Doctor Paul Kengore joins us now the American Author, Professor of political Science at Grove City College, Senior director of the Institute for Faith and Freedom of Grove City College think Tank, also a visiting fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace. Doctor Ken Gore, Always good to have you with us. How are you, sir?

0:43 Always going to be with you, Bill? Thanks man. Well, lots to catch up on. First of all, we got to talk about what happened in DC at that infamous hotel almost well, well, another assassination attempt, the third one on this president that you know, kind of refreshingly, I guess, in contrast to some of the things that were spouted out there. You had a Democratic congressman saying, hey, quit trying to murder our president, right. Yeah, yeah, no, it's good to see. I mean, we need to hear more of that. And I mean, this has been what at least the third assassination attempt, and of course the major one in my hometown of Butler, Pennsylvania, and.

1:23 We still don't know all about yet. Baul, I know, I know, And I got to tell you this, This one really shocked me, Bill, because I mean it was at the White. House Correspondence dinner, right of all places. And we had we were having family movie night at the ken Gore home and we were watching a good old black and white movie I Confess with Montgomery Cliffs, you know, and really. Yeah, yeah, I love that, Yeah, yeah, great movie. And my eighteen year old son comes running into the room and says that, you know, there's been an assassination attempt at the White House Correspondence dinner. And I immediately thought, well. That's got to be like an inside job with somebody from security, because I mean, nobody could possibly get into the White House Correspondence dinner with a gun, right right.

2:11 And then of course you know it was not an inside thing. It was somebody from the outside. And when I saw the video of the guy running in there, I gotta tell you, Bill, I thought, you know, how do you prevent that? Yeah? He was like flash Gordon, right, yeah, yeah? And I and I read that that there were several shots, and that only no one died, and that one security guy was hit in the chest with a bulletproof vest on, and and that the and that the perpetrator wasn't hit once, And I thought, well, how's that possible? Then again I watched the video and the guy just goes flying in there through security, and I, I just don't see. I've been in many events, and I thought, you know, if somebody just made a mad dash, you know, through that detector or whatever, you know, who's going to stop them?

3:00 Right? And and and. That guy, that guy quite literally got through and you know, almost got inside. And it just shows how you really can't you really can't prevent everything, right exactly. Well, the thing is, I'm thinking, you know, shots fired, you know, all all those officers on that patrol need to be at the range right and take some target practice. And it's one thing I mean I understand look at inn a situation. According to doctor John Lott, in a situation where you have live AMMO going on, I think the hit rate something like forty Paul, Wow, but to have zero you know, it's like what you know, this is the getting that can shoot straight if you got zero percent of hitting anybody, and the only one that's successful is the perpetrator who hits uh, you know, hits the agent. Unfortunately, he had a you know, like you said, he had a protective vet and saved his life.

Well, at that point when they're all shooting at the perpetrator, I mean, if you wonder, I mean, where their bullet's gonna hit, right, It's kind of like again the Butler situation, they were probably more concerned about shooting one another shooting somebody on the other side of that door. I mean, you really got you really kind of you got to get your gun out and focused on the guy and that trigger pulled and what maybe. Two or three seconds exactly. So it's really I just can't blame security at all, because there's some things in life that you just can't prevent. And I don't know, maybe did the guy come off an elevator, did he come up the stairs?

4:47 I don't know, Well, he was well, he was there. He had a room, so he was able to access the ballroom, you know, through stairs before the mag so he didn't have to go through and nobody could see. And the thing is is that he was so targeted on Trump. There was one guest that said that in those kinds of situations, as you know, Paul, in those kind of convention settings, you could sit there at the bar and just watch all the celebrities passing through, right right. If you wanted to be really crazy, you could just sit there in the bar and just open up as these celebrities were going through. But he was clearly he was targeting Donald Trump, and Donald Trump was going to be coming you know through, you know through normal you know, the normal passage that most of the guests would be coming through.

5:36 Right, Yeah, no, that's right, that's right. And you know, as a Reagan as a Reagan scholar, I immediately thought back to the same place, the Washington actually yeah, yeah, March thirtieth, nineteen eighty one. And in that case, John Hickley was actually staying in a hotel across the street, and that morning he read in the in the local paper, I think it was the Washington Star, which doesn't exist any more, that Ronald Reagan was going to be speaking right across the street at the Washington, Hilton, and up until that point, Hinckley was just trying to get the attention of Jodie Foster the action right, right, So, I mean, he could have taken out anybody. In fact, he had his eye on Ted Kennedy. We found out later, Oh wow, And he just happened to look in the paper and.

