defend these traditions that truly have made America great for the last 250 years. Yeah. Amen. It really is a battle between good and evil. You know, the Bible is very clear about what's happening and very clear about what we ought to be doing about it. We should be focused on the Great Commission. We should be resisting evil. In fact, God says if you love God, you will hate what he hates. You will hate evil.

33 Doesn't mean we hate the evildoers. Doesn't mean we hate the sinners. We're called on to love them and pray for them, even if they're persecuting us. But we have to speak in the truth. with boldness and with love. And, you know, we have an obligation, I think, as self-governing citizens, we're born in America, we're supposed to be, you know, governing ourselves. We have an obligation to be good stewards of what our forefathers fought and died for. To let this be freighted away on our watch would just be unconscionable. Well, God blessed us for a reason, Alex. And I think that sometimes people have just taken it for granted, you know, even like the children of Israel in their long history, you know, they were the chosen ones. And it's just part of the human condition that we can.

17 And this is why, you know, voices like ours must continue to be spoken out to be that clarion call for decency and for, you know, for Christian values. Because when you look at what Christian values have done, you know, for the West in Europe and certainly here in America, I mean, it's incomparable. Oh, there's no question. There is no such thing as a free society that's not based on Christian principles, on biblical values, on the revelations that God gave to Moses and through Jesus Christ. And that's a fact, right? I challenge anybody, go find me a pagan society. Go find me an Islamic society where they have freedom. There's no such thing, right? Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. If you don't have the Ten Commandments as your moral framework, In what universe could you come up with the idea that you have a right to life, or you have a right to property, or you have a right to make your own decisions? That only works in a moral system as revealed in the Bible. There's a reason for that. And, of course, that is what led to the fruit that we enjoy, the blessings of prosperity, the blessings of security, the blessings of peace that we've enjoyed for so long. And as we continue to allow the foundations of that to be destroyed, the fruit that we enjoy is going to be disappearing as well.

36 Well, Alex Newman, that's a way to wrap it up and kind of summarize where we are right now. is that it's up to me, it's up to you, the man, the woman in the mirror, to take a stand, a bold stand that's needed. It's almost time for truly a second American Revolution, don't you think? We've got about 15 seconds, so I'll let you wrap it up. Go ahead. Yeah, so we need a counter-revolution. We need to stop the revolution that they are trying to impose on us. I really appreciate you having me on, Bill. My website is www.louisendell.org, www.american.com, and I really appreciate it. Thank you. Alex Newman, God bless you, sir. Take care. God bless you, too. Thanks. Every 40 seconds a child disappears. That's 2,000 children every single day. 26:15 Wilford Riley, the professor of political science at Kentucky State University. Hey, Will, good morning to you. Morning, Bill. Good to be on. Well, France is giving us a little preview of coming attractions. It's like Les Mis 2026 kind of style here. Yeah, except they're stealing Louis Vuitton instead of bread. Yeah, no, the Europeans are often a little ahead in terms of left politics, the way they are in terms of fashion. And I mean, a lot of the things we're seeing in the riots are warnings to the USA. So there's the combo of these organized... There's the combo of these organized sort of left-wing activists with working class, mostly minority teens would be our term, but just guys who want to get out there and fight and cause trouble. And it's really malicious because the first group know where all of the core buildings of the society are, the town halls.

14 back entrances to the Louvre. And they're kind of leading these mobs that include the second group of people. So the French actually surrounded the Louvre, the National Museum, with the men with guns and said, basically, we don't want to kill all you guys, which, but, you know, if you attack the primary art museum of France, we're going to have to respond. We can't have an international incident with Egypt if sarcophagi get carried out of here. Yeah, exactly. But, I mean, the town hall in, it wasn't, I don't want to misname the town, but one of the famous old town halls in France that were built just after Napoleon in 1843 was set on fire. So, I mean, I think that was the most common image people saw online, the spire falling off that building.

