With a view from Jerusalem, Alex Traiman, the CEO and Jerusalem Bureau Chief of Jewish News Syndicate reports the latest on the Israel-Hamas War. From the international pressure for a cease fire to hostage negotiations. As Golda Meir said, if Hamas would drop their weapons and surrender the killing will stop. But if Israel dropped its weapons, Israel would be no more. For Israel it’s a life-or-death option. For Hamas it’s a continual march of Iran sponsored terror and violence.

Thank you for choosing W FOURCY Radio. Well, hello, and welcome to the Bill Martinez Show. We are live. We're going to be talking with Alex Drayman, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, reporting on the latest from the Israel Hamas war. We've got, of course, the continual reports of international pressure for a cease fire to hostage negotiations.

57 I think Golden Myyir said it quite rightly. She's in essence, and this is interpretive because she didn't say it specifically about Hamas. These are my words. But if Hamas would drop their weapons and surrender, the killing will stop. But if Israel drops its weapons, Israel would be no more. For Israel, It's a life or death option. For hamas it's a continual march of Iran sponsored terror and violence beyond the Middle East. Alex Treman joins us now, Alex, welcome to the show. Thank you so much for having me. Bill Well Goldenmeyer's cautionary words echo through the years and very appropriate even today. Right. Oh, absolutely, you could see that Israel has genocidal terror organizations committed to its destruction on its borders. Not only on its borders, also inside its own territory and interdinced Samaria commonly known as the West Bank, and even inside of mixed air of Israeli cities. So Israel is really circled by a ring of fire that's really been created and funded by Iran, and Israel is no choice but to defend itself against this genocidal terror.

07 Well, Alex, the West doesn't quite understand just what you just said in terms of the intermixing of Arabs and Israelis in Israel. When I visited Israel, this was the thing that was an eye opener for me is that Arabs had no problem going into Israel controlled land. In fact, many told me quite frankly, that they felt safer in these Israeli controlled areas. But you could not have Israelis going into Arab controlled areas. In fact, disappointingly for me, you know, and people may be surprised, but even Bethlehem is not controlled by Israel. And in fact, when we were there visiting because of a knife intafada, we could not go into Bethlehem. And we're all Christians, and what do you think we want to see? Bethlehem is one of the sites it's so important for us. But I guess even now Bethlehem is cordoned off as well. Right, Yeah, Bethlehem is under the authority of the Palestinian authority. It's only maybe a few miles from the southern border of Jerusalem. People don't realize that before the Oslo Accords were signed, that Bethlehem used to be a Christian majority city. After Yasir Arafat was brought back into Israel to head up this Palestinian authority and to try to work on a

38 peace process, that the Christians stormed the Church of the Nativity. There was a hostage situation there for I believe about forty days. And since then Bethlehem went from a town that was eighty percent Christian to a town that's less than fifteen percent Christian. Yeah, it's so rich for Yashir Arafat to talk about peace with Israelis when his belief was that he wanted Israel to be no more. I mean, the chance of you know, from you know, from the river to the sea, the pronouncements of genocide against Israelis has been a continual, a continual mantra of the Palestinians and so here, you know, and even now, you know, you want to talk about a two state solution. How do you negotiate a two state solution when the other party wants the other party just extinct? Yeah, you can't make peace with terrorists.

40 I mean, I think that that's one of the most obvious ideas that could be circulated, but it's so confusing to so many and people. The international community has been pushing Israel to turn around and to make peace with a vow terrorist that seek the continued violence and destruction of the state of Israel. You know, I think you made a very very important point earlier before about how Arabs feel safer inside Israeli control towns. And this is the paradox of the Israeli Palestinian conflict, is that the areas where Israel has the least amount of control are the areas that become the largest havens of terror, the most weaponized areas of terror, and the areas in which the IDF has control, and in the areas where Israel has even economic and administrative control are all safer than the places in which Israel doesn't have control. Yeah, it is absolutely insane to think, you know, how we got here, and especially you know, when I go back and consider what happened in the Sixth Day War alex Is that Israel had that opportunity to control everything. I mean, by rights, they owned that land. I mean, you know, let's not even go back thousands of years, but just in the content, I mean, they defeated the enemy and they had control, but I guess for the sake of appeasement and acquiescent in the process, they ended up, you know,