6:20 Say, you know, wow, shazam, look at that. You know, the President's going to be right across the street. So he goes out there and shoots at the president. Of security in those days was much different, not as good as it is now. But once again, you know, the guy who pulled the trigger was a young guy, maybe in his twenties like Hinckley, very well educated. And he's just he's staying in. A hotel room right there, either on the premises or just right outside the premises and gets in. So yeah, bad situation. I was really shocked, really shocked. I don't know how, you know, how you really patrol this. I mean, like you said, in so many ways, you're thankful for the job that law enforcement that you know, FBI and the President's detail and Secret Service and that all in the middle of them still being without a paycheck for what's seventy days now and growing, this.

7:18 Is right, Yeah, no, that's exactly right. Yeah, yeah, you'd not and I guess they were probably there. Well, the guy was probably there who stopped him, probably hadn't been paid in a couple months. Yeah. Yeah, that's disgusting, you know that we find ourselves not to mention the fact that, oh, yeah, we still have a war going on in Iran, you know, call it a war not whatever you want to call it. And we've already had probably at least four incentivized attacks in the homeland here, incentivized by what's going on in Iran. But you know, the news doesn't want to report on that. Democrats don't want to talk about that. They just want us, you know, to be at each other's throats instead of, you know, trying to come together. This is why I was so grateful for Representative Perez, Marie Perez to say, you know, quld you know, stop trying to murder our president.

8:08 Right right? Yeah, And did you notice too, how the look on Malania Trump's space exactly? I mean that was I. Think I think she was more intuitive of what was happening. You know, people thought, well, maybe it was some silverware. But she sensed in her spidery sort of way that that was not a good sound. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you could tell. And you know Donald Trump had almost an expressionless look, right, and you know kind of from the very outset right his space that had just this kind of fixed look like he was already occupied with other things. And then of. Course the psychic there right, the psychic's talking to them.

Well, Paul, thank god, thank god it was it was stopped. But there's no doubt that this president requires, in know, a more hardened and concerted detail. Uh.

14:05 And I don't know what else these guys can do. But it also, I think raises the reason for why a White House ballroom that Donald Trump has designed and has been putting into a bag. Maybe this makes this go through with less uh, you know, less acrimony. Yeah, maybe, so, I mean, I guess, I guess this is this is a good argument for the White House ballroom, right exactly. In fact, I was asked by my son, who was the first to make me aware of this, and he said, he said, well, well, this is at the White House, right, And I said, no, I don't think so, I said, I know. He said, it's called the White House Correspondence Dinner. I said, yeah, but I don't think they have it at the White House, right, And and you know, and indeed they didn't. But had it been at the White House, yeah, it definitely would have been a lot more secure. So, you know, Donald Trump, if he gets that ballroom built, will definitely help the security of future presidents and again, it's hard to imagine another president being as hated as Donald Trump. A Democrat president, I'm sure would be safe because it seems like, you know, Republicans, even though every Republican owns a gun and knows how to use one, right, they're not out shooting at Democratic presidents.

15:19 We have a piece from. David Catron, an American spectator today about the long history of you know, radical left wingers shooting Republican presidents and in fact, even the Democrat president that was shot, John F. Kennedy, was a conservative Democrat, and he was shot by a communist, the Oswald. So you know, the you know, the left all the time likes to portray their right and the alt right and the ultra nationalists and gun nuts, is these violent extremists. But in every case, pretty much every case, most cases, I'll say most cases, you know, the shooter is somebody from the left, and the most recent year a shooter who was successful in this target, who killed you, the youngest star in the conservative movement, Charlie kirk Kirk exactly.

16:12 Yeah. And the thing is is that the left is quick to want to you know, point out or at least redirect a narrative to say, whoa, it's it's the those white supremacists. And of course all this narrative is starting to fall apart as more and more information is coming out regarding you know, Charleston, South Carolina, and what the Southern Poverty Law Center did to orchestrate that. Right, Oh yeah, that's exactly right. In fact, we had a long piece and American Spectator several months ago by. Our l e. Guardie Holmes writing about the SBLC and the long report that it had done on Turning Point, USA and Charlie Kirk just a few months before.

