And when you see that, there's trends that happen in civilizations, and it's almost like we've separated from the Judeo Christian past because of things like abortion and all the gay and the trans issues. But now we're seeing an influx of Islam. And when you look at the fourteen hundred years of history that areas of the world that had been Christian have been taken over by it by Islam, and it's like a drive neutral reverse. You go from a Judaeo Christian past into a secular, free sex abortion present, and that just leads the door open for an Islamic future.

1:47 So we see churches by the hundreds being empty and being purchased by Muslims, interned into mosques all across Europe. On sense on the dollar bill, they're buying out these churches. It's incredible. And the thing is, I just want to just rewind for just a second here when we talk about Christianity and moving away from Judaeo Christian principles, we've got to go to the source. The source is God himself. That's what we're moving away from. We're moving away from God himself that has laid all these building blocks down for a civilized society. Right. Yes, Deuteronomy twenty eight in the Bible has blessings and cursings.

2:30 And if a nation hearkens to the voice of the Lord, they'll be the head, not the tail, above and not beneath. They'll be blessed, coming in, blessed coming out. If a nation does not hearken to the voice of the Lord, there'll be a debtor, and the stranger will come in amongst them. And rise up above them, and they will be the head, and you will be the tale. So how did God judge ancient Israel when they send He let the stranger come in, the Amlachie hit type bo by termite, philip parasite, all the mosquito, bites, all the eyes. And then they were judged, and then they repented, and then God raised up a deliverer, Joshua, Gideon, Samson, Jeptha. And so you look at the West.

3:13 We're the most in debt nation in world history. I just read thirty seven excuse me, thirty nine trillion dollars in debt. It's getting to the place where all the income coming in from taxes is not going to even pay the interest. What are we doing. We're creating money out of nothing to buy our own debt. It's unsustainable. And so debt is judgment. And then you look at how else you have. In the Bible, Manassa was a wicked king and he was sacrificing children to Moloch. And the prophets come to him and tell them that you're doing the same thing that the Canaani that were here before Israel came in.

4:01 We're doing God judged, Yes, yeah. There's nothing more unjust than killing an innocent baby that didn't do anything wrong. One time I was with Alan Keys and they were asking him this question, well, how can you be pro life but also for the death penalty, and he said easy, guilty versus innocent. He says that the guilty person has committed a crime. He's gone through a jury of the trial of his peers, and they've examined all the evidence, and they say that he's guilty of murder. Where that the innocent child didn't do anything wrong. Why would you give it the death penalty if it didn't do anything wrong. Anybody that knows that's unjust. And if God is silent when injustice goes on, he's giving consent to the sin in law. It's called the rule of tacit admission tacit, and it's in a wedding ceremony the pastor says, anyone president knows any reason this couple should not be joined together, Holy matrimonies, speak now or forever, hold your peace. Well, if you're at the wedding and you're holding your peace and you're silent, you're actually giving consent to the way.

5:08 Your tacit agreement. Yes, exactly you know. Leviticus twenty says, any Israelite or foreigner who sacrifices a child the moloch as we put to death. If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children in bulk, I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people. All you have to do is close your eyes while your neighbor kills the kid, and you are cut off. You've given your approval, your tacit approval to the killing by being silent. And so the verse everyone has memorized is Leviticus nineteen eighteen. Love your neighbor as yourself. The verse immediately before it says, confront your neighbor directly, so you will not be held guilty for their sin. So they're loving each other, and they're confronting each other. It's like you love your kid.

6:00 You love your kid, but every now and then you got to confront your kid. And so God Proverbs six, the Lord hates the shedding of innocent blood. So you got this king Manassa, and he. Is the. Son of Hezekiah, the good king Hezekiah. But Manassa is bad and he sacrificing and kids. The molok and the prophets come to him and says, you're doing the same thing that the people that were here before Israel came in were doing, and because they were doing it, I brought in Israel to judge them, and because you're doing it, I'm going. To drive you out. So the judgment was pronounced. Now, Manassa had a grandson named Josiah, and he was eight years old when he became the king. Teenager, he starts to seek the Lord early twenties. He tells him to clean out the temple that his granddad had trashed, and they find the Law of God, and they read it to this young king, and he rips his garments and repents and sends messengers to a prophetess in town named hold Up, the wife of the king's tailor, and she tells the messengers tell the man that sends you that judgments coming, but not during his lifetime because he repented.

7:13 And so for the rest of the thirty one year reign of Josiah there's peace and prosperity, a big huge passover tarestimes out of my temples. Tells the levitt to go out and teach the law, there's a revival, and during that revival is pretty much when Daniel, Shadrach, Meshak and the Bendigo came to the faith. Right. But this idea is that. Judgment, the sin was committed, judgment was pronounced, but because they repentant, got put. Off the judgment. And you look at us in America and all the millions that we've killed, and that what's a just God to do. If he's silent, he's giving his consent, So judgment's coming. But if we repent, he can put it off.

7:54 And then it's the next generation's turn to put it off for their generation. But at some point hit the fan, you know, the Book of Revelation. But you know, I think that if we repent, it's like a GPS. It can take the longer route to get to the destination, but if we don't repent, it'll take the shorter route. Right well, And historically when we read in the Old Testament, there were those times of repentance, just like you know with Jonah and Nineveh, and God gave them a hundred year reprieve. But us being humanoids and fallen, there's just something about our fallen nature that takes us back to sin, and you know, you think about it. I love in the Old Testament when God speaks to the people because they're saying, well, they were sacrificing, they were justifying the sacrificing of their children to God. And God says, I never who came up with in essence, who came up with this idea? I never would never ever think of having you sacrifice your children as an offering to me, right right, And there's no argument about that. But you know, again, in our own silliness and humanity, we come up with the you know, religion and the ways to worship God according to our own eyes. Got to go to quick break.

To get us to pause and really recommit, I think this is a time to hit the reset button, Bill and repent and and really think, you know, like you said in ever since Roe v. Wade, even before then, before Scotis had decided to make abortion legal, you know, we've totaled now over one hundred million babies that have been murdered in our country alone. Bill, And this is not even of course, these numbers are hard to really hard to estimate because they don't want us to know the truth. The people the abortion industry wants to just you know, get by, tell us, hey, it's okay. You know, we're providing you know, needed services to women. Don't look over there at that number about how many people are being you know, how many young people are being murdered

15:26 in their mother's womb on a daily basis. You know, that's irrelevant, you know, because we're doing mammograms and we're checking you know, women's health and that's most important, right. The budget last year that they passed. At first, they wanted to defund Planned Parenthood. You know, years ago I met Norma McCorvey. She was the. Row of Roe v. Wade, and so she was working at an abortion clinic. She actually got pregnant and then the ACLU picked up the lawsuit and sued, but it wasn't settled, so she actually gave birth. So she never herself had an abortion, but she was working an abortion clinic and in that same building was Flip Benham and his pro life organization and his staff would just love on her and witness tour.