12 convoluting things and instead of controlling their own destiny. And I would think that, you know, those that look back during that period of time just saying, boy, we just you know, we thought we went in with good intent, thought this would solve the problem. But it hasn't. And it continues well in nineteen sixty seven, which is referred to as the Sixth Day War. Within a very very short period of time, Israel went from being on the brink of destruction to an absolute all out victory in which it all of a sudden conquered land that it really had no intention or no belief that it could conquer, and all of a sudden, within this one week period, Israel more than tripled in size, and they didn't know what to do with it, and they didn't know if it could last. And unfortunately, they didn't appreciate the opportunity of the moment, and they made some horrific mistakes.

01 And hopefully we are now in a moment that is similar to nineteen sixty seven. Obviously six weeks, not six days, but I think that the results of this war could be as large as victorious as nineteen sixty seven. And let's just hope that the Israeli government doesn't make the same kind of mistakes that they made in the aftermath of nineteen sixty seven. Well, what happened in sixty seven, clearly, Alex, in my humble opinion, was because of the hand of God time and again, historically, you look at what happens with Israel's chosen land, and you see the divine intervention to protect his land and his people. And I think therein lies the opportunity for Israel and its leadership to return to God in a way to say, Okay, God, this is happening. You know what's happening. Why is it happening?

57 And what are we supposed to do? Because because I still see, I mean, set aside what Joe Biden, set aside the international pressure, the United Nations. We know where they're coming from. It's still consistent. You know, they are participating in uh, you know, in this uh anti Zionism movement, everything that is against Israel. So that we get that. But what what I think that we have an opportunity here is to call on the hand of God once again to turn to God and say, God, look at you know, and you know what's just what's right? What you know? What should happen? Because uh, this is not Arab land, this is God's land. And I've been saying, Alex. In fact, I think I may have said it the last time you and I talked, is that I don't think God needs a real estate agent, do you exactly?

52 You know this war started on the Jewish Holy day of Skata. It's the day on the calendar in which the Jewish people we begin the weekly cycle of reading the various to portions. And there's an idea in Judaism that you live with the Toro portion of the week. And just this week we read about the story of Isaac, and Isaac goes down to settle in the area called Garar, and Garar is known as is what was modern is modern day Gaza. And we also know that Isaac one of the unique qualities that he never left the Holy Land of Israel. So if he never left the Holy Land of Israel in his lifetime and he settled in gar and garas Gaza, that goes to teach you that Gaza is actually historical, biblical Israel exactly.

43 Well, of course, and then we're coming off the Jubilee, right, alex And what happens in the Jubilee is things returned to its origin. So you know, again in looking at this spiritually and scripturally, you know, I just see it so clearly that and it's bothered me from day one when you know our government, you know, I'm here in the United States, you're in Israel, and I think our government is so ignorant of spiritual matters and scriptural context, that they would interfere with what God is going to do. And they do this at their own peril. Because what has happened time and time again, Alex and I've been, I've been, you know, documenting this is that every time America interferes with God's foreign policy and God's you know, God's control of his chosen land. And whenever you know, this country has tried to push a two states solution, it has followed within you know, twenty four to forty eight hours of a natural disaster. And this isn't you know, just once or twice. I think there's about a dozen documented instances when this has occurred. You would think our country and our leaders would know well enough that you are you are treading on Holy land and you better be careful. Yeah, you know, I think you can look at the precedent, right, the United States took over the mantle as the world's moral policeman and moral leader from the British right, and the British had a

16 huge empire around the world, and the British had a singular mandate. If you type British mandate into Google, you look what the mandate for Britain was it was called the British Mandate for Palestine, and what the British were supposed to do under this mandate was to create a Jewish state in all the land that is currently Israel, which includes judae At, Samaria, the West Bank and Gaza, and also all of Jordan was all supposed to be for a Jewish state after World War Two, after the Jews suffered the horrific ethnic cleansing genocide of the Holocaust, and this was their singular mandate, and they failed to do that. Not only did they divide the land and install a Hashemite rule in Jordan and cut it cut three quarters of the land, but now they similarly tried to divide the land again between Jews and Palestinians. So they failed in their mandate, and what happened to them as an empire, They lost their entire empire because they did not fulfill their singular mandate to create a Jewish state in all the land which was at the time called Palestine, and Palestine back then referred to a Jewish state, not an airborne right exactly.