57 Exactly. And the building itself being consumed by flames. And I will note, all these people are criminals, so the ethnic background doesn't matter. But interestingly enough, that was one of the white Antifa guys. They caught him. And I think most people assumed this would be sort of a pack of... angry migrant 16-year-olds are out there wild and you don't know what this is. No, this guy knew exactly what this building was. And it was a symbol of post-Napoleonic France. And that's why he wanted to destroy it. His issue was with Western culture in general. So I think that's the thing that stands out the most about that to me. You see, and what sticks out to me on this is that this smacks of globalism. I mean, somebody is pulling their chain here. And I don't think it's just a bunch of rabble-rousing young kids that got frustrated and didn't want cake. This is like we've seen here even in this country. It's not necessarily the young people. You've got to look behind and find out who's providing all the instruments.

56 For these rioters. Yeah, I think there are two levels to that. So on the right, we tend to be people from the business world at a reasonably high level. We tend to think George Soros, this kind of thing. There also are just the left over the past 20 years has done for all their flaws are really good job with this kind of just above street level youth mobilization. So there are a bunch of entities, like the SEIU in the United States comes to mind, the Service Employees Union, the Fund for the Public Interest, bluntly. I usually use another name when I describe any past employer. But that Canvas group that a lot of young salesmen have worked for, all of these people have databases of 600, 700,000 people ever to give, ever to work at McDonald's, whatever. And you can mass email if you're above, say, Canvas manager level that database. I've done something similar. I know many people that have done that. So when you talk about there's this mobilization where 500 young construction worker looking guys suddenly show up. getting off the train, getting out of buses.

00 There's a pallet of bricks right by the demonstration. I actually, I think a lot of young men would know how that happens. And the right doesn't really have a counter to that. I mean, you saw groups like the Proud Boys spring up that actually got pretty effective, but the immediate response was demonization. Like, you guys are out in the street fighting and you're coordinating it? Nazis! As though that there were no Antifa, there were no funds, there were no equivalent. And in France, I think that's a lot of what you're seeing. Like, If I had to guess, the groups that are involved would be the Communist Party of the country, the Socialist Party of the country, their own canvas organizations, GCI grassroots campaign, I think is initially European, Britain.

44 So all of that stuff, there are probably messages going out on Telegram, Facebook, all of that stuff saying we're meeting for a pro-student, pro-Palestine demonstration at this location. You're not going to say come to the riot. But people kind of know what this is. So they're going to show up with their mask, their backpack, fighting stick, all that stuff. And we do that in the USA as well. Yeah, they got their, what is it, their to-go gear in the back ready to go that they've been supplied with. And again, the same narrative from the media, you know, referring to it as mostly peaceful as you look at these, you know, historic buildings that are burning down. What was it? 2,400 people were arrested over the weekend. 1,000 French police officers were injured.

30 I mean, this is a hot mess. And, you know, coming to a theater as if it hasn't already been here in America, right? Yeah, and there really is an incredible attempt to distract from the fact that this has become a feature of European and even American politics, that 90 plus percent of it's on the left, minorities disproportionately represented. And the whole mostly peaceful thing is an element of that. Like, I remember when Trump took heat for describing one of the earlier sort of battles of this kind in Charlottesville, where you had the black bloc from local Antifa fighting with dissident right, alt-right protesters. And he said, look, I don't approve of this kind of street fighting, but there obviously are two sides there. I mean, all these people showed up with army helmets and faces painted. And this was true on both sides. And there was this immediate reaction, like, how can you contrast these fascists with with anti-fascist protesters.

26 And it just struck me as the absurd use of language to confuse reality. Like if you're a black block fighter from Seattle onward who shows up in full black block, I mean, i.e. black from head to toe, ski mask on, baseball bat in your hand, you're going to be described as a protester probably until you kill somebody. And the whole setup about that, by the way, I mean, there's that guy who was, I won't say falsely accused, given the legal background, but who was charged with murder one for driving his car through a mob of basically the other side's fighters to get away. One, unfortunately, heavy young woman tried to jump in front. She got hit, broken rib, heart attack. And I would assume that there are some factors that led up to the heart attack. This guy's in jail. He's in jail for 30, 40 years to go.

16 So there's been this concerted effort in both America and Europe to downplay what's actually going on. The guys with the bike chains that are fighting for communism are anti-fascist demonstrators from our great cities, whereas the guys with the bike chains that are fighting them are murderous clansmen of today and so on. Last thing, but mention the Proud Boys. Enrique Tarrio... Was sentenced, I believe, 20 years in jail. I know. Yeah, right. Exactly. Yeah. For not being at January 6th. He was in communication with some other guys that were there. They were fighting. Sure. They got a couple of years. But that's how you charge conspiracy.