17:12 And after several years of that lo and behold, she became a Christian and he baptized her. And then she realized what she did was wrong, and she came out publicly. Even on ABC's World News Tonight, after twenty three years after Rob Wade, she says, I think abortion is wrong. I think what I did with Rob Wade was wrong. The USA Today interviewed her and she said that when nobody was in that abortion clinics, I went into the procedure room laid down on the table trying to imagine what it would be like having an abortion. I broke down and cried. And then a friend of mine's, Alan Parker, with a Justice Foundation, and so he wrote a book reversing Rob Wade, and he's the one who brought the case that worked us all the way up to the Supreme Court, and they eventually decided the case in Dobbs versus Jackson that the federal government was going to be hands off. So that was great, but now it goes to the states and then you have big money groups pumping millions of dollars into states for their petition and amendment process, because in several states all you need is fifty one percent to have a constitutional amendment added to the state constitution. There's all this out of state money coming in and they get people that lie when they're

18:42 collecting petitions, saying oh, this isn't going to you know, change anything, and they get people to sign it, They deliver all those signatures, they get it on the ballot, they do this big push. We were in Florida. We are in Florida, but they had all these commercial like, you know, if your daughter is rape, should she have to carry the rapist baby? And all these heart wrenching things to get people to vote a certain way on this amendment, which, oh. By the way, rape, according to Gunnamocker, is probably less than two percent, maybe one percent of the pregnancies that are involved. Yeah, so for a very rare exception, all of a sudden, you know, this opens up and negates ninety nine ninety eight percent of the babies out there.

19:33 Yeah, and it's heart wrenching when you again you go back to the fact that why punish the baby, It didn't do anything wrong. What does it have to be punish the rapists? Give him the death penalty? But the baby's an innocent third person. Proverbs twenty four says, rescue those who are who are unjustly sentenced to death. Don't stand back and let them die. Don't try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn't know about it. For God, who knows all hearts, knows yours, and he knows that you knew, and he will hold you accountable. And you know.

20:14 The English contemporary English version of that says, don't fail to rescue those who are doomed to die. Don't say I didn't know it. There's even a an er V translation says, if you see someone on their way to death or in danger being killed, you must do something to save them. You cannot say it's none of my business. The Lord knows everything, and he knows why you do things. He watches you and will pay you back for what you do. So we can't say that, oh, that's somebody else doing it, and you know, I don't want to talk about it. It's like no, God, God knows your heart, and if you're silent, you're giving consent. And so we need to do what we can. And that's why we've had pro life organizations. Father Frank Pavone's a friend of mine, priests for life. He's been a courageous leader, and so we're called upon. There's a quote from George Mason, and he was one of the founding fathers that helped write the First Amendment, and he said this in seventeen eighty seven, as nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this by an inevitable chain of causes and effects. Providence punishes national sins with national calamities.

21:36 Lincoln drew that connection chiseled and stone on the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, d c. Is his second inaugural address, and he said, if every drop of blood drawn by the bondsman's whip must be repaid by a drop of blood drawn by the sword, let it be said the judgments of the Lord are altogether true and righteous. Lincoln was connecting this sin of slavery with the judgment of the Civil War. Is anybody going to connect the sin of abortion with judgment on a nation? Financial is one of the judgments, like thirty seven trillion dollars worth of debt, But also the stranger comes in amongst you and rises up above you and they'll be the head and you'll be the tail. And so here are the news headlines of Somali Muslims coming in, millions of them during the Obama Biden years, and what are they doing? Filling out fraud?

22:33 So we the taxpayer are paying them hundreds of billions of dollars were basically and it's interesting when you compare that when Muslims would conquer a country over the fourteen hundred year history, they would make the country they conquered into Dimi status, which means they have to pay taxes to support the Muslim conquerors. And so they view them having conquered us, and we're now demium. We have to pay our new conquerors. So they see no problem in US having to pay this fraud for daycare centers and for medical transportation vehicles which they just use his cars and adult data centers to take care of their parents.

What do we do? Bill? Well repent In Jeremiah eighteen, it says, if I pronounce judgment on a country and they repent, I'll change my mind. It's like if you have a magnet and it's attracting judgment. If you flip the magnet, it'll repel the judgment. And so we need to repent. Cain's killed his brother Abel, and God told Caine, your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground, what. Was it crying? An injustice was done. You're a just God. You have to judge the that did it.

24:01 Otherwise you're giving your consent. So if one person ables blood cries out, think of the one hundred million that's crying out. So we need to repent. And I do believe that God is a loving, merciful God, and if we repent, it'll give us time, just like he did with ancient Israel. He the wording, ladson, gentleman, Yes, that's the call. God loves us. He loves you, and he wants us to be in communion with him, but he cannot commune with evil, and we must change and repent from our evil ways. And his promises are true and it's been consistent in time and memorium of human history. He is a forgiving God.

Yeah, always a pleasure in the happy new year and interesting starts the new year. Yeah you think, I mean we hit the ground running. I mean you were just getting over a hangover and then all of a sudden, you know, Trump decides, okay, it's time to turn the tables upside down. Yeah. Well, you know, surprised if this is if this isn't telling of anything what's to come. It's going to be an interesting year. Right, Yeah, Well, you know I think It's quite interesting because where we are right now is you got seventy seven million people who elected Donald Trump to do this are elated. You've got a small number of media types and democratic apparatic operatives that are just absolutely losing their mind.

I mean when it comes down to it, I mean, here's a dictator who is really has become a drug cartel in and of himself, killing hundreds of thousands of our young people every year. And somehow that's a problem to go in and you know, fulfill an indictment. Right well, not only that, not only is Maduro, you know, a tyrant. Not only was he killing and suppressing his own citizens. Not only did he, along with Chavez before him, destroy one of the top economies in the entire world and turn into one of the poorest countries in the entire world. Not only did he do all that, but not only was he facilitating drug trade, not only was he bringing in Chinese and Russian influence all throughout Latin America.

30:26 But the Biden administration also acknowledged this. The Biden administration was also talking about regime change. The Biden administration put a twenty five million dollar bounty on Maduro's head, and Republicans and Democrats both were in support of it. This was a bipartisan issue. Even the restoration of the Monroe Doctrine was passed overwhelmingly bipartisan. Just recently in the National Security Act, Republicans and Democrats voted on it and overwhelming approved it, including all the proposed operations throughout Latin America. So, whether it's the overthrow of Maduro, whether it's regime change, whether it is the restoration of the Monroe Doctor and the pushing out of China and Russia from Latin America, all of this was bipartisan. You're watching, You're watching a lot of smoke and mirrors right now with the you know, fake out cry.

31:21 I'd say, so, why is it a problem now? Well, it's a problem now because Trump did it, not Biden, right. Number one, exactly. Yeah. I think the other thing is is you got some Democratic operatives who realized that maybe they're cash cows over because you know as well as I do, Joshua, this stuff wasn't happening all these years without a quid pro quo kind of you know, payback operation. Well, and the horrible reality is we actually almost got pulled into a full scale war. Okay, let's talk about what could have happened. Okay, let's say Trump does not go in and capture Maduro. What was going to happen, Let's talk about it. Maduro was about to invade Guyana, just north of them, actually just just a couple months before they blew up, before the Trump adminstration blew up.

