Great to have you with us. Bill Martinez here along with Steve Bonta, the publisher of the New American magazine. Steve Bonta, good to have you with us, how Ray. Sir, Good to be here. Bill Well, lots of talk about congratulations on the New American magazine. A couple of just incredible articles I want to make sure our audience is aware of, because if you're not getting the New American, you need to get it. Just excellent writing on the Epstein files, which we're going to talk about. You know what about the Epstein files?

0:43 Who cares? And why should we care? It was quite the expose, well done. And of course the other is that we're going to start off talking about, is the Iran War in our constitution? You know the Democrats are quick to talk about, well is this you know? Are we a blittering our constitution by supporting and trying to save the Iranian people? Okay, so starry the Iran war. Then, yes, yes, start with the Irn war. So yeah, I think at this point, Bill, leaving aside everything else as to whether or not it's a righteous cause and all that type of thing, which we can talk about as well. But from a strictly constitutional standpoint, the war is was, you know, is really not constitutionally embarked upon, because you know, I mean, there's there's an argument to be made, I suppose in times of exigency for the president maybe to be able to act unilaterally.

1:41 It is. It is a fact, for example, that during the debate of the Constitutional Convention, there was some discussion as to whether the clause in Article one, section eight should say should give to Congress the power to quote unquote make war, and they were decided they decided, well, you know, we should, we should say, declare war, because we can envision circumstances where the president the executive branch might need to make war as a result of some emergency, you know, and a surprise invasion or national experience where there's no time for deliberation. But that said, why is that clause in there at all? Okay, why is it there if Congress has not in fact declared war since World War Two?

2:28 This is an unavoidable fact that nobody wants to talk about including Trump's boosters. And this is not a partisan issue because obviously Trump is not the first president to do this. You know, the Venezuelan thing a few months ago was you know, I could see honest arguments both on both sides of that one, because it didn't turn into a war. You know, acts of war and war are are two different things. I was going to say that they're they're begging for a definition, are they not. Yeah, Well, in the case of Iran, I just think that it's it's kind of like the old the old Supreme Court quote on pornography, you know. So I say, you know, I can't necessarily define what war is, but I know it when I see it. And that's kind of what we got here. We've uh, you know, we've we've got we've clearly got although there's a cease fire at you know, which which I also find kind of incomprehensible.

3:22 I don't really understand what Trump is trying to do with that, but that that's a that's another issue. But we're still in a state of war. We have on you know, unleashed total you know what on on Iran and killed lots of people, destroying an awful lot of stuff, and they have responded in kind. And it's a major theater war, there's no question about that. And yet Congress really was not involved in any degree, I mean leaving aside. Yeah, they've only had forty seven years to get involved, Steve, I mean, Iran has been causing problems killing Americans over the years, and this thing has just been ignored and processed, you know, down the road, and meanwhile Americans keep get getting killed. And now we're in a situation where forty seven years later, you've got a president wants to do something about it. In Congress instead of being proactive about it, they should have assembled right away when this was coming.

4:19 In my humble opinion, and hey, let's debate this, let's let's figure this out. But also help us understand in terms of your understanding of this, is that I understand the president can you know, I guess make or he can't declare it that has to be done by cars, but make war. He's got so many days in which he's authorized to do it, does he not? Yeah, sixty days and the time when that is almost running out. Anyway, that's according to a separate statute, that's not constitutional. That's statutory. And you know, but I mean the trend. And here's another point that needs to be made. I mean, Trump is obviously acting on a precedent that's been set by virtually every president from Hem, you know, going all the way back to Truman. And here's the unavoidable fact that we have to we have to understand.

5:11 Why is it that since nineteen forty one, often ninety forty five, by the end of World War two, okay, we have been involved in a number of major theater wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, this War, the Iraq War, and we might even throw in the wars in Yugoslavia, the Balkan Wars, and not to mention many minor things like the invasion of Panama, relatively minor and so probably not minor for the Panamanians. But nevertheless, and not once has there been a declaration of war, Not once has it been taken out of the constitution. Well, it's still there, but we don't do it. So this is problematic. So I'm not you know, I mean, basically Trump is just doing what other presidents have done before him.