16:57 And the SBLC has this. Insidious, if not evil, record of identifying certain people as hate groups or hate individuals and then those groups and individuals being targeted. In fact, that the really infamous example that occurred, probably almost twenty years ago now was the case of Family Research Council in Washington, DC, where the guy had a list of SPLC hate groups and knew that the Family Research Council had been listed as a hate group. And by the way, why what's Family Research Council doing. They're not doing anything that has anything to do with fascism, Nazism or alt right or anything like that.

17:40 They're in favor of traditional marriage, they're against gender transitioning, but for the modern SPLC, that makes you a hate group. So this guy walks into Family Research Council headquarters and by the way, Bill I had, my student assistant, was there as an intern, and I had at least two other students alumni of Grove City who were working inside, as well as several friends inside. I've been to that building probably ten times. And the guy goes in with Chick fil A bags filled up with camo, and the only way that he was stopped was by this wonderful security guard via this big former like NFL looking player who tapped them and stopped them. Otherwise that guy would have went in there and massacred people inside the Family Research Council. So s people see has been you know for years, and I know other people, and in fact, it's it's another it's a I won't say where it.

18:36 Is, but it's another. It's a state based family group modeled after Family Research Center. And they got put on SPLC's hate group list because they were because they're in supportive traditional marriage and against same sex marriage. And they immediately had to put new locks on all the doors they had to put cameras through the building. So I mean people, you know, can can. Go out gunning quite literally for some of these people that they consider hate individuals after groups like the SBLC identify him that way. And of course, the guy who shot Charlie Kirk, Yeah exactly. Yeah, take this hate monger and all the other stuff, and he was LGBTQ, that guy was so yeah, I'm so glad to see the Southern Poverty Law Center finally being exposed because this group is responsible for so many bad things.

19:27 You know, Paul, the fruit on the tree is clear. All you need to see is the fruit. And you got to quit denying it. Conservatives got to quit baring their head in the sand, and they have to insist on civility. It's kind of like what Justice Thomas was referring to here recently in talking about the breakdown of civility and how progressivism is upending and you know, is becoming quite deleterious to the American idea. Yeah, yeah, no question, and and Justice Thomas knows. That very well. In fact, his wife, Ginny Thomas I used to be in one of those large email group recipient lists with her, and she's she's a well known conservative. She's definitely know what you consider like a kind of a conservative activist, I guess. And and in fact, because of that, the left has really gone after her and they've tried to move justice Thomas recuse himself from you know, certain rulings just because his wife is a conservative. Yeah, that's completely insane.

20:35 But yeah, but again so and Thomas. I mean, back when you could look at the litany of hate, somebody did an article or a book about this. He can't remember. I think it was might have even been in the New York Times. It was a couple of liberal academics who called out fellow leftists for their racist attacks and language on Claire Frence Thomas after one of the court rulings and said, you know, this would never be tolerated by liberals, by progressives, if this, if this was happening in the other direction, exactly. Well, we're talking about doctor Paul ken Gore, author of the book American Pontiff, at which we talked about the last time he was here, and I did you know, we got a couple of minutes left. I wanted to wrap this up here with you know, the kerfuffle between the Pope and Donald Trump, And it was interesting because initially if people were saying, well that's it, you know, Trump's going to lose the Catholic vote, But latest polling says it took a minor hit initially, but actually the support of Trump is actually increased since the kerfuffle. Did you see that.

21:45 Well, I've seen a lot of polls on I did a presentation on this last week actually, so I had all the polls and he was forty one percent approval overall in the real clear politics. I looked at this last Thursday. I think it was one poll had him with own thirty three percent, but that was a definite outlier. I don't know what the very latest start, but he he seems to have backed off bill, which is a good thing because you don't want to pick a fight with the Pope, especially in that kind of personal language that Donald Coope was using. I mean, that was just silly and stupid, and I think he learned that, and I think he's backing off, which he should. Yeah, yeah, I think that, you know, Donald Trump at some point hopefully would amend his comments by saying, you know, I agree with the Pope and he and I both are praying for peace for Iran, right, yeah.