26 Well, you see this is the correct narrative. But yet the propagandis and United Nations, the Arab nations which want you to believe differently. They want you to believe that the Palestinians have a historic right to that land. But I don't. I can't connect the dots and get there where they're at. I mean, just look at history. You know, who was a Palestinian king in the land before arch terrorist Yazar era Fat. You know, where's the Palestinian money, Where's the unique Palestinian culture and poetry? You know, there's this none of that. The po which was founded by Yaser Arafat and committed to Israel's destruction, was founded in nineteen sixty four, three years before Israel took over the lands that were occupied by Jordan and Egypt in nineteen sixty seven in that war. And those are the lands that the Palestinians call for a Palestinian state. There's never been a Palestinian state in Israel. The Jewish people are the indigenous people of the land of Israel. That's why they're called the nation of Israel. Jews are called Jews because they're from the biblical province of Judea. And the people that want there to be a Palestinian state in the West Bank. What they want is the only county in the entire world called Judea. They wanted to be juden Rhine or free of Jews. We're talking with Alex Treman, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, and we're talking, you know, of course obviously what's happening in Israel, and you know, just going back historically, because this is important. These are things that have been lost

01 in translation. People some have lost in translations, some people didn't even know this, and just a simple academic, you know, illustration of how we got here and here we are. You know, I think it's quite interesting that with the Palestinians, Alex is that the Palestinians and Hamas, I don't see the other Arab nations wanting to take them in exactly. You know, you have a situation in which the Palestinians in Gaza are landlocked right now. They're certainly not coming into Israel. We saw three thousand of them enter Israel on October seventh and try to murder as many Israelis as they possibly could. So certainly refugees are not going to foo into Israel. But Israel does not control the entire border with Gaza. Gaza has a seven mile border with Egypt.

52 Egypt does not want even one Palestinian on their soil. The Jordanians, which their country is more than sixty percent Palestinian, don't want a single additional Palestinian from Gaza on their soil. And all these nations that care so much about the Palestinians are claimed to care so much about the Palestinians won't take a single Palestinian on their soil, and they keep them in Gaza. They won't get that border open. And then they accuse Israel of humanitarian crimes when they're denying refugees the basic human right of leaving a war zone? Alex is it fair to consider that these other narrow Arab nations who have you know, who look at these Palestinians in the Gaza that have been so indoctrinated, you know since what eight seven with Hamas, and they have been oppressed by this government.

46 Are they fearful that if they interject these Palestinians who have been indoctrinated by Hamas, that they could bring that into their into their countries. I think that's part of it, and I think that the other part of it is that they are using the Palestinians, using and abusing the Palestinians as a lever against the State of Israel and to intentionally weaken the state of Israel. And really the entire international community has been doing this. Because you mentioned the UN You know, there's a special UN agency called UNRA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, that is the only refugee crisis in the entire world that has its own UN agency. All other refugees in any other place are under a singular agency. In Palestinians are under one specific agency, UNRA. This UNRA funds schools in the Palestinian Authority in Jerusalem and Gaza that are teaching kids to hate, you know, and you look at the textbooks. They have math books that you know, for many years was the math problem was if you have ten Jews and you kill seven, how many Jews are left?

52 Right? And so this is UNRA, and UNRA also fails to solve the refugee crisis. Not only that it perpetuates refugees, so that even the third and fourth generation of of re descendants of refugees are considered refugees. This was an entire country of refugees, but how many how many refugees are there in Israel. None, because Israel settled them exactly. You know, the UN just perpetuates this crisis, and the Western world they fund and run, they perpetuated as well well. And you talk about UNRAE, how much of that money that they gave to to Hamas was used for weaponry use for you know, building out their tunnels. Yeah, not just unra you know, Qatar and the Palestinian and Kamas get direct aid you know from the international community.

