Like you probably a little disappointed about what happened in Virginia, but really, I mean, look at the Democrats outspent the Republicans, the Yes against the No four to one, and you know, my first thought is talk about disenfranchisement of Virginians because how much dark money did you have involved in the in the campaign? Not to mention the way this ballad was presented exactly, there's just a lot of slide of hand and a lot of deception, I believe, wrapped up into this. And I got to imagine a good percentage of the voters there in Virginia not real happy about this.

1:06 No, it's really there's so much shenani I mean, I just used the word shenanigans. I think that's probably apt. It was just you could just begin to list it the way the ballot, the measure was presented to the voters was absolutely absurd. The word fairness was tossed around repeatedly by the Democrats, and they brought in the big guns. I mean, they had Obama running, they've been running ads twenty four to seven three sixty five for months, brought in a lot of money, poured a lot of money into this, and ultimately we're successful, at least from a pure voting standpoint. I mean the fact the legal problems, of course, where it was presented, it was presented in a manner which was not which was the Constitution of Virginia mandates that if you're going to introduce these ballot initiatives, you have to have the expiration of certain elections.

1:55 And this was introduced in a period of time when. An election was already ongoing, So there was a lot of questionable procedural measurement measures that were utilized here. Those are arguments that are going to be brought up. Of course, the way it was presented with the word fairness, when that's completely completely false, presented to the voters in an improper way. It's it's before the Supreme Court of the Unit of Virginia, not the United States. So the Virginia Supreme Court. I'm not optimistic about it because I really don't think of a court, particularly in lieu of the fact that there was just a statewide voter referendum on it, is going to be in any kind of position to want to look like it's overturning that. So I think the battle, unfortunately, has already been lost for Virginia.

2:36 Regarding this, also, the word temporary was thrown. Around too, which is completely nonsense. There's no way this is going to be a temporary measure. But what you do see here is that, look, the Democrats play for keeps. They're playing. They bring you know, the the old the old line from the untouchables. They they never bring a gun, never bring you to a knife to a gunfight. Right, they bring guns. We while well, the Republicans didther in Indiana poor, all this money into the Texas you know, primary for senator in Texas, all of this they did. They did their around. They play mister nice guy. They want to present to be bipartisan. They don't put the Save America Act up for a vote, they don't nuke the filibuster. You're looking at all of this, they're playing. They're playing this nice man game. Meanwhile, the Democrats are lying to the American people and are playing for keeps, and they don't They have no compunction with doing everything they can, anything necessary to appropriate power. Interestingly, this is just again I'm not alleging that there's actual fraud here, but there's so many things that happened that just raise your hackles here with this.

3:39 For example, fairfex the vote was coming in last night, and Fairfax County, which is a very blue county, right is one of the. Very deep deep blue county. It's really changed demographically, of course with an importation of immigrants, and of course Trump derangement syndrome is located there in mass because it's a lot of federal workers. So but they held back. The results from Fairfax count very late, you know, hours after all of the other counties. I was I was wondering why, because going into it, you're you're looking like it's gonna go down to the feet, and then all of a sudden there's a big swing of three hundred thousand votes, right right. So that's just okay, come on, let's let's if you really want you want to you want to give, you want to undermine the faith and democracy and the faith in the process. That's that's a really that's something you should do, is drop in the most left wing county in the in the state into as a late comer in their vote tality. That's that's smart. I mean, sorry, so.

4:32 So so you think this was all that was orchestrated. I mean, I don't necessarily I won't go so far as to think that, but certainly it's it's very questionable that. One other thing that's interesting too is the number of mail votes is just bizarre. From my perspective. It's how many people vote by mail on a one off ballot initiative in April of an you know, and an April election. Really, who who really goes and fills. Out a ballot when it comes to a one off issue ballot referendum. I don't know anybody who ever does. I don't know anybody who does so. And then there's and of course the numbers skewed dramatically for the Democrats in the mail ballot, in the mail vote. So for another instance, why we say we have to look mail voting is just so ripe for an undue influence and fraud.

5:20 Mail voting is nonsense. Absentee balloting, absent voting appropriate, there are limited circumstances. There's thoroughly defined circumstances where people can vote via absentee ballot. Widespread implementation of mail ballot is just a disaster, a disaster for Republicans politically, a disaster for the country period because it's just so rampant with the opportunities for fraud. You now, this is what you said earlier in terms of you know, coming to a gunfight with a knife. This has long term been the problem, you know, with the Republican Party. I mean, John, my good friend John Za Merrick says, it's like the Republicans are the Washington generals against the hartle them globe trotters. They're just out there just for show, to have some team, you know, take the loss, and they do it, you know, every night, and and happy to do it. It seems the Republicans are the same way.