22:37 And that's what popes do. I mean popes that would make a case for war, they just don't do that, right, It's just the you know, the pope calls for peace, that's all, you know. And I know they could argue, well. I should be condemning the Iranians and you know the Islamo. It's just not what they do. Guys. Look, John Paul the Second called George W. Bush's war against the Rock and unjust war. All right, Bush didn't explode. I mean Trump pretty much called Bush's war against the Rock and unjust war. Said Bush lied, So we lighten up, mister president. Right, it's the pope, and you know, you don't need a fight with the head of the universal Roman Catholic Church. And you bring up a good point, whether it's the pope or the left or all this stuff, is that you know, leadership is required right now to turn down the temperature. And my prayer is that Donald Trump would be a true leader for peace and that he would not be so thin skinned at times and think about it, maybe be a little bit more measured in his reactive comments, to think about Okay, am I adding fuel to the fire?

23:41 Or am I promoting peace by the statements that I make? Well, it's right. And if you really look at the Pope's statements, he never mentioned Donald Trump at all in any of those initial comments, and even the Trump threat to annihilate an entire civilization Trump at that point, the Pope said, statement about ending entire similations of people are morally unacceptable. He'd even use the word Trump, and at that point he's just speaking as the Pope, Statements like that are unacceptable. I mean, just war theory says you don't target civilians especially, don't want to say you're going to wipe out ninety three million Iranians who you say you're you're for them. Yeah, but you don't think that Donald Trump meant that he was going to wipe out ninety three million you know Iranians, do you?

24:27 I was. I didn't think he would. I figured it was just his usual bluster. But like the Pope said, statements like that are even mortally unacceptable, right, which. Goes back to what we were saying earlier. Statements from everybody, including the President of the United States, you know, congressional leadership, and that on and all. You know you're contributing to this, this heated rhetoric. Now, you know you've got what twenty percent of America supposedly, in some pulling it says, it's okay to you know, kill a political figure. Right. Yeah, you got to cool the rhetoric before the rhetoric leads to real action.

Mother's Day in the rearview mirror. This was probably one of the best, better Mother's Day's experience that I've had, you know, And it was, you know, because sometimes I think, especially for guys, we have a lot of pressure, you know, to meet expectation, to make sure that everything is perfect. You got the right reservations at the right restaurant and all these things and and uh everything and at custom Martinez here, you know, temporarily in California.

30:19 I had three of my sons with us and my daughter in law and we just kept it simple, you know. We stayed away from the bushy restaurant and said, hey, why why don't we just cook some burgers at home, and so we confiscated their kitchen and our son, my son, the youngest, who uh, he's worked at several Michelin Star restaurants. This guy, this guy said, you know, he can cook, he can cook, he knows how to cook them. And I mean, Jeff, it was the best burger I've ever had, and I needed it because I was telling everybody, you know, being you know, living in the East Coast, away from in and out where I grew up with in and out burgers, I was looking forward to a delicious in and out burger and believe it or not, my first time ever, it was terrible. And I told my son, I said, thank god, you kind of got that mad teeth out of my mouth. But but you know that aside, it was just the idea that we all just sat together around the table just getting caught up with each other's life. And you know, I was particularly interested in watching my daughter in law to see her response, and she was just, you know, just smile on her face because we went and allower in the kitchen says, you're not going in the kitchen, you're not cooking, you're not cleaning.

31:32 You just sit there. We're going to honor you. And and you know, and you and I kind of were touching on this a little bit. I think the important things for moms is they want to see their family congealing and just enjoying, and I think that brings out I think a sense of contentment for moms. What do you think, Well, I totally agree. Moms are about nurture and togetherness. You know that that phrase homemaker. Yeah, that's a very powerful, valuable, crucial role, probably the most important one in America, because when homes don't thrive, kids don't thrive. When kids don't thrive, their character doesn't grow.

32:12 When their character is strong, we have all sorts of problems, and then that's the lack of leadership in the future. But moms are building the future every day by shaping the character of their kids. And then they love the togetherness of a dinner table or a Christmas morning together or Eastern Morning together. But you know what, it's not just a special occasions like Mother's Day. You said it's in the rearview mirror. It ought to be in the windshield. In other words, a day dads need to honor the mother and their family, their wife who's raising kids, or if it's a divorced situation or a step family, honoring the mother of your kids is crucial, you know. And I was talking with a friend of mine who was reminding himself the pressure is not buying the perfect gift, because at the end of the day, what a mom wants more than gifts and stuff is help help. And you know your sons who can cook and kept his wife out of the kitchen, that's help. And the dad who takes care and keeps the kids busy and is investing in them is helping, you know. And of course there's many to do tasks and things around the house.