58 Right. I mean, you have a group of people that are technically discussing something illegal. I understand the law. But because of who he was, you're not talking six months. You're talking 20 years. So there's this intense desire to crush this on one side and almost this coddling of it on the other side. And I think everyone to be active in the law on the right sees that. And the story about the Proud Boys, I mean, it seemed to be very, very one sided. And my understanding of the Proud Boys, you know, from years ago, maybe even decades ago, It didn't seem to line up with a narrative that the mainstream media would want you to believe or that, you know, the Democrats would want you to believe about the Proud Boys. Did you think there was consistency there or was it, you know, again, kind of a bit of a kangaroo operation here?

47 No, it's kangaroos all the way down. I mean, no. So, like, I personally, I disapprove of street fighting. I mean, a lot of people have in high school or something. But there was a Byzantine general, Belisarius, who said that his solution to riots was what he called Nika. That's where his most significant fight against rioters occurred. But basically, he herded a bunch of people into a stadium and told them they could either stop Things like brawling over the city's chariot races where he would kill them all. And as I recall, he killed quite a few of them and there was no more rioting. And I think that that sort of Mayor Daley approach is the best approach to mobs of young men beating each other up in public. That's very dangerous. If you're a woman, you can't walk down the street with your kids. But once you establish that, any rule like that does have to go in both ways.

33 We clearly don't have that rule anymore. The Proud Boys, as I understand, and Gavin McInnes, who founded the Proud Boys, has talked about the good and bad in public media a bunch of times. I've sparred with Gavin a few times on social media. His take was we wanted a group of people that were non-racially prejudiced, but they were American patriots. to go out there and counter-demonstrate at some of these marches and, yeah, to fight the other guys football hooligan style and to drink beer afterwards. Right. Well, real quick, we've got to go to break. Let's pick it up on the other side. More from Dr. Wilford Riley after this. Stay with us. A new study finds a major increase in STEM learning in after-school programs, but gaps remain. Today, 92% of parents with children in after-school say STEM is available, up from 69% a decade ago. That's 6.4 million kids now getting STEM in after-school. Emma Binet, Overdeck Family Foundation.

29 This study underscores the remarkable work out-of-school time programs do to help students discover the joy in learning while preparing them to succeed now and into the future. The study finds rural and low-income students are less likely to get frequent STEM opportunities, with rural programs also offering fewer opportunities in computer science and technology. Jody Grant, Executive Director of the After-School Alliance. STEM literacy is no longer optional. It's the foundation of nearly every aspect of our economy. And our world. The next step is clear. Invest more in after-school programs so every child in every community has access to STEM learning after school. To learn more, visit AfterSchoolAlliance.org. Sponsored by AfterSchool Alliance.

He's Dr. Wilford Riley, the political science professor.

19 Well, as you were summarizing, again, the story of the Proud Boys, you know, what was their mission? Go ahead. The Proud Boys, their presentation was we're a Western cultural chauvinist. And again, I'm not defending everything this group did. I wasn't a member of the group. I don't know everything they did. But virtually everything that I've heard said about them in public media as a right-wing man who at this time was fairly young is wildly misrepresentative. So Gavin McInnes set up the group. You can actually look in Encyclopedia Britannica. There's a breakdown of who they were. There were no racial restrictions or anything like that on joining. A disproportionate number of the guys were Samoans, if you're talking about street scuffling and former athletes signing up. A lot of Hispanic members, some Black members. They were, in my opinion, scapegoated groups. for a series of confrontations with groups like Antifa and Black Bloc during the lead-up to kind of George Floyd becoming the ultimate BLM martyr. I mean, there were probably a few of them at Charlottesville. They were definitely there in some scuffles in Boston, New York.