6:12 I mean. The perfect example is this is that we have we have a solution languishing in the United States Senate right now. Months and months. Ago, the House of Representatives passed the Save America Act, right common sense solutions that overwhelmingly are agreed upon by the United States by the electorate ID when you vote, identification our proof of citizenship when you register to vote, and identify and remove non citizens from the voting roles, common sense measures to protect the integrity of the voting system. And yet John Thune brought it to the floor for debate and consideration, then went on a two week vacation and now hasn't mentioned it since he's come since the Senate's reconvened. This is absolutely absurd that this just demonstrates that these are not serious people who want to solve that want to want to solve the problems facing America right now.

7:00 Well, especially when you got eighty percent of America supporting it. Now, does this address the mail in ballot issue as well? Nothing on that in the Save America Act, but that could be something to build on. And then President Trump does have an executive order that he issued regarding this and it does tighten it up. Now, now this is another issue because the I think the the executive order that he promulgated regarding mail voting, and it doesn't outlaw mail voting, but it tightens up the process. It directs the Postal Service to put on tracking forms, it directs DHS and and other federal agencies to take a more active role in monitoring this. It directs the US Postal Service to promulgate a new regulation regarding security of mail ballots.

7:44 So it's it's a limit. It's a executive order that I think falls within the within the confines, within the parameters of his Article two powers. The question will be is whether it's implemented in time for the midterms. Elections are going forward. But he's again, this is the whole point. Donald Trump is doing whatever he can do to advance the interests of the American people. Here, it's the republic it's the other Republicans that are dragging their feet on this stuff. Right exactly. And it's also I think what is disturbing, you know, going back in terms of the personality, it just seems to be and the culture within the Republican Party rid large, is that they want to acquiesce, they want to play nice, like you said, and then Donald Trump comes in and he's turning tables upside down and he's making things, you know, making things happen that the American people are happy with. But the party isn't catching up with him.

8:36 No, no, And I don't know if they're I don't. I gotta believe at some point Thune's gonna get the message. But I hold up. I mean, I guess I'm the eternal optimist with this. At some point they get the message. But then maybe maybe yesterday, maybe Virginia will will wake people up. Yeah, maybe I will say a couple of things. The Supreme Court has something. Okay, yeah again, I say, I gotta believe at some point some of some events are going to shake the lethargy off of some of these National Republicans, particularly again the Senate Majority leader. I do think that there are gonna be some interesting decisions there are coming down from Scotus number one. I think that the v r A, the louisianaivers Cala decision might come out today. I think that they announced that this Scotus is going to be releasing opinions. Now, there's been some speculation that maybe the left.

14:07 Again this is just speculation. That I've heard. I'm not advancing this, but there was some speculation on x and Twitter that the liberal wing of the Court was dragging their feet on the release of this decision because they don't want it to affect the midterm elections. Keep in mind, what is the issue in Louisiana versus Cala. This is the utilizing race for congressional gerrymandering, right, so not political jerymandering with what happened in Virginia, but it's taking race out of the consideration. And so what that would do, presumably would allow a lot of these states that have had to contend with this to reinstitute some of their own gerrymandering. And you could have drive ostensibly Democrats out. So what happened in Virginia you could start to replicate in Georgia, Florida, maybe others some other states.

14:49 So again, it could the gerrymandering wars could continue, and I think you throw Louisiana versus Cala into it, that's an important. Factor that might come out. I think it might come out. Maybe it'll come out today it would be it would be interesting if on the heels of this Virginia vote, the Supreme Court releases this decision in louisiannivers Cala, so we will see. That that would be interesting. Like you say, you know, you refer to this as a jerry mandering war, like what Josh Holmes said, you know, because the and these are my words though, that the Democrats have become very effective in jerry mandering. They're like ten degree black belts and the Republicans come in with their white belt. I mean they're totally unmatched. I mean they're really not serious.

15:32 And uh and they're allowing the Democrats to capture victories however way they're doing it, uh, dark money and otherwise. But it's like, uh, you know, the Republicans are barely getting on the field of play. But Josh Holmes, he says, uh, this is you know, going up against the Democrats the way the Republicans are going up the Democrats, says, it's like challenging a murder war with a serial killer. You know, the Democrats have just you know, they've had their way and they've been very effective with this. And you know that the Republican Party has got to match, because even the way they approached this, they were like to the dance on this, and you're gonna tell me they didn't see that. You know, the the yes vote was outspending.