33:27 In my case, my wife is really good at so many fix it things and home things that she carries a heavy burden. So when she asked me to do something, I need to do it. But my funny story is back when we were raising kids, and it was that two minute drill of the day she called it, when she was trying to get dinner on the table at about five twenty five forty and there are three or four little kids running around the kitchen, talker trucks going through the kitchen, and kids running routes in the kitchen. And I'd come home, and my love language is our physical touch and words of affirmation to make my wife feel good, at least in my mind, I'd come up and put my hands on her shoulders, made me massager a little bit at the sank or the oven or stove or wherever she was, and then whisper I love you, and she'd say, I don't need that right now, can you get these kids and take them outside and play with them. I'm trying to get dinner on the table.

34:18 This is the two minute drill. You don't walk in the huddle and say hey, how you doing? And it was so funny. So really, which her love language was service. Yeah, and moms are always serving, so to serve them and bring help is truly important. So I started learning. It's kind of slow at first, but i'd grab the boys, get them outside. Uh, And then the hard part is getting me to get them inside sat down in time because I want to keep playing games. Right. That's the other way I serve her when she says it's on the table, bring them in, sat down, don't have Okay, one more pitch or you know, one more home run before we go in. So I think i'd like that line that what a mom wants more than stuff is help. And it fits in the word honor.

Yeah, And as you say, even though I refer to it as the rear view mirror behind us, but we should keep it up front and center to where we honor. And that is a dynamic word and a dynamic experience because you can find very simplistic ways that are very very powerful in honoring and serving one another, can't you? Yeah? And you know a lot of us forget that. One of the simplest way to figure out how to do the thing that really improves your relationship with someone and honors them and means a lot to them is to ask them yeah, and to say things like, hey, how am I doing at valuing you and helping you? And maybe she'll say four or five, six, don't roll your eyes, say come on, I at least an eight, and then said, well what could I do to be to move closer to a ten? You know, I want to love you well?

36:21 How well am I loving you? And what could I what could I do to love you better? That question, whether you use my friend Gary Smalley's zero to ten, how am I doing right? And then how can I move closer to ten? Or just the simple question how can I love you? How can I help you? How can I value you better? And then listen and you get that coaching from them. So it really is very other centered, making you almost focused on serving them in the love language that matters to them. And this goes both ways with the same thing with dads and their kids. And you know, here we are bill Father's Day. It's a day where, you know, one day year we say oh, thanks dads, But I think Father's Day again, like Mother's Day, needs to be thought of every day. And the best thing a dad can do is ask us kids, how can I love you better? And maybe sometimes they can ask their wife, Hey, what insights do you have about the way I treat Susie versus Tommy? Because our kids are different, and sometimes our wives read the relationships and their character and can give us some insight. But that question direct to your kid, Hey, how can I love you better? That's a wonderful question that will help us dads make a really successful impact on our kids' lives.

37:41 And if it's if it's a challenge, and I can see sometimes it's a challenge for guys to say, how can I love you better? Even as this, you know, how can I help you? Know? Like what you talked about earlier. Help is one of those words that has a lot of power, you know behind it. It seems to me because sometimes when you ask somebody how can I love you better? It gets it gets I don't know, can be complicated, I. Guess because you're right the simplicity of I'm talking about what practical things can I do? And help is a great one to ask. I have a fa like that really good CEO, and he used to ask all his staff one on one on Fridays, Hey, how can I help you? What can I do to make your job easier? That's the same approach for good moms asking their kids, good dads asking their sons, and husbands and wives asking each other.

38:29 And the thing is is that it is countercultural to your points, Jeff. You know, most of the world doesn't even stop to consider what you and I are talking about. And you know the difference in contrast that you can make sometimes it's nothing so unusual and you know, magical as much as it is just a little bit just being a little bit different, you know, just being five percent better than you were yesterday. Right, Well, Bill, when you contrast it with what the world doesn't two things this way. Basically you're saying the world is into self and into consumption and getting what I want, which makes us complain about others. But we don't behave very well to get a good result from others. So flipping the equation is be like Jesus who put the interests of others ahead of himself, and that is investing in the relationship. You know, Hey, how can I love you better? How can I help you more? That is an investor question versus hey.