5:55 The first, the Persian Gulf War, was fought under un authority, you know, And so Trump, I mean, I guess the thing that gets people unhappy in Congress is not so much that he's out there waging war in Irans. He's doing it without any authority other than that of the executive branch. If he had gone to the United Nations and sought some sort of Security Council resolution or some or invoked you and authority, you know, it might be a different thing. But both of those are illegitimate. Both of those are illegitimate means of going to war. You know. The fact is, you know, as and there's no question that Iran has given the US multiple cassi belorum over the decades, starting with the seizure of r rvent of our embassy personnel back in nineteen seventy nine. And you know, they've carried out innumerable attacks on Americans. They've carried out terrorist attacks in the Western Hemisphere. The bombing of the Jewish Cultural Center in Buenos Aires back in the mid nineteen nineties was carried out by Iranian agents, killed a huge number of people. So, you know, there's no and unlike you know, people who talk about this and say, well, you know, this is just America butting into other countries affairs, you know, intervening in wars that are none of our business. Well, there is a difference, and that is that Iran has declared itself the enemy of the United States. I mean, Saddam Hussein's Iraq never did that, you know, Syria never did that. Libya kind of maybe did a little bit for a while, but then got away from that, you know.

7:20 And so in many cases, yes, we have embarked on wars that are purely interventionists in spirit, and you know, have to do with with nebulous outcomes like you know, preserving world order or enforcing UN Security Council resolutions, things like this. But in this case, it is it is certainly true that Iran is the declared enemy of the United States. They act like the enemy. They've acted, you know, all this time. It's not like they're a third party, and it's not like this is completely none of our business. I don't subscribe to the narrative that we're hearing that well, we're just doing Israel's dirty work for them. But still, you know, ultimately, I mean that that is you know, you're talking there about about other issues which we talk about, but the constitutional the declaration of war thing is, as far as i'm an assailable concern, but it's it's something that's long past due that we need to resolve. Otherwise we're going to end up with a permanent state of elective Caesarism here, where the president has the de facto, if not the de jure, authority, to commit us to war any time he wants for whatever reasons.

8:27 Well, you're exactly right. I mean, these decisions need to be anchored. But it's like, well, here we are, and you know, for all ten purposes. You know, we've been at war. Well actually a wren's been at war with us for forty seven years. America just kind of just ignored it until you know, it got to be you know, got to a point where you just could not ignore it. And you know, this is after Obama gave him what one and a half billion dollars of you know, of cash on pallets in the middle of the night. Well, Steve, again, I appreciate you coming on because and talking about this because you know, we hear all the talking points from you know, HACKEM Jeffries and the rest of the Democrats, and you know, this is an illegal war, and it's hard to hear when I'm seeing our military, our sons and daughters there putting the life on the line for the sake of our national security, and you've got this partisan bickering that's going on, and it's like, wait a minute, where you guys have been. Where have you been for the last forty seven years.

14:11 Again, that's a separate issue, and let me be clear my personal position on this is, having embarked upon it, we need to finish the job and the world will be much better off, and certainly the Iranian people be much better off without this horrific regime in power. We saw what they were capable of, you know, back in January when they went out and butchered tens of thousands of their pin and they continue, by the way, on a daily basis to hang beautiful young women whose only crime was to appear in public without a hit job and say Javid Shah or something like that. I mean, it's just the horrors continue unabated in that country right now. Now it's not necessarily our role to go out there and to be savior of the world in a secular sense, you know, to because their horrors going on in Sudan, and their horrors going on in Yammar Burma, horrors going on in communists China and so forth, and so on, and itself a legitimate mandate. But my point is, you know, having committed so much already, we should finish. But it doesn't look like we're going to finish because suddenly we started in the early days saying, you know, only unconditional surrender, and now we're shucking and jiving and joking and changing, you know, and it's just and oh, well, you know, Trump is playing five dimensional chess. You just don't understand. No, I do understand. Trump has gotten bored. You know, he's he's looking at new shiny objects now and he kind of want wants to get out of it. We did not do this when we fought a bona fide foe, you know, the Nazis. And by the way, you know, there are some questionable things about our entry into World War Two, you go going all the way back there, people you know, argue about this to this day. You know, was there fore knowledge of the Pearl Harbor attack? Did