16:22 I mean they were running ads twenty four to seven. Yeah, ads twenty four to seven. And voter mobilization efforts. Again, as I said, like, when you saw the mail vote numbers, it's just come on, I mean, how did you manufacture that many mail votes for again an April voting issue referendum that normal people are like, what what are you talking about? It's just they will. What they do is they can mobilize foot soldiers to go to places where they're vulnerable voters, easily influenced voters, and put this in front of them and get them to complete the mail ballot. And I mean it, it's just a numbers game with them, at a resources game. If you hire and it doesn't take a lot, you have three or four hundred people who you pay, you know, twenty dollars an hour for a couple of weeks to go out and get these ballots. They'll go out and do it, and they do do it, and so they're able to Again, I don't it's it's interesting. I always use the term manufacturer of vote. It's not necessarily fraudulently cast, but it's a vote that wouldn't be there.

17:22 But for their action, but for the actions of. The left wing foot soldiers bringing the ballots to somebody, putting it in front of their face, having it fill out, and then taking it back. So the fact that the just the raw numbers of mail votes shows that, you know, maybe there were some I'm not going to go so far as to speculate actual fraud, but a manufacturing of those votes is clearly at play here. And that's they're good at that. And again this is what we say, they're really good at that, and they can use that to make it to make the outcomes of these elections dispositive. Yeah, and the thing is amazing to me. And they're so effective at gas lighting the voter, which support of the mainstream media of course, and talking like you said, talking about fairness and you know, not even considering the disenfranchisement of you know what fifty percent, almost fifty percent of the voters.

18:16 I mean, that's the real takeaway tragedy in this The takeaway is that you're going to have the inner counties in the inner counties near Washington, d C. Dictate the congressional apportionment for the state, and so you're going to have somebody who again I'll just get into a little bit of the details because I'm here, is that Fairfax County for example, I think it'd be a portion for four or five congressional seats at this point. So you'll have somebody, some NGO executive or Washington DCGs fifteen bureaucrat who has no who has does not share any substantial interest with a rural voter, and yet the congressional representation will be shared amongst those voters. So instead of having these reasonably compact congressional districts where you have similar step play so you can elect a representative to Congress whose who can adequately represent your interests, instead you're gonna have, you know, a DC bureaucrat adjacent ally representing rural voters in Goochland County, Virginia. So it's just it's absurd. These inner counties are just gonna get more and more powerful because again it's the such this this deep concentration of blue voters who you can crack open and just you know, have them be influenced that make them dispositive through all these other congressional gerrymandering. It's and you see that if you look at the mass it's hilarious. I mean one of them looks.

19:36 Like a oh no, my goodness. Yes, it's it's it's it's absurd. Ye. The thing is, the other thing I'm I'm mindful of is the reaction of the disenfranchised voters. They're gonna get ticked. I mean, they already are in Virginia. It's amazing they really are in Virginia now because now there's really nothing holding back our governor is. She's going after guns at this point. Which is really really near and dear to a lot of the the rest of I'm in northern Virginia, but outside in northern Virginia it's still a southern state, right, You're going after guns. Her numbers, her numbers have cratered, but I don't think they care. Again, they play for keeps here. They come into power. She ran as a moderate and this is this is the lesson for everybody. Yeah, this is absurd. Io.

20:17 Yeah, even Dana Perino had said had kind of given her an endorsement. Oh yeah, I think she's going to be a good governor and stuff like that, and she was she was embarrassed because, uh, her co host had kind of reminded her of her endorsed, kind of a soft endorsement and consideration. Uh but you know, are we looking at a recall possibly with her? No? No, not now, no way, I mean you can't. It's almost again. Look at this, you this is you're powerless at this point. Virginia now is a one party has become a one party state. We're we're approaching California levels, right, really right, So in California, you know, unless you have these black Swan events, Republicans really don't have any kind of role to play now from from a statewide perspective.

21:01 And so now I think. We're we've unfortunately we've become a one party state. Saw this coming about seven or eight years ago. Uh, you know, it's it's it's an identified strategy. It's a combination of Trump arrangement syndrome and then importation of certain demographics that you can hook onto the government doll and you can get them to vote easily manipulated and get them to vote Democrat. And then you and then you then you put all. These rules in place that that undermine the integrity of the voting systems, and you can manipulate the systems accordingly. It's just it's it's very similar. It's very very similar to what's happened in California. Again, I where I live, loud In County is it used to be semi rural. Now it's just suburban forever with close you know, not not single family homes. Now it's just close compact townhouses and apartment complexes. So you can bring in populations that are going to vote Democrat forever.