And she serves as a writer and spokesperson for Focus on the Family. And we're talking about what's going on in Colorado. It seems to be the focal point of you know, these bortifation drugs that people want to hand out, I guess in vending machines, even on college campuses. What is going on?

45:01 Yeah, we have a new law that's making its way through the legislature. It's about to be approved through the second chamber and that's fully expected to pass, and once it does, we fully expect the governor to sign it into law. So Colorado will be the next state and only the sixth out of our fifty state union, to require colleges and universities to provide abortion pills to college students if they have healthcare centers, your healthcare center has to have abortion pills available for students to access. How about religious schools? Same thing? So right now there is a carve out for religious schools, which are grateful as in there. However, I think it's very important for all of us to see this isn't an action to try to institutionalize abortion pills in tax payer supported education institution systems. So it might be colleges today, but who's to say it's not going to be high schools tomorrow.

45:56 Well exactly, and Nicole here, this is being rolled down in such a way that the data is kept from us. We're really not sure what is you know, what's the downside of the abortion pills. I mean we hear anecdotally, you know, a lot of bad news associated with the abortipation pills. But no, I mean, full steam ahead, We're just going to keep on rolling, just like we did in COVID. I guess right. No, that's absolutely right. And the other states that have passed this law, this type of law, California, New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, Illinois, there are all states that are intentionally not reporting on the statistics of abortion because obviously, when you have data, you can come to conclusions, and some of that data points to the fact that these abortion pills, which I want to remind your viewers, over sixty percent of the abortions committed in the United States every year are done through abortion pills. So it's the majority of the ways that Americans are getting abortions today. We really don't have much of an idea of how much cast how much harm it is causing women, except that the Ethics and Public Policy Institute came out last May with a study that showed that the rate of incident is at least twenty two times higher for some serious health adverse reaction for women than what's on the label. So we know it's hurting women, but states are intentionally not tracking this information because they don't want to know, because then they would have to tell the public.

47:24 Well, Gail, what happened to the idea of the consent to the govern right? I mean, in order to render consent, you should be well informed, and in this case, you're purposely being kept in the dark year with this information that is so neat. I mean, you're talking about people's health and they're turning women. They're turning our women into laborrats, ladies and gentlemen. Right. And the truth of the matter is is that a majority of Americans. A study just came out in the last month and it's seventy percent of Americans all believe And that's across the political spectrum all believe that there ought to be more over site over abortion pills, and that's because women love. Women are loved. They are they you know, there's a that's someone's sister, that's someone's wife, that's someone's daughter. They want to make sure that women are protected from adverse effects, or at least that they have the opportunity, as you said, to make an informed decision.

We know that the abortion pill kills always when we're talking about the child, unless that woman has a change of heart and she takes the reversal which is called abortion pill reversal. But when those pills are taken, women need to be need to have informed consent so that they are making that decision knowing that their lives could be at risk. They're in step with, you know, with the progressive left that is keeping us all in the dark. And meanwhile women are being injured. I mean, we went from hashtag women and loving and protecting women being so sensitive and in less than a decade, it's like, let's just throw caution to the wind, and who cares what sports they play in? Who cares what kind of chemicals that they are exposed to, and what kind of lifelong damage and permanent damage it's done to them?

49:43 Right, And don't forget the same folks that support these abortion pills came out with the campaign Shout Your Abortion, in which they encourage women, do not be shamed by the fact you've had abortions. Let's be loud and let's be proud. The same people came out with a child's book this last December calling abortion a superpower. So there is. Serious indoctrination happening by the abortion movement. The pro life movement needs to take it seriously. We need to invest in the next generation of children, teaching them the truth about life. The life does begin in conception, and that that life has value. Even if you're not a Christian. We know that it has value because God gives it value. But even if you're not a Christian, you teach the children that that life is a human life and human life has value. That's an American tradition.