24 And the media presentation on them was sort of racist, white nationalist, unprovoked attackers, abused protesters. So every time you had a group of Proud Boys that were charged for something like street scuffle, fray, they would be charged using, for example, gang enhancements, and they would receive real time in prison. And obviously, this made people more and more cautious about the group. McInnes pulled back from it a little bit. I don't know if the Proud Boys still exist in any real organized sense. I suspect they do. And they're getting a little better with OPSEC on social media and so on. That's pretty much it. I mean, the narrative was these people are out there for the other side, and so they are evil. And I don't know if stupid is the term I'd use, but I think a lot of right-wing guys didn't understand that in the 2010s, that this was going to happen. So when I saw January 6th, and again, I disapprove of rioting, but we'd seen a year of riots in Prior to this, and we'd see another year of riots after this, ending with really Rittenhouse and Kenosha around the same time. Anyway, but when I saw those guys walk into the Capitol, my reaction was these people are going to jail for a while. Not because what they did was worse than some of the more extreme BLM stuff. Remember, Black Lives Matter beat a police department in a medieval battle, mostly because they had greater numbers in Minneapolis.

41 Right. And they set a historic police station, it was the old third precinct, on fire. The cops only got out. Several hundred people would have died because they were able to sort of semi-heroically kick down a sealed back door. So Gen 6 wasn't anything worse or more notable. It was simply, you guys are on camera, they weren't wearing masks, and you guys are on the wrong political side to do this. So we're talking 20 years, and that was pretty much what we saw. I mean, people like the lectern guy are just getting out now and setting up their social presence and so on. Jan 6th was 2020 or 2021. So, I mean, those initial sentences were 10, 15 years. You do get good time, but that's the distinction. I don't think, for example, Tarrio was aware that that was going to be the distinction.

23 Well, I mean, you know, we saw the weaponization of our government, and of course, it's being echoed again. I don't know if you saw the statement from Alyssa Slotkin. warning kids coming out of college that maybe you might not want to support, you know, the Republican Party because you will pay a price. I mean, it's like, well, like we haven't gone through that, you know, that nightmare before in the last 10 years under Obama and Biden. I mean, you know, I think I told you our show alone when Biden was elected. We took a 70 percent hit. Because of the weaponization against our show, you know, specifically because we talked about things that were of faith, of Christianity and conservatism. And, you know, we got our ankles cut out from right out from underneath us. And, Will, I can tell you, by the grace of God, I thought about it after the fact.

21 I go, God, we made it. You know, we made it through, you know, a hard four years to take that kind of hit. I mean, so honesty compels me to say that weaponization of the government that occurs in most countries, it does occur under Republican administrations as well. I mean, I think this Ilhan Omar thing going on now is hilarious and it seems to be justified. However. If Ilhan Omar had been a solidly voting Republican from Cuba, I mean, are they going to be digging through the records of her father and all this? What did he do in the old regime? Well, it wouldn't be the Trump administration. It probably would have been the Biden administration that did it, you know? Which, interestingly enough, it started under Biden, right? Yeah, no, but that was one of the points I was going to make. I do think the difference between Biden and Obama's weaponization of DOJ, and I can say this even from a strict professional standpoint, was the targeting of almost random citizens, right? I mean, I remember Dinesh D'Souza made a movie looking at kind of the anticolonial origins of Barack Obama. His father was a Kenyan chief and this kind of thing. And Obama went after, like, I will say, when there's a Democrat, not that I always am not, but when there's a Democratic president who might be aware of me, I'm very careful about my tax. Like, that's all getting paid. There's no boat deduction. I mean, you know, they might come for you. So, I mean, Dinesh D'Souza, what he actually did was he gave his buddy a check in a congressional race. There was like a few dollars over the limit. I forget what that even would be at that time, $ 2, 500. Then he had his wife write a check. And I don't even see how that would be illegal. But maybe he had his

51 daughter write a check or something. So several checks went into this guy. And the allegation was that this was a campaign finance violation because Dinesh had contributed three times to one candidate. I've never I mean, I graduated from Illinois law in 2005. I've never seen anything like this prosecuted before. And this case began less than a year after D'Souza's movie made that list of bestselling documentaries. So that, I think, is the stuff citizens should get worried about. Like the president is vindictive enough that he's looking at media that criticizes him and like having the editor audit it. And I did see more of that, even as versus Biden. I saw more of that with Barack Obama than with anybody else. So there's the level of, yeah, you're going to chase your opponents around at the very highest level and Trump and Biden are going to look at each other.