32:16 The first drug boat coming from Venezuela just a couple months before that. Basically, what happened is this Venezuela under Maduro claimed they have historical ownership over all of the oil rights in regions of Guyana. Guyana is a very small country just north of them, and basically they found one of the largest oil reserves in the entire world several years back. Every country wants it now. A lot of that's a lot of that is legitimate oil exploration. Eggs on mobile, you know, when people say, well Trump did this role, We're already present there. Eggs on mobile is there. We're already doing a lot of the oil explorations. We're already doing it. Maduro claimed he owned it, just like Trump is now saying, well, no, we on your stuff.

33:00 Maduro did that to the United States, the international courts were blocking, we're blocking him from doing it. Maduro then went in his own legal system and claimed they passed it in their own legal system, saying that he has the authority to defy the international legal systems and to literally invade another country and steal its oil. And then Marco and then they were going to do it with Brazil. They moved there at the time when they started blonging with these boats, they had already moved their entire military to the border, and they had already started live fire exercises, and they moved their navy right next to all the oil platforms, including those of Eggs on mobile and so actually Secretary of State Marko Rubio went down there and actually challenged him. He said, look, if you keep doing this is going to be bad news for you. They had they done this, and I was in Panama doing investigative work just a couple of years ago. I was looking into the border crisis, especially the Darien gap. Everybody was talking about it because they were preparing. They were preparing because they said, but if Venezuela invades Guyana, America will be forced to intervene, because again we have a lot of oil rights there. It would have been our territory too, and we would have been pulled into a full scale regional war jungle warfare like Vietnam in Latin America, and that would have caused a migration crisis. Brazil would have been involved, Colombia would have been involved. You would have had a massive migrant influx going up through the Darien Gap coming into the United States and it would have massively destabilized US. And so Trump Trump pulling this

34:31 Trump card out, you know, pun intended and just capturing Maduro probably avoided a large scale regional war. Are you surprised that this was so underreported? I mean you reported on it, but I mean how could you ignore something like this. I mean this is like deja vu. Let's say Russia and Ukraine all over again, right, I mean when you have forces mounting up in the border and you think, oh, maybe they're just there to you know, burn up some some moors and have a hot dog roast and stuff like that. Oh no, all this military uh you know, supply chain that's coming into play. What did you think was going to happen there? Yeah, Well on the other side too, the Chinese Communist Party was planning on supporting Venezuela through internal production. They were actually saying, Okay, well, we can't send you armaments, but we're going to use your factories and we're going to produce Chinese military arms in your factories, including hypersonic missiles.

35:26 They would have had the capability to target and possibly destroy American warships. They were on track to doing that. They were currently This. Is and this is all validated, right, Josh, I mean we're not just this is this is a conspiracy here, right. This is public public. They were, they were already doing this. Had we had we given them maybe three months roughly, they would have had some of that product production underway. Uh, they would have all you had. You literally had a Chinese delegation there when Trump when Trump abducted Maduro, I wonder, I wonder if you did it in front of him, to be honest, but but you had a Chinese delegation there talking to them about this stuff. When when that happened, and so Trump just pulled out, you know, saying no plans off the table. Uh you know, here's a one way ticket to New York and uh, you know, game game over. That That was how he did it.

36:18 Wow. And uh and the way in which it was done, Uh, it demonstrated Uh. I mean the geopolitical impact of that action has just been phenomenal, has it not. I mean, it really says a lot to our adversaries and even our allies to say, hey, you know what, these guys can kick butt. They're serious. Maybe we better be careful here. Well, you know. And that's the new doctrine of the US Department Defense, or now they call it the Department of War War, right, is we're not playing games anymore. The American military is unbelievably capable. We we can we can destroy our enemies so hard that literally the concern of Congress is not that we're going to lose, the concern of Congress is that we're we're too mean when we go to war. They say that American troops can't shoot unless shot at first. They say American troops can't do their job. They say American troops can't return fire and mortar positions until you call it in and get permission, until they move the mortars and we hit blank spots.

37:18 Our guys have been fighting with one arm tied behind their backs because we're so effective at what we do, and we have the capabilities to do leadership to capitation just like you just watched. We have the capabilities to avoid full scale wars of just going after the soft spots and blowing it up in one shot. We America right now is demonstrated. Look, we don't even have to go to war with you. We can destroy you economically like we're doing to Cuba right now. We can destroy you through economics and influence like we're doing to Iran right now. And basically Trump is saying, we're gonna stop playing these little games. We're not gonna get pulled into full scale wars so the you know, military industrial complex can make money off it. We're just gonna do what we want. We're gonna go and there, get rid of our enemies, and then we'll play ball afterwards. We'll make deals with you, but we're not going to play these games anymore.

I was a Vietnam Eravet served in the Marine Corps as well, and so I thank your grandfather for his service. But what did he tell you?

43:05 Well, you know, he came back from Vietnam watching his buddies die in front of him, having to fight a war that he thought was you know, we had the support of the American people and a bunch of hippies through dog poop at him. And he never let that go. Yeah, he was. He and others like yourself were demonized by the public, demonized by the media. You had these puppeteer you know, puppet puppeteer journalists going to the Soviet Union writting glowing pieces about communism, demonizing American troops as we were fighting and dying to try to stop them from falling into Communist tyranny, which they did, and just atrocities committed against them afterwards. You know, look a look at what happened with the boat people fleeing that country, American American Americans, yeah, or the killing fields were you know, roughly a third of Cambodia was killed off by their dirty communist government, right, just disgusting stuff. And and for some reason, American troops being demonized going in and fighting the people committing atrocities in every part of the world at the time, are the bad guys. When China and Russia collectively, right in the Soviet Union collectively killed, you know, Mao Zadong alone seventy to one hundred million people killed, and they want to talk about the Americans being the bad guys. Give me a break. And so what happened in Congress was they were making it so American troops could not return fire unless shot at first. An a war that depended on ambush. They were making it so that guys, you know, you have the Viet Cong go and launch mortar strikes, you'd have to call on permission

44:36 to fire back. The Viet Cong knew the game, and they just moved the mortars before the call permission came in. And the same thing was done to our guys in Afghanistan. The same thing was done to our guys in Iraq, and for some reason this became the modus operandi of how we do war. The American troops had everything working against them. The American soldier had everything trying to stop them from effectively fighting. And it's incredible we've been effective as we have as a country despite all of that. And what you're watching now is that hand that's been tied behind their backs is now untied, and you're watching now the full capabilities of the American war machine. Well, I think incredible. I think the retitling of the War Department is huge.

45:19 I mean, now, now, like you said, you're taking off the handcuffs, you're letting these I've always maintained, Josh, from my experience during the Vietnam era, and I served not in Vietnam. I served out of country, but I was in public relations, so I. Saw hardly that was that was that was a mean bush too. Right, Well, but even still, you know, the thing is the things that I saw and the stories you know, just like you're hearing from your grandfather and and even even today, I mean, because the veterans of Vietnam are and I think the veterans of any war are reluctant to talk about the ugliness of war because it reduces our humanity to its lowest common denominator. It is, it is brutal. But the fact of the matter is is when you get to that point and you're going to war.