21:51 Yea. So it's kind of a it's almost it's not quite a lost cause, but it's certainly getting there. I get it. Well, Maybe, like we keep saying, maybe people need to experience the log gravity enough to finally where they just say, hey, this is enough and they're out, their heads are out the window saying I've had it, I'm fed up, and I'm not going to take it anymore. Maybe, but it so obviously it just seems that pain, more pain may be in the future for Virginia's sorry to say. Maybe nationally, Bill, unless people wake up and understand maybe this can be a Canarian the coal mine for Republicans nationally and conservatives nationally, and understand that you're going to have that. The the left right now wants open borders.

22:33 They don't they they want open borders, They want to remove any kind of citizenship requirement for voting. They want to have chaos, They want entitlement spending to anybody and everybody. Rampant fraud. I have no doubt in my mind that the trillions of dollars that were that went out at the end of the Biden administration have gone to just NGOs for question for waste, fraud and abuse. It's just we're talking an entire party that is built on fraud and waste. And we haven't even talked about what happened with the the SPLC. So I mean that that is, I mean here they are they got caught. I mean here again, fraud is abounding, and it just seems to be so attached with the Democratic Party. I mean here you got fraud.

23:14 Yeah, well, we'll have to pick up on this because, of course the story will continue to develop. And that's the Southern Poverty Law Center. Just in one case they're paying the ku Klux Klan to do their bidding. And and and you know, the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, which we have to hear about, by the way, we hear about years and years like it was a thing. You continue to hear about this. By the way, you're talking two hundred and thirty thousand dollars that was spent to orchestrate that. Of course, when you think about it from a grifter perspective, it makes sense, right, Well, create the problem. If we only have to spend four or five hundred thousand dollars to gin up to black flag an event, you know, to gin up a part an event, and we can profit by ten million, well that makes sense.

It's the mainstream, kind of upper middle class narrative in the United States. And that's I don't want to go into a whole cocktail party rant, but that's actually a real problem. You know, forty five percent of American kids or whatever the exact figure is, think slavery was begun by white people in the New World. You know, in the book you mentioned, which is back here. It looks like I got my video mirrored. But yeah, we talked about some of that stuff, like was the Cold War totally? Was the Red Scare quote unquote during the Cold War just unprovoked backlash against communism?

Or were there major riots involving black and white youth in every major city and so on. So I think a lot of people by this point just believe things that are not true, almost as ad it's problematic. Well, you know, which begs the question here regarding Dui. Some people think you a Dui is dead. I just think that it's just gone underground. Yeah, I mean like the whole dei culture. So there's a there's a famous phrase. I forget who said this. Originally it might have been high critiquing the academic left, but it was like, the left wing ratchet only turns one way. When you have these professional revolutionaries that are in systems like what you have on the campus, they push and push and push in one direction, so you get something like gay marriage, for example. You can approve or disapprove of that. But that was a stopping point for this, and at that point a lot of people said, okay, we've had enough, and you started seeing a backlash in the church and society. But by that point you'd already gotten gay marriage, if that makes sense. So the starting point had been you know, second wave feminism or whatever, and you push in one direction until you get to the next point, and then when there's the backlash, you stop and you consolidate your gains. But from that point, I guess it left would actually be this way, but from that point you're only pushing left again. So now you got trans rites and so on. I think they're

30:14 a combination of traditional people, feminists, a whole bunch of people just said okay, this is ridiculous. So the wratchet was it didn't advance really from the Obergefell point, but it definitely didn't go back, Like we haven't repealed the Supreme Court cases that produced the pro LGBT marriage or pro feminist results. So this is something similarly with DEI getting to the point. I mean, what I'd say you're going to see in these corporations is the vice president of DEI, vice president of HR, the bureaucracy that's there, and that's that's pretty solid for right now. We just kind of made them stop talking for a little bit. In business, I want to do something about that. But yeah, that's that's this is a very common situation.

Yeah, well, this is one of those things when we're talking about these widespread nonsense beliefs like the United States is a white supremacist patriarchy and so on, that people have. Do they have effects? Yeah, they have effects, and I mean like one of those effects. Recently, Pew released the new data on how men and women feel about each other and the almost constant feminist point is that men hate women, men are abusers and rapists and so on. What we actually see is that seventy two percent of young men said they like women five they want more dates if anything, which isn't surprising if you know guys, but they love women, they want to get married only twenty five percent, as I recall, of young women like men.