38 Then there's the level of like, we're going to literally have DOJ audit Tea Party conservative groups. That's another thing Barack Obama did. Anyone with Tea Party of the name got audited. It turns out we're no less likely to steal than anybody else. So again, some group of people went, probably a little less likely, but some people actually went to jail for that. There are these minor tax disclosure issues and so on. So that I think All citizens should have a real problem with that because you're not going to be in power forever. If somebody finds that your wife's small business on Etsy is losing money, could you expect your state's senator to pursue her in the courts? And I think 99% of people would say, no, that's a private matter. Right, exactly.

19 Well, and the thing is, like with the Tea Party, you bring that up again, and that aggravates me because that's still in play. Lois Lerner, with a wink and a nod- from President Obama goes after everything that was Tea Party, everything that was conservative, everything of any kind of religious ilk even, and refused to give them tax exemption. And I still maintain, well, to this. Very day, what they did to the Tea Party patriots is they They took them out, and it's probably affected, I'd say, at least 12 voting cycles, conservatively, because the Tea Party patriots are no longer around.

59 Yeah, I would say that's correct. Like, when I was... So, looking back to this time, like 2008 to 2012, I had friends that were involved in the Tea Party. These were usually older guys I would do things like fish with. And I had friends that were involved with the younger Occupy movement, frankly. And one of the conspiracy theories I'll always cling to is that Occupy and the Tea Party were... was formally broken by the government. A lot of people will say, like, it's the rich man. They didn't want the ordinary people realizing that they had a lot of power. And that's probably true. I mean, the Tea Party had some positions on taxes that were very controversial. Occupy, I mean, they had some actual communists in their ranks. They're camping out in the buildings. So, you know, of course, if you're a stockbroker, do you love this? Maybe not. But what you actually find is that there was official government investigation of the financial records of almost every large organization on both of those sides. And some of them, like TPP, were obviously targeted against by the highest levels of the state.

54 So when you're playing in politics at this level, when you're starting to run Tea Party congressional candidates, and the Tea Party got some guys elected, you're in those shark-infested waters. That's no illusion. It's not an accident that you get audited. I mean, how many group-level audits are there in a year? 200? If 100 of them are of right leaning groups in one year, you kind of know what that is. Also, again, this is just conspiratorial, but a lot of those Tea Party guys like Joe Walsh have totally flipped now and become sort of left wing online public figures. You don't want to say that someone get to them, but that the progression is is unusual. Like it starts very sharply from a certain point. So there is governmental and even intelligence agency involvement with internal domestic politics. And it's something I really try to stay away from. And I think a lot of people do. But that you have to be aware of and you have to be able to counter.

50 Well, like you say, you know, we've got ways to control you. I mean, it's straight out of the Communist Manifesto and other totalitarian governments. One way or another, I mean, they'll get you to fall in line. I mean, if you're in China, it's real simple. Next thing you know, you don't have funds in your bank account. You can't drive your car. Everything's shut down. I mean, they have that kind of power. And not surprisingly, but there's people here, even in this country, that envy that kind of power and you know, would love to just obliterate our Constitution in order to do that. It's worth noting, and I'm not, again, I'm not defending the hardest edge of the alt-right, but there are civil rights we all should have. We have those capabilities in the USA already. And there are people, there are a few on the military right, but there are a ton on the political left that would like to use them.

45 Example that I always give here, I had a debate with Jared Taylor, who's really the founder of the alt-right in 2016. It was actually very civil. I mean, it I definitely would say he's a bigot by most American standards, but his perspective is I grew up in Japan. There's a lot to be said for ethno-nationalism, and he would make these cases. And my case in response is basically us. I mean, we're technically minorities. The actual USA, the way it looks, we're not deporting the Native American Indians. So we had a debate. We had a two-hour debate about whether the USA should be slightly more or less diverse. And then we went to dinner. I mean, he was a perfectly normal guy in this respect, civilly. But when I was talking with some of the people that he knew, and a lot of these people were much more mainstream, though, like they would say things like, you know, I can't fly on planes. And I would ask, well, how does that even happen? And the answer is that there are certain groups. American Renaissance was one of them, but closer to the mainstream, V-Dare was one of them. So if you're on a list associated with these groups, as though you were a Latin king or a hell's angel, you can't get on the plane. Exactly.

45 We've got to leave it there for now, as always. Look forward to our next conversation. He's a professor of political science at Kentucky State University, the author of Taboo, 10 Facts You Can't Talk About, and Lives My Liberal Teachers Taught Me, Dr. Wilfred Reilly. Thank you, Will.