41 Billions and billions of dollars, first of all, goes into over five hundred miles worth of subterranean tunnels like little little rat holes underneath the ground, that Hamas uses to attack Israelis goes into rockets. They fired just in the last six weeks, ten thousand rockets Israel, and they've invited death and destruction on their own people. Instead of taking those billions of dollars and investing it into their people, they've used it to attack Israel. And what do they have to show for that? You know, Well, it's clear they don't care about their people. I mean, because Alex they had to know. Even though it was a small number. We understand of Hamas leaders that were aware of what was being planned, what was going to be executed on October the seventh. The Palestinians in mass did not know what was going to happen, but the leaders had to know that if they attacked Israel like that, Israel was going to come after them and turn and turn Gaza into a parking lot.

42 Yeah, I think that people don't understand the Hamas strategy. They carried out an attack that they knew was going to draw in a horrific counter attack by the IDEF. This was the purpose of the operation. And you would ask the normal question, well, why would a weak terror organization invite one of the world's strongest armies to attack on its soil a battle that it cannot militarily win. And the answer to that question is because what they actually wanted is for Israel to kill as many Palestinians civilians as they could possibly kill. And then when you start to see all of these protests anti Israel, protests in London, in New York and Washington, d C. And Los Angeles and parents and elsewhere, you understand that this is Hamas's army of de legitimization against the Jewish state and This is the way Hamas thinks that they can defeat Israel through the prism of international opinion and diplomacy. This is the strategy of Commas. Yeah, it's quite revealing to see how this is all playing out, even how the West is mishandling this situation. Universities, we have been condemning universe state presidents and leadership for not standing up and helping, you know, their kids, their students, you know, understand what's going on, because really, if you do not understand good and evil, it speaks of

15 your lack of maturity and education, you know. And I don't know how any other way you can put it. Alex. Yeah, I mean what's been going on in the college campuses is not a new phenomenon. You know. I was living in the United States and I was doing recruiting for Israel programs on college campuses back in the early two thousands, and we started then to see the first Israel Apartheid weeks popping up on campuses run by organizations including the Students for Justice in Palestine which have direct connections to Ramas and the Jewish community, and the US government and university presidents and donors didn't want to do anything about it back then, and they let this situation fester. And not only has the situation on the university's reached the level that it has today, where it's literally unsafe for Jewish students to in some cases walk on campus, but in other cases, you know, to to state their own opinions.

11 In Middle East studies classes, you can't even support Israel and expect to get a passing grade. But you know, not not only that, but the students that that encountered these Israel apartheid walls twenty years ago, well guess what now they're the ones teaching the college campuses exactly, they're teaching in high schools, and in some cases they're they're members of Congress without a doubt. Yeah, this is this is how how good a job, I guess you can say, in terms of being able to inculcate the institutions and be able to control them in the manner in which they've been able to do that. And it's interesting how in such a short period of time the tide has turned, because if it was the other way around, of course, we saw it after nine to eleven. You know, the Muslim community was greatly protected.

00 Uh you know, hate crimes were introduced, and now you know, if there's something done against the Jew in America I'm talking about specifically, you know, there's all kinds of consternation and and you know, people grabbing their pearls show to speak and oh, how do we how do we deal with it? Well, wait a minute, if it's a hate crime in dealing with a Muslim, why isn't it a hate crime you know, dealing with a Jew. Yeah, we just saw even since this war started that Kamala Harris was chairing some committee on Islamophobia in America. When you see the anti Semitic incidents are skyrocketing up something like one thousand percent since October seventh, and the situation is very dire and dangerous. But you know, there are there are signs that the that the Jewish community and the pro Israel Zionist community, uh even not non Jewish, is waking up. We saw three hundred thousand people come out to Washington to support Israel, and we're starting to see a lot of the don't owners of these universities say, you know, we're not going to give money. And we've heard even presidential candidates like Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley and others and even Donald Trump say, you know, you can say whatever you want on a college campus. We can't stop that. But if you're going to harbor and f foster anti Semitism on the campus, you don't need to be receiving federal funding for that. So perhaps maybe there will be some positive changes that come out from from this disaster. Well, I often tell my kids experience defines preference. We're getting a lot of experience right now,

33 and so it's up to you know, certainly in our case in America, we the people, the Americans, to make up their minds and realize that they cannot let it happen. I mean, this is how we got here and find ourselves in this position here in America today, Alex is that we have been asleep at the wheel. Admittedly, and the churches, you know, particularly that support Israel are waking up in record numbers. And because we go back and you know, appreciate what God said very clearly is you know, in that Abrahamic confidant that those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed. And this is what we're seeing.