31:52 You had a big neutral block, and then you had a big negative block of thirty seven percent or some such and a very small percentage of women that we're willing to openly say yes, I like guys as well. So again it's it's a reflection of the narrative in society, I think, where we've heard constantly that men are pigs, men don't like you, men just want to use you. Maybe some truth in the last one, but in general, men and pretseyleid guys. But everyone's heard this, and so women are responding and saying, well, we don't like them either. The problem was that the original claim wasn't true. The original claim that men hate women had no validity, and I see that very very often across fields.

32:34 Are the kids starting to see that that it had no validity or this is this is my story and I'm going to stick to it. Well, I think a lot of them are sticking to it, Bill. I mean it's just, first of all, I don't think a lot of them encounter people. You know, I would say that twenty five percent of women that really like men are probably people that are in the sorority scene, or that are athletes, or that are I mean even something like band. You need to be a nerd and be popular. I mean, like they're doing things where you meet people. Yes, And I think if if you have a brother, it would be impossible to view men as these kind of devilish, wicked beings. Like you might hear them as stupid or brave or driven by physical urges or something, but they're just They're.

But if you grow up in an only child family, which is increasingly common, it's the near majority in most cities, and you go into one of these internet subcultures where you're saying online it'd been the term to before be but act feminist activists, you really don't have that many day to day encounters with normal men. Men are the people that are equally anonymous, screaming back and forth with you. On the Internet, and it's very easy to get pulled into believing that this unreality is reality. And we also see this with black activists, with people in the different quote unquote scenes, even with the alt right, Like, I don't think a lot of those guys get out of their basement very often.

33:57 So it's I don't think. A lot of these people are learning from normal reality. I don't think they see a lot of normal reality. Well, the thing I find quite interesting is that one of the complaints that I hear repeatedly, just in my minimal circles with the opposite sex, is that women have had it, you know, they've had it with objectification. And I said, okay, well you complain about being objectified, but yet you dress in a way that objectifies yourself, So forgive me. There are a couple levels there. First of them, I don't think objectification means anything except mildly disrespectful admiration of women. And I mean it might be a longer term, but if you phrased it that way, no one would believe this is the end of the world.

34:41 I mean sexualization. When women say my husband sexualizes me, I mean I would hope. So, I mean. That's simply, the sexualization is seeing someone as a sexual being and perhaps imagining them in sexual situations. Then it's rude to like do this leeringly in public. Quite obviously. That is how men and women see each other, how you see your girlfriend, of course, that's if you're. Watching a movie with a name like Beach Blanket Bingo. I mean, you're probably noticing that these are very attractive women out there intentionally wearing bikinis. Objectification similarly, you see someone as a sexual object, you admire them in that way. This seems to be almost a dumber version of the early Christian idea of sin, right, Like you're taking the natural normal behavior of people and saying, well, that's imperfect at scale, and assigning these labels to it.

35:34 And I mean, if. You're gonna do that, I mean just to say your confession, you know, like it's you're not doing anything novel. This is again kind of left wing wokeness replacing more functional ways of analyzing the world. But basically, in practice, for these people who don't tend to be the most religious, the term objectification means almost nothing. And yes, of course, like. If you there's a duality that's being sought here, right, would you say if you walk around in a mini skirt, you're going to be objectified by guys? Now, my first point is a grammar point that doesn't mean anything anyway. But of course men are going to look at you admiringly. That's why you're wearing the thing. So what feminists are demanding is the right to walk around in the mini skirt, not only without rudeness, but without men noticing them unless they are attracted to the individual guy.

36:25 And that's just fantasy, right exactly, that's not going to happen. Yeah, once you put yourself out in the marketplace and you want to be appealable. And the fact of the matter is is that guys are wiring is is that our very nature is we admire beauty. That's the way God wired us. So you know, there's nothing wrong with it. It's only when you know, when you cross the line and you're inappropriate. I get that, But it's just that you know, the construct that some of these women are developing here, it's just gonna be I mean, what kind of marriage are they going to have? Will? Yeah? Well I think this is and if you look at the data on sort of sexless marriages or marriages where there's constant fighting over everything.

I think a source of that is that refusal to grapple with reality that men on average, I mean, if you want to put this politely, often prefer the love language of physical touch, or women talk. More than men. So you, as a guy are going to have to adjust to exploring more of your emotions than you normally would with male friends. With your wife. I've certainly seen that with my fiance. And if you just refuse to accept that that your partner has physical emotional financial needs because that shouldn't be she shouldn't like me for my money and bravery, you sometimes see the guys starting to say this as well.