46:06 It is life and death. It's a clear binary choice, and you've got to unleash the hounds and do what you have to do, go break things up. Sadly you're going to kill some people along the way, but you've got to get the powers to be back at the bargaining table where you can negotiate these things out. And unfortunately, when it gets down to that situation, like where it stands right now in Ukraine and Russia, it you know, that's where they're at. And this is why you got an impasse is because the rules of engagement have been compromised in such a way. And I understand Donald Trump's trying to navigate and negotiate something very very sensitive. I get that, but I think that it's inevitable that he's going to have to tear the band aid off the wound and just go for it. Well, and the reality is this, you know, war is not pretty. You know, international issues like this are not pretty.

46:52 Going in and capturing a foreign leader who leads a cartel is not pretty. But look, they were killing seven to one hundred million Americans every single year with drugs. More Americans are being you mean one hundred thousand, one. Hundred thousand, sorry undred thousand more Americans are being killed every single year than literally the entire Vietnam War exactly, And and and and is that a greater crime than killing a few Communist leaders who are working with our adversaries knowingly killing Americans, dancing around making a show of it, spreading influence through corruption, killing government officials, brutalizing their people.

47:34 Are we the bad guys here? Or are they? And at some point we need to ask what defines righteousness? What defines righteous fury? If we just sit by and let that happen, is that good of us? Or is it good of us to go in there and grab the guy and bring them here and say you stand before trial and you basically have to face up to everything you did. What is the righteous decision here? And I believe that American, the American power system, the American you know idea, is a righteous system. You could argue even you'd agree with everything. It's the best option the world has right now. Right But the thing is you have to ferret out the unrighteousness. You are able to see what was happening in Venezuela, that was clear, But what about the unrighteousness that leaked into America, that leaked into the bureaucracy and through the political process. And I think that's what's making some people very nervous is as we're starting to realize, I mean, we're going through an era of revelation in twenty twenty six that I think is I think it bodes well for the future of this country. If we're going to realize a golden age, We've got to get down to the truth of it all, don't we. In all matters whether you know whatever we're talking about in Minneapolis or you know, in the West coast in California.

48:47 I mean, go right on down the line. This crony politics that has been going on and this fraud that has been going on that Elon Musk said, you know easily is a trillion dollars worth of fraud. I've spoken with several economists, top notch economists, I says, tell me that the thirty eight trillion dollars in debt that we are in right now, tell me that it all has not been tied to vote getting in some form or fashion. Right, Well, you know that that ties into another picture, because we can be patriots, We can love our country, and we can also acknowledge the things we don't like. Corruption, you know, this kind of political you know ice scratch year back, you scratch mind type thing, the fraud being committed.

49:29 Americans are enraged with this and they're done with it. I think that's also what we're doing right now, is we're voting. You know, basically, we're you say, voting with our pocketbooks, and we're voting at the polls. The American people want this whole thing weeded out. We want that whole system gone, and we're mad about it. And so I do think got to have free and got trumpeto power, you know. Well exactly, but we've got to have free and fair elections. And I think the other thing that's going to come out, you know, in your article you talk about the Venezuela iceberg, and we're we're just seeing what's on top. And I think what's gonna happen is this is that we know that all this voter fraud, you know, with the machines and everything like that that came out of Chavez and Madua, out of Venezuela. Ab to go back to Venezuela, because back exactly Whela and to seventy countries right around the world.

50:19 They all bought into to these machines because they could rig They could rig elections. And what's gonna happen. I keep saying, there's gonna be some key thread we're gonna yank on, and the curtain's gonna come down, and we're gonna go okay, because there's lots of smoke and we're just I think we're getting close to the fire here, Joshua. Well, and on the point too, what is the main narrative challenging Trump's legitimacy. It's that, oh, he tried overthrowing democracy January sixth. The basis of that was voter fraud and Trump calling for investigations into voter fraud. People say, well, you know, it went to all these different courts, no evidence, Not a single court looked at the evidence. That's what happened.

51:01 No evidence was ever looked at. So it's a completely false, false argument. The few times where it was looked at, it was verified that fraud did in fact take place. This goes back to Venezuela, and to really open the books, you need to go into Venezuela, and we were not allowed to do that because of you know, Maduro blocking us from investigating. It all goes back to Venezuela and what's going to happen now? Trump is saying that Maduro stole the election. Back in twenty eighteen, even Biden acknowledged that Maduro stole the election. The United States recognizes the official winner of the of the election, as you know, the real government and power there. We're now installing them.

51:42 But what do you have to do to validate them? You need to prove that they were valid. How do you do that? You have to prove that Maduro stole the election. How do you approve Maduro stole the election? Get ready for some interesting times? Yeah, exactly, Well how do you? And I understand the way Trump is walking a tigewire here by installing or allowing the vice president Delce to be installed as the president, because I mean, what I'm hearing out of Venezuela is that she's worse than Maduro. So she's a political animal though, you know, yeah, go ahead. In my opinion, this is I think this is where Trump's thinking is. This is just my own personal take.

52:23 I think Trump understands something about Latin America. He understands that they're all corrupt, every single government, not maybe not everything, but most of them. If they don't work for the cartels, they play ball with the cartels because the cartels control Latin America. He understands that all of this is a giant political game. China, Russia, Iran, Cuba are involved in jerry mandering the whole thing. The cartels have corrupted the entire system. The cartels work with the Chinese Communist Party does the money laundering, supplies the precursors and the synthetic drugs, and the entire thing is a giant political show meant to destabilize the region, gain power over governments through the destabilization, and poison and kill Americans. That's the game. And Trump understands that. He knows you don't get into politics in Latin America unless you're part of it. They kill you otherwise, like happens over and over again in Mexico, they kill you if you're not part of it. They're all part of it. And he understands that, you know, America, going in there and restoring order doesn't mean we have to kill and overthrow every single leader who was working with them.

53:30 We just need to go in there and tell them, look, the game is over, the business is closed, no more drugs. We're going to kill the cartels. If you keep them going, if you're part of it, you target on your head to play ball with us, or you're done. And I think that's the game being played right now. Well, Delsea Rodriguez, I think she has read the tea leaves and the season clearly is that she doesn't necessarily want to be in a jail in New York, although she's very indictable, if not already right. They all are. They all are. And you could say, in some ways that's the beauty of it. If you remember back during the during the campaign, traill, what was Trump talking about? Trump knows this. Trump said it publicly when Trump was on the campaign Trill. He said he was going to do everything he's doing right now. He was going to use special forces to go and do targeted strikes, his drones to bomb their ships and bomb their factories. He was going to use the entire US Navy to do a naval blockade. And he was going to destroy the cartels using military intelligence, using every power they had. And then he said something else. Any government official, anybody, business, anything, who tries to stop us, we will expose your connections to the cartels. What does that tell you? Trump knows they're all connected to the cartels, and they know that if they don't play ball with the United States, they're going down with it exactly.

54:52 Well, twenty twenty six is going to be quite interesting. As I said, it's that the veil is being pulled back, the truth is rising, and in America needs to make a decision. I think seventy seven million Americans have already made a decision. But they can't just sit on their couches and expect Trump to do it all by himself. We've got the midterm elections coming up. It's important that he'd be sent reinforcements so that we don't get into a situation to where the Democrats take over power, and they've already said it will be NonStop impeachment and talk about stalling the government. We already went through thirty three days of a government shutdown, right. Right, and we might have another one. We'll have to see on the point of elections too, America. Look, the American system is not depending on some you know, king from heaven coming to well maybe maybe eventually, but the American system is not about some you know, grand dictator or a leader to come rescue you from your hardships.