15:43 FDR cynically allow it to happen so that he had the pretext to get us in the war. But once we were in the war, however we got there, you know, there was no question an FDR, by the way, lest we forget, was a liberal of the day. It's quite quite radical in many many ways. He's he's one of the spiritual godfathers of today's radical left. But even he didn't didn't say, Okay, well, we're just gonna maybe we're gonna have a ceasefire with the Nazis for two weeks and see how that goes. Or let's let's let's shut down operations in the Pacific for a couple of weeks and while we talk of the Japanese and see if we can cut a deal. It's insane, Yes, if you try to project the mentality that Trump seems to be bringing to this, to this very serious conflict, back into wars past, particularly World Wars one and World War two.

16:24 You say, no, that's that's not how it's done. I'm not a military man, but even I know when you fight a war, you fight to win or you don't get involved at all. Exactly. Yeah, you know you got to let you got to let the generals do their job. I'm a firm believer that once they're on the battlefield, Uh, what Trump should say, look at you've got my vote, Go get it done and call me when you're finished. In effect, Yeah, and instead he's he's he's micromanaging it and he's playing these games. So I'm sorry, but you know, people were saying the other day, oh, well, the ceasefire is almost over. You'll see, we're just doing that. We're re arming and getting ready and he's gonna go in. And what does he do. Oh well, we're gonna continue with the ceasefire. We're gonna talk see if they can get things together. In other words, he has really no intention of changing being He just wants to cut a deal.

17:07 And this is just to me, I find, frankly quite appalling at this point. And I know a lot of people, well your people are probably hardcore Trump boosters. I'll be happy to be wrong. He is really playing five dimensional chess and go to win there. I mean, the world will be incomparably a better place with the Iran that's a friend of the US, is anti communist, anti Islamist, friend of Israel, all that sort of thing, as they once were under the under the under the much maligned Shaw. But I don't know if we're going to get there. I have the same feeling as you do, Steve, because, uh, you know, the situation again, like I said, is that when you go to war, you just empower the generals, get out of the way, let them do their job, you know, otherwise we're going to end up with another Vietnam conflict and what a mess. And I was. I was in the Marine Corps during that period of time.

17:54 Fortunately I wasn't on the field of battle, but I was in the public relations department and that was all. I mean. I saw stuff I didn't want to see that I can't unsee. But but was because it became a war executed by civilians instead of the military. They want to go in and you know, and we've had this problem time and time again. And the thing is is that even with Donald Trump, you know, I feel for his position. I have compassion as much as that. Here he's trying to conduct this war. He's got the Democrats nipping at his heels, he's got the mainstream media nipping at his heels. You got all this, all these headwinds coming in and oh yeah, and if that's not enough, let's just throw the pope in there too, okay. And it's like at some point, I mean, I gotta imagine he wakes up in the middle of the night and his short span of sleep because he only sleeps about three or four hours a day, they tell us, and probably thinks, what a nightmare. I'm in the middle. I'm like, I'm twirling plates here, trying to keep this thing going and not go in and absolutely obliterate Iran, even though he talked about which is you know, the words these people are hanging on to, that he was going to utterly destroy a civilization.

19:03 Talk is cheap, bill, and you know, talk doesn't avail much in war. I mean, I understand that disinformation is an important part of war, but at this point, come on, you know, because yes, during the ceasefire, what do you think Iran is doing? Yeah? Right, Okay, those those cargo flights are still coming in from China and Russia and other points. You know, bring more ammunitions, more missiles, you know, more SAM batteries, whatever, and you know, and so they're they're not wasting any time. These guys are hardcore religious fanatics. And I really think that Trump and a lot of people around him do not understand the mentality. They're happy to die. They're not They're actually not afraid to die. We saw that on nine to eleven. You know, one of the reasons nine to eleven caught us flat footed is that we didn't, you know, part as you know, this military man, one of the assumptions is that the enemy on the other side is going to act in his own best interest, you know, that he's going to and ultimately want to save his life or you know, in this kind of thing.