And again, I think a lot of these people when I said that a lot of feminism sounds like an attempt to replace religious or spiritual principles around dating and marriage. I mean, Jefferson, we both dropped some spiritual references, as Jefferson famously said, I believe with Jefferson. You know, if men were angels, no government would be needed. And the meaning of that is that if no one was inclined to steal, no one is inclined to compete and fight cheat in business, you wouldn't require external regulation. But we do. And the Constitution provides that regulation at the level of the individual citizen. You have the right to speak, right to use weapons, so on, and also understands that humans aren't perfect. So, and I'm kind of repeating myself here, but the Constitution includes provisions for a process for amending the Constitution. The Constitution has all of these awkward compromises in it. How do you count slaves and indentured servants for purposes of voting? Awkward to talk about it. You need to figure that out. So the Constitution is a document written for reality, and progressivism is at this point a very idealized system that includes all these almost faith statements. Again, so all differences between people groups are the result of prejudice.

44:12 For example, so it's very hard in one sentence, to maintain the absolute right of the individual to speak freely, to associate freely, right all of this other stuff while at the same time saying we have to close every gap between white and black Americans, whatever that takes. And Thomas goes deeper than I just did there. But you can't have the utopian top down society where every white black gap has to be controlled by the state, black Hispanic gap, Asian white gap, and then also a society where people can assemble protests interact as they see fit. So I would agree with him.

44:52 I don't think that those sort of early almost philosophical documents focused on the level of the person are compatible with what Thomas's opponents, even on the court, would want. Right exactly. Well, to me, progressivism promotes a combative environment as opposed to you know, the Constitution. Yes, we acknowledge our differences, but we're also given you the right to express those differences, right. Yeah, well, progressivism the use of the term, right, I think it's important there. So progressivism very specifically says, I think there are three principles at the core of it.

45:36 Society is structured to oppress you. I mean, that's basic, Richard Delgado, Jen Stefanchik. Society is set up to oppress women, blacks, et cetera. Two, all gaps and performance basically reflect that oppression. And three the solution is equity, which is decisions made at the level of large groups to produce equality. Equity is proportional presentation regardless of performance. You could say, and we've both been bosses, you see, that's how it operates. The Constitution is the almost again, the exact reverse of that. Like, you as a person have the right to associate as you see fit. And notice that the Civil Rights Act is really limited that. Like, without getting into whether this is good or bad, I mean, if you wanted to set up a golf club and say we target upper middle class white and African American men, that would absolutely be forbidden. So I mean, you're you're, you see this conflict in every aspect of society. But the Constitution you have the right to associate as you see fit, speak as you see fit, arm yourself as you see fit, and the results of your actions will be what they are.

46:44 There's not even an income tax prescribed in the Constitution. We don't get one until nineteen thirteen. There's no welfare state set up, So you have a massive clash between everyone must be made equal and I can do what I want as a free tax paying citizen, and I strongly prefer the second of those bill. Yeah, exactly. Well, and this is what we're dealing with. This is what's created this dynamic tension, as you said, this equity issue, you know, between the haves and have nots, and you know, we've got billionaires and you've got Bernie Sanders and everybody out there. You know, because he was before yelling about millionaires and then he became a millionaire, so then he had to talk to about billionaires. Right, So he's just moving up the ladder as long as it keeps away from, you know, bringing too much attention to his his balance and his checkbook.

47:30 Yeah, so there are two things there. One, I mean, your joke is funny, but it's real. I mean, Bernie Sanders for years had a speech where he closed with and we're going to get the millionaires and the billionaires, and then Bernie big Bernie. Good for him. He went over I think ten million dollars, He sold two books, he made some good real estate deals. His wife was the president of a college, they bought some land. So this guy's worth ten fifteen million bucks. And then all of a sudden it became the billionaires. It's the same speech, but with the big line drop. So anyway, good for Bernie. I don't hate it. Another man making his money, lining his pockets. But the problem with that, though, is that it does reflect something deeper, which is that if you allow real competition, you're gonna have outcomes that don't match up. Whereas the average guy that you have a lot of bums. First of all, almost whatever the term is, people have nothing.