55:47 The American system is not waiting for the king to come and make a decree to you know, build a bridge in your yard or something like that. The American system is about the average citizen being engaged in the political system. Civic engagement is our system because we, the American people, are the ones we're supposed to run the system. That is the system of government we had, and if we disengage, we lose it. Civic engagement is the backbone of the American idea, the backbone of what we stand for, the backbone of our democrat you know, democratic republic system, you know constitutional republic. It is the backbone of it. And if you disengage, you're changing the system. If you don't like it, run for office. If you don't like it, vote at least if you don't like it, Look, you need to become civically engaged because that is what our system is.

56:33 Well, that's the power behind we the people, and it's there, it's enshrined in our constitution. And more than that, it gives us the authority to be the boss of them, right. Yeah, Well, that's that's we're based on too, you know. You know, the biggest argument people have against the American system is G it's hard to do anything. G it's hard to change the laws. G it's hard. It's hard to maneuver because there's so many checks and balances, there's so many systems put in place to block you from doing anything. The Founding Fathers were a bunch of insurrectionists. There are a bunch of violent insurrectionists, and they didn't trust government, and so the system they gave us was one where the American people have a lot of power and we're frankly the powers that be do not. It's hard for them to do anything.

Well, they're almost like the Iatola right now, maybe shaking in their boots and thinking, gosh, if the Populace figures this out, I've got to find I've got to find a hotel in Russia to camp out in. I guess for a while, probably hardy. I'm surprised they're not there already. To be honest, no, I'm with you on it. But you know, Joshua, I'm very hopeful, and I know I hear that from you as well. And again look at the truth cannot be denied. And it's up to we the people now to mount up reinforcements, to engage the bureaucrats, to engage our government to do the right thing, to do right by this being thirty eight trillion dollars in debt, allowing the wholesale corruption that has really institutionalized this bureaucracy.

58:14 And this is the system, they always say. I mean, most people will admit and politicians will admit, well, the system's broken. Yeah, but what are you doing about it? But it's just so massive, Like you said, it's so pervasive that it's difficult. And I think it's like you're asking a brain surgeon to do brain surgery on themselves. It's just impossible. It's got to be an outside agency, which is we the people, have got to come in. We're fortunate to have Donald Trump to you know, break up some of the fallow ground right now, but we need to really start getting out the sledgehammers and really digging deep into all this corruption and fraud that's going on. Well, and that's also the course of empires. You know, typically within about two hundred years, all empires have to go through some kind of change. Sometimes it's collapse. Times it's complete change. Sometimes it's a restoration or a revival.

59:05 And I think the big question is are the systems in place to reform something strong enough that the problems can be fixed through, let's say, without the use of a civil war or something like that. I believe that the founding fathers had had deep wisdom and how they set things up, because I do believe the left us of the strong enough system where it can be fixed when things are broken. And I do believe that's also what the American people voted for. What did they vote for? They voted for draining the swamp. Right, that was the narrative, drain the swamp. The American people want the corruption cleaned out. We're not saying we're not saying our systems perfect, but we are saying our idea, the American ideas the best the world has. We want to save the idea and get rid of the problems. And I believe that's what they voted for.

Yeah, you know, we'd like to focus on two things, truth and transparency. And I think I think this country, Bill is starving hungry for an evidence based, reality based conversation.

You know, bring your best argument, but we've got to agree about what is actually happening so we can make the citizens can make good decisions. But you know, we exist to empower citizens to hold government accountable because it's ultimately it's not it's not the government's money, it's our money, it's your money, and we need to we're trying to facilitate and encourage good, good citizen engagement. Well exactly, it's great. I mean, this is the government of for by we the people. You take we the people out and you don't have you know, federalism, you don't have a government that reflects the constitution. A couple of years ago, John OTB said, we're on the brink of a transparency revolution, and that has been the case, I mean over particularly the last couple of years. I think certainly all the great work you guys have been doing for two decades plus now and Elon Musk coming on the scene, all the reveals that are happening. You know, you see what's going on in Minnesota, and you know everything that your gut has told you was could possibly be, it seems more and more that it's got to be a duck because it looks like, talks like and smells.

1:02:45 Like right, that's right, yeah, yeah, and it's it's importantly you know, let's let's try to start out a hopeful though, because there's a lot you know, there's a lot of ways, there's a lot of fraud, there's a lot of inefficiency, and people are our right to be shocked at, outrage and angry. And it's just how do we take that sense that something's not right and make sure that we make things as right as we can. And that's again, that's what we're trying to do by making making the spending transparent. So but let's let's look back. So when you so twenty as we've talked about before, twenty years ago, Tom Coburn and Barack Obama very different senators. I was working for Coburn. You know, we worked together to put all federal spending online for the first time. And if we could put our brains in a world don't have to remember twenty years ago pretty clearly, the Google search engine was a big new thing, right. It was like, oh my gosh, all of a sudden, I grew up as a kid reading encyclopedias and just and just the fact that an encyclopedia could be online was mind blowing, exactly. And that's so that was early kind of Internet. And then we realized, gosh, if we could put government spending online, that will create an ecosystem of groups and individuals who will do better oversight than Congress. And that really has happened. So when you go online today, Bill and you look at it's not just open the books. You know, we're the flagship transparency organization. There are literally thousands of accounts on platforms like x that get all of their data from USA spending.

1:04:17 So a lot of the debates we've had this year about oh my gosh, why is a grant going to this entity in California that's funding that's really creating a magnet for illegal immigration, or not spending housing money correctly, or Minnesota. You know, US is spending captures a lot, it doesn't capture all of it. We'll get we'll get to the gap. There's a lot of gaps. But and then we see what's happened since then. This year there were real cuts. You know, we stopped subsidizing you know, PBS for instance. And I'm actually a big supporter of the arts. You know, I've got all my guitars. I love creating exactly. God created us to be creative people. But I happen to believe that I don't deserve a subsidy for my guitar collection. You know, I should be able to buy my own guitar. It's not your job to buy my guitars.

1:05:01 It's my job, you know. And that's and that's and that's how we ought to think about creativity. So but that one issue in particular was the focus of oversight and transparency for years. And this I just the metaphor I use is transparency cuts through government like water cuts through stone. The flow can seem mundane and unremarkable, but when that flow of water finds a crack, it can wipe away mighty, mighty walls of opposition exactly. And that is how that's what the founders envisioned when they put transparency into the constitution. Transparency is a first principle of representative government and making sure that that that we the people are in the driver's seat, that we're the bus drivers.

1:05:46 The center of gravity is with us. And that's a that's that's been been demonstrated, you know this year. But but but but needs to be needs to be strengthened. Well, it's step one is so first of all, you've got to identify the problem, right, And so if you're not transparent and you haven't identified the problem, then everything you like, all these politicians and even recently in the Hill we heard somebody that you would have thought would have been pretty smart. I mean she was a doctor and everything. You know, they talk in terms. Well, John, you really don't understand because there's a lot of nuance here. No, No, there's not nuance. It either it either is or it isn't.