20:03 And there are people who don't think that way. I mean, we were really flummoxed in World War Two when the Japanese pilots started flying planes into into. Our own boats. There was nothing in our rule book that said, what do you what if you have an entire military corps that is trained to be suicidal, And that's what we have written large with with the Iranians. They're they're not going to I mean, most Iranians are very rational, good, wonderful people. It's it's a small cadre of these true believers who think that there's going to be a great war against the great Satan Us and the little Satan Israel. And at the crucial moment, you know, the Madi is going to come and rescue them. So they're they're they're very much they have this millenary Islamist, millenarian point of view that because God's war, that's that's the point of view.

20:52 And you can't, I mean, you can't reason with people like that. On a positive side, this happening within Iran is that Christianity, in the midst of all this persecution is growing faster in Iran than any other place in the planet right now, Steve. I hear that. And Christianity has a tendency to proliferate wherever the persecution is the most severe, so you know, and so of the Middle East, Iran and many other parts of the of the Muslim world, there's a quiet you know, conversion going on. Whether that because I think it's. Part I think it's part of our nature in the sense when things get chaotic, we want normalcy. Our inner compass, you know, finally gets to that point say look, we've got to find some balance. And like you said, Iren's been driven by maybe ten percent. I mean, it's almost the same type of fractions that were used in Germany. Right, It wasn't that everybody was a Nazi. It was a small percentage that was controlling everybody rather abusively, and they drew no quarter, just like they did with you know, with the women the way they you know, they're not and even the men, they're not happy enough just to hang them. It's like, no, before before we kill you, we're going to brutalize the holy what have you, including rape and gang rapes and things like that that these people perpetrate upon, you know, allegedly their own people. They're as barbaric as they come.

22:11 Well, and you know, of course, the Iranians stage these raucous rallies and the people screaming, you know, death to America, and there's defiance in the news media. Oh look at the popular support the regime has. Yeah, well, you know what, there was popular support at the Nuremberg rally too. That was an impressive thing. Those big rallies that Hitler put on that was real impressive. There were lots of Germans who were very enthusiastically supportive of Hitler, okay, and lots of Japanese who were very you know, supportive of the emperor and everything else. That didn't stop us. We didn't say, oh, my goodness, you know, this regime is legitimate because look, the people support it. We may not agree with with the gas chambers and all that, but the people support it, no, I mean, you know. And so obviously from my vantage point, it's easy for me to argue for absolute pristine moral clarity and say, well, we should only get involved in wars for defense of our own shores and this kind of thing. And I'm not arguing that either. And I think the founding fathers wouldn't have either. Certainly, confronted with the reality of modern weapons, like you know, intercontinental ballistic missiles, we don't have the luxury of saying, well, let the other world, the other side of the world unto itself completely.

Here and here we are kind of waiting this thing out. You know, we've got a blockade on the straight which is causing just all kinds of financial problems for Iran. Maybe that might be what it takes, but I don't think so. John.

28:13 That my understanding, and of course in my study of you know, the Middle East military mindset is such, is that they fight to the finish. I don't see them dropping their guns here. I think this is going to require an all out, just attack on their leadership. Well, two red lines, no American boots on the ground, no Iranian refugees in the West. If Trump stays with then those red lines, he might we might be able to win the mid terms and avoid turning Trump's last two years in office into an impeachment circus. I care what happens in America much more than I do what happens anywhere else in the world. America, first, the Iranian government is evil. The Democratic Party is worse, and it's trying to take over here where I live. So I'm not willing to liberate the people of Iran at the cost of subjecting America to the left wing race, to the race communism of autalitarian Democratic Party. James Carville said what the Democrats should do, and they probably will do.

29:22 They'll still pack the Supreme Court, They'll make Puerto Rico estate, they'll make DC a state. In other words, they'll they're going to stack the Senate. They're going to take over in America, and due to us, what's being done to people in Great Britain where Christian preachers are getting arrested for preaching the gospel. Every day a dozen people are arrested for complaining about immigration on Facebook. I'm sorry, I wish the people of Iran well, but I'm not going to liberate Iran at the cost of enslaving America. So Trump needs to find a way to declare victory and leave. Right in my eye, and as sooner the better, because we're biding time here. He doesn't have a way to claim his time. That's right. The midterms are coming, and then you saw what happened in Virginia's.