17 And and there are reports clearly on the side of you know, those peoples who are blessing Israel. You know, God's true to his word and nothing has changed. That's still the case. And those who curse curse Israel are are getting the curse of God. And you know they can be in denial, but you know, you can just see what's happening there in the Gaza as just a minor example. Other reports that you know media does not want to report on are also evident as well, because again, God is faithful to his word. Yeah, absolutely right. You know, a former US, former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, who's now Minister Ofrategic Affairs and a member of Prime Minister Nataniel's war cabinet. You know, he said very clearly that the bedrock of American support for the state of Israel is rooted in the Christian Zionist community, exactly in terms of the numbers.

15 And you look around the world right now, you see how Israel gets beat up in international forums and by Europeans and by the Arab League and others. And you know, Israel can use a strong friend in the United States. And if it wasn't for the Christian Zionist community. I don't know how many friends Israel would have in the world, but there's a risk because we see even among younger people are influenced by TikTok and other social media channels, the support for Israel is waning as you go younger and younger in the population. So I think that the Christian Zionists out there, especially, they have to do their best to really educate their kids and their grandchildren to support Israel the way that their parents did, to make sure that Israel does have a strong ally, in fact, the strongest ally in the entire world, which would be the United States exactly well, barring barring a revival, barring a return to God in an awakening of the United States. You know, you look at the trajectory of what's happening in the Middle East. I've always maintained, Alex that when Israel became a nation again in nineteen forty eight, on God's prophetic clock in his schedule, in his calendar, it was if the hour hand of God's prophetic clock was set, And what's been passing since nineteen forty eight are minutes and seconds. So you know, most of us are not fooling ourselves. You know, we're praying for revival. Should God decide to you know, give America the world and then of a moment, so

47 to speak, a chance to return to Him and be revived, you know, we will be eternally grateful. But regardless, if we are on the timeline and we continue to move to the final chapter of Revelations of the Book of Revelations, then we will we still be will be thankful to God because we know how it ends. And uh, you know that that the Messiah will come. There will be a new heaven, new earth, that peace will be the order of the day, and this contention and this fallen world that we've been dealing with will be no more. But until then, you know, we're we're fighting the good fight of faith, uh, being aligned in in unity with you know, with the Holy Trinity, the Father's Son and Holy ghosts. Uh to do His will and do his bidding here until until He should come again. And that's uh, you know, that is our prayer and that is our our expectation. That's where our faith lies because we serve a faithful God. Yeah. Absolutely, you know, Christians really have to delve into their faith this time. Obviously, the Jewish faith has some different beliefs, you know, but it looks like that. And what what Christians and Jews share in terms of common values are are so deep and and in terms of the vision of the future of what Jews and Christians believe,

18 it is it is a peace in Israel, and it's a it's a it's a temple in Israel as a house of all nations. UH. And I think we're living in various very special times where we're seeing the complete rebuilding of Israel and of Jerusalem, UH. And you're actually seeing your witnessing, living in real time, the total transformation of the Middle East, in which countries like the United United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, UH and Morocco in Northeast Africa and North Africa, Sudan have all already normalized relations with Israel. Saudi Arabia, the Seat of Islam UH is on a path towards normalizing relations with Israel. And at the same time we're seeing how Israel is actively at this moment fighting against UH and defeating the forces of evil in the region, all of which are are funded by Iran, which is this maniacal h. You Muslim Islamic Republic that that just seeks a hedge of money in the region.