1:06:32 It's only nuance so that you can skirt accountability. Right, right, yeah, and that's and so let's talk about the Minnesota example for instance. That's great, it's a great so you know, most of you, if you haven't seen watched the nix s early video, watch it. And it's got millions of views and deservedly so it's a beautiful example of citizen journalism and this kind of crowdsource oversight that we've been talking about and facilitating for years. And if you so we're trying to do is we're both we're adding to that investigation. So we're we've just published you can go our sub stack. You know, all of the money flowing to daycares all over the country. Just we're starting with the ten most popular states. But when you think, when you when you read about the fact checking of on Nick Shirley, there's very little substance. It's all they're accusing him of being too political or his you know, his one of his sources ran for public office.

Are these centers, the quote leering center, the learning the in is that really or not? And so we're going to be following that up and retracing his steps, but also looking all over the country and we're it's out. That's one of the that's one of the great tragedies really that we've seen unfold is that you don't have the local newspaper, you don't have the local beat reporter to who's able to go and work and beat Nick Shirley to the punch. And so part we're actually we're actually working to reconstitute that too. There are other foundations, other entities that are trying to revitalize and rebuild local journalism and sort of this non agenda based where let's just get give people the facts, get people with the transparent information, and trust people to use their brain. Trust them.

But as we started out talking about this transparency revolution that's been taking place here and in this information age. So it's it's amazing, John, how all these tools are being utilized and how it really is empowering the people. And I think it's scaring that and rightfully show the traditional politicians who've been able to get away with this, because one of the big questions recently I've been posing to economists time and again is saying, here we are thirty eight trillion dollars in debt, how much of that debt is tied to voter fraud and uh and electioneering? And they said probably all of it.

And you know, we've got to look at all all of our all of our systems, and so that's that's certainly one of them. And uh, you know, just to kind of to kind of close the loop on the on the Minnesota example, there are one are there are a couple of things that really went wrong that are unique to Minnesota. That we don't want to see duplicated. One is that the Biden administration issued a ruling where they they tagged funding to quote enrollment numbers, not actual attendance. And so what that did is it incentivize people to just have fake enrollment numbers right to get to get money. And and that's that's one of these things that's relatively easy to correct. But then the second thing Minnesota did that was that was not smart, is they got rid of their their treasurer office. So I'm also I'm on the board of a group called the State Financial Officers Foundation.

1:17:13 I want to do to the CEO of that group. My friend oj Alaka did a great op ed in the Wall Street Journal describing how Minnesota was a penny wise and a pound foolish because they eliminated their state Treasurer office. And the purpose of that office is to make sure things like this don't happen, to have an internal check and we work opened the books works, you know, handing glove with a lot of treasurers around the country to help them publicize their data to make sure that they have the right systems in place. We did pioneering work with you know, Josh Mandel and Ohio years ago, and and they've they've really we've we've they followed our lead in terms of setting the standard of putting government spending online. So Minnesota did a couple of things really bad that that hopefully will not be replicated. But but I think fraud the big picture point I'll leave you with on Minnesota is fraud is a feature. It's not a bug in our system. In other words, fraud this isn't just one anomaly that happened in Minnesota. Yes, there were unique things about it. But when you have a government that has really set up to reward perverse incentives, you're going to see all kinds of misbehavior. And that's that's why we need to go back to the founders and have a twenty first century federalism, which is really go back to the numera enumerated powers. Instead of having four hundred agencies, let's have four and maybe.

1:18:33 Five yea, and go back to that are accountable, you know, and accountable to the voters. The other thing too, not big surprise here that Biden would do this, because it it reminds me of what Barack Obama did with Obamacare. It wasn't about providing healthy It was just about a number, and so you get what you asked for and the people were rewarded for just putting people on the doll whether they were legit or not, and or legal or not. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah. And one of the things the highlights of kind of last year is I was able to testify a couple of times on the hill. One was the House the House DOS Committee that we talked about all the federal funding that goes to furnish vacant buildings. That was that was a funny ring and in millions of dollars going to paintings and conference stables and solar powered picnic tables and all these things. But then I testified before the Senate Small Business Committee on fraud within the small business sector.

1:19:35 And one of the things we see over and over again is that the best way to make something expensive is for government to make it affordable. So when you see when you have governments, whatever government subsidizes, it gets more expensive. And to your commacare. That's one of the biggest expenses for small businesses is all of the healthcare costs have gone way way up because the government has gotten between the purchase ser of healthcare and the product of the doctor. Government is really the middleman, and it's encouraged health insurance companies to be the middleman between the patient and the doctor. Yeah, and like you said, this is an exception. I mean, this is a feature of government intrusion. Whether we're talking well, let's go ahead and subsidize electric vehicles. We're going to give the consumer seven thousand dollars to go out and buy an electrical vehicle. So what did the dealers do?

1:20:30 You know, they said, well, you can't have all that money, so they got their price. So it was a windfall profit for these dealers. I mean that's it's just. Right, same principle. Right exactly. So you know, they've got this system down. So wherever the government money goes, well then they're going to find a way to capture it. And it's you know, part human nature. And like you said, it's a feature of the system. So that means the system is broken. So is there any interest on Capitol Hill to fix it? Yeah, there's there's a Yeah. I think you know, the Minnesota case bill I think is is uh encouraging. It's it's it's obviously discouraging case. It's shocking and terrible, but it's one of these rare moments that's a galvanizing moment.

1:21:15 And we remember the early days days of the Tea Party. We were trying to foment and encourage a citizen led kind of revolt against big government, and that succeeded, and we we actually moved the needle, we get we got a number of forms, We got rid of your marks for a decade, We cut spending in real terms for the first time since the end of the Korean War. And this, this Minnesota case feels has that feel of the start of something very encouraging, the start of something promising, where people are fed up and they're but they're fed up in a very constructive way. It isn't it isn't just burn burn burned the country down. It's hey, how do we renovate? And and that's really what's strong, what's so wonderful about our American experiment is our our American revolution was not realistic. The French Revolution was neolistic exactly, and ours is about, hey, let's continually reimagine, rebuild, renovate.

1:22:10 Sometimes you do have to get the sledshammer out and knock down a wall that never should have been built to get back to the original vision. But the end purpose is about creating something. It's about It isn't about tearing things down. It's about creating opportunities for growth and flourishing. Well, like you talked, and you reference burning things down. Of course, Minnesota has become famous for burning things down because it seems to be a deflection of what we're really dealing with. And so you know, our caution to we the people is, hey, keep your eye on the ball. Don't get distracted by what the media or these other interests are doing. See. But again, if you don't know what vision or what the mission is and that what you're holding onto, you're going to be easily discouraged and dissuaded because there's going to be, as there always is, opposition to get this country back on track. A lot of politicians over the years have talked about, oh, we need to do a better job, but you know, it's just it's just rhetoric.

1:23:09 There's no substance to it. It's just conversation to get you through an election period. Sure, sure, yeah, that's and that's why people just have to demand results. And that's and we've seen these again, but we really have seen changes in pivots where nineteen ninety four is a great example. You know Tom Cobern who I worked for for years, he was a member of the class in nineteen ninety four, you know, I was still in college, but then worked for him three years later and started with him in ninety seven. Brought this book Breach of Trust with them, you know twenty years ago that he had a great you know, service in the Senate, but he had he was a person that had a normal career. He coming to Congress is really a demotion because he had a very thriving medical practice.