48:17 Then you have the average guy that makes fifty thousand a year. Then you have like you or me, you're doing well in business, you know it's good. Good. Then you have. Bernie Sanders, he's worth fifteen million, he's at a little higher. And then you have Elon Musk who's worth seven hundred billion dollars. And that's the distribution of wealth that you get in a fair competitive system. And you also get that distribution. It's either going to be Bell Curb or Gaussian. Right. You're gonna get that in. IQ scores, you're gonna get that in success, in dating markets. You're gonna get that in everything. And people who are failing are going to object to that, and they're going to say, well, aren't I a man You know, as Frederick Douglas asks, you don't I deserve as much as you well, sure, emotionally, spirit actually, but if you agree to compete, we know we don't have to equalize every competition because that's communism.

49:06 But that's where a lot of people want. The solution is almost always the revolutionary communism, in my opinion. Yeah, and then when you do that, you mediocritize the masses. And to me, that's such it's so disdainful and distasteful, you know, for me to live in the realm of the mediocre. That's just read. Oh, I agree. I don't want to say it like I'd rather die than live an average life selling vinyl siding. That's probably not true, you know, but it's I do think then it's not the wrong selling vinyl siding guys any honest work. But anyway, I yeah, it's. Kind of lost track of thought there. You can never train I was pretty fast in high school, but you could never train me to catch gout gout that Senegaluese Australian guy who just ran at two hundred meters in eighteen seconds or something like that. And this is actually what communism did in practice. This isn't just right wing ranting like to equalize everything across society. They didn't just come for the top class. They came for the culos, the well off peasants. So there was I think this could be wrong. I don't speak the language, but I think kulock means two cows. I e. There were people that had more than one milch cow that had bought land over the years from the local noble that had done well, they had truck gardens, and those people were brutally targeted. They were killed, wives were raped because they had the misfortune of being better off than the average person. So you're taking basically that ancient vice of envy and you're making it the guiding principle of society in a lot of these theories. Are women actually physically equal to men? You know, at least verbally? Are men intellectually equal to many women? Are African Americans currently at exactly the same cultural level as the wasp bupper middle class? This is a genetic that's cultural, But are they if you test for English, you know, the same thing.

That's going to get a hearing in some places, and they're not going to usually be places that are doing all that. Well right exactly, and again, this is why America flourished because we came. You can be equal in poverty, or you can have a diversity of types of success, and I would prefer a model too. And meanwhile America is controlling you know, everything over Iran by land, sea and an air.

So in those countries, then we can have a good, strong NATO. We're going to be talking about a deadly blood cancer that few people know about and who it hits the hardest. Doctor Brandon Blue is with us easy assistant member and clinical instructor in the Department of Malignant Hermatology at Maffitt Cancer Center, and we have a to myloma multiple maloma survivor. Tony going to be joining us as well to tell us his story because Multiple myeloma is a rare and difficult to diagnose cancer because it often produces no symptoms in early stages, and later symptoms often mimic common age related conditions like you know, fatigue, pain, or low blood cell count. Now, this complex blood cancer disproportionately affects those of African descent, who are twice as likely to be diagnosed with the disease.

Well, what is MM and how does CARTI therapy work to combat this disease? Yeah, great question. So, you know, I just want to let everyone know that we're working with Johnson and Johnson a Legio Biotech, just to have me here today, just to discuss really my experience is about multiple maloma and really what some of these new treatments are. So when you say what is multiple maloma, the first thing I say is it's something that people may have never heard of, but unfortunately the problem is is that it is disproportionately affecting people of color. So what happens is is that inside of your bones, you unfortunately can get a cancer inside the marrow, which is actually the part that's inside the actual bone structure itself. Okay, well, the reason that you have a bone marrow is that is what makes your blood cells. So the fact that you can get a cancer in that marrow is really sometimes can be unfortunate and unfortunate. That's the reason why sometimes multiple maloma may not have some of the more distinct symptoms or lumps or bumps that you can feel with other cancers. Well, the thing is is that because of the difficult nature of the disease, we for a long time didn't have very good options. We didn't have really good treatment plan

1:27:59 for patients with this disease. But recently, what we've been able to do is we've been used what they call CART cell therapy, which is a new and innovative way to kill cancer. What happens with CART is that we use the body's immune system to be able to fight off cancer. All Right, when you think about immune system, Bill, you might think about fighting off you know, an infection, Well, what if we can use that same immune system now fight off your cancer. And so we've seen some great results and we just wanted to tell people about car VICTI, which is one of the options for people when it comes to cart cell therapy for multiple maloma. What a great story here, doctor Blue. Now, how can patients be better advocates for their care and work with their healthcare professionals to decide on the treatment that's best for them.