22 Uh. And if Israel will will succeed in in wiping out Kamas, destroying Hasborah, you know, I think that you're going to start to see even faster development of Israel as a as a regional superpower, as a global superpower, and a country that's able to make peace with all of its neighbors exactly, you know, Alex, between now and the final chapter. Uh, you know, the Christians, uh, the Christians doctrine and Jewish doctrine. I'm excited because we all end up at the same place. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. I mean in between times. Okay, you know, well, you know, we'll get through it, but we're we're all heading to the same exit here. And I'm excited about that. And that's what That's what holds us, holds us together. I want to go back and talk a little bit about you know, what Hamads thought was going to happen. And I think they you know, because I thought they might have even considered that Hesbola would have been more involved. They have been sending missiles, you know, from the north into northern Israel. But you know, we don't see a full release of whatever one hundred and fifty thousand missiles supposedly they have to the ready and pointed at Israel. Yeah, exactly. You raise an important point that Jusboa is actually the larger of the terror proxy, poses a much more dangerous threat to Israel even than Hamas. There's over one

53 hundred and fifty thousand missiles pointed at Israel to its north in southern Lebanon. And these are not like the Casam rockets that Hamas is firing. These are long range missiles. Many of them are precision guided. They can deliver much more serious payloads than the Kassam rockets that Hamas has and and it's a very very dangerous threat. And while they haven't started firing all of their weaponry, UH, they have already fired over a thousand times mortars, anti tank, precision guided missiles UH and drones into Israel. And the border between Israel and Lebanon has just continued to heat up. UH. And it does seem like the red line UH is about to be crossed. I mean, the international community is pushing Israel not to reply with full force to the Haasbelo aggression.

51 But at a certain point, I think that it's very very likely that that Israel will have simply no choice and we'll have to go into southern Lebanon. You'll start to see the scenes in Lebanon similar to the ones you're seeing now in Gaza. Well, the other thing too, you got the Hooties that are sticking their thumb in the eyes of Americans. You've got to you've got to military outposts in Iraq that are being bonded. Uh. This is all being sponsored by Iran. Uh. You know we have been saying for you know, ever since this began, is that we have never been closer to you know, such a huge regional event and the possibility of World War three.

37 Well, Iran has created this ring of fire around Israel, and they have their proxies in Yemen, the Juties, as you mentioned, they have Hasboa, which we discussed in Kamas. They've also they also have branches of Grizbela in Iraq and also in Syria. And we've seen attacks already all throughout the region. The Hooties are firing cruise and realistic missiles at Israel. They've already hijacked a commercial vessel and the Red Seat. You know, just last week we saw again we saw the attack of American bases inside the Rocks. You know, Israel has been been carrying out attacks in Syria. So there's this is already a regional war and the question is if players outside the region will get involved. I think that Israel can handle uh these challenges by itself.

30 But at the same time, we see that the United States has already sent over to USS carrier groups, the Eisenhower and the Ford carrier groups. There's enough firepower from the United States, more than most nations possess, and and they they have started to use a little bit. But maybe there's a reason that it's all here. And even though the US is trying to use that equipment just as a deterrent, you can't rule out the possibility that that equipment is actually put into into full force and may even strike her on at some point. Well exactly because you know, in part when we first started seeing what was going on, we're wondering, you know, where the forces coming there, you know, to the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, you know, to you know, a deterrent on both levels, not only for Iran and the proxies, but maybe a bit of deterrent for Israel. You know. Again, you know, we look at it, you know, and our reporters look at it here in the United States in such a way as that we are you know, you know, we're bothered by some of the policies and things that are said out of this administration. And I appreciate that Israel has to be political, they have to be grateful to this administration because they don't want to get get them upset. But I'm sure probably behind closed doors, they they may wonder at the duplicity at times and get confused of whether or not they're dealing with Cutter or they're dealing with the United States

00 correctly. You know, the United States for all of its support for Israel, which is tremendous and there's a lot of defense cooperation, and the United States is Israel's best ally and Israel's America's best ally. But at the same time, when you look at the policy of the United States, they provide funding to the Palestinians, they pressure Israel to seed land to Palestinians, despite the fact that the Palestinians have done nothing over many years to indicate that they want to make peace with Israel. But worse yet, they've been providing funding to Iran, and Iran is using these funds to do two things. Number one to develop illicit nuclear weapons as it calls for death to Israel, and two to fund its terror proxies all over the region, including terror proxies that sit on and even inside Israel's own borders. So you have to ask yourself, you know, why is it that are that an ally is funding is funding the enemy at the same time. Yeah, that's what I mean.