1:23:52 He was a business owner, believed he was a true citizen legislator. And I think there are thousands of Tom Coburn's out there, people that have done things in the real world. They might be a welder, a teacher, or pastor, a carpenter, plumber, you know, somebody that has a banker, whatever field they're in, they have something to contribute. So I think the doors, the doors of public service are wide open and more open than people realize because the perception is is that there's an establishment in Washington. It's sort of protected and there is self protection commas protect themselves. But at the same time, anyone can run for office and win. And whether people love or hate Donald Trump, well he certainly proved that anyone who decides to run for office can win. And that's an incredible strength of our system that's menable to change. That change really can happen.

1:24:44 We saw it in nineteen ninety four, and we saw it with a big Tea Party election in twenty ten where exactly people saw to your point in ear allow in Obamacare. They we the people figured it out and realized, you know, we don't really want our healthcare to go up. And of course we didn't see the reforms we wanted out of that, but we did see electoral change. And there's a lot of you know, we could spend two hours on how we need to have better elections, better process, but the fact is is that is that we're we're in a better spot than oftentimes we think we are. And then, well, I've maintained the voice of way the people needs to be augmented and not throttled down. And that's what happened. You know, you mentioned the Tea Party, the Tea party movement. Oh gosh, I'll tell you did the establishment and everybody freak out over that. I mean, you get interference from the government, the lowest learner, her shenanigans that she did that I maintained, that's still in action to this day. It's probably affected I don't know what, at least a dozen voting cycles. You think about that, John, It's disenfranchised the voter, and you can't have that in a true democracy. I mean, you got a lot of people on the left talking about democracy. It's my first question is how do you define it? I mean, you can't even define a woman. So let's talk about democracy.

Like you said, they're seeing what's going on in Minneapolis, and their sensing, I mean, their gut is telling them this is just the beginning. Elon Musk said, hey, look at I think we could find a trillion dollars, maybe even more if you got some cooperation. But boy did they freak out. And you know that's what happens when you turn the lights on in corruption. All the cockroaches start scattering, don't they. Right, that's right, yeah, yeah, And it's important. Let's talk about DOGE for a minute, right, because Elon Musk came in with Doge and a lot of people are frustrated that Doge didn't cut more. And I wish they would have cut more. But but but I would disencourage people.

1:31:04 You can't when there's an effort to try to cut spending and it doesn't work as well as you think. You can't give up. And so so Elon the way the way I would describe Elon Musk, cause it's kind of like, if you, if you're a sports fan, if you remember Michael Jordan retired from basketball and he played baseball, right, Oh, Michael Jordan's a brilliant athlete. He's going to be great at baseball. Well, it turns out he's actually much better at basketball. And so so Elon Musk, it turned out he wasn't as good at cutting government spending as I wanted him to be. But he's still great at creating SpaceX, he's still great at TESLA. He still has a lot to contribute to our country, and I think we should thank him for the effort he put in to try to reduce the size of the scope of government. But let's let's learn from what work. Let's let's build on on those lessons, and and and sort of the tech sector, you know when people talk about when there's like a startup venture that fails, that isn't really failure because that that failure is teaching that CEO to do it differently next time. It's teaching everyone in the field to do to do it differently, and so so in the electorate, these things, same things are true. Like we we offered with Cobra and thousands of amendments that literally thousands that failed, but he didn't give up. He got Okay, well this this approach didn't work. Let's try a different approach. And then we found the bridge to nowhere. We found the Woodstock Museum, we found shrimp on a treadmill, things that are still talked about years and years later. And so that's what I would just sort of say two musk and people that are mad that Doge didn't do more,

1:32:34 it's like, well, let's you know, just because it doesn't it doesn't hit the mark immediately doesn't mean the mark isn't Because the mark is there. We've got to hit the mark. Yeah, built, let's build on that. And there's and there's a lot of findings that they that they had that you know, Congress still needs to act on and members members are are looking into all these things. Well, Johnny, you bring up a good point in talking about the comparison of Michael Jordan, that is that Michael Jordan was gifted and wired for basketball more than baseball and an Elon Musk by the same comparison is that, I mean you're coming into a new venue here altogether. That you know, you don't think like politicians. I mean you think like a businessman. Donald Trump thinks like a businessman.

1:33:15 Got a problem, fix it? You know, it's a it's a fifteen minute problem. Well you fired? Yeah, yeah, easy, you know Capitol Hill. No, that that's a you know that that can be an entire campaign in years long. But meanwhile you've got all kinds of wasted money. People are injured in the process. And again this all yields to you know what you referenced earlier, and that's the size of government. It's way too cumbersome and inefficient. Yeah, And I think what we were able to do successfully is when you when you when you find a problem, you have to loiter over the target. Okay, you've got to You got to hover over it and have a combined arms approach air power, land power, seapower until until the problem is solved. And and then we kind of learned that the hard way. So there are examples of like social Security disability, where billions of dollars were being defrauded.

1:34:08 We identified a few fraudsters. There's a guy named Eric con who was who was encouraging people to sign up fraudulently for Social Security disability. He was getting paid millions and millions of dollars. But then we identified them sixty minutes, did a segment. Apple TV did a documentary about him, and that changed. That saved billions of dollars. But that took and months and months of work. Again loitering over the target. And this is where Covered is a doctor. He was able to use that perspective of Okay, well the disease isn't cured, I just symptoms. I want to treat the disease and find the root cause. And and that's and and sort of the wisdom of we that people could figure that out. Like people know, they look at they look at Minnesota and they think, okay, this is not just happening in Minnesota. That is absolutely right.

You know, we've gone on to another, you know, another thing. You know, maybe there's we need to revisit some of these areas that Doge exposed and say, Okay, you know, like anything, Johnny, as you know in business, it's twenty percent of the problem is going to give you eighty percent of the yield. So what are the twenty percent of the problems that we have out there that we can identify that could make eighty percent difference? Yeah, that's exactly right. Yeah, I think you know. One a couple of things in particular is you know they Doze talked about all the the the antiquated federal account records, keeping all the retirement records in the mountain up in Pennsylvania, right, Fixing things like that can have an enormous impact. But again that that is such a tedious, time consuming thankless, but that that kind of work and that kind of rigor makes a huge difference for taxpayers. And so I hope that they continue to focus on those And I know, I know members of Congress are looking at that. But but I think like all of your listeners, they listen, they hear this and think, yeah, absolutely that that makes sense.

1:36:14 It's a no brainer, right, And politicians have to trust the wisdom of the crowd. In other words, the wisdom of decent people to realize, hey, this is a tedious task. It's kind of like, you know, pulling weeds in your garden. Well, if you really want to make a difference in your garden, you don't just mow the flower bed. You have to get on your hands and knees and I eject weeds and separate. You don't you don't want to. Everyone has had an experience where they pull up a weed and they accidentally pull up your tomato plan or to me, it's something you spend all the time caring for them. That's not a fun experience. But but again, there's no quick fix, there's no magic answer. It's just people. People are right to demand and expect officeholders to do hard work and to be to be tenacious and be disciplined about it.