So what I always tell people to do, it is really important to talk to your doctor and say, hey, I heard on the Bill Martinez Show about this new therapy. Isn't that the right thing for me? It might be or it might not be, But that's where a discussion comes in with your provider, or if you just want to read about it, go to carvicti dot com. But those would be ways that you educate yourself as well as ask your doctor is it a right fit? Well? What about key barriers? You know, we kind of alluded to that in the introduction that prevent earlier diagnosis and access to innovative treatments for MM in diverse or minority communities.

One of the big things that unfortunately happens is is that the symptoms of multi my loma could be, you know, back pain, So people will kind of downplay it and say, oh, well, my back pain is due to pull muscle, or people say, oh, one of the symptom multi my loma is fatigue. Well, people say, wow, I don't have energy because I didn't sleep good last night. The whole time is because a cancer is unfortunately brewing inside of their body. So that's why I think it's important for people to have what they call a primary care doctor so that they can have a relationship with them and say, hey, I feel different. Something is off with in my I don't know what it is. But then that's where the doctor can take it from there and say, hey, let's check you for this blood disease known as multiple maloma.

1:30:09 Well we want to talk to Tony. Now he's an MM survivor. Tony, you look like you're in pretty good shape. So probably some of the things that doctor alluded to because you know, being athletic myself, you know, if I'm a little tired or things, I just write it off to maybe a bad night's sleep, and that sort of thing. Was that some of your thinking as well early on? Actually I won't say it was so much some of my thinking early on, but whenever I first went to the er to be because I wasn't feeling well and I had an unfortunate fall working with the client, and I realized in that moment after getting a X ray there were no incidental findings there, and they just looked at me and was like, oh, you're a guy that works out, and they sent me home with the script a muscle relaxers, and so I was kind.

1:31:02 Of ignored in that moment. So but I was just very diligent, and you know, after that fall working with the client, I followed up with another with a neurosurgeon who ordered an MRI which revealed multiple fractures in a serious back injury injury where I ended back up in the er again and was close to being discharged without answers until I had someone special and close to me that stepped in and advocated for additional testing where I finally got my high risk multiple myeloma diagnosis back on September eighteenth of twenty thirteen at the age of thirty nine.

1:31:42 So, and that's when you connected with a psychologist. Yes, that's after that diagnosis, I connected with my oncologist who is a oncologist multiple myeloma specialists, just like doctor Blue, and they did other testing that really verified everything. But you want to so. The community can and everyone can be diagnosed early on through a primary care physician and through multiple tests and different testing. I want individuals to know in patients that I don't want them to end up in the emergency room or in a critical condition that I was in where I had multiple spine of fractories and I was in kidney failure and anemia, you know, for I was diagnosed.

1:32:30 So you didn't do things simple. I mean you just had to do it in a dramatic story of way, right, Joni. It seems that way absolutely. So from a patient perspective, you gave a little bit of advice, But I want you to wrap that a little bit more. What would you say to patients you know that maybe faced with this with MM. Yeah, I think you know, I would give that I think a message from me to patients would be a relapse can feel discouraging or if you're going through this. And I've been there, but it's not the end of the role. There are more options today than ever before, and new treatments continue to evolve.

1:33:17 My message is simple, don't lose hope. Stay encouraged in your care, have honest conversations with your doctor, and keep advocating for yourself. Every step forward matters, and there is still so much possibility ahead. Yeah, doctor Blue, I want to bring you back because Tony mentioned a relapse with MM. Explain to our audience a little bit about that if you would. Yeah. So, Unfortunately, as of right now, multipart loma is not necessarily a curable disease, all right, which means that you will have this disease for your lifetime. The issue is that we want to change that, right, and so until that happens, what happens is that your disease goes into remission or it gets under control, but then unfortunately the cancer grows again is what we call relapses. And so what we know is that we have great options so that even if your cancer were to grow again, that we can get it right back down. Or at least try our best. And so because the more options that you have, the better chances it will be to get your cancer back into a remission so the cancer can basically go back to sleep. And that's that's my job as an oncologist to do my best to put that cancer back to sleep.

Explain to our audience what that looks like and how you would recommend that patients be. You know, as we've always said, patients are their best advocates. Right, Yes, absolutely, I think first, know your vorce matters. No one knows your body. And your experience better than your j Don't be afraid to ask questions. No question is too small. If something doesn't feel right, speak up. If you need clarity, ask for it, and if you feel unheard, it's okay to seek another opinion. Also, be intentional about where you get your information. I always tell people to stay off doctor Google and instead rely on trusted sources and your care team.

On the day of wrath, when God's righteous judgment will be revealed, he will render to each one according to his works. To those who, by patience and well doing, seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self seeking and do not obey the truth but obey