30:05 Talk about that's an example. Yeah, yeah, well it's an example what the what the Democrats would do. But it's also an example of what the what the Republicans didn't do either. John All of course, the Republican Party put one hundred million dollars into helping a worthless rhino John Cornyn get a fourth term in the Senate where he does nothing except proposed amnesty for immigrants, try to take away Americans guns. He voted he wanted to remove Trump from office. Uh, they spend one hundred million dollars defending him against Ken Paxton, who's a Trump supporting, loyal conservative. But they did. They spent barely a dime fighting this insane Jerrymanderin scheme in Virginia which would disenfranchise the forty eight percent of the state that are Republican by giving them one congressman to nine for the Democrats. Now, thank god, they spent nothing on that. They're spending money trying to kick Thomas Massey out out of out of the House of Representatives.

31:06 And that's on Trump. Trump develops these personal grudges and that that completely obliterates his rationality. Now I understand, I'm from Queen's like Trump my dad. It's like my dad is president. But my dad kept a hatchet under the driver's seat of his car and I remember him waving it at a woman who had cut him off. We get tired of watching that sometimes and seeing all the stuff get me to the next guy, and so we'll do that and we'll have the trades, but heavy pass rush class, a lot of great pass rushers, a lot of great pass catchers. I think the quarterback situation is basically two, Like Thursday night, you're gonna be like, all right, it's either good, it's Mendoza one. And then is Ty Simpson going to get in the first round?

1:25:23 And you know, sometimes we've had as many obviously as five or more in the first round with quarterbacks, but it's more really about the playmakers and the pass rushers. Right, exactly. Well, And as you said, you know, I mean there's been some great surprises over the years. You know, even the last pick could end up being your your quarterback. Right brock perty, yes, sir, you nail it, Bill, Yeah. Right, so all right, so let's talk about teams needs and the top prospects. Break it down. Well, I mean, I think when you start off the bat, you're gonna have the Jets that kind of control the first part of the draft because they have the number two pick and they're going to get a pass rusher. It's just about who they get, and David Bailey seems to make sense. Rvel Reefs seems to make sense. And then you know from then on in the draft. Now, the Cowboys have two picks. Everybody talks about the Cowboys.

1:26:11 They need defensive help. The Giants have a couple of picks, obviously because they traded with the Bengals to get in there too, to get the tenth picks, so they have five and ten. So the Jets and the Giants have a lot of the picks, and we'll control Jets, Giants, and Cowboys. Obviously, Browns have two picks, so a lot of teams that have multiple picks. I think the big story about this draft that people talk about is this year's draft is not near as impactful as next year's, so not having not having as many picks this year necessarily as big of a deal because next year is the draft, So do people move back and get more picks and try to grab next year picks as opposed to having some picks in this year. That will be interesting thing to monitor. So a little game of chess in the middle of football, that's okay, there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, because that was my question I was going to ask you, is how deep is this class?

1:26:57 Yeah, I mean it's you know, the quarterback is it starts at like, so it's not very deep. Next year, I think there's a lot of people that are gonna be looking towards arch Manning Trinidad Chamblis Julian saying, like the list will go on. I think you'll have four or five first round picks next year probably that we'll be breaking down and talking about. So listen, whether you like it or not, that's where it starts, right. Everybody starts with the quarterback position. So this draft has definitely not looked at as a deep draft. You know, of those those players that are going to come in and change a franchise. So when that's the case, the second pick isn't as valuable like the second pick next year with two quarterbacks that are first round picks, highly regarded that changes everything. Yeah, but isn't a little bit of you know, the way the draft works out for you know, some of these young men. I know you went through this as well, but you were you know you were you were picked in the first in the first draft.

Okay, So but even still at seventeen, you said, hey, I'm gonna I'm going to show these guys that didn't pick me earlier than seven teen. Right, So you get a little bit of that happening and inspiration and motivation for guys to you know, step up and figure whatever they got to do, if they've got to lift more weights, if they've got to do some more conditioning, whatever. Is so that when you know, when training camp comes, I mean, you can have some market changes with these players. Right absolutely. I think you first of all, just a culmination of all your hard work, like to get to this point. You're you're jacked up, You're excited, like this is a this is a lifelong dream for a lot of people.