55 This is the duplicity of this country. And I'm sure you've been following this as well. What did you make of the reports and the reveal that a lot of this funding, Yes we know that it has come from Iran, but a lot of it's being done through the mechanism of bitcoin. Yeah, you know, the IDEF has been tracking this for a long time and has actually gone into digital wallets and Gaza to remove funding that's come via bitcoin. You know, this is part of the whole cyber war that takes place below the surface. Right now, everybody's looking at the you know, the the air force strikes and the rockets being fired in the tunnels, But these wars are economic wars there, they are cyber wars. There are you know reports that October seventh involved a cyber hack on on IDF communications infrastructure, which would explain why it took so many hours for the IDF to respond to the infiltration on October seventh. So you know, all these methods are all part of the greater, the greater war for Israel security. Yeah, without a doubt.

07 I wanted to address, you know, the hostage exchange reports. You know this past week that there was going to be an exchange of up to fifty hostages. I will advise our viewers that we are pre recording this so they're you know, no, like you know, there will likely be an update on whatever we talk about regarding the hostages. But you know, the mechanism is that Israel will cease I guess, do some sort of cease firing or dial back. It's you know, it's offensive against Tamas in order to allow for this exchange women and children only, right, Yeah, So the way this has been reported as it's been drawn up, is that a mosque will turn over to Israel up to fifty women and children, some mothers, some elderly and female children also in exchange for four days of quiet, and the Camas would deliver the hostages and increments of twelve or thirteen a day for four days in exchange for quiet, and also in exchange for Israel releasing one hundred and fifty Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. And these are individuals that were arrested while performing acts of terror. Many of them have arrested for attempted murder.

39 You know, you were hearing stories of like a woman who walked up to an Israeli soldier and tried to stab the soldier. You know, we hear you know, they say that the Palestinian prisoners are women and what they're calling miners up to the age of nineteen, but that many times is including eighteen nineteen seventy year old males, that we're trying to commit terror attacks and we were caught in the act before they were able to succeed as they as it will to murder Israelis. And so you know, Israel is going to be returning, according to the deal, a ratio of three to one of visitors that were committing acts of murder against Israelis in return to get innocent civilians who were kidnapped and taken hostage on October seventh. Yeah, that's disturbing.

31 But again this speaks of the international pressure and how effective it's been to force Israel into this compromise, because you know, on on its face, it's not a fair exchange, is it. I mean, obviously three for one, you can do the math yourself. But more important than that is the question of does this pause make the fighting more dangerous for IDF soldiers? Right? If Hamas is able to use this time to to come out of its tunnels, able to regroup, re arm, right to put ceales back together that might have been split up, you know, would the risk is that IDF soldiers could be killed as a result of this pause in the fighting.

17 So there's a lot of risk. But it also goes to show just how much Israel truly values the lives of its own citizens that it would be willing to do so much in order to get back these women and children, just because they cherish each life so much exactly. And then the families of the remaining hostages, this has to be heartbreaking, you know, I mean at any level, and of course it's been these families that have been very outspoken you know, towards the government. You can't blame them. It's not like the government is being at least I don't see it, Alex, that the government is you know, being laissez faire about it or they don't care.

00 I think they've been very compassionate about it. You know, Otherwise, if the hostages didn't matter, they would have already leveled the gaze a long time ago. Right, Oh, absolutely, I mean, I think one way of looking at the conflict could have been to say, the hostages don't matter. We have to consider the hostages dead, and the purpose of the operation is to make sure that Kamas can never take a hostage again. But that's simply not the way it works in Israel. And I tell you, every single Israeli feels the pain of the families that haven't seen their loved ones in six weeks. We're talking about elderly, we're talking about Holocaust survivors. We're talking about women, We're talking about children, we're talking about toddlers. There was a mother that is reported to have given birth while pregnant, mother while while in captivity. And you know, there's so much pressure. I wouldn't want to be nobody would want to be one of these families, especially on the eve of a deal like this, not knowing if your loved one is going to be coming back, you knowing with anticipation to see if one of those people coming across the border is your loved one, and then waiting the next day and the next day and the next day to see if that's going to happen, and then what happens if if the loved one is not one of those fifty that was returned, and one for chances of getting them back later after this deal is over, you know. So it's it's a tremendous, tremendous pain, and you it kind of makes you understand why the Israeli