50:29 Well, it is an American tradition. It's all being challenged, just like all the godly traditions that we failed to and have taken for granted. And it's all under attack right now. It's like they're not just attacking Christians. I mean they are attacking God himself, who sanctifies birth, who sanctifies who has sanctified life, and they seem to know better. And it's like where we are, it's our country is becoming so bifurcated and disunited over these issues because they defy common sense. Nicole. And you can go in and you can shout your abortion and you know, rally and say all these things that just do not make sense. But you know, these individuals have to go home to themselves and deal with this lie. And at some point, as we know, we've all experienced where we want to embrace something we think is the truth we want to believe to be the truth, and then we kind of know in our hearts and hearts that it's not really truthful until we just finally reconcile it by the grace of God, and we go, go. I was an idiot, you know.

51:35 Now. I think that it's incumbent upon us as Christians to be truth tellers to a culture that needs to hear the truth. Don't worry about offending others. Speak the truth with love. But if they don't know, if their eyes have been blind, if the culture has steals of darkness over their eyes, we have to share the truth. And so it's incumbent upon us. And we know that we're going to stand before our creator and he's going to ask us if we were a witness to the truth. And this is the truth that God designed humanity, and that he designed male and female, and all of these things are reflection of what God calls good. So don't reject God's goodness. This is his design for human flourishing. Yeah, as you say, Nicole, the first thing is God loves you. The second thing to keep in mind is God loves your baby as much as he loves you.

Ponder on that for a moment, and if that doesn't, you know, shake and rock your world for just a moment to realize that, you know, this isn't a curse. I mean, the culture would say, oh, it is a curse. It's going to impact your lives. I mean, they don't want to hear the success stories of women and families who yeah. I mean, I don't know if anybody's ever been perfectly aligned and their finances were correct and they were up to date on their car payments and everything when they decided, okay, it's time to have a baby, especially when it's the first couple of you know, babies that come along into life, and it seems that they end up being such an incredible blessing because it demonstrates to you the faithfulness of God who is there and brings you through those tough times that you go, well, you know, we ate a lot of top ramen, but my goodness, I mean, look look at what we have here. You know, this family that's been so blessed that you know, as the Bible says, they who know their God will do mighty exploits, and it's not so much about the exploits, you know, it's extraordinary because other people look at families like that and they say, whoa, you're so blessed and you're so go yeah, because we know God. That's that's what it's all about, right.

53:47 Know him, trust him, love him, serve him. That is what it's all about. And I always encourage folks because there's never going to be a great time to have a baby. I was going through law school when I got married. In my first year of law school, and I was at night. I was in night law school while I had a job during the day. But I got married and my first year, had a baby, in my second year, a baby in my third year, and a baby in my last year, so you know what, and then a baby after that, and then I became a lawyer. I took the bar and became a lawyer, and I stood there and took my oath with all four of my kids and my husband next to me, and you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way. It was such a proud moment because we all got there together. And so I just encourage women, don't say no to having a family. Because you're not sure how it's all going to work out. That's part of trusting God and having faith in him.

And the thing is is that, sadly, as I mentioned, we have you know, a good portion of the country if you want to say, fifty percent of the country roughly that has this alternative view, that is, it's not consistent with the values of God, and with that they lose and surrender the blessings that were intended for them because they chose not to do it. We need to pray like we've never prayed before about this issue, and that the eyes of those that have been dark and would be open up to see the blessing, the blessings of God and see the truth of God and how they would be liberated like they never thought could be possible.

He ran right by it, ran straight up towards you know, the metal detectors, and just kept on running. But we'll get all that pinned down shortly. Here's some interesting facts about him, you know, is that, of course he's a RACI or Democratic. I mean, that doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is he's a teacher in California.

I have eight and ten year old boys, and my wife and I have custodial accounts for them all.

To my mind, we all missed out by not having the opportunity to live under his presidency. I think he would have been a fantastic president at the time in the nineties. He had a very simple way of looking at Americans. There's two kinds of Americans. You're either pulling the wagon or you're in the wagon. And the idea was, we want fewer and fewer people in the way being pulled by more and more people, so that that distributes the weight more equitably.

And they get there and they you know, they're taking care of a little bit and they get comfortable, and here it is like you said, We've got a wagon full of people who are not not pulling their weight. And it's so Unamerican, you know when you think about the founding and we had some tough times, you know, during the depression, and how people you know, they looked at, you know, government aid is something to you know, somewhat be ashamed of. And I get that, you know, because they you know, people we're Americans, We're not Americans, and you know, we'll get the job done. And it's counterintuitive,