And you know, people absolutely know the guys that are drafted in front of them. Okay, you took so and so in front of me. That's I'm going to go prove you wrong. So there's a lot of there's a lot about the draft that's there's a lot of gamesmanship. Man, there's a lot of smoke. There's a lot of things that are said about people this time of year that you just you take with a grain of salt because you never know the gamesmanship behind it.

What any kind of surprises, anything that you as we wrap things up, that you may want to summarize or just say, hey, watch out for this. No, I don't think. I think if I knew what it was, then everybody else would and there wouldn't be a surprise. But there will be a moment that's literally going to make our jaws drop. And I think ty Simpson is going to be drafted higher than people think. Some people think we'll go to the second round. I don't think it's going to last that long. I think a first round pick is what people will give for a quarterback because they get that extra fifth year where they don't have to pay him out to the wazoo. So that'll probably be a moment in the draft that everybody will be pointing towards.

We're we're based out of Virginia here at NewsBusters in the Media Research Center, and so yeah, we're we're seeing this firsthand, especially in Virginia with with what happened with the redistrict thing, and yeah, you're right, there really wasn't that much spending being done. And it almost seems like the Republican Party in the state is almost leader list and has like almost no rudder trying to organize everybody to spend money or sort of do this. Now we have Ken Kuchinelli, I believe, who's going through the legal route, and apparently there was a judge somewhere in the southwestern part of the state that has put an injunction on it, and and sort of called out how the ballot question was confusing and basically, I don't have it with me here, it's in my car. But the ballot question was so confusing where I voted on Tuesday, they had to give us like a pamphlet that was like triple folded to explain what the question is and what the different language was going to look like. So if you have to hand somebody supplemental material to know how to vote on

1:39:45 a proposal, you're you're getting a little bit too in the weeds, and you're you're definitely up to something. You know. It just goes to tell you how far off the mark we have come. Because our founding fathers initially said, as you'll recall and readings from history, is that proposals in that should be written in every man's language, so it's easily understood. But you get these attorneys and you get these operatives who come in and purposely confuse it, like I mean, I go back to Obamacare and how the architect of Obamacare, he admitted, he said, we purposely confused the proposal because it was too our advantage.

This also reminds me of like with Iran being in the news when they were trying to do the Iran deal. They did not do that in the public eye. They didn't tell the American. People they were working on it, and even the I believe Jensaki when she was over at the States Department, she got asked about it in a press briefing and then they edited the official video of the press conference to edit out the question about it. Yeah, yeah, this is well, you know, we shouldn't be shocked because this is what uh and I hate they make it partisany but but what happens is they make us talk about it that it's Republicans against the Democrats.

That truly is anti American. In my humble opinion, Oh exactly. And you're you're one hundred percent right there where it's they're pitting us against each other and to this point where we have like this very great animosity, uh. Against each other. And even when I when I go home, like like the media is my job, right, so like I don't watch the news when I go home. I'm like, I need to relax, I need to wind down my own a. Mote compressed from all this stuff, yes, exactly. And I have friends who aren't really that political, they don't watch the news at all. And I one hundred percent understand why.

And I watched The View for a Living and there's some days where I just got to like go off watching them or watch them in little spurts and stuff like that, and like they can really get you going. Yeah exactly. I mean the stuff they come up with, I mean it is bizarre. And I was looking at your blog and I was seeing and you know, thanks for saying that you watch the View for a Living, because I saw a lot of the commentary and that you're writing on your blog that was so view focused, So that explains it all the more. But wow, I feel for you. I mean it's almost like I think NewsBusters should you know, make sure that part of your contract includes therapy.

1:42:40 I do get hazard pay so exactly. Well, speaking of which, NPR, Oh what a bummer. You know, we took away public funding of MPR. But you know they did find a way to bail themselves out. Liberal billionaires are you know, writing some checks for to them? Right? Yeah. And basically this new check writing proves two things. It proves that the taxpayer funded public broadcasting has been a griff the entire time. For decades, conservatives have been saying that has been arguing that when we were pushing for the defunding, hey, they'll be able to support themselves. They'll be able to do just find without the government, they'll be competing in the marketplace of ideas and if there's somebody, they're willing to pay out the money for it, and they'll do it. And lo and behold, we actually see this, and it also proves their liberal bias and who it is that their product serves.