34 government would go to such lens to bring back the hostages, even when on a military level it seems to be a miscalculation. Well, I can tell you here in the West, having celebrated Thanksgiving, which is a time for family hearts, compassion, hearts toward Israel and toward these family who are missing family members, we look and relate to it in such a way as what would it be like at our Thanksgiving dinner table one of the members of our family, and we do have this Uh, anyway, just in you know, with all that's happened, you know, Uh, death is part of the experience and no matter what nation you're in. But when we see what's happening in Israel and that there are family members that are missing and not with their families. Not that you're celebrating Thanksgiving, but you know, you're celebrating the holidays, you're celebrating the Sabbath. You know there are other instances.

34 Yes, we can, we can relate to it. We've got a couple of minutes left here, Alex, and I wanted to get your read on. Uh. You know, the idf has been very particular about sending footage to media and demonstrating how Hamas has violated the Geneva Accords by utilizing schools and where they've you know, you've seen missile launchers out of their classrooms. Excuse me, you've seen also the tunnels underneath the hospital. And yet you will have some in the international community going, well, we haven't verified it, we'll go verify it then. I mean, this is information that the IDF IS has proposed. I don't know. I think that maybe there might have been one instant if I remember correctly, where there might have been something suspect, and the IDEF said, well, we may you know, we may have misrepresented something there. But I think they've been very fourth right in presenting these pictures in order to counter the propaganda narrative that's been put out there by you know, by the Arab countries, by Iran, and by the United Nations. If you look at this Alshifa hospital, which is a command center of Kamas, It's been known for years the Al Shifa hospital is a command center for Kamas. And yet Israel, because of the double standards, has had to lay the groundwork for that attack. Because they couldn't just go in

05 there and storm the hospital. They had to like lay the groundwork with the international community to explain over and over and over again that this was a Kamas command center before they were able to go in. And you know what happened. They went in after telegraphing that attack, and because they gave so much notice to Hamas that they were going to attack this hospital. What happened is that Kamas took out most of the equipment and also the hostages that Israel believed were being held in the hospital basement, they moved them out and so Israel lost the opportunity to take over the command center and to get back into hostages, specifically because it had to go out of its way to make the case of why it had to attack the hospital. Yeah, yeah, exactly.

50 Well, you know, the video is there. I believe that the IDF Israel has been over backwards, you know, to to you know, present these violations of you know, the Geneva laws. I think there's like one hundred and sixty one laws Israel is accused of, you know, being you know, criminals and offenders of the law. But you have clear evidence that it's been hammas, that it violated the international you know, order of law. Have they not, bill The IDF is done more in the history of warfare to protect innocent civilians than any other army. People and militaries are going to look back at this conflict as the gold standard for how armies should conduct themselves with regard to civilian casualties. And yet for all the efforts that Israel's doing to make sure that that there are not civilian casualties, that there's not collateral damage, even so, Israel's accused more than any other military in the world of creating a humanitarian crisis. So we just see here a horrific double stand that I think is rooted in nothing short of anti Semitism. Well, as we wrap things up, we've got about a minute left. Alex Strahman, I wanted to give you an opportunity, you know, to you know, summarize and you know, and to share your thoughts with our viewers here, not only in America, but around the world, because these channels reach

22 out and they go global, and you know, so here's your chance to relay your message to the world. Well, two messages. Number one that the IDEAF is going to win this war because it has to. But second that the information that people digest about the war, about the conflict is oftentimes unreliable. And that's particularly when you're talking about the AP, CNN, BBC, New York Times and others. And it's very very important to identify good, accurate, high quality sources of information working every day at Jewish Whosyndica JNS dot org to be that reliable source of news. And so we invite everybody to come and to get their daily updates on what's happening in this war directly from us. Well, Alex Tremanakanna, thank you enough. I appreciate the time for you coming on the show to give us this update and an important part of the history that I believe that many of us need to be aware of and need to remember as well. Thank you so much for being with us. Take care. Thank you, Bill, our gratitude and thanks to Alex S. Treman, Jerusalem Bureau Chief with the latest on Israel Hamas' war, and our thanks to you for sharing a part of your day with us.