1:36:59 But it seems like they're not. John. I mean, the question that comes to mind here with my audiences, they go, where's the leadership? I mean, right now, you know, like him or not? Thank God for Donald Trump. Donald Trump in many ways is exam sampling leadership and and and he's met with resistance and uh, you know, for ego's sake, establishment, call it what you want, you know, the Beltway Blues or whatever, you know, they're not quite catching it and saying look at you know, right now, I think we have an opportune time. We're on the verge. I think Trump is right on and saying we're on the verge of a true golden age for this country. And the thing is is the reverberations are going outside of the country and it is touching the entire planet.

1:37:44 John m Yeah, And I think I've ster what we're seeing in Iran is a good example that I think I think, you know, I wouldcourage anyone to go look at look at all the images of Iran before the Antolas versus after heartbreaking, right, and if that, if that imagined the benefit of that regime falling, what that would do for our national security budget, what it would do for so many, so many areas that affect our lives every day. Yeah, Venezuela, the same thing. I mean, these poor people, I mean not that long ago, John, three decades ago, one of the most wealthiest you know, countries in the top five certainly, and now I mean inflation through the roof.

1:38:28 I mean we complained at nine percent, they were at one thousand percent plus and the people, the poor people were eating out of the back of Maduial's trash trucks. Right right, It's yeah, it's heartbreaking. And and compare that to a country like Poland. You know, Poland has had explosive growth because they've embraced free market capitalism and I've traveled a lot and it kind of in Eastern Europe and you know, behind the Iron Curtain again, like we we remember that transition, and it's remarkable to see how some countries have really flourished and others of struggle. John, looking back in twenty twenty five, what would you say was the biggest accomplishment for Open the Books in exposing you know, something that's just so hugely fraudulent. Yeah, I mean there are so many to choose from, and I encourage we have a sub stack up and people can look at that. There's some some highlights. I think, you know, we looked at bid near improper payments at nine hundred and twenty five billion dollars. There's a lot. Our progress in scaling that back center to earns from Ohio or Iowa rather has been has been a great leader on that. I think I think I would I would kind of put it a tie at two different things.

1:45:25 I think there's real movement towards an upgrade of USA spending. That's build that I talked about earlier where we put all government spending online for the first time, and we got all kinds of pushback and people said, oh, there's no way the federal agencies will coordinate, that's impossible, it's a fool's errand but we figured it out and they and you know, all of that spending is now is now searchable. Now. The challenge is it's not going up as fast as it needs to, and there are big gaps within states. So our ambition back twenty years ago wasn't just to pass a law. It was to create a norm and to really change political culture, to make it an expectation that, of course government spending should be searchable. Why what what possible reason would you not have to search government spending? And so the standard should be real time transparency and that's our tagline, is our mission. And opened the books. Every day I'm online in real time exactly, and one of and we talked about what could what did those accomplish? Well, one of the great things they accomplished is they got access to the Treasury payment system.

1:46:27 And that's the I call that the administrative state Holy of Holies. It's where only the goverment of double exactly. And really, the Treasury payment system is America's checkbook. It's so, Bill, you, just as you and I have the right to go to our personal account, we should be able to go to the Treasury payment system at any time and see the flow of money. Because what it's not the government's money, it's our money. It's exactly, it's our personal account. What possible reason do we have to not see that? And of course there are legitimate nationals. We don't need to be publishing the address of someone's CIA safe house, and you know privacy matters, those are national security privacy. That's an easy exception. So Congressman ship Roy introduced a bill to at least give Congress access to that system.

1:47:11 And Chip is a great leader in Congress who's actually running for Attorney General now in Texas. But I'm working with Chip and other other members of the House to do a stronger version of that bill to create real time transparency for every American citizen and to make that the standard in federal law, and we want to build on that to do the same thing in all fifty states. So again, one of the issues in Minnesota is we talked about they got their treasurer's office, but we could even have a better solution, which is it's good to always have a treasurer office because you need someone on the ground locally who's sniffing around and making sure there's no games being played. But we need to dramatically upgrade our transparency law. So there was real movement towards that in twenty twenty five, and we would accelerate that in twenty twenty six. That's probably if I would just pick one, that's probably one of the great advances of this past year.

1:48:01 Do you think that, uh, and maybe you already do this, And I'm just thinking, you know, off top of my head that there should be an award for all these uh, you know, these fraudsters and everything goes out and I'm just envisioning a trophy with with the with the shrimp on a treadmillamill trophy. Sure, yeah, exactly, I mean yeah, from open the books, I mean, here's the here's the big money wasters of twenty twenty five or twenty twenty six or something like that, and uh, you know, and you don't want to be caught with the you know, the shrimp on a treadmill. That's a that's a very good idea. I think I think we're going to steal that. We'll go away. It's I yea, I thought maybe we already had something like that, but as you were talking, I'm thinking that would be awesome. You know, the shrimp on a treadmill trophy. You know, you've been awarded. It's like, you know, Rownan Martin's fickle Finger of fate. But this would be uh, you know, one of those uh you know, we would laugh about it. We love, but it's also a serious issue and help keep in the front of everybody's mind the seriousness that you know, this is the wasting of the people's money, right.

There's a lot to kind of look at an unpacked and we're going to provide the numbers and data for people to make up their own minds about John.

1:52:55 I'll tell you we're looking forward to that because, uh, you know, we the people who sometimes think that we're becoming a bit cynical here because the way we see the money, you know, being utilized, it seems that, you know, especially with these NGOs, money was going out to these NGOs and then it was coming back into the pockets of politicians, and this is just exacerbating the fraud and corruption all the more and the misrepresentation of we the people. That's right. Yeah, I would just just kind of end on it. Again. Back on an encouraging note is that when when we the people get engaged and make their voices heard, change does happen. Politicians are terrified of tack revolts, truly, and there's and again I want to see an enlightened revolt.

And if you, if you if you simply shine a spotlight on these on these transactions, on these games, that get played like you just described of you know, saxpayer money going to an ng O then going back the politicians, you know friends or their their their own LLC that's running the contract. Right, So the more the more people know that all that's going to get exposed, the less we see of that. So Sunshine is a powerful deterrent and disinfectant, not just act, it's a deterrent. And we have the technology and we're also working a lot on on sort of the next generation AI tech tech tools to help map do predictive analytics on government waste and fraud to prevent it from happening.

But the best way to stop a surveillance state is to create a surveillance citizenry and create superintelligent citizens and exactly own these tools and control these tools, and not to not to delegate authority to some mysterious AI agent, but use that agent to your benefit. Let it be like a shovel in your hand or a track. Right, That's that's the future. Right, Freedom is with the individual. It's not with the government. They're not the ones to give us. That is clearly stated in our constitution. It's God given and we must exercise in order to maintain a free people and a democratic republic all that our founders had envisioned for us.

I think AI is going to go a long ways, like all other technologies that come a long way. I mean it created whole new industries. So I think we're at the early exploratory, surgeon stages of it all. And I think good times are ahead, and I think it's the time to, you know, embrace it, not not run away from it, but embrace it and as you say, utilize it for good. Right, you got it? You got it.