1:43:32 You have like these liberal billionaires who really. Liked what they were getting from NPR and PBS, and now you're getting these fundings. Well, in this instance, mostly MPR that people, these liberals want to funnel their money and push it into this, so it actually shows who they were gearing all of their content too. I guess the thing that's hard for me to understand is these billionaires make their money based on this great American idea and capitalism and free markets in that and because they've gotten theres all of a sudden everything should be shut down and they get into this elite mindset of boy, if it wasn't for me, America wouldn't be able to go round and round anymore.

1:44:16 Yeah, it's almost like the ultimate sort of pulling the ladder up behind you while you exactly managed to climb up. Or these people who their families have this wealth that sort of passed down from generation to generation, and essentially they're like they sort of have like this animosity towards their own families, well being their own families, whatever they built throughout the course of a couple generations, and then they're like, oh, this is begotten wealth and we have to I have to redistribute it and give it away and push for these causes that sort of diminish my family standing or push for socialism because they just don't like that their family made money by providing a service. Yeah. I think that that's the attitude of some billionaires.

1:44:58 There's others that is enough. You know. It's kind of like pat Riley, you know, probably about the time you were born, maybe wrote a book, you know, about the Lakers. It's called Showtime, and it was the idea he introduced. He said, you know, even in competition, you get that disease of more. You know, it's never enough, and in some cases with these billionaires, it's never enough. But what really concerns me is that, you know, it'd be one thing if they really were just saying, hey, look at I feel guilty for the money I make. But it's another thing altogether when they, you know, embrace an elitist mindset that almost you know, they transition to almost God likeness.

1:45:38 You know, it's like they put themselves in the place of God, whether it's you know, Bill Gates and Sorrows and these others that feel like, you know, they should be the ones that are orchestrating. I mean, we're finding out some of this information from the Epstein files, for example, I mean there's some crazy stuff Nick that this guy was up to. Oh, yeah, exactly. You have all sorts of people who have like all their wealth, and you have sort of the Epstein side of it, who is mostly trying to grow his wealth in that kind of stuff and do the very aus things to like his fellow man and trying to sort of use and abuse people literally. And then you have sort of the Soros side of it, who he pumps a lot of his money into sort of manipulating the social the social contract, like manipulate government, sort of elevate political ideals over it. And you see sort of these two different sides. They're probably not the only sides, but you see what it is that like that type of wealth can sort of allow you to choose and abuse and manipulate well.

1:46:40 And it's interesting because Soros, i think, is the of the ilk that believes that it's all about bigger government. The bigger the government, the better that government is the answer. Well, our constitution made it clear that we needed to have a smaller government. That the answer is found in way the people. And that's in anathema to people like George Soros and these people with all this money who think that they know better than the. Masses exactly, like putting his money into whatever sort of guiding it towards a like a centralized government construct where you have them trying to thinking that they know all about whether it's farming practices, land and conservation management, how you should construct your home, where you should live, how you should live, like what rights and of speech and self defense you should have access to. Yeah, this is all this stuff here of this sort of globalist mindset, definitely from Soros, where it's to pumping this money into sort of manipulate to try to guide it towards what he personally thinks is right as opposed to allowing people to do what they want and live their lives.

And you think of the cumulative intelligence of you know, three hundred and fifty million people versus you know, what are you talking about maybe a thousand? You know, really elitists that are in their own secret fraternity to think that they have all the. Goods, right, Oh yeah, and they get together they do all this like sort of shady stuff and they just sit on their piles of money thinking that oh, look, look I have all of this. So I should be able to. Be the guiding hand for society and civilization going forward.

Have you done anything that has been advantageous to society exactly? And there's like all the different energy policies where they were pushing for the stuff like in Africa and all these African republics and countries were sort of collapsing, their people sort of rising up to overthrow them and stuff like that. And we've seen it a bit more recently in Asia and stuff like that. All the different revolutions of young people who their countries are just completely their governments are completely corrupt, pushing sort of these agendas, and then they sort of rising up and overthrowing some of their governments to try to bring some more economic opportunity to themselves.
